But while we have a moment, let's pause ten seconds for station identification
on the Los Angeles Clippers Audio network. This is LA Clippers Basketball AM five seven Los Angeles, ninety eight seven, KYSRHD two Los Angeles and iHeartRadio station. Well Carlo. The first bucket of the game was from Terrence Man, and I thought it was easily his best game of the season. Look to be in rhythm offensively, was more confident out there. Also had a couple of key buckets in that fourth quarter, a putback on an offensive rebound.
His energy was just infectious for this team. It was huge and from the get go they've been looking for him to help bound on the offensive end. Has it really needed to with the way Kawhi and James Harden have shocked the ball, But today those two combined for four for twenty and Terrence Man really cleaned it up seven for fourteen from the field at him. He continued to
shoot the ball early and often. You knew it was gonna be a good night for him when he took the first three that was open, because he felt like coming into this game he had been hesitant to shoot the three ball. He had been waiting to be wide open. He didn't hit a three, but that aggression is where the Clippers need him to play, because not only does he add the point total, but it's the offensive rebounds, the
ability to get steals on the defensive end. When you're scoring, you get a boost of adrenaline, you feel better and that bleeds into everything else. Paul George speaking of aggression getting to the basket over and over again, especially in the first three quarters. He finished with twenty five points, nine of
nineteen, shooting two of five from the outside. After attempting twelve three pointers yesterday, just five in this one is everything seemed to be at the basket, and he finally got rewarded with some shots at the charity striper once it did five of five, knocked them all down twenty five points. I mean, he just continues to be the engine to this offense at the end of the day. Paul George is a heartbeat that's pushing this team through on the
offensive end to start this season. And that's no knock against everybody else. But the numbers have been excellent. He's averaging twenty seven over the last seven games at him and just continues to shoot the ball well. I like how efficient he was tonight. I mean, in the last game he took thirty shots to get to thirty four points. Today it was a little more of a lean attack from PG. Playing like a top ten player in the league right now. Damn near top five with how good he's been on both end.
Ends when you account for the defense, and that's what we should talk about now. Just giving up eighty eight points to the Dallas Mavericks, who ended up shooting thirty seven percent from the floor, just twenty three percent from the outside. And while there were moments where Luka Doncis and Kyrie Irving had it going, the Clippers continued to play through some of those tough shots that were made. They scored on the other end, but they just they swarmed
with their defensive effort out there. They were playing defensive defensive capabilities at one of the highest levels we've seen so far this year. It was excellent. Dallas had nothing easy tonight, and that's what you take away from this Clippers team. They didn't allow open threes, they didn't allow easy drives to the rim, they didn't allow a whole lot of second chance points. The Mavericks finish with just ten of them, and the Clippers were excellent and not allowing
guys who maybe don't score that often to get high point totals. You look at this box score, Hardaway Junior had twelve, he was averaging seventeen. Irving and Dancich combined for fifty six. Outside of that nobody else had over five points. I mean, it was a quiet night for the other cast for this Mavericks team that usually gets forty four points a game from their bench, the third best in the NBA. It was actually defense by the Clippers.
Mavericks came in. Their lowest total was in our last game against the Lakers. They had one hundred and four points. Clippers held them to sixteen below that, and the Clippers looked like the team that had two days off, and the Dallas Mavericks looked like the team who had tired legs and were on the second night of him back to back. And speaking of legs, there was some serious energy from Russell Westbrook and also Norman Powell off the bench.
They were spectacular. Russ with twelve of his fourteen in the fourth quarter helping put this one away. But I like the way he eased himself into this game by doing the little things, by being that connector out there. He finished with seven assists, and he was making the extra pass and I believe he only took one jumper. It was a three pointer he missed in the far side corner. Outside of that, everything was at the rim for us. It was excellent. I mean, he was just selective with the
shots. It wasn't something where he was looking for, Hey, is this person open? Should I force it here or should I drive the lane? It was Oh, Doncic, is the switch? Let me take it to the rim. And he was able to get to the rim quickly and score often. And I think you mentioned it the control. That's what you need for Russell Westbrook, controlled offense and basketball. He inch towards a triple double today and that is something obviously he has averaged a triple double in multiple seasons.
But this was kind of that throwback performance from Russell Westbrook where maybe he's starting to find his niche now coming off the bench and the way he can help this Clippers team. Norman Powell, Well, he's been doing this for a long time. He's been in the running for six Man of the Year, was one of the leaders in scoring off the bench last season, but this was one of his masterpieces. He was perfect four to four from the field, three of three from three, four or four from the free throw
line. Fifteen points in twenty four minutes. And normOn Powell, you can just see the confidence brimming with confidence right now in his shooting ability. His first three pointer was knocked down off a pass from Russell Westbrook. Yeah, the catching shoot threes. I mean, he's just automatic so far this season, and so far in the last six games that he's fully played at him, he's been nineteen for thirty from the three point line. That is tremendous.
He's absurd. His ability to shoot with the basketball is absurd, and it's been so fun to watch this Clipper team. This is I think, in my opinion, probably the best win of the season for the Clippers. You think about Dallas coming in off a big win over the Lakers, they've been one of the better teams. They smoked the Clippers out on the road, and the Clippers dominated probably the my best three point he shooting team in the NBA to date. It was an excellent win and you want to keep
it going because Denver's coming in doesn't get much easier. Monday night. Clippers can exercise some demons against the Denver Nuggets team that well, coach Lewis said it. They have owned the Clippers really going back to that three to one comeback in the bubble, and now the Denver Nuggets they are the defending champs. They'll be without Jamal Murray. They'll be on the second night of a back to back when they come back in here to Crypto dot Com Arena.

Eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number. Let's
get to second half highlights. Clippers led by as many as eighteen in the first half. They were up fifty six to forty five twenty four minutes into this one, and just like he started off the ball game in the first quarter, Terrence Man still had it going in the third, hard and right wing, dancing with his former teammate, Irving, tasts it base one, kicks a right corner, Terrence Man drives the lane, pulls up from fifteen over the top burring, and then Terrence Man as tight as season nine.
With eleven Dallas led by Dancic into the front court right block, Exum goes up parents Man plucked it from behind off of exim to the Clippers. Terrence Man with four quick points early in that third quarter. Clippers would get up by as many as twenty four. In the third they led seventy nine to sixty two after Kyrie Irving knocked down a tough three pointer over Norman Palell on the right wing to end the quarter. He would also hit a three pointer
to start the fourth quarter. But the Clippers then well, they would rely on Russell Westbrook coming off the bench and supplying some offense. Now right corner, Westbrook gets by Grant William laffield yamp pupping in a blur to the rim.
Russell Westbrook with a new eighty seven to seventy straight away back to Westbrook one on one with Don Juste crossed over left hand dancing the paint, right handed, lamp up and hand dress o Westbrook taking it to the rack as he tang goes with Luga Ancic. Westbrook pedals it into the front court and now cross into the body of Doncic, goes up, puts it off the window, gets his own rebound hand lays it up the left hand Westbrook doing
all the work by himself. Westbrook gets by doncas the layup the hoop, no harm and a chance for a three point play, wast the handle underneath the rim, flips it out Kobe Brown right wing three, and then out offensive rebound Westbrook will lay it back out. Russ is having one of his
best games this season. Eight rebounds, seven assists, fourteen points. Russ, with twelve of his fourteen in the last twelve minutes of the ballgame, went six of nine from the field, and the Clippers would hold Dallas to eighty eight points after they were averaging one hundred and twenty per game. Clippers win one, seven to eighty eight on the second night of a back to back here at Crypto dot Com Arena coming up. They'll be back here on

is on the two one three Era continues. You're listening to the LA Clippers on the LA Clippers Audio Network when one o seven to eighty eight here at Crypto dot com Arena over Luca Dawnsis, Kyrie Irving in the Dallas Mavericks. Clippers improved a seven can eat on the season. They can get to back back to five hundred with a victory over the Denver Nuggets Monday night. Not gonna be easy. Tip time for that once at seven thirty. Pregame at
six thirty. Clippers ended up shooting just forty three percent from the field. Doesn't matter when you hold Dallas to thirty seven percent from the floor and out rebound them forty to twenty seven with seventeen offensive rebounds Dallas just ten. Clippers with thirteen turnovers, Dallas with just nine. They won that area, but the Clippers fifty four points in the paint. Twenty of their first twenty three points came in the paint. Second chance points Clippers twenty five to ten,
outscoring Dallas by fifteen. There seventeen offensive rebounds will do that fast break points in favor of the Clippers as well, nineteen to fourteen, and the Clippers starters the worst plus minus out there was James Harden with a plus fourteen. They dominated Dallas's starting five. Luka Doncic had twenty two of his thirty points in the first half, cooled off after that. Kyrie Irving caught fire towards the end of the third start of the fourth, but the Clippers put out
those fires. Their defense was swarming, they were engaged. Defensive intensity was present throughout the night from everyone that was out there on the court. I thought Paul George, though, really set the tone early. He was relentless, attacking the basket, twenty five points, nine of nineteen shooting, got to the free throw line, went five of five there or assisted just one
turnover. And on a night where Kawhi Leonard goes two for twelve James Harden goes two for eight, they combined four for twenty and the Clippers still win one O seven to eighty eight. Russell Westbrook was great twelve of US fourteen in the fourth, but more importantly, wasn't taking jumpers, wasn't settling, was attacking, and before that he was just trying to set the table.
Get Paul George the basketball, getting warm, palad basketball norm perfect four to four, fifteen points on four shots in twenty four minutes, didn't miss from the outside, didn't miss from the charity stripe. Clippers win one O seven to eighty eight again. They're coming back here Monday night. They'll finish off this home stand before they head up north to take on the Kings and the Warriors Monday night against the Denver Nuggets, they got to slay that dragon.
They got to find a way. Tip time for that one seven thirty pre game at outside of Los Angeles. We are leaving you until then, but coming up next year on M five seventy LA Sports, It's Clippers Talk. Adam Osley the Clippers with the big defense against Dallas, holding them to eighty eight points and fifty six less than they gave up about a week and a half ago in Dallas, Clippers win what oh seven to eighty eight on the second night of a back to back here at Crypto dot com arena. Welcome into your postgame show. I'm out of Oslin,
taking it till the top of the hour. Eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number. What a performance, A defensive stand by the Clippers who played with a little something extra out there after being down twenty one last night in the first quarter to the Pelicans and their comeback would come up short. I
wasn't sure what legs they would have left. Well, they look like the team that had two days off, like the Dallas Mavericks after beating the Lakers here Wednesday night. They look like the fresher, more ready, more prepared, more explosive team out here. Impressive victory, the Clippers' best win so far of the season, given the level of competition, given the fact second night of a back to back, the disappointment last night of coming up short.
Clippers started fast tonight. They were up big early. They led by twelve in the first quarter. It was twenty nine to eighteen after one, and there was a different level of energy from the Clippers, and I thought Terrence Man supplied it. This was his best game so far this season in the starting lineup, Russ coming off the bench, Clippers four and one. Now with that new configuration, we'll talk more about Russ, but I want
to start with Terrence Man. A spinning layup around Luka Doncich that give them their first victory. Remember, there's some beef between those two going back to twenty twenty. They got into it up in Vancouver in a preseason game. Luka Doncis had the basketball, there was a blown whistle, Terrence Man took it away from him. Luca Donsons didn't like that. Terrence Man put his forearm to his throat, just two competitors getting after it. And since then,
there's always been something extra from Luka Nancich against the Clippers. That's the biggest or the best explanation I can give you for why he has always put up huge numbers against this team, averaging thirty three points per game in his career against the Clippers. The only guys better than that against an opponent higher scoring average MJ and Wilt Chamberlain. Luca typically takes it out on the Clippers. He was averaging forty one in his last six games against the Clippers coming
into this one after Dallas had one hundred and forty four points. He had forty four in Dallas in their first meeting this season, where he only missed four shots. I think it goes back to he and Terrence Man. There's just an extra edge, a different energy out there, raised intensity. But I mentioned Terrence Man getting the Clippers started spinning layup in transition around Luka Dancic. Then he slashed to the hoop off of Kawhi feed for a layup,
then a jam on Powell, huge one. Harden had a steal on Luca to Man in transition. Man had a fade away then to start the third quarter. So he starts the scoring for the Clippers in both halves, a huge block on Dante Exum, and then in the fourth quarter four points where he had a dunk. He was in the dunker spot, cutting baseline. They found him and an offensive rebound put back off a Kawhi missed three pointer in a game where Kawhi and James Harden were four for twenty combining for just
sixteen points on twenty shots. The Clippers win oneh seven to eighty eight. It was Terrence Man. It was Paul George. Not many in this league are playing better than Paul George right now. Thirty four last night on thirty shots, nine of nineteen tonight, twenty five points, nine boards, four assists, just one turnover. Man. The defense has been elite. His leadership has been great. I've seen him tell him guys, hey, we
got to talk out here. He's trying to get things in line, making sure this team can turn a corner, as they won for their last five now with James Harden since they put him into the starting lineup, or since they took Russ and put him on the bench. In Terrence Man next to James Harden in the starting lineup, in the starting backcourt. But Paul George a three pointer early, then got to the basket. No foul was called, but tough layup, another tough layup in traffic. He had a nice
lob to Daniel Tye in the second quarter. He had a three in the third to answer one made by Derek Jones Junior, and then he had a layup off I think it was a nice feed from Russell Westbrook at the beginning of the fourth quarter, then knocked down some free throws and a big jumper out of a timeout when Dallas was still hanging around and Kyrie Irving was starting to heat up, and it was just a thirteen point game after the Clippers
are led by as many as twenty four and the fourth PG thirteen hit the silencer big shot to put him back up fifteen. He was great. I just love the way he has played to start off this season. Backing up the talk of him being on his bully. Yes, thirty three year old, now more mature games, more refined, But I don't know if I've seen him attack the basket as relentlessly as I have the last couple of nights
and really the start of this season. Yeah, there was one game and it happened to be against Dallas where he said, I was trying to be the glue guy, filling the cracks, do some of the little things. We lost Roco, we lost Nicholas batoumb I'll try to make up for that, and they said, forget that, we're killing that. I'm going back to being aggressive. He right to be dominant on his shoes every game. When he's looking down, that's what he sees and he has been. He's
been unequivocally their best player to start off this season. As Kawhi has been a little bit up and down at times. Obviously down in this game, I know how to pick him. Had Kawhi is my player to watch and he went two for twelve. I think some of the shooting goes from Kawhi, and he's had some good games too. He just had twenty six against San Antonio and he's been efficient overall, but it could be related to him
giving more on the defensive end. Kawhi has been really good there, focusing in there, but he didn't hit his first shot till the third quarter baseline fade away, stuck another one when he got back into the game in the fourth over two defenders falling away, but those were his only two makes and the Clippers were fine. They had Russ, who had his best game since
coming off the bench. First, he had a tip in off of Kawhi miss as soon as he entered the ball game, then a nice pass to Zubats for a dunk, a kickout to Norm for three to get Norm going, who has been on a heater and was perfect tonight four to four from the field in twenty four minutes, three of three from three, four to four from the charity Strive fifteen points off of four shots in twenty four minutes. Norm Powell the confidence, zero hesitation with the shot right now, catch
and shoot Norm, or turn the corner. Norm get around the defense for a layup. But Russ got him going. He drew an offensive foul into the third after he had a turnover, then a tough bucket going baseline in the fourth, just blowing by his man and using the left hand to get the layup to go. Went right at Luca midway through the fourth for a layup, then had a put back on his own, missing traffic, and then an a one off the glass and one more offensive rebound in a putback.
Twelve of his fourteen points for Russ coming in the fourth. But I thought he let his offense come to him slowly. He settled in by just getting into the flow of the game, doing little things, getting other guys involved. Russ finished with seven assists, just two turnovers, and I want to say he had two assists and just two points in the first quarter. He was trying to get Paul George going had three more assists in the second
quarter. He didn't force jumpers like he did yesterday, going one of eight, and most of them were all jumpers from the outside. He only took I think one tonight. It was a three point in the far side corner. He was wide open. He actually shoots them very well from there. Couldn't get it to go, But everything else was around the rim. The timing, the touch was much better. Really good bounce back performance from Russ He and norn pal off the bench great. I mentioned Daniel Tice, he
didn't have to do as much. He still had a couple of offensive rebounds. I mentioned the playoff of a nice pass from Paul George early on. Liked his play five points, three boards in sixteen minutes, energy, hustle, contests everything. Yeah, he got called for a goaltend, but he also had a block on Kyrie Irving. The guy's just always playing around the basket. PJ Tucker, I thought being a plus three out there in seven minutes where he was guarding Luka Doncic a lot and just the guys that they
can throw at Luca. Even though he had twenty two points in the first half, just eight in the second half. I thought the defense was stellar. I thought they'd changed levels and the Clippers just made life as tough as you can on He and Kyrie Irving, they play a lot of iol Why wouldn't you with those two, But nobody else really caught fire. There was a moment where Hardaway, Tim Hardaway Junior I thought was starting to get it going. But now he finished five or fourteen, twelve points, two of
nine from distance. Just nobody else had it outside the fifty six points they got from Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncics. And you'll live with that all day, Luca twelve or twenty seven, You'll live with that all day. Did I mention you only miss four shots last time out against the Clippers. He just could never truly find that rhythm in the second half like he had in the first half where I want to say he has seventeen points in the second
quarter. He was keeping Dallas in it. Clippers were up by eleven at the half, but they had led by as many as eighteen in the first half, and Luka Doncics was just keeping Dallas around within arm's length. And you never know when Kyrie Irving hit that three pointer, it was a twenty point lead for the Clippers. End of the third quarter, Kyrie knocks down a three on the right wing, well defended by Norman pal doesn't matter. Oh, it's a seventeen point lead now. Then it comes down to a
thirteen point lead. As Kyrie irving first, he started with a three pointer from the near side corner at the beginning of the fourth quarter, So back to back three he's end of the third into the fourth he went on his own eighth straight point run for the Dallas Mavericks, and he started to wonder, Oh, he's starting to cook. And when these guys start hitting shots,
there's not much you can do. They're that good. But the Clippers defense was consistently present tonight, and for the most part they've been very good. It's the offense at times with James Harden, surprisingly that hasn't fully clicked in yet. But I know the advanced numbers will look much better. Their offensive rating, defensive rating. Overall, they had a net rating of plus sixteen. This new starting lineup coming into tonight and with Kawhi Leonard, it
put it this way. Kawhi's two of twelve in his twenty nine minutes he led them being a plus twenty four were out there. Don't tell me he wasn't still impactful or finding ways to help this team win. I haven't talked about Big Zoo. He talked with Carlo Amennez post game eleven and fourteen from him, five of eight shooting, Zoo had a hook shot started, The third was an and one big dunk off a pass from Harden to put them up twenty four and James while going to of eight again seven assists, just
two turnovers, and both of his makes were from distance. He's just not taking enough shots, honestly to get into a rhythm. He's only taken eight shots in each of the last two games tonight and yesterday. But in control, and the Clippers controlled this game with their defense, steady offense continue to score, just stifled or were able to stem the tide. Whenever there was that onslaughder, you felt like Dallas was starting to gain momentum. Clippers shut
it off. Some fires would start. They put him out. Terrence Man tremendous. The effort plays out there. He was hounding them defensively, picking up Luca full Court at times. That history, it means something. Now. Terrence Man always plays like that, so I'm gonna give him all the credit in the world. Wasn't just because Luka Doncic, but good to see Terrence Man have his best game of the season. This is who he can be. He can average twelve points a game for this team while doing all
these little things, but he can do so efficiently. And while the three still aren't falling, at least he took them attempted for tonight oh four. Yeah, you want to see him fall. But Terrence Man tonight, I think he was the player of the game. I think he was the engine, the catalyst for the Clippers and the big reason they were that good defensively and also got some easy ones on the offensive end. We'll take a quick
time out. We'll get to your phone calls. Eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy is the phone number. Clippers dominate the Mavericks. Well the one oh seven eighty eight victory. Here at Crypto dot com arena, they have won four or five since Terrence Man got back in the starting lineup next to James Harden. This was more the template for how Russ needs to play coming off the bench.
It was the antithesis of yesterday's performance going to the basket, but more importantly being a connector early on finding others and then finding his offense leader, easing into it, and while Harden and Kawhi struggled with their shot, they found other ways to contribute. Harden's defense the last two nights, I'm telling you guys, he died up Luka doncicch really well. Tonight, he had his moments against Zion yesterday. These were two of the best defensive games I've seen
from James Harden in his career. That's not hyperbole. He was really good. More Clippers start coming up next to our five seven LA Sports. The LA Clippers continue their hunt for a larryob They still want to get that LARRYO beat. Don't miss a moment all season longed. This is the LA Clippers Audio Network. Clippers went big over the Mavericks on the second night of a back to back, really impressive performance. Clippers' best performance of the season,
best victory of the year so far. They win one seven to eighty eight over Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks, who were a top three seed coming into this one in the West. Obviously early in the season, but not too early to celebrate big victories like this. Clippers need them in spades. They need another one coming up Monday night against the Denver Nuggets. They need to slay that dragon because a six game losing streak and some
of the competition was low level. They lost to a Memphis team that was down many men. They lost to a Brooklyn Nets team that was down many men. They got to make up for that somewhere. Means you're gonna have to beat some of the top level teams now to do so. So one in one so far in this tough six game stretch Monday night Denver, then at Sacramento in Golden State in a back to back, and then Golden State back here at Crypto dot Com Arena. So the gauntlet has arrived for the
Clippers. I'm at a maslin. You're listening to Clippers tuck eight six six ninety seven two five seventy eight six six ninety seven two five seventy. Sometimes you like to look at the losing locker room, as Ben Maller would say, not just for the negativity, but he says that's where the story is well. Jason Kidd was given the Clippers a lot of praise postgame. He said, I thought the Clippers physicality. They were physical from the start,
and we didn't shoot the ball well. The things we talked about that were positive. They only had nine turnovers, but they didn't shoot the three well. They didn't best three point shooting team in the league. They were averaging one hundred and twenty a game and they went just nine to thirty eight from the outside. But while some of that is yes, cold shooting, Clippers benefit from that. They were only eight of twenty nine from the outside.
They could shoot a much better too. But I thought their defensive attack and how many guys that when you mix up defenders on great players, that's the best way to slow them down. Just give them different looks out there. And the Clippers have a lot of different guys to throw at. Luka Kawhi, Paul George, Terrence Man, James Harden was on him, p J. Tucker was on him, Daniel Tice was on Russell Westbrook, Norman Pollock. They just have a plethora of switchable defenders still, even after the trade
for those wings. I mean you got Kawhi Leonard and Paul George still, Terrence Man still, all three of those guys in the starting lineup. Co Guard went through four, some of them can Guard went through five. All right, let's get out to the phones. Lenny and Ingle would who won tickets to this game the other night on Clippers Talk, Lenny, did you enjoy it? Did the Clippers deliver for you? Or what? Adam Ausman you to look? Man, let me tell you something. Clipper Nation,
Adam Austin takes care, takes care of equip nation. Man. When I came there first of all, great seats man, I mean the damn seats are so close. I fell a fight that brought my jersey. I could have gotten the layup line. Uh, it was. It was really good man. My son was there. We had a good time and just a
couple of points. Man. It's interesting when you say that, when people say it's gonna take some time to work to work things out, and I you know, when you see a game, courts, when you see a game like that up front and close like you see it, you see certain things that you're able to see on TV. Sometimes. Yeah, let me tell you Zion looked much bigger in person yesterday. Oh my gosh. Man, But I but I said, I said last year, I said, we had to get we had to get in position because if he comes back
and if he's on point, it's gonna be a problem. But Kawhi said something the other day that I he kind of put things. He said, sometimes great players, good players have great games, and he was right. Them Cats came out yesterday and they're on fire, and that's you know, And it was Herb Jones, really Herb Jones in that fourth quarter. It wasn't Jonas Valanciunis, it wasn't brandon Ingram Zion. It was to be expected
what he was doing. But Herb Jones stepping up and having his own I think nine to oer run at one point the fourth quarter is what did the Clippers in absolutely absolutely, and they did not let that bring them keep them in the hole. They came out, man, they came out aggressive. I can't say enough about Terrence man. I mean, wow, it's that
if he's bringing that kind of game. We know he's got that kind of motor, but if he's bringing that kind of offensive game into the mix again, I see it now it's gonna take And I think you're right about Hardened playing d I mean, man, he's not backing down. He's getting the balls, he's reaching these bodying people. I mean, I can't even believe this is the same hard Man. But he's bought in. He's bought in, Lenny, He's totally bought in, man. I mean, he's not
even looking for a shot. And the fact, like you said, for them to beat Dallas, who was playing great ball, they came in there, Kyrie was on one. He was looking to take it, to take it from him, and they couldn't be They couldn't. The Clippers were not gonna back down, and just Paul came out. Terrence Man came out. Norm Powell. My gosh, I don't even know what this sa. Man. I know the Clippers aren't done ticking with that roster, but I just
hope they don't. They don't make that mistake. Man, Normal, we need doing Powell. There's there's very few players in the league that can do what he does, man, And just a really really good game. It was the first official blowout, I mean dominant wins the season. Like you said, they're best woman to Sea best win of the season. And you could see it from the layup line. Man. They were ready and they knew they dropped one. And now we got to go out and we got
to get Denver. It's really really important, man. I mean they've they've had our number for almost two years. I mean since the bubble. Let's let's keep it a buck. They've had us to the bubble. We've gotta go outget it. We can do it. We can do it because we got wet, we got the players. But just a really big positive, uh comprehensive winning. And Paul George he was right, man. He is on his bully ball. He's like butter out there. Man, he's going
through defensive slicing, dicing. Just just great. Man. I can't say enough. That was a really really good win tonight. And I thank you, thank you for the tickets. Man. We had a really good time. And uh yeah, man, let's go let's clip the nation all day. Hey, Lenny, I only ask this you start calling in more often now frequently. All right, let's get back on it. I'm back. I'm back. It was nice to meet you, my friend. It for real, man, awesome man, good job at him, all right,
I appreciate the phone call. Clippers win tonight one to oh, seven to eighty eight. He was talking about Norman Powell there and just how hot he has been. He Let's see here, he's seven for his last nine from the outside. He came into this one shooting forty six percent from three, fifty percent from the field, and he was perfect Norman Powle three of three from distance, and he's just letting him fly. He's just blacking out out there, just unconscious. I love it. He's not thinking about it.
His confidence just looks like it's at an all time high right now. And that's saying something because this guy had a forty point game in Game three for the Clippers when they were down Kawhi and Paul George in the playoffs last season. He is very capable of erupting like this consistently, especially because you know you can only pick your poison and take away so many of these dangerous shooters on the Clippers. And I'm telling you, Coach Lou complained last night rightfully.
So he was asked about, you know, what are you looking for? How many three point attempts versus twos? Is there a number? And he said look, I just want him to knock down shots because this team is capable of doing that, and they've been in kind of a funk. And about a week ago when the Clippers were on that six game losing streak, he said postgame after Norm had a good one, he said, I think it was against Denver. He said, Norm finally hit some shots.
He was challenging him, and Norm has responded. He's been hot. He has been scorching hot from the outside, and we want to see that continue against Denver because that was the game that the Clippers let get away from them. They would win the next one, but that was their sixth straight loss. When they had a lead up by seven six minutes left in the fourth quarter, Norm hit a big shot, a three pointer. I think they
give them a three point lead late, but they couldn't hold on. They played small, Zubas didn't come back into the ballgame, and they got crushed late. Their offense suffered. It's a huge game Monday. That's a get back for the Clippers. Eight six six ninety seven two five seventy. We'll take a quick time out. We'll get back to your phone calls here on Clippers Stock eight sixty six, nine, eight seven, two five seventy after they win one oh seven to eighty eight. Here at Crypto dot Com Arena
over the Dallas Mavericks. Clippers got four more tough ones coming up, maybe none tougher than taking on the Denver Nuggets, who will be on the second night of a back to back. They play in San Antonio tomorrow. Worth monitoring how that game goes. Let's go Spurs, rise up, Wemby, come on, make it tough on Denver, tire them out a little bit. Clippers are dealing with this gauntlet of a schedule. They're not the only ones, though. More Clippers stock next coming up here on FI seventy Sports.
LA Clippers basketball is on the two one three Era continues. You're listening to the La Clippers on the LA Clippers Audio Network. Clippers win one oh seven to eighty eight. They hold Dallas to eighty eight points, a top three offense, a team that was scoring one twenty a game, a team with Luka Doncics and Kyrie Irving tonight. It's fifty six points less than they
gave up last time in Dallas about a week and a half ago. Clippers now have one four of five since they went to this new starting lineup with a rust coming off the bench. Welcome back into clipperstock. I'm out of Maslin. Eight six six ninety seven two five seventy eight six six ninety seven two five seventy is the phone number. Our friend Law Murray of the Athletic put this out there, reminding me of something just like against the Orlando Magic
and a Clippers very solid victory earlier this season. More then afterwards they wouldn't win for seventeen days. Kawhi two for twelve, but did everything else right defensively, rebounding. That's what you love about your superstars here. When they're missing shots, they still have so much more to offer. Coach Lulough was asked I think about Kawhi's shooting woes and said, if he needs time off, well he's not concerned, then Kawhi, the medical staff will speak up
and it will be addressed. Well, he's got tomorrow off. Physically, he looks good. I think he's had to play bigger. He's had to do more at the RAM and battle in the post more because no Roco, no Batoomb, no Marcus Morris, and that has taken something out of him offensively, more tired legs maybe late in games, but you love the effort defensively, and what a menace he still is on that end. He had a deflection knock the ball out of bounds on Luka Doncics. He was arguing
with the official. He was fouled late in the ballgame. Kawhi is still him, still can ramp up with that two time defensive player of the Year energy. All right, tagus in Walnut, you're on clipper stock. What's uptageous? Hey, Adam? How you doing great game? I think I
agree with you. I felt like PG had the play of the game when they had cut it to thirteen and coach Luke call time out and then set up a play for him at the Frito elbow and he made an easy fifteen footer and put him back to fifteen and then Russ got that layup and pushed it to seventeen. I think those are the two plays of the game in that fourth quarter. I agree with you. And yeah, and the Kawhi
fade away also over two defenders was nice. Yeah. I think that was his second field goal of the game, correct, Yeah, it was the same spot as the one he hit in the third quarter too, he went right back to it. I don't know if that was the only shot he took in the fourth quarter. He took one other one, but yeah, it seemed like the Clippers made a conscious effort to attack the basket today. With seemed like Dallas was playing small because if they were without Maxie, but
especially team Man and Westbrook, they were getting Daniel size. They were getting a lot of offensive boards, and I think that they played you know, they just played smart and that was good to see. And coming up nex against Denver, I was gonna My thoughts were that, you know, we've seen against Denver we play small quite often, and if we do play small, then we have to be attacking Jokic, So involved him in high pick
and rolls as much as possible and just attack him. Because if we're playing small and Jokic is not being attacked, then I don't think we're utilizing our small ball as well. So if we do play small, I hope we attacked Jolkic, especially with Murray out. I feel like it's a no brainer to do that. But we'll see if coach Lou played small coming Monday. Now, that's a good strategy by you, and it reminded me of something Russell Westbrook did late in the fourth quarter. He scored on Luka Dancis and
then started screaming, go at him. That's what you have to do to wear out these great offensive players that are just unstoppable. Just tire them out, go at them defensively, make them have to guard. So I'm with you completely. That is the only thing that might slow down a player, the best player in the world in Nikola Jokicic. So thank you for the phone call, Tagus and the words of wisdom. A schematic genius, Tajus Walna. We'll take a quick time out. We'll come back close things out.
Clippers win one, seven to eighty eight over the Dallas Mavericks. Here at Crypto dot Com arena, I'm a Maslin and this is clippersaw Here on a M five seventy LA Sports. The LA Clippers continue their hunt for a Lario be. They still want to get that Lario beat. Don't miss a
moment all season long. This is the LA Clippers Audio Network. Clippers with some versatility tonight showing it off against the Dallas Mavericks team the switch ability defensively holding Dallas is just eighty eight points in the Los Angeles Clippers win one, seven to eighty eight. They improved to seven and eight. I'll give you the standings here because it's of no they beat a ten and six now Dallas
Mavericks team that is third in the West. Clippers still eleventh currently at seven and eight, but uh, they can obviously, you can determine your own destiny with over almost seventy games left in the season. Uh, they got to win against Denver Monday night, straight up. Denver is right for the
picking without Jamal Murray. The Clippers have had oh so close chances to beat them, not just this season in their first matchup where they were up by seven with six minutes left, but late last year in an overtime game they should have had the Tenver Nuggets. They've been right there. They got to get over the hump, and I expect Kawhi Leonard to play his best in that game in terms of his scoring. But this is a Clippers team now.
They've won for their last five. And I got this text or tweet or x whatever you want to call it from Michael Selva at follow outam A. He said, listen to Clippers talking. Can't call, but would love to hear your thoughts on these rotations and clicking for the team and Russ getting comfortable in his role. Could you see him contending for six Man of the Year. I could if he embraces it. Of course, he'll be fighting with Norm Powell, not a That's a good problem to have if you're coach
Lou. You got two guys coming off the bench playing that well. It's good to see bones Hyland get some mop up duty at least late. That guy never lacks confidence. He put up four shots in three minutes, knock down a three pointer. But when Russ plays like this and doesn't force it and isn't out there just chucking, I mean in that first quarter last night, he comes into the ballgame, Clippers are already down double digits, and he takes re straight shots, tough shots, ill advised shots, and all
of a sudden you're down by twenty one. One of his shots was out of a timeout, a three pointer. It just was unnecessary. He has so much else to offer with his game. Speaking of versatility, Russ has that, so there is still a big role for him on this team. And I like what I'm seeing from the rotations, the Daniel Tice, PJ Tucker, T and T factory minutes. I like that. And remember they didn't have Daniel Tice against Denver the last time out. I expect him to
get minutes against Nikola Jokic Monday night tip time for that one. I say, pull up the schedule in real time? Is that seven thirty. We'll have Clippers countdown at six point thirty before we get out of here. We got to bring in the fake philosopher, Big Brother Jake Warner, Big Brother Jake podcast and the podcast one network. Yes, sir, let's get some positive moments from the fake philosopher. Positive moments, all right. Success is
not final, Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts. I like that. That is inspirational, and I like tonight where the Clippers are still game under five hundred. There's so much more. There's so many more games coming in this long NBA season. Yeah, they can't go to Vegas for the NBA in season tournament. But Big Brother Jake Warner not only the fake philosopher, but the fake prognosticator. As tonight he said, free game. We got a good feeling about this one. He thought
the Clippers would win big. They did, with a one O seven to eighty eight final over the Dallas Mavericks. Jake, you got a prediction for Monday or it's a w baby? Oh I feel a good now? Watch okay, Okay, here we go, Ah, big brother Jake Warner with the predictions here before we got out of here. I do want to think the Clippers organization.
