Transcript

The game is over. Paul George money in the pain, but the postgame reaction has just begun. Khi Leonard is so smooth in the mid range. This is Clippers locker Room, a recap of today's game and a look ahead, your hope for LA Clippers basketball, and now your host, You, sir, are a bad man, Adam Ousley. Clippers make it three straight as they win in San Antonio over the Spurs. Welcome into your postgame show.

I'm Adam Oslin. Coming up. We'll get to your second half highlights of postgame box score, and you'll hear from the head coach in the players after this one. Ted Emrick is still with us, though Ted, the reason I didn't say the score is I keep getting a different one on my box score. It's all over the place. You want to give me the final there from at and T Center. Adam me too, And that's why I was trying to cover for it at the end of the game, saying

that Paul George had another thirty point game. It's what the pros do. I mean, it's what Noah would certainly do. I try to do it as well. We finally have our updated box score. The final I got the final right at him. Give me some credit. One thirteen, one oh six. PG thirteen ends up with thirty five and twenty three in the second half. Again, you're at that point, like I said, carbon copy of the Rockets game on Wednesday, just about build the big lead,

lose it. Second unit falters just a bit okay, third quarter? Who needs to step forward? Well, of course it's Paul George. Go ask the All Star to do something. And Adam he was just so efficient tonight, twelve of seventeen from the field, five of seven from three, six to seven at the line. It's just what you expect now from PG. Yeah, he's definitely gonna be in the running for Player of the Week in

the Western Conference, depending on what happens Sunday against Utah. But of those thirty five points, had fifteen of them in the third quarter, Clippers were down by as many as ten. It felt like he stepped up whenever they needed him too. But also John Wall went for his season minutes high of twenty seven in this one and played I believe the entire fourth quarter and had nine of his fifteen plus just a couple of spectacular feeds. I'm talking about

once to have Viza Zoobos especially yes for that slam. Again, what were we talking about before the game? What can John Wall be for this team? We're getting another glimpse coming off the game in which he played a season low fifteen minutes, going for twenty seven and Telou could not take him off the floor in the fourth quarter. And for good reason. This is a guy who can be a part of that closing line up. Just imagine it.

Dare to dream. It's fun to dream if you're a Clippers fan with a healthy George, a healthy Leonard and oh, by the way, a playmaker, another playmaker in John Wall. We certainly saw it tonight in the fourth a couple of big shots also from Marcus Morris, and some great camaraderie. When he was on the floor, John Wall took a seat and laid down next to him like he needed a breather playing that entire fourth quarter. But Marcus stepped up with two big three pointers. He's got a knack for

that as a Clipper man, hasn't he. You could argue even before his time as a Clipper. But just when the moment needs it, Marcus Morris can rise to it. And yet again, a dagger. It's funny. Yeah, when John Wall slid in there, you know from our vantage point, it happened in the far corner. I saw Wall slide. It's like, this has got to be a joke, right, But I didn't want to go that far on the air to speculate that. And sure enough they get up and you know they're poling around. It was good to see both

of them get to their feet right away. Dans and days for the Clippers. They win one thirteen to one oh six over the Spurs, and San Antonio make it three straight. Ted Emrick was on the call. Ted, fantastic job filling in for Noah Eagle. We very much appreciate it, my friend Adam, my pleasure, so much fun. Enjoy the rest of the year. My man sounds good. Coming up more from ten, Emrick. We'll have second half highlights. Clippers come back down ten. They win one

thirteen to one oh six. Hint, said Antonio over the Spurs, and you're listening to the Los Angeles Clippers radio network comes off in the league game about game, shouts Hi, I'm over George and Lennard running. You're listening to LA Clippers basketball up top Clipper puts it down plus the foul every game

all season long. On their official hole, Clippers led by seventeen, we're down by ten and would come back to wins one thirteen and one out six in San Antonio over the Spurs. We think that's the final box score. I don't know why it's fluid. I'm still looking for the official one from the Clippers here. But three and three and a row either way for your Clippers now, and they've done so with the last two being on the road. They complete the Texas two steps. They went in Houston Wednesday, they

went in San Antonio tonight. Still to come, we'll have Clippers to for you eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six sixty nine eight seven two five seventy and you'll hear from the head coach and the players after the victory. But right now, second half highlights. I mentioned Clippers are up by seventeen in that first quarter, but they trailed at the half by

four, a twenty one point turnaround by the San Antonio Spurs. However, in that third quarter it was Paul George who kept it close for the Clippers. Seven to shoot for the Clippers George got Jeremy Sohan off his feet side step three pointer. Hey rattles at home. That's the kind of start you want to see. From PG. Thirteen. Clippers within a point at fifty eight fifty seven. George handles at high right for Los Angeles screen from Zubots.

George taking Peartle off the dribble. George chumper pure, Paul George giving the Clippers a bucket when they needed it. They're down six sixty five fifty nine. The cell slashes in left to right. Kick it to Josh Richardson, stolen by Paul George. He's top ten in the NBA and steals. George churn to the basket and he lays at home. Paul George one man fast break. The Clippers are down four at seventy two sixty eight. George

has nineteen. George rises up right, elbow jumper got it. Paul George with another bucket for the Clippers. Seventy four seventy the Spurs still in front. George now with twenty one. Paul George had fifteen points in the third quarter alone. Clippers still trailed, though by four after three it was eighty six eighty two. San Antonio, but in came John Wall, who would play the entire fourth quarter for the Clippers and made every minute count. Wall

lobott to Morris, short corner right, guarded by Trey Jones. Morris get past Jackson, touch it to Wall. Three pointer over Purtle, right down the chute, John Wall with an answer. The Clippers are down four at ninety one eighty seven, right to left, John Wall storming in transition. A finger rolls at home, floating it in with the right hand. The

Clippers trail by three ninety four ninety one. Wall in double figures with eleven Paul George lobs it into John Wall, this time guarded by Trade Jones to Reggie. Jackson writes out of the floor, guarded by Richardson back to Wall, thirteen to shoot against Jones. Wall pounds the dribble. Wall muscles in for two and he flexes for emphasis. The Clippers are down by a point

at ninety four ninety three, eight and a half to go. Wall centered the floor, starts right, heads left, Wall darting to the basket. He lays at home. John Wall exploding tonight fifteen points for Wall to go with six assists one thirteen one oh two John Wall with nine of his fifteen in that fourth quarter, but to help close things out, it was back to PG thirteen. Paul George walks at across half court, guarded by Kata Bates, d up screen from Wall, bounce it to wall, right elbow

wide open. Reggie Jackson three pointer from the right corner. Yes, sir, Reggie vision might be back to twenty twenty. We're tied at ninety six. George left wing, three off the feet from Wall. Yes, Paul George can's the triple and the Clippers are back in fronts ninety nine ninety six. George riff a thirty spot. George has it high right, crossing over

Richardson. George attacks met by Peartle. It didn't matter. Paul George muscles it in time out San Antonio. This week he has been MVPG thirteen George with thirty two one oh one ninety seven the Clippers lead. Marcus Morris would hit a couple of big three pointers also to help close it out, and

the Clippers come back down ten. They win one thirteen to one oh six over the Spurs in San Antonio. Clippers next game, well, they come back home to downtown Los Angeles. They're taking on the Utah Jazz Sunday Night. I'm playing some good basketball. Tip time is that seven? Let's Clippers count down your pregame shows starting at six. Coming up next, we're looking for the head coach Toronto lou with postgame audio as well as the players.

Clippers make it three straight. I'm winning in San Antonio? What thirteen to one oh six? More postgame right after this here on the Clippers break you on network. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on hold. He is a one man record and defensive man on the home of your LA Clippers way ago. He has been box score. You got it right, fifteen minutes after the game was over, one thirteen to one oh six your final score. Clippers win in San Antonio. They make it three straight.

And yeah, they're coming back to Cali taking on the Utah Jazz Sunday night and town Los Angeles tip time at seven pm. We'll have Clippers countdown for you starting at six. Coming up though, on AM five seventy LA Sports Here in Southern California, we got Clippers talk for you eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven, two five seventy is the phone number or get to me at follow Adam a PG.

Thirteen leads them with thirty five. John Wall plays the entire fourth quarter has fifteen and six and zero turnovers and big Zoo of Viza Zubots with seventeen fifteen and four blocks. Clippers win by seven in San Antonio outside of Los Angeles. We are leaving you until Sunday night. Coming up next though. Here on AM five seventy LA Sports, it's Clippers Talk. Oh, welcome into Clipper Stock. Here's a new share from town. You won't be able to

deny if you're going to go to the NBA Finals. I believe in my heart this is the best team in the history of the franchise. I am all about the Clipper Nation. This is Clippers Talk. of Clippers Talk. Here's Adam Oslin. Clippers make it three in a row as their threes are starting to fall. They win one thirteen to one oh six in San Antonio over the Spurs. Welcome in the Clippers talk. I'm Adam Oslin. Eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number coming up. We got postgame audio from coach Lou. You'll also hear from John Wall and Chuck Mockler

from Clips and Dip doing a little double dip tonight. He'll be here too. I mentioned john Wall there. John Wall had fifteen points to nine of them came in the fourth quarter where he played every second of the period and now maybe those minutes of shirting a ramp up for him. They had him on a minutes restriction. He blew past his minutes high on the season of twenty five. He had twenty seven played minutes in this one, and they

were necessary in that fourth where it wasn't just the downhill attack. He hit a big three pointer a couple of them in this game, and had a no look feed on an alley up to a Vita. Zubos was just doing a little bit of everything as well as Big Zoo was seventeen and fifteen. Don't take him for granted. Four blocks. He's been a menace. He's been patrolling the paint as well as anyone all season. Just vicious with the throwdowns dunt get on multiple spurs. Zoobots is coming into his own at just

the right time for this Clippers team. At the age of twenty five, he's been their most consistent player this year, hasn't missed a game and has been the defensive anchor as they hold San Antonio to one oh six. That's a good number, and the Clippers somehow were able to clean up the turnovers in the fourth where I want to say they only had two turnovers. Let me see, Oh, they had three leading to zero points and Saint Antonio

had three leading to seven for the Clippers. Finally, they started to make the Spurs pay because going into the second half off of seven Spurs turnovers, the Clippers had just four points off of eight Clippers turnovers in the first half, the Spurs had fifteen, and even with an unreal performance from Devin Vacel who finished twelve of sixteen a career high twenty nine four or five from distance,

Clippers hold on. They hold the Spurs to just twenty points in the fourth after a great first quarter where the Clippers led by seventeen, got out of it leading by ten, held the Spurs to just eighteen points in the first They closed out the fourth as well, holding them to twenty while the

Clippers had thirty one points in that fourth quarter. Paul George said he wants to be the best defensive player to start games the first six minutes and to end games the final six minutes eight six six nine, eight seven two five. Seventy of the phone numbers were screening your phone calls here. Paul George, by the way, he might be your Western Conference Player of the week.

He's definitely going to be in the running. Another thirty five point performance on twelve of seventeen shooting, and when five of seven from three big three pointer in the fourth quarter Marcus moore Is The only threes he hit were huge ones on the fourth But Paul George had fifteen in that third quarter just to keep the Clippers within striking distance, because after leading by seventeen in the first quarter, they were down at the half by four, They were down by

ten in the third quarter, and Paul George just refuses to let them lose right now. Ever, since he called himself out for a bad performance against the Pelicans or for a bad start to the season, outside of that forty point game in Sacramento, he has been on a tear now the last three games for Paul George. Let me give you these box scores. This these

stat lines. Thirty five against Houston back in downtown Los Angeles plus nine boards, eight assists, two blocks, and six steals, had twenty eight in Houston Wednesday night, and they're one on nine, one on one victory over the Rockets plus five assists, and tonight thirty five again plus five assists, five turnovers. You'll live with it. But twelve of seventeen shooting seventy percent from the field. Even better from three, it's seventy one percent on five

of seven shooting. I told you the three point shooting would come around. They have too many good three point shooters. This isn't a personnel issue, like what's going on with the basketball team across the hall. The Clippers have the guys, they just haven't been making them. They've had the looks, they haven't made them. Fifteen to thirty three, that's forty six percent just about from the outside in this one, as they've been shooting only thirty one

percent from three on the season, they're starting to drop. And if they can just control the turnovers and do a little bit better of a job on the offensive rebounds where well sand It's Tony only had six in this one to the Clippers three, they're going to be in business. Offensively. They're starting to turn things around. The last couple of games. You can see it. Defensively they've been good. They've been top five. They were good enough

tonight, especially when they had to be down the stretch. All right, let's start things off with Chrissie Boy, back to back this week for Chrissie Boy and pennsyl in Erie, Pennsylvania. Chrissie Boy, what's up? Hey? Thanks Helena Adam, Wow, great stuff. Hard to argue anything there. It's a lot of fun though with the Clippers. Hopefully paulbur and the crew can do it this year. Meantime, hard to overcome Hartenstein out here with the Knicks, and you know, without a couple of players for the

Sixers, but still Hartenstein was phenomenal. Hartenstein's a very good player. The Clippers couldn't afford to keep him. Unfortunately he got eight million a year. All they had left to give was six million per year. They gave it to John Wall who's had a nice start to this season and just had at least his best quarter tonight in the fourth. Great stuff, Thank you, appreciate it. I'm a great night, all right, Chrissy boy appreciates you.

Eight six sixty nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy as the phone number coming back, you'll hear from John Wall. I just mentioned, by the way, we're monitoring Luke Kennard, who went out in the first half, only played nine minutes, and I don't want to give out the wrong injury update here. We'll update you on

the other side of what's going on with Luke Kennard. Clippers had to overcome the loss of him no Roco obviously, no Kawhi Leonard against San Antonio, who was coming off their worst loss in franchise history, but they were missing their best players. They brought him back in Johnson and they got an unreal performance from Devin Fasel, a great Papvitch team. You knew he had their attention. After they lost by almost fifty to the Raptors. The other night,

Kelton Johnson was back. This is a very good road victory for the Clippers. Dare I say their best victory of the season three straight. Now they return home to take on Utah Sunday night. More on that plus Charles Mackler from Clips and Dip. I'm out of Moslin. You're listening the Clipper stock here on AM five seventy y'all a sports front. It was blocked by George. This is LA Clippers basketball. He is a one man record crawl and defensive man on the home of your LA Clippers. From the bottom of

my will be blow was biting his game. I'm I'm gonna give him the stop. The l who the most players claim to be it get it from the Eight Counties at home of the Bacon Clippers win one thirteen to one oh six in San Antonio over the Spurs. Welcome back into your postgame show.

This is Clippers stock. I'm out of Moslin eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventies still to come, and you'll hear from John Wall. We'll get to Charles Mockler from clips and dip speaking john Wall, four of his six assists coming in that fourth quarter, a couple of beautiful ones to Viza Zoo Boss. Those two have

been a really good ten I'm working together. John Wall has worked well with centers and big men in the past, but the downhill attack getting layups and then fighting Paul George for a three point or two PG thirteen with eight of his thirty five points in the fourth quarter and has been on a tear. And it's not a coincidence that had happened. After he said I'm taking responsibility. It's my fault. We have this record right now and we're gonna turn

this around. And he's completely lived up to every bit of those words with his actions, but especially the last three games now Paul George two thirty five point games in between there a twenty eight point game. The all around game has been great from him, and the Clippers offense slowly but surely is darting to come alive where they put up fifty nine points in the second half they

win one thirteen to one oh six, three straight victories. Now they're coming back home and take on the Utah Jazz Sunday night in downtown Los Angeles. Tip time for that once at seven, Clippers countdown at six, Let's go to Javier and the Habber Heights. Javier, you're on Clippers stop without hm Aslin. What's up? What's up at him? He likes you said earlier, Paul George. He's just plain out of his mind. He's not gonna let them lose. Since that one game that he said that he was,

you know, his responsibility, he's been playing. I'll standing last number one the second team. John Wall, I mean what he played twenty seven minutes and he has fifteen points and zero turnovers. For a minute, Dart said he was John Stockton. I mean no, it was just John Wall. It was just five time All Star John Wall. I'd be but zero turns. I mean I was like I saw the Boston like Zoo trues Wold and the last inger Adam Zoobach. I mean, I mean, what is the

state team rebounds points? I mean the win. He explain he has a chance to make the All Star team. I mean honestly as the center of course, because he's just been out of his mind and the last year of Adam. What's going on with Luke Nard is he okay, I got the update for you, Javier. Thanks for the handoff. Good segue. So Luca Nard left the game in the first half with chess discomfort. Coach Lou post game said he's fine. He's flying back with the team tonight. He

could have come back into tonight's game. Clippers wanted to play it safe. They found a way anyways. I do want to give a shout out to Reggie Jackson two, who played better. It has been taking a lot of heat, but he had a big three pointer, big government with a big bailout three in the fourth started the game off quick with He had seven straight

points for the Clippers at one point. But John Wall in that fourth quarter he generated nine straight points from himself and passes to Evitza Zoo Bots who's finishing everything around the rim right now. Zu's a monster, he is. He had three blocks. I think at the first quarter. Zoo is feasting, beasting. Never seen him play this good consistently, and he's been good. But he's still just twenty five. He's still getting better and he's been their

most consistent players so far this season. Morris in Long Beach, you're on Clippers talking without in Maslin, what's up Morris? The clip the Clippers beat again. Yeah, they won the game, but everybody's saying that they're not the same. Well, let me tell you something. Don't you be in those square The Clippers going to win and everybody see that's rock. We got a team in it ain't no doubt. My mama's ego aa in show my mama's agwa in show Morris and long Beach has left the building. Well,

Don Morris our first rhyme of the season. While we have a moment tough to follow that, Let's pause ten seconds for station identification. Here on AM five to seventy al A Sports, this is La Clippers Basketball, AM five seventy KLAC, Los Angeles, ninety eight seven KYSR HD to Los Angeles and iHeart radio station. All right, let's hear from John Wall postgame, who absolutely was critical and a difference maker, played all twelve minutes in the fourth

quarter, went for a season nine minutes at twenty seven. It's a great sign, but most importantly it's just the play. Six assists to zero turnovers, fifteen points nine in the fourth Here he was post game, I believe with Jimmie Majo those guys just playing well, I wasn't there playing will and

then my motions get investment in that game. But for me to be able need to put his team haven't come out and competed out level and do today they want me to do it. I wasn't wait as much as possible, you know, looking at the way that TJ has gone so far, still early in the seeds and you guys were down, you were up to quite a bit in that first quarter, seventeen points. Do you end up pointing into the half trailing who was the mind instead of the team in order to

get back in and make that place? Oh? Just me. I gave him three back door lay us. I mean that's what we can do. Even when we made a point in the third quarter, I gave a big backdoor lanup. But we've got to do a better job of not point switching, being at the box out do the little things when we got there. Now it starts to me just being vote. But we know Peas. I got Peas go to He made some many big plays for us. I even was sitting think of Rold that I never did before and getting the ball.

So that's a whole new adjustment. For me, But I'm enjoying the whole process and it's something new that I gotta he wasn't half into. It's a great game, John, thank you. Yeah, that's the other part of this. John Wall's a vet now, he's a veteran in the locker room. He also spoke up after the team lost three straight and then four straight, and he got their attention. He's getting everyone's attention with his play. He keeps playing like this, he may end up being the starter. I

wouldn't be shocked. But it's working with he and Reggie Jackson out at the end of the game. That's the encouraging part. Those two have played well together. They both assisted each other. I believe on three pointers. All right, quick time out, we'll come back. We'll get back to your phone calls eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy. Charles Mockler will be here from clips and dip.

Clippers win three straight after they get the victory one thirteen to one oh six and San Antonio over the Spurs, and this is Clippers talk here on M five seventy schools. I'm nothing, does not mes five shins on my neck. It was no smart on my BRep. Last time send seven quartermail numbers one six in San Antonio over the Spurs. Straight victory for the squad. Welcome back. In the Clippers talk, I'm out of maslin to eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six, nine eight seven

two five seventy is the phone numbers? You know the anthem? You know the song? All right? P Nipsey Hustle. We'll use it on clips and dips with William Updyke and Charles Mockler who's joining us now. Post game after the Clippers get a seven point victory after being up by seventeen, then being down by ten and the second half they come through with a victory, Chuck, who are you giving your game ball too? Because there's a few guys that choose from tonight. I was gonna ask if we who we should

talk about first, Paul George or a Visa Zubos. I think so before I give out my game ball, I want to share the staff that Joey Lynn said on Twitter. He said games with at least ten points, twelve rebounds, and four blocks this season of Visa Zubos four rest of the NBA combined three. Yeah, that's a series win, oh very much. So. That being said, I'm giving it to Paul George for the night's game. Thirty two point on sixty eight percent shooting. He took over when he

had to, He had six boards. He helped kind of dig this like momentum hole that the Clippers ran during the Devon Basil game. I think I gotta give it to Paul George. I think the superstar gets gets the game ball tonight, especially after the athletic quote where he was saying, you know, we got you to Kawai and stuff like that. But this is what Paul George does and has been doing since you said he was going to get better. So I gotta give it to PG. I mean, he had

more than half their points in the third quarter. The Clippers had twenty eight. He had fifteen of those, and you're right he kind of stemmed the tide. Whenever the Spurs were trying to pull away, it was Paul George coming up with big plays. Now, maybe I'm biased, but John walk could touch that game ball as well. After what he did in the fourth quarter. Nine of his fifteen points six assists to zero turnovers, a couple of them to a Visa Zoo boss. The no look lobbed to him was

just ridiculous. But he played his season five twenty seven minutes and played the entire final period. I thought this was at least his best quarter in the fourth as a Clipper, maybe his best game so far. I think I have to agree with you on the whole this was. I mean, he did what we needed right and gave us a shot in the arm. He played, you know, a lot of minutes, kind of maybe a little sooner than some of us expected, given his time off and things like that.

The shot selection is a little tough at times. I did love what he did tonight, but sometimes really in the shot clock he was kind of putting some things up. It felt like he really settled in that fourth though, like you said, and you know, no one's gonna be mad at him getting six assists and no turnovers. So I think John Wall and Zoo you're right, they can both hand the game ball off to Paul George for

this one. Yeah, John Wall definitely took a three pointer that was a little bit ill advised before the team even got down there, because he's so quick down the court, but at least he called himself out immediately afterwards and my bad, my fault. That's what's nice about John Wall is that every postgame interview you've seen from him, you know, we talked about tonight, he talked about how in Houston, you know, maybe his emotions got better

of him and he didn't play as well. He had a game where he talked about how he didn't find Luke Kennard on a couple of you know, passes that he should have hit Luke with and things like that. So he's very cognizant of what he needs to work on, and that's really the most kind of encouraging thing you can hope for as a Clippers fan. I think is someone who's like, oh, they're acknowledging the things that I also think

they maybe he didn't do a good job on. So I mean, it's been a little bit up and down for John Wall, but I think that's expected given again the time off and an entire new fit for him with this team. I always love the accountability there and he has shown some good leadership and I thought it's been interesting so far in the early season. Some of the lineups that have worked involved him and Reggie Jackson on the floor at the

same time, like in the fourth quarter of this one. And I'm hoping that three point that Reggie Jackson hit, which was a patented bailout type of three from Big Government, that can get him going. Because a really nice start to the game with seventh straight at one point in the first quarter, and he finished five of eleven, fourteen points, five assists, just two

turnovers. It was a solid performance from Reggie. I think overall, yeah, Reggie, I mean, he played so much last year that I wouldn't be surprised, as offseason consisted of him pretty much just napping and getting his body right right, Like not a lot of guys play the most are close to the most total minutes they've ever played at their latest season in the league,

you know, so I think it was gonna take some time. It's gonna see growing pain along with Norm two, who was efficient tonight as well. But Reggie, I don't know, Like at this point, if you've been watching the Clippers for I will say even just two seasons, and you don't understand what the Reggie roller coaster is. I don't really know what fans want at this point from Reggie he hits I'm like, kind of like mook tonight, right, Like Morris hit the three when it really counted. It

was a lot for most of the night. But these are guys who they're a thing from being the one and two options to being the third or fourth, fourth or fifth or something like that. So from Reggie in thirty seven minutes, you kind of got to take that in a close game. One of my favorite moments speaking to John Wall and the camaraderie and some of the

leadership there in the veteran presence. Marcus Morris is on the floor and instead of going over and picking him up right away, john Wall just laid down and slid next to him, like I need a break too, man. This fourth quarter, I've been playing the entire time, most minutes I've played all season. But somebody who has been absolutely the stalwart for this team,

a workhorse of Visa Zubots, has just been so good. I mean, he's he's flirting with he should get you know, it's way too early for this, but he should be on the radar for All Star recognition with the way he has played as a big seventeen and fifteen four blocks and every block now is just like it's like out of a movie. You know, it's real. It's sent back. Yeah in two growing up, intimidating plays from Zoo Boss, but the throwdowns the same way. On the other end,

he's just more a force. He's more vicious out there, and I think that's what a lot of fans have been wanting from him. But this is the best start to a season certainly he's ever had. I mean, this is what happens when Zoo gets more time. If you've been a Zoo believer, you've kind of said, like, you know, he doesn't get a lot of time, so he can't really show what he can do on this Clippers team, which does make sense. But I mean, thirty six minutes

tonight, like you said, absolutely dominant down low. I think one thing this really helped Zoo out the season is he played in EuroBasket, and he played pretty well in euro Basket, kind of will put that ankle injury. He got some more run before the season started he came in. I mean, he's a young guy. I know, he's been in the league. You know, he's one of the longest tenured Clippers, but this has to be the best shape he's ever coming to the season with coming off of a

competitive euro Basket tournament. So I mean he's been the clippers second best player, him and Luke Kennard, I think, but I hope it keeps happening. It's been a godsend when you only have one seemingly serviceable center on the team who does have to make up for some deficiencies when they go small after he comes back on the court. Well, the good news is the one true big man they have with a lot of experience is young, and if he's not in foul trouble, he's good to go. He has the energy,

he can play heavier minutes and he doesn't get tired. So he's been great in so many different areas for this team. You mentioned Norman Powell a little bit earlier. He did have ten points in that second quarter. He was big then, just trying to well, trying to hold back the San Antonio Spurs with who had a twenty one point turnaround in the first half. But I still he's not there yet. He's not where you want to see

him yet. He did contribute with seven boards sometimes when other things aren't work and find another way to contribute. But if you can win right now, as the Clippers not playing your best basketball, it's still encouraging. Early on, absolutely, and we saw them hit forty five percent of their threason. I think this is the game they hit the most threes of any game so far this season at fifteen. And you're going against a well coached team in

the Spurs. I know they lost by forty or whatever against the Raptors. That's terrible. That was a warning side if anything, right, very much though, Pop. You know a Pop coach team is going to be well drilled. And also if you just looked, if you watch this game and you saw how the offense is operated the San Antonio Spurs right now. I say this at eight eighteen pm Friday, November fourth, for a time, stamper everybody out there have a bit more going on offensively than the Clippers do.

For a couple of reasons. Right We're down our best player, we're down our third best defender, and things like that. We lost Luke Kennard for the majority of this game the chest discomfort, so the off ball movement was off. We playing with a simple offense right now, and when guys hit shots, even a simple offense and still gets you to win. Yeah, and the Clippers offense, it's starting to come out of that funk they were in. We're coming into this game. They were twenty ninth in that

category. But the defense, especially in the first and fourth quarters in this one and all season long overall, they've been top five. So far. They improved to five and four. They win one thirteen to one oh six over the Spurs. So now they come back home and take on a Utah squad chuck without giving up the score, and what's going on and then other game tonight. Just how do you feel about the vibes right now? With the Clippers on a three game winning streak and heading into that game Sunday night.

I mean, the Clippers are going to go as far right now as PG takes them right and PG has been on a tear, Zoo has been on a tear. Hopefully Luke's gonna be back. He didn't travel back with the team. I don't know what to make the Jazz right now. I don't think I'm the only person in that situation, but I'm feeling pretty good about this one. I think it's hard to not ride the way of this winning streak, right yeah, Clippers starting to maybe turn that corner, and

they are being led by Paul George. He is Chuck Mockler from Clips and Dip with myself and William Updyke. Chuck, thanks for doing this to night on Clippers Talk. We'll post it on both sides. A little double dip. There we go. Everyone loves the double dip. Coming up next, we're dipping back into your phone calls eight six six nine, eight seven two, five seventy trying to find postgame audio. Also from coach Lou This is Clippers Talk. You're only five seventy, Ally sports, I say the same

thing every single time. I'll send you in the universe. The unis the universe, the unifise that I ever had, I ever had. Bock by George. This is La Clippers basketball. He is a one man king Crawl and he beets a man on the home of your La Clippers. Every time I'm up UNI, everybody go up and they stay there. Clippers win one thirteen to one oh six over the Spurs in San Antonio. It turned a four game losing streak into a three game winning streak. They'll try to keep

it going. Against the Utah Jazz Sunday night back in downtown Los Angeles. This is Clippers Talk. I'm out of Auslin eight six six ninety seven two five seventy before we hear from coach Lou Damian in La has been holding on Damian? What's up here? On Clippers Talk? Triple A. How are you doing? Brother? Are you two stepping? Are you doing your Texas two step? Bro? No? I'm doing the douggie John Walls Yeah, man, Well another great win. How about this guy's Bubox cause you finally

arrived at what we've been waiting for. It, we're finally about to get it. Is he gonna keep this up the whole season? I mean he's been good and if you give him minutes, like Charles said, he delivers. He just has to get those opportunities. I believe that what we're seeing right now, from Bubox to four five blocks a night, I think that's something that we've been waiting for for him to really dominate, you know, and kind of let the monster out a little bit. And it's great to

see that from him. Paul George, I love it how people on our team when they say that they're gonna do better. They actually do better, and they don't just post and tweet about it, you know what I'm saying, and then nothing happens. So big up to Paul George for being a man of his words. He's a guy we can count on when we're down in the trenches. Another great win. I just want to let you know that you're doing a great job, bro. Thanks for taking my car.

They man appreciate you. Hopefully talk to you Sunday night. Now. Zuba certainly has raised his game to another level. Sometimes you know you're just ready to meet that opportunity and take that next step. But because they don't have a true seasoned back up, big man center behind him, if he's not in foul trouble, he's gonna get more run. And Coach Lu said the other day that without Kauai, without Roco, he doesn't like going small as

much. It's one thing goes small when you've got a bunch of guys who are around six seven, six eight out there, it's another win. You don't have him, you gotta play more of Reggie Jackson, John wall Uh and Norman Powell and guys like that. Speaking of Coach Lu though here he was postgame after the Clippers one thirteen to one oh six victory and San Antonio over the spurs small as in pick and roll and letting PG attack and get

downhill. And we did a good job with drive kicks wing. You know, we got into the paint, made the right pass, made the right play. Some shots we did turn down that we should have shot. But for you know, for the most part, I thought we did a good job of just getting into the paint, reading the defense and taking the defense gives you. And I'm having twenty five assists and you know, finally making

you know, fifteen threes, shooting forty five percent. You know, So I thought all the guys played well, you know, and despite them coming out and going up ten, I thought we did a good job of keeping our poison, staying with the game plan. And like I said, PG was great. You know, he was special. You know, I thought Zoo was big, and John came up the bench, he was really big, and you know, Reggie shot the ball down well down the stretch.

Zoo has been consistently playing really, really well. What is it that you've seen from him in terms of his growth and confidence? Yeah, I think it's you know, it's a combination of both. But I think, you know, just being able to play meaningful minutes last year and playing the fourth quarter in a year before that, playing the fourth quarter and getting that getting that experience of playing the fourth quarters and playing down the stretch, I think

was huge for him. And like I said before, last year and being able to post him up a little bit more to take advantage of mismatches. I thought he did a really good job, so that helped with his confidence as well. But he's been playing at any elite level right now. Coach Loup post game, it's a ballet sports for the audio, and he might have just had the best out of the night. The Clippers assisted on twenty six of their forty two makes. That means they assisted on sixty percent of

their main made shots. A lot of that is because they were making threes fifteen of thirty three. I told you, when they start knocking them down, the floodgates will open, it will progress to the mean. It's going to happen. They have far too many good shooters on this team to be shooting thirty one percent from the outside on the season. That changed tonight. All right, one more phone call before we get out of here. Mystery caller, you're up here on Clipper Stock. Hey, what's going on?

My name is Chris. Chris. Where you calling from? California? Chris, appreciate you calling in tonight. What did you think of the ball game? Man? It just felt good to sit back and enjoy the game. That four game losing streak was rough to watch, and it just really felt good, you know. And you guys are hitting everything right on the marker as far as all of the positives going on with the Clippers, and I just want to touch up on a couple of things and switch it up because

there's not really much you can say. You guys, I said, have been saying everything you can say. I'm really excited Zu Bloca is going to go to the All Star Game this year, you mark my words. He's consistent. This guy is a dog. I think he's played with every game last season I remember, so I'm really excited about him. And John Wall one of my favorite all time players. And man, let's go. Chris. Appreciate the phone call. Glad you got in here late on Clippers Talk.

Yeah, it's it's time to start talking about him more because he has been one of the most underrated players I think for a couple of seasons with his rim protection, but he's been the best out of all the elite centers. He's been by far the best with his ram protection so far this season. The numbers say so. With the Vizza Zoo bots. One more Josh and Carl's bad. You're on Clippers talk, Hi, Josh, Hey Adam. It's been a long time I have been called U this season at all.

But you're doing a great job as you will. Thanks. I appreciate Josh calling calling on Sunday night too. Start a streak of your Clippers one three in a row. You gotta start calling in every night. I know, I know. I started working during the day so I'm not on my car at night. I got you, I got you. What do you

think of the game tonight? I loved it. Man. You know, we've been a little shaky trying to like find that rhythm this season, but you know, seeing everybody from top to bottom produce it kind of lets us feel what you know, that's the fans have been kind of hoping for and expecting. It's just that debt and to get our starters doing what they do, but to get that help throughout the bench. That's what we've been missing

in thug losses. It's just that inconsistency. And to see him kind of finally put it together these last three games, I know, not against the greatest teams, but to see it actually happens, it's really positive and it feels really good to watch. No. I appreciate the phone call, Josh.

The Clippers got to be feeling much better about themselves. They were staring at five straight losses, and do not underestimate the fact that Paul George not only sent them in this direction for three straight wins, calling himself out the day before, but he hits really two game winners the three four to tie it, and then the follow over Eric Gordon in that last game in downtown Los Angeles to beat the Rockets, backing up his talk saying he's got to

be the guy, and then hitting a game winner the next day, and now they've won three straight. There's a connection there that's not just happenstance. That is Paul George making it happen and again thirty five points, willing them to victory again with the help of John Wall. It beats a zoobots Reggie Jackson a big three late, Marcus Morris with a couple of big threes late, and Norm Powell those ten points in the second quarter. Was a lot

of different guys. I thought a mere coffee gave them some decent minutes. Was six points in twelve minutes. A lot of contributors. But yeah, the competition hasn't been great yet, but the Clippers haven't played great either, So stack up as many wins as you can while you're not playing your best basketball and you're still working through a lot of these injuries. That's what they're doing. Hopefully they can get another victory against the Utah Jazz, bring it

up to four game winnings streak after losing four in a row. That would be big for them. Sunday Night at Jazz team, they'll talk about a team that just came together out of nowhere. Everybody thought they were tanking this season, trading away Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, and they look great. And they got a bunch of guys who I think are playing that well together

because they felt like they were deserted by their former teams. Cast offs, you know, Island of misfit toys, and they got a chip on their shoulder. They're playing well, so it's gonna be a tough one. Sunday Night tiptime is at seven. We'll have Clippers count down for you starting at six before we get out of here. I do want to thank the Clippers organization, Noah Eagle, Brian Seaman, Ralph Waller, Ted Emrick for filling in big brother Jake Warner and down town Los Angeles. Jake, We'll see
