Time for a postgame. Look, it's your La Clippers. This is Clippers Locker Road, brought to you by Cedars sin On, the official health partner of the LA Clippers, and by Patschonga, official travel casino of the LA Clippers. Breaking down today's action with the pre and post game voice. If you're La Clippers, they're locking in every game every night. Adam Osland, Well, the Clippers messed around and found out they lost one thirteen to one

oh four at home to a Denver team missing their three best players. As former Clipper Reggie Jackson has thirty five scorns's former team, Clippers lose one thirteen to one oh four. They dropped a seven to nine on this young season. Welcome into your postgame show. I'm Adam Oslin. Coming up. We'll have your final box score. We'll have Clippers dock tonight eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight sixty six nine eight seven two five. He

is the phone number. But right now we are rejoined by your radio voice of the Clippers in Carlo Jimenez. Carlo didn't like the effort in the first quarter, didn't like in the second quarter. Thought things would turn the Clippers way when they led by eleven multiple times and in the second half, but they didn't finish the job. And quite frankly, I don't think they took

this team serious enough in the Denver Nuggets tonight. You just look at the difference in the defensive intensity Adam from the Mavericks on the second half of a back to back on Saturday night, and this game, the Clippers took a while to wake up, and especially on the offensive end, it looked like they were all waiting outside of Kawhi Leonard for somebody else to get it going, and nobody else got it going, and so they all looked around wondering

what they were gonna do, waiting for somebody else to rescue them. It's a learning moment, for sure, But you just can't lose games like this when you've already had a six game losing streak. You've talked about it on Clips and Dips and here on here here on Clippers talk. The Clippers need

to earn some of those wins back. They need it earned some of those wins back that they lost during that six game losing streak, during that adjustment period, and this was one of those games and they just didn't take advantage. Yeah, and to me, this is a worst loss than what we saw against Memphis, a worst loss than when we saw in Brooklyn against the Nets, because they were in that transitional phase and it looked like they had

come out of that. They just had their best victory of the season, and they follow it up with the day off and now having their worst loss of the year to date against a team that has won eighth straight against them, now eleven of the last twelve. They were right for the picking no Yokich. We found that out about two hours before the ball game. And to your point, the Clippers looked like a team that was just trying to

play isolation ball. Your turn, my turn. But it was a lot of just Kawhi Leonard out there and nobody else really finding a rhythm outside of Vitza Zubats getting some easy ones around the rim. Yeah, I mean, they were unable to find a lot of offensive rhythm tonight. Thirty five makes just eighteen assist to show for it, and the Clippers didn't have the same energy, didn't have the same pepin step that they had last time out against

Dallas. I think will be interesting to see is Is this a game if you're head coach Seron Lou where you feel you need to make adjustments to lineups two different ways you played to when guys enter the ballgame, or is this purely your Your team wasn't ready. They looked unmotivated. I'm not putting that on coach Lou. We saw him on the sidelines. He was fiery, he was into this ballgame. But the Clippers just looked laxadaisical. They look

like they could just we'll pull it out in the end. We can out talent this Denver Nuggets team that was outworking them for forty eight minutes one hundred percent, and it started with Reggie Jackson, And like you said, it just felt like they were Denver was gonna go cold. That's what the Clippers kept waiting for, and they never did. Forty five percent from three,

forty seven percent from the field. Jackson had thirteen makes to go along with thirteen assists in five rebounds, and the Clippers were unable to slow him throughout the ball game. I'll be interested to see defensively if this changes things going into Sacremento, because now you go against one of the fastest, one of the better offenses in the NBA. The Clippers seemed to double team Reggie.

That kind of worked late, but the penetration he got against James Harden, I mean it was one on one and then Jackson's going to the rim, and we talked about a premium. We've been praising Harden for that defensive effort, but it felt like it just wasn't there here tonight. Whether that was Jackson was too quick or Harden didn't have help, it wasn't the same.

Yeah, Reggie Jackson was phenomenal. I just don't understand how this Clippers team couldn't see that coming on a night where you knew Reggie Jackson had the green light with all these guys out for the Denver Nuggets, and you didn't know he'd be hunting matchup, hunting out for blood tonight against his former team. As he got a tribute earlier in the first quarter and a nice ovation from

the Clipper faithful that do love Reggie Jackson. Not tonight though, after this one, as he finishes with thirty five and finishes off the Clippers late where one point he had thirteen straight made field goals. Was it Carlo thirteen in a row? Like you mentioned, Adam, he had accounted for eleven down the stretch late in this game. The fourth quarter is the part where they really lost the game. I mean, the offense was just stagnan and they

had nothing going sixteen points on four for seventeen in the fourth quarter. And the issue to me is you get to a fourth quarter and it can turn into a playoff environment where everyone is giving maximum effort. So it's a little too late to all of a sudden try to ramp up against the team that's

hot out there, that has a rhythm. And Denver had thirty six points in the fourth quarter and they started playing better, more physical defense against the Clippers that were running the same stuff, a lot of ISO with Kawhi Leonard just giving the ball up to him. Paul George obviously didn't have it going tonight, came back into the ball game late, couldn't get anything to go from the outside. But there was just no flow, no rhyme or reason

to that Clippers offense. It continued and it looked even worse down the stretch in the fourth. Yeah, they got outscored by twenty late in the balling game, and when the team shoots twelve for seventeen and you shoot four for seventeen, things aren't gonna go your way. And that's what happened tonight for the Clippers. Does this refocus them for Sacramento and Golden State twice? Feels like it has to, Adam. Those three games feel like must wins.

Yeah, you got to at least win two of three now there and look a back to back up in Sacramento and then against the Golden State Warriors. Not easy because what the Kings can take out of your legs with the pace that they like to play at. Tip time for that one up at Golden One Center is at seven pm on Wednesday against the Kings. Will have your pregame show starting here at six Carlo Jimenez, great call is always despite the loss by the Clippers, we'll talk to you on Wednesday. Talk to you

Wednesday, Adamless turn the page. Clippers fall one thirteen to one oh four here at home to the Denver Nuggets, and you're listening to the Los Angeles Clippers Audio Network. Every Clipper game all season low they didn't stop playing hard. You're listening to the LA Clippers Audio Network streaming on the iHeartRadio Lap Clippers lose one thirteen to one oh four here at Crypto dot Com Arena to the Denver Nuggets without their big three, no Jokic, no Aaron Gordon, no

Jamal Murray. But you know they had Reggie Jackson who went fifteen of nineteen and had thirty five against his former team in forty minutes, and the Clippers didn't have answers, and offensively they were futured throughout most of the evening. Clippers dropped to seven and nine on the season after shooting just forty one percent from the field, just six of twenty from the outside. Was waiting for them to catch that heater. Over the last five games, they had shot

just thirty two percent from three. Seemed like they were due a team with a lot of good three point shooters. Well, they shot even worse tonight, only put up twenty threes, only made six of them. They got to the line plenty thirty four free throws attempted, hit twenty eight of them as eighty three. You'll take that. They only had thirteen turnovers. This didn't execute offensively and got out scored by twenty. In the fourth quarter.

Nuggets put up thirty six the Clippers. Just sixteen and thirteen of those thirty six points were scored by Reggie Jackson. And oh yeah, it wasn't just him as a former Clipper, DeAndre Jordan this one twenty one points, thirteen boards, five assists, knocked down a couple of free throws. Eventually the hack of DJ worked. They got him off the floor. I guess, I don't know if you want to say it works when you come up short.

But DeAndre Jordan played great, Reggie Jackson played great, they burned their former squad tonight, and a Clippers team that just looked like they were going through the motions at times. That's what it looked like to me here at Crypto dot com arena, because this is just an inexcusable loss after having their

best vict of the season taking down the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night. More Clippers postgame, plus we will have Clippers talk on AM five to seventy LA Sports eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy. Oh look sewn and Inglewood's calling in tonight must be a Clippers loss, because I haven't heard from him in a while. More

Caveat they didn't have their three best players. No Nikola jok has found that out two hours before the game. No Aaron Gordon knew that earlier. Obviously, No Jamal

Murray doesn't matter. Reggie Jackson strikes in a Denver uniform and has thirty five and the Clippers' effort just not good enough. They look like a team that knew, or they thought they knew, they could just went on talent alone. Tonight, they fall one thirteen to one zero four. Here on Crypto dot Com or at crypto dot com arena. I'm Adam Osland Clippers. Next

ballgame will be in Sacramento. It's a Norcale back to back. They take on the Kings, then Golden State, then back here Saturday for a home contest against the Warriors. Three huge games. Adam Osley Slippers played down to their competition and paid

for it. They lose one thirteen to one zero four to a shorthanded, undermanned down their three best players Denver Nugget team as Reggie Jackson has thirty five on video tribute night back in this arena and beats his former team somehow, some way. The Clippers just seven to nine right now, and after having their best victory of the season Saturday night against the Dallas Mavericks, they have their worst loss so far this season. Welcome into Clippers talk. I'm ata

Moslin. Eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number, or you can get to me at follow out of May. But I don't gotta say that right now. Plenty of people are finding me. I'm trying to drag me on X. This was easily the most disappointing loss of the season. In the pregame, we talked about it. You can't played down to your competition. You

can't take any team lightly. He's a four hundred four hundred and fifty of the best players in the world, no matter who's available, and especially when guys have green lights that don't normally get that many minutes, like Reggie Jackson, like DeAndre Jordan, just his fourth game he has played this season, also did damage against his former team on twenty one and thirteen. You played down to these teams. You can get beat by anyone, and you could

see it from the first quarter. You could see it early game was tied at thirteen. Clippers weren't taking them seriously enough when they were up eleven. They didn't step on their throat. They didn't pull away. They had an eleven point lead in the first half and in the second half, and somehow they gave this team life. They gave the Denver Nuggets confidence because the Clippers

were playing a lot of isolation basketball. They weren't running anything offensively. We'll hear from coach lou coming up. I'm guessing he's going to say we had a nasty flow offensively. They just tried to get it to Kawhi Leonard over and over again, who did have thirty one on ten of twenty six shooting, struggled some late did get a big layup to pull out to within four in the last couple of minutes, but there was no rhythms to the offense.

There was a wrench in the gears. The Clippers just looked like they thought, Oh, we have more talent, we should win the ball game. That's how this works, right on paper, Clippers who win by twenty. No, they got out worked and there's still talent on the Denver Nuggets in a championship pedigree that they earned and the Clippers haven't, and they paid for it tonight. I don't know if they were over confident, but it

looked like that out on the court at times. How do I know that end of the third quarter, that turnover by James Harden rolling the ball up the court and it turns out to be a steal as they were trying to get the two for one. I understand what he was doing, but rolling the ball up the court against Denver and not thinking they were going to jump on it, and they did and they took it away. He had another bad turnover a couple of them in the fourth quarter, not putting it on

one guy. But it just looked like mindset wise, the Clippers weren't there. They weren't focused, they weren't locked in whatsoever. They were asking Denver to beat them tonight, and they did. They obliged, And I don't know how they couldn't have seen this coming. They played with Reggie Jackson. They don't get to the Western Conference Finals without how good Reggie Jackson can be

in big games. And I'm sure he felt like it was a big game tonight, getting to go out there and put up nineteen shots, of which he hit fifteen, and play forty minutes and cook the Clippers, and the pick and roll with DeAndre Jordan throwing him multiple alley oops and dj just living at the rim, dunking all over the Clippers, Reggie Jackson hunting switches, trying to get on with James Harden on him so he could use the quickness

advantage. I don't know how they didn't see it coming. We talked about it in the pregame, and I'm sure they talked about it because we heard from coach lou pre game. Got to worry about them, not the opponent. Don't focus in on the fact that they're missing their three best guys. Go out there and execute and play your game. Run your offense, play

harder. I didn't see that tonight, and it's really discouraging to see a loss like this from the Clippers after the bounce back they had, losing that game the way they did to the Pelicans Friday night, down twenty one in the first quarter, came out lacks a day's a goal. They battled back, they had a brief six point lead, but they came up short. But the very next night put together a beautiful defensive effort holding the Dallas Mavericks

who were averaging one twenty to eighty eight points. So how does this happen tonight? How do you have a letdown like this? How do you not keep that momentum going where you had won four or five with this new starting unit, where they had been the best defense in the league since Terrence Man was injected into the starting unit. How do you have this misstep? How

do you place the rake down and then step on it. It's just an inexcusable effort from the Clippers tonight, if I'm being frank, one of the worst losses I've seen in the two Pine three era, and there're just was no flow offensively. At some point you gotta figure it out offensively, against a defense that's giving you maximum effort, and that's what happened. I think

in the fourth quarter when they got outscored thirty six to sixteen. You can get by first half, first three quarters, maybe not fully running your offense when you have this much talent, But in the fourth quarter when Denver could smell blood and they're cooking and Reggie Jackson hits thirteen straight shots and they're feeling good about themselves. They're also playing very good defense. Kawhi Leonard thought he got fouled a few different times going to the basket. Wasn't getting those calls.

They didn't earn those calls tonight. They earned this loss by the way they played. Period. You mess around and find out that's what it looked like to me. Eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventy. I thought Russ played pretty well overall. I thought he made some hard hustle plays. This was probably James Harden's

worst game as a Clipper so far. Paul George's worst game of the season two of thirteen, and was missing badly in the fourth quarter when he came back into the ball game. He didn't have much of a rhythm. He was foul trouble. You had five personals. The Clippers were getting into it with the referees like it was their fault. Didn't like seeing that they looked

distracted, unfocused, unserious. However, you want to put it on a night where really this game could have been served up on a silver platter. You don't have Denver. You're not going up against this team that beats you seven straight times now eight and you get them tonight in this situation where they're missing their three best players and you don't take advantage of that. That's shocking

to me. Honestly, I did not expect the Clippers to come out this lacks of days a goal continually and just never find themselves, never flip a switch. Clippers lose one thirteen to one oh four here at home to the Denver Nuggets without Nikal a Jokis, without Aaron Gordon, without Jamal Murray,

and now they're going up north taking on two teams on the PACTV. We're back to back, starting inst Sacramento Tuesday Night eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy Sean and Inglewood. Sean, what's up you're on Clipper stop without a mauzle? Hey, Adam, and thanks for that nice civility you gave and what you said about me. But I want to be friends at them anyway, Sean, we're friends. I just don't you know, you call in when they lose,

but you don't call in when they win. I actually wasn't that impressed with the Denver win being that Dallas, I mean the Dallas win because that was as Big wasn't available, and you know, Zubos was having probably one of the best games of life. But Tyleru got rid of DeAndre Jordan just for the sake that he could play small ball again and take have an excuse to

take Zublac out, which I think he should have left them in. So again the second time they played Himver, they take Zubac out and they lose, and everybody on TNT with Shaq and Perkins and Kenny Smith and Barkley, everybody saying why did he take Zubac out? The reason why this man is totally in love with small ball to a fault. He'd rather lose playing small ball than win it. Almost seems that way, Sean. I don't think

they lost this game by taking a beat of Zubats out. I think they lost this game by not playing hard enough, by not executing offensively, by playing a lot of hero ball. They shouldn't have been in this game against this Denver Nuggets team late. It shouldn't have been a game if they came out with a mindset that too. However, how many layups did they get late in the game and dunks late in the game and nobody had the interior cover so you have sometimes you have to win ugly. And the way this

team is set up is the threes aren't dropping. If the fancy dribbling doesn't you know, happen and called you know something to happen, then hey, nobody's really doing the dirty work on the boards. But Zoos Sean, let me ask you this. Zoobos is in the game a lot of the fourth quarter and gets taken out with three minutes left and they're down by six at that point. How many of those layups did he stop before that? How

much did it help they got down when he was on the court. I understand what you're saying, but my take on this is that so far, the Harden trade has been terrible because we tried, Sean, go back to my point. Zubots was on the floor when Denver made their run. He just didn't play the last three minutes after they got down by six, when he was on the court, and you're saying, oh, it's because they went small. They were big and they got burned. No, they weren't.

Till the three minute mark. They had a Beatsa Zubots on the floor and he left and they were down six. So don't act like, oh, it's just because they went small. Zubots was out there. They were still getting layups. You know why, because you can bring big men out to the perimeter these days and get switches all the time. It's not that simple switch with that's a second big, a second big. Yeah, that's gonna do great things for your offense. Sean, let me point something out

to you. When the Clippers were up in the first half and look to be in control, there was a lineup out there with the Vitza, Zoobots and PJ. Tucker, which they have been going to. That lineup has a minus thirty five net rating, which is only going to be worse after today's ball game, because they quickly gave up a six to zero run in about a minute. You know why, because on offense, it's impossible to

get anything off. When you have two big men like that clogging the paint for you, and neither of them are shooters, it makes things really difficult. So I appreciate the phone call, Sean, I do, but I gave you plenty of time to explain that, and I didn't get anything that was satisfactory there. Because Vita Zubots did play a ton in the fourth quarter, that's not why they lost the game. You're just looking for confirmation,

bias evidence that may you right, You're always searching for that. But the truth is they played Vitze Zubas down the stretch, not the last three minutes. Once you're down six, they gotta get shooting out there. They're trying to score. They have to be perfect. I think this was more of an effort thing. It was not about schematics. It was about the Clippers just coming out and going through the motions and thinking talent was going to overcome

this depleted Denver Nuggets team. We'll take a quick time out, we'll come back, We'll get to more of your phone calls. Eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number. Clippers, somehow, some way lost one thirteen to one zero four to the Denver Nuggets. But it's not impossible just because they're missing

their top three players. They still have talent. What's even crazier, though, is Michael Porter Junior win three of thirteen and they still lost this game. Reggie Jackson and DeAndre Jordan. Are you familiar enough with them? They came back and just put it on the Clippers tonight, who didn't look ready. I'm out of Maslin. This is a Clippers talk on m FI seventy LA Sports. Every Clipper game all season long, they didn't stop playing hard.

You're listening to the LA Clippers Audio Network streaming on the iHeartRadio app. Clippers lose one thirteen to one oh four here at home at Crypto dot Com Arena to the Denver Nuggets, who were missing their top three players, but they still had Reggie action Jackson. Have we not seen him carry the Clippers at times when guys are out, when guys are down? Hell on the pregame show. I wanted to pay tribute and honor Reggie Jackson as well.

Got his tribute video tonight, first time back in front of the fans here at dot Com Arena, played the game winner he had against Orlando Magic. He lives for these moments and in fact, Mike Malone said postgame, coach of the Denver Nuggets, Reggie Jackson loves playing against the Clippers. Now he's challenging Reggie to play every game going forward as if he is playing the Clippers.

Just a really disappointing, discouraging loss from the Clippers, who I thought were turning a corner after what we saw Saturday night against the Dallas Mavericks, from their best win to their worst loss. Let's go back out to the phones. Eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy eight six six ninety seven two five seventy Javier and Lahabra heights. You're on Clippers stock without a maslin. Javier, what's up? Hey, what's up? And I thank

you for taking him a call. Man. This is honestly the worst lost and since they acquire COI I employed George on this ridiculous. I mean, you're talking the pregame this shit starts strong so they can wrestling the fourth quarter and they end up losing. Me, I mean, in the other color, you're talking about Zubak playing the fourth quarter, not playing playing, It doesn't matter. It got to start strong. Like you said, Adam,

there's nothing to do with the fourth quarter. If they would have started strong, then it would have been a different ball game. But you know what, at the end of the day, who are you gonna blame. You're not gonna You're not gonna fire all ten players or twelve players. Is Tyler lou He does not have him ready to play. Adam does not have him ready. And enough is enough. I mean, how can you lose without

Joka Murray and Aaron Gordon at home, Adam at home? And now only that they're all healthy, Adam Kawhi's healthy, Paul George is healthy, Zubak, everybody and didn't lose at home. That's what's unfathomable to me. Kawhi and Paul George have played all sixteen games so far, and there's seven and nine. I understood the transition period with James Harden. I still thought the Memphis loss, the Brooklyn loss, those were terrible losses. But then you

had one, four or five. You just beat the Dallas Mavericks and they don't come out ready to play tonight against this Denver team. It's shocking. It's just it's shocking, Adam. And at this point Steve Bomber, I mean, you gotta do I mean, you gotta let Tyler go. I mean, they're not inspired. They're not inspired basketball, Adam, They're not Kawhi. I don't Well, here's the thing they just did Saturday night. That's what's perplexing, that's what's baffling. They just did after a really tough

loss. They bounced back in the perfect manner where looked looked laser focused against the Dallas Mavericks. But Adam, who beat San Antonio twice to beat Portland, the beat who beat the Rockets and Magic, who are playing really good Orlando's, Orlando's one of the best teams in the East right now. But you got them after when the game was about to end. You should have seen Tyler's face. He is like, well, I don't know. He's like, look, he just doesn't know what his face just says to everything.

He just like, I don't know, I'm just this is unbelievable. I just can't believe it. But I'll let you go. You got a bunch of calls but this, I'm sorry, man, but enough enough time. He needs to go. Thank you, Adam, all right out of here. Don't let you express your view tonight here on Clippers Talk. I don't think that's the answer. I don't, But then again, I don't know what is right now or what's going to light a fire under this team

that just hasn't performed to their capabilities so far this season. Gave him some leeway because of the Harden trade. That's a big move. You're gonna take your lumps, take a step back, but still waiting for them to take two steps forward. This was game eleven with James Harden. They're four and seven with him so far. Let's go to Jose and Downey. Jose, you're on Clipper stop with out of mazlose. Hey, Adam, this you've been saying it. Everybody's just saying, like worst loss of the season.

I don't completely agree with Javier and it's just Tylo's fault, but there's this seems like there's some type of disconnection. If you can't get these guys Uh, how do they say like inspired to play? But then the other thing too. I mean you got to start pointing fingers at Paul George and Kawhi. I mean you, this team is being built around you. At some point you got to be the one that goes out there and has that extra energy. And it sucks because Kawhi had a great game. Was he the

best player on the floor. No, Reggie Jackson was Zoo had a great game. I was just saying, it's hard to even notice that he had a good game because he was being abused by that pick and roll. And I don't I think you were saying, how do you not see that? What's the most consistent thing that they can probably get and it's Reggie Jackson being a point guard and playing the pick and roll, and how they're not ready for it, how they went ready for it, how they weren't ready to

play defense. It was hard to watch. I mean I even turned off the game before and because I was like, oh, this is a loss for sure. Yeah, I understand the frustration. I don't not like tonight, Jose, Like Kawhi said something interesting about a week ago, I think when they were still going through the losing streaker after they had beat the Houston Rockets. I think after they had lost six in a row. They beat Houston, and Kawhi said, at some point it comes down to the players.

The message has been there from the coaches. They know what to do. Either the light goes on or doesn't, and you have a failure of a season. So far, they haven't played the right way consistently enough, and that's been a problem. They go in and out of playing very good basketball. They were very consistent Saturday night for forty eight minutes against Dallas. Tonight, there's a different thing. Demetrius in Manhattan Beach. Demetrius, you're

on Clipper Shop. How you doing, Adam? I listen to all your callers tonight, and let me just say this, to go back to what you're saying. It was missing three players tonight and Aaron, Gordon, Joker and Murray I disagree with you. They was missing four. Actually, with quarter Junior going two for thirteen. I brought up, how do you lose a game where you went three or thirteen? There are three? This is a total, total embarrassment. It's a total embarrassment for the organization. It's

a total embarrassment to have your owner out there. And I agree with your caller, not necessarily to get real ty Loo, but the fact of the matter that this team has beaten you soundly since what twenty twenty? They won't eleven in a row. I mean just the motivation that I'm beating you eleven times. I don't care who's on the floor. Rather it could have been

Joker, Murray or Gordon. The fact of the matter is that they've beaten you eight to eleven straight times, which is enough motivation to come out and beat the socks off of them. I don't care who's on the floor. So yes, I agree with the caller. They did play the Spurst, and they played the Furst twice. They played Houston. I agree with you, Adam, Orlando is a very good team in the East. I agree

with you one percent. But I'm gonna just say this. You got the new Clippers stadium coming up up, and for the Clippers to be at seventy nine in a very difficult, difficult West, there's there's really not too many

bottom feeters, okay that can beat you at any given nights. It's going to be a very difficult pass for them, and I say this is the worstest loss in the in the in the Clippers history and the reason why I'm saying this, and let me say this, the reason why, the reason why I'm saying this, Adam, you lose to a team that has their four best players not there in a depleted bitch that we've been speaking about about the Denver that was their only issue at winning the championship. Is that bitch.

So you get a fully loaded Clipper team to night and I'm not sold on that that win with Dallas, Adam, I'm sorry. Yeah, they came out and place. They did show some glimpse on what they can do. Yes, adding time I mean man into the lineup at some agree he should have been in the lineup, but I understand he was injured. But that, to me, Adam, is a little bit fool goal With Dallas, yes, they showed something on the back and back, but they just

really haven't showed enough. And with the owner putting out the type of money that he's putting out, Adam, I feel so bad for him. I would like to see Todd lou I agree with your caller. I don't want to see him leave, but I'm not really sold on him at this point. It seemed like the players are He's got too many different personalities on the team and it just seemed like the players are not getting up. And one last thing, James Hardin James Harten, you know they're picking on him right

now. He didn't come into preseason. I mean'sout having a good time and they're picking on him. In Regie, Reggie was tonight, but he did good against Luca on Saturday. He's had some really good games. He did good, the effort against Zion was strong. I think Reggie was just a really bad mismatch and James Harden didn't have a great game. Obviously. What's wild is James Harden, and I appreciate the phone call Demetrius and the rant.

James Harden was a plus six in a game they lost by nine in thirty six minutes, which means in the twelve minutes he was off the floor, the Clippers were outscored by fifteen points. I'm not saying that means he had a great game, but it's wild that he was still a plus six out there in a game they lost by nine in his thirty six minutes. I just think they were unfocused in a season where it's about taking the regular

season more seriously and respecting the regular season. A loss like tonight flies in the face of that, and that is the embarrassing part. And I thought coming into this game earlier today, Oh they got Jokic coming in. Yeah, he played thirty four minutes against San Antonio. I felt great about this game coming in. I thought the Clippers were ready to slay the dragon. There'd be more wrong and dragon's eye turned blue. Came a thrown style.

While we have a moment, let's pause ten seconds for station identification. Here on the Los Angeles Slippers Audio Network and M five to seventy LA Sports, this is LA Clippers Basketball, AM five to seventy KLAC Los Angeles, ninety eight seven KYSR HD two Los Angeles and iHeartRadio station more Clippers Dot coming up.

We'll get back to your phone calls. Eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number after the Clippers find a way to lose a ball game against the Denver Nuggets team that yes, basically was missing their top four players because Michael Porter Junior went three of thirteen, two of seven from the outside, but he did knock down a big three points or late, and they said it was

a two, and then corrected themselves again and said it was a three. Clippers lose to Denver Nuggets and they are going to Sacramento on Wednesday. They play like this there, they'll lose by forty. The Kings will run you off the floor. This team has to get connected and has to regather themselves collectively as a group. They just got to refocus, get back to the drawing board. We'll hear from coach flu too. I'm Adam Osland and you're

listening to five seventy LA Sports every Clipper game all season. Law they didn't stop playing hard. You're listening to the LA Clippers Audio Network streaming on the iHeartRadio lap confounding loss by the Clippers tonight Denver was right for the picking and they fell off the ladder. They lose one thirteen to one oh four here at home to a Denver nugg team missing their top three players. Michael Porter

juniors three of thirteen and two former Clippers beat them up. Arazy Jackson with thirty five, DeAndre Jordan with twenty one points, eight six six nine seven seventy eight six six nine seven two five seventy. We're gonna hear from coach lou coming up, but let's go to David and mission Viejo. David, you're on Clipper staff without a maaza and what's up? Hey? How's it going? Man? Driving home from that embarrassing game? And can you hear

me? I can hear you, David. I'm sorry. The frustrating thing for me is just watching this happen over and over season after season, where I look at this roster and on paper, they should absolutely be executing and this should work. But I think it's a deeper problem. I think it's

a spiritual problem with this team. We don't have We constantly trade away the cultural lynchpins of these teams, you know, getting rid of Patoom, trading away Beverly, trading away these guys that throws the culture with this team, and we just go after the shiny object every season and we just totally disregard the fact that continuity is something that should be valued, and instead we just constantly put players and there's just no vibe with this team. There's no identity.

Nobody knows who to rely on in what moments and lou is out there just try and throwing things at the wall. And I don't blame him, like I do think he has had a very difficult job. The amount of egos this guy has to juggle is insane, and I just, you know, I just wish the front office would every once in a while double down on the players that they've trusted in seasons prior instead of just looking at him

as trade ships. And it's just disheartening, you know. Yeah, I get that, I do think, and I appreciate the phone call David. Look, for the most part, we know why this team has come up

short. It's been injuries. There haven't been that many nights where it's like what is going on in the regular season last season was perplexing at times, but you could look at some of the lineups they were throwing out there and the Marcus Moore situation, not playing, Roco, Terrence Man not playing nearly as much as you should have, the three four guard lineup stuff, and go, okay, I can see why that's not working. Kawhi Leonard after

the second game back from the ACL misses a month. They're kind of always in this state. Typically of flux or having resets where Okay, we found something, somebody gets hurt. Now we've got to start over and figure it out again. A lot of setbacks, a lot of resets. This year has been different. This was the sixteenth straight game, which tells you they've played every game so far this season. Kawhi and Paul George. That is a record for them, and they haven't figured it out. Now, those

two, for the most part, have played great. Kawhi at thirty one tonight, Paul George had an off night. Okay, he was due. If you can't beat this Denver team on the one night of Paul George is actually off from the field after a spectacular start to this season where he's backed up all his talk, where he's been very aggressive, then you got bigger problems. If you got four Hall of Famers and one of them has an off night, I think you should be able to absorb that and figure it

out. And when anyways, against a Denver team missing their top three guys, that's why it's just inexcusable. Can't happen, shouldn't have happened, but did, and it's really disappointing. They're inventing a different way to lose now before yeah, injuries, you could say it's still that transitional phase with James Harden. I think that's fair to a degree, But not against the team tonight like the Denver Nuggets miss missing so many players, not against the Brooklyn

Nets, not against the Memphis Grizzlies. You would think there would be enough talent just roll the ball out and find a way to win those ball games with the Clippers with the talent disparity between them and the Denver Nuggets tonight and the teams I mentioned earlier, Uh, let's go to bo in La. Here you going, Zachary and Santa Monica. Zachary, what's up here on Clippers soft with that Amazon by Adam? Can you hear me? I got you, zach Oh? Hi? Yeah, well so you would. You

touched on a few things, and I agree with you. This was an abhorrent loss, just extremely disappointing and can happened. I guess what I want, what I'll call about is you mentioned how you thought they were turning a corner after the Dallas win, and you thought that, like you know, they played inspired ball, and they do at times. That's what I guess is frustrating. So I wonder to me it almost because this has happened for

way too long now. It happened under ever since quiring Paul George gart year, but if I'm being honest, it happened even during like the Lob City era where they just took teams lightly and didn't, you know, take them seriously. Well. Part of that, though, let's be clear, part of that, Zach, is every team gets got during the regular season and

loses games they shouldn't. I could go through the Denver Nuggets schedule last season, the eventual champions and say, how do they lose this game that night? It probably happened a half dozen times, so it's not that out of the ordinary. But this particular performance is just so baffling because of what happens Saturday, because they were making strides turning the corner and instead they ran into a wall tonight against a team that had well their identity you would have thought

missing. But that remains that that championship pedigree, even without their top three guys. The Denver Nuggets had it, and the Clippers, yeah, they don't have an identity so far this season. I think that's fair to say. But continue Zachary, Yeah, so I guess what I'm wondering is maybe it almost seems like they when they have a very good win and when they feel confident, they kind of let it get to their heads, if that's

the right term. And I just feel like maybe ky lu Whover's coaching them should be like should cool them into thinking, no, you guys, this means nothing. You just lost. Go out there and play, you know again, like you have a vengeance, like almost trick them into thinking they just lost. So they are like, you know, they have fire in them, because it just seems like when they get comfortable and confident, this just happens where they just kind of sleepwalk and then they end up paying for

it. Sleepwalk is a good way to put tonight's ball game. I think that's fair. But Zachary, I appreciate the phone call. I just I know coach schlu has told them these things. We heard him pregame. He prepared them to not have a letdown, and they still did. Players got to be accountable. I go back to that court from Kawhi Leonard. The message is there, whether it gets across, that's on you. You're the guy out there on the court. See might have got across to Kawhi fine

with the way Paul George is played. Russ played fine tonight. I eats the Zubats, but you know they didn't play together. That was my overarching point tonight. They looked like they were taking turns out there, and they thought they could go away from playing like a well oiled machine and somewhat of a system like we saw Saturday being connected, five guys on a string and just go back to Ah, your turn, my turn. We'll figure it

out. No, not against Denver, no matter who's available, quick time out will come back, We'll hear from coach Lou will close things out. Clippers lose one thirteen to one to four at home to the Denver Nuggets. Maybe this team does read their own press clippings too much and is overconfident. Confident can borderline on arrogance at times. Did they seep into that did they

bleed into that area? I don't know. We'll find out a lot in the next three games, back to back up at NorCal against the Kings, against the Warriors, and then the Warriors back at home on Saturday and Madame Oslin. This is clippershock here only m five seven LA Sports every Clipper game all season, law, they didn't stop playing hard. You're listening to the

LA Clippers Audio network streaming on the iHeartRadio lap. Almost unimaginable the clip compers could find a way to lose this game tonight against a Denver Nuggets team without their top three players. But it's reality. They lose one thirteen to one oh four here at home at Crypto dot Com Arena. Clippers going up north starting Wednesday up at Golden One Center against the Sacramento Kings. A back to back against the Kings, then the Warriors, and the Warriors back home here

on Saturday afternoon. Let's hear from coach Lou after the Clippers what everyone seems to be an agreement on is at least the most disappointing loss so far this season, one of the most disappointing losses in the two and three era. Here was Coach Lou postgame. You gotta reset the router on the internet. It's buffering. It'll get there. I'm not like tonight. Why not? Maybe we don't want to hear from coach Lou. You know what, before

we hear from coach Lou, if we could figure that situation out. We do have Big Brother Jake Warner here do we got it? We got it. Coach Lou Emlin's in the machines. Nothing's working tonight, big Brother Jake Warner, though working. My man pulled like a forty eight hour shift and worked four games recently. Man different arenas, doesn't matter, never complains hardest working man and show business appreciate that. I go, what the money is

that? Big Brother Jake Warner podcast on the podcast one network. Sure he's the fake philosopher. Big Bro, you didn't have a great feeling coming into this game. You didn't. You thought the Clippers may play down to the competition. They did that, and then some give us some positivity please coming out of I do my best, but I have to keep it real, all right to a winner. Complacency and overconfidence can be destructive to losers.

Desperation and despondency are just as harmful that complacency. Words standing out to me right now, Big Time Clippers didn't play like a team that wanted tonight. They played like a team that got fat and happy after taking down the Dallas Mavericks and winning by nineteen Saturday night, I can tell you this Coach Lou, who we do have now until I go to him, and then it's not gonna work. You know what I reverse, Jasons, Okay, it's

gonna work out right, Coach Lou. Obviously Reggie had it going. You guys, tried to get the ball in his hands. He continued to make plays. Deandres continue to make plays like well. Was the challenge of just getting those guys to be uncomfortable tonight. Just you know, early on Reggie getting down, he'll get into his spots, put a lot of pressure on the defense. And then like I said, Deandre's rolls, you know,

down the middle of the floor. Low man was laid all night. We wasn't able to get there in time, and once he takes office, you know it's too late. So defensively, you know, we didn't do a really good job of just understand what we're trying to do when we're trying to take a way that we blitched a little bit more in the second half and still wasn't very good in the blitz. So, like I said, they

was gonna come in and play hard. It's going to compete. And then just tonight, offensively, I just thought we were nasty offensively, too slow, too methodical, and they're taking twenty threes not really getting to what we wanted to get into. So that's me. Yes, I take full responsibility for you know, offensively way and defensively as well, but offensive was just it was a nasty flow to the game and it was too slow. Predict that earlier during the game that he would come out and say it was a

nasty flow offensively because it was. It's accurate and only taking twenty three is how does that happen? This is a team that needs to shoot themselves out of a funk from distance. If you're going to have an identity, part of it is getting into the paint and spray kick it out. Didn't see nearly enough of that. I mean, they had a guy Norman Powell who hit eighteen was life thirty from the outside coming into this game from distance. He went one to five, but I wouldn't mind him getting up a few

more. Clippers lose one thirteen to one oh four. They got to pick up the pieces, gather themselves, have some composure, go up to Sacramento and find a way to bounce back. That's just what it is. It's a tough divisional game against the Kings that if you're not on your p's and q's, you will get run off the court. Clippers will have to be sound and fully focused. Hopefully Sacramento somehow they get their undivided attention with this

Clippers Wall Club Tip time Wednesday is at seven. We'll have Clippers countdown for you starting at six before we get out of here. I do want to thank the Clippers organization.
