Time for a postgame. Look, it's your LA Clippers. This is Clippers Locker Road, brought to you by Cedars Sinai, the official health partner of the LA Clippers, and by Patchonga, official travel casino of the LA Clippers. Breaking down today's action with the pre and post game voice. If you're LA Clippers, they're locking in every game every now. Adam Osland, the Clippers gave up twenty three May threes to the Charlotte Hornets, but somehow did

not get stung. They would win in Charlotte one thirty to one eighteen. Welcome into your postgame show. I'm at AA Osland, coming up on the Patriot Am eleven to fifty. We'll have clipperstock for you eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty, or you can get to me on x at follow Adam A. Let's go back out to Charlotte get the Spectrum Center with Carlo Jimenez Carlo PG thirteen, Paul George

forty one points, but on just twenty one shots to get there. Thanks to that elite of efficiency that we've seen in the month of March, he has been on one he started zero for three Adam and proceeded to go fourteen for eighteen down the stretch. I mean, just as hot as a torch in this bony game, lit up in a hurry and never cooled down.

It was impressive stuff from Paul George. I thought he was excellent pick in his spots and Adam he didn't really do it by getting to the free throw line, shot one free throw at thirty seven points and then finished the final the final four points to get the forty one with four made free throws. But he was so so good down the stretch and that he really carried their

offense and Adam really timely shooting. I mean, how many times did Charlotte push it to five to six before George would knock down a big time shot to inflate that cushion for the clips. It was an impressive performance from Paul George, but just as impressive it was just as needed for this Clipper team in this game. Yeah, they don't win without it. If it was just about him trying to show Brandon Miller how it was done, that wouldn't

be enough. The Clipper set all those points from Paul George to win in Charlotte. They also needed Kawhi Leonard to perform down the stretch. We thought maybe he wouldn't come back into the ball game in the fourth quarter. You talked with Big Zoo, who had a revealing interview with you postgame about that and the Clippers letting up a little bit, but it gave Kawhi Leonard a chance for some more clutch buckets late. Yeah, this is one thing I

appreciate about. It eats the zoobotes. He's very honest when he opts on when we get him, he always tells, you know, it feels like they could have been Benner and Kawhi Leonard gets on the floor late and really pushes them down the stretch. I thought he was great in figuring things out offensively, getting to his sponsor, I mean, an efficient game for him,

ten for nineteen with twenty three points. Just continues to be on another level for this team and really bring the focus that they need night in and night out. Impressive stuff from the claw once again at him. It feels like we don't have many many off games with Kawhi Leonard, and while he didn't light up the box score today, he was great for the Clippers beats the zoo us with twenty four and twelve, by the way, seven for

eight from the field a couple of blocks. They got him going early and often, and then also got him on the block late as he would knock down a couple of free throws. I just love when a Viza Zubots becomes a focal point of this Clippers offense. It just feels like it opens up a whole nother dimension to how potent the offense can be. Carlo Yeah, because once you have Zubats going, it really creates spacing on the offensive end.

And that's a word that if you're a Clipper fan, might trigger some PTSD because that's often what Tyler talks about when the offense is struggling right, spacing, spacing. We got get our spacing right. We gotta figure out how to find seams on the offense. Vent we have figure out how to spread the floor. And when Zubats gets going, there is a lot more space on the floor because teams can't double off of him, because teams have

to respect him underneath the rim. And you see that with the Clippers today. How many times does Zubac catch one on one and Vita Zubats just goes to work against his defender because the team one is shooting so well, but because they're also feeding him the basketball. Fun to watch a Vita Zubots go to work and he did just that as he talked about at him his mini hook shot. That's his shot, that's his shot, and boy, he

was near perfect today, seven freight from the field. I love the response of hearing that question from you by Viza Zoubos there knowing that he's seven percent better with that right handed hook shot than the next best player in the NBA. Keep getting him involved, Clippers. Clippers win in Charlotte one thirty one eighteen. They survived twenty three main to three pointers by the Charlotte Hornets, tying a season high. Clippers next ball game, the final one of this

four game Roady. They'll be in Sacramento taking on a depleted Kings team. Tuesday night tiptime is at seven. Well of your pregame show starting at six, Carlo Jimenez, great call is always enjoy sack Town. Safe travels, my Fred, Thank you, Adam. Excited to be on the Pacific time zone and excited for another road game. Let's go Clippers. Come through and win by twelve. But before that second half highlights, Clippers were up sixty seven to fifty five at the half. The would eventually win by

twelve points. They are up by twelve at the half. In the third quarter, Paul George continued to cook along with Kawhi Leonard Games, Tabs, Wat Pulp Bates takes it into the swings at George steps into a left wing three ballsye. Paul George swings at George right corner a three over Brandon Miller and down the well. Leonard down the right alley, crossed over left hand

into the paint, fading therrying kawhi Leonard from the mid range. Westbrook finds Leonard left the logo and his all orange new balances slowly works his way in to the paint and sticks it from the mid range. The Clippers would be up ninety three to eighty two, so Charlotte was a plus one in that third quarters. They continued to knock down three pointers and never really stopped,

but the Clippers eventually stop their run. Late in the ballgame. It was who else Paul George coffee extra passed Westbrook straight away George open for three for thirty points. Yes, Sir George Pully so the rib the bucket bot boo win on in right block, it's George from the mid range. He'll try it and con act. George on the right wing takes it into the paint

left block way up, popping in a great screen by zoobots. Paul George had thirteen points thirteen with thirteen in that fourth quarter, finished with a season high believe of forty one, as the Clippers went on to win by twelve with a final score one thirty two, one eighteen in Charlotte over the Hornets. Clippers' next game, next leg of this four game road trip, will be in Sacramento on Tuesday night. More on that coming up, plus your

post game box score and Clippers Talk. You're listening to the Los Angeles Clippers Audio Network. LA Clippers Basketball is on the two one three Era continues. You're listening to the LA Clippers on the LA Clippers Audio Network. The Charlotte Hornets hit twenty three three pointers and lost as deer Los Angeles Clippers would win in Charlotte one thirty to one eighteen. A Madam Moslin, this is your

Clippers postgame locker room show coming up on the Patriot Am eleven fifty. We'll have Clippers Talk eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty. After Paul George when first season high forty one points and eighty three pointers forty one on twenty one shots, showing up and showing out against his protege in Brandon Miller, he called Paul George his Goat. He's modeled his game after him. He was strong with it too, twenty

two points. Miles Bridges had thirty three, and they had twenty three made three pointers and some really tough shots late in the ball game in the fourth quarter when they would not go away. The Clippers led by nineteen Earlier in that fourth it was down to six points. Kawhi Leonard with a couple of silencer buckets Paul George would get to the free throw line and put the icing on the cake. Late beats the zubotch a season high at twenty four points

plus twelve boards. And I thought Russell Westbrook up and down a little bit, but overall one of his better games, his fourth since returning from the left of the broken left hands. He had eleven points, four assists. They'd have three turnovers, but four to six shooting or four to six from the field. A better game from him. A player to watch. Norn Powell, a couple of big ones in that fourth quarter. You finished with

sixteen points. People should be paying attention to him. That should be your sixth Man of the Year winner, or at least a guy who's top three voting Wise. Clippers win one thirty to one eighteen. They're three and oh on this four game road trip. They'll be in Sacramento Tuesday night. Tiptime is at six against the Kings. We'll have your pregame show starting at six.

I should say tiptime will be at seven outside of Los Angeles. We are leaving you until then, but coming up next on the Patriot Am eleven fifty, we have Clippersock. This has been LA Clippers basketball really good on multitude of levels. Don't miss a moment all season long on their official home. Join us next time on the LA Clippers Audio Network. They were in attack mode, Adam Osley, I don't know what's worse the band good Charlotte or how good the Charlotte Hornets were from three in this ball game, and yet the Clippers survive. Charlotte ties a season high with twenty three May three pointers, and the

Clippers still win one thirty to one eighteen in Charlotte over the Hornets. Welcome into Clippers Talk. I'm Adam Oslin to each seven seven five two zero eleven fifties of the full number eight seven seven five to zero eleven fifty or get to me at follow Adam x follow. I had him a on x at fall out of Max as my burner, and I don't know if you want to check that one out. So coming up on the show, Chuck Maker

will be here from Clips and Dip at Clippers Pod on x Well. Also here from Paul George, who had a season high forty one points against Brandon Miller. Those two were going back and forth in the first quarter and then PG thirteen just pulled away. He had seventeen points in the second quarter alone, had a season high eight made three pointers and was showing the young rook who models his game after him, how it's done in Brandon Miller, who

played well too. Where's PG thirteen's old jersey twenty four? They exchanged them afterwards. Again, we'll hear from Paul George postgame, Big Zoo post game and coach lou Here. Paul George was outstanding, to say the least. The Clippers had a twelve point lead at the half, mostly due to him, But then Charlotte Hornets just refused to go away. They were down by nineteen. Early in the fourth I thought the Clippers were about to run away

with it. They got off to a good start in that fourth quarter, something we haven't been able to say a lot. I was impressed with our first couple of minutes. It was a Russ layup after a steal off, a nice feed from Paul George. Another steal from Russ, but then he would miss the layup. Then a PG wide open three pointer made norm a tough jumper over Brandon Miller, a PG layup after a nice contest by James Harden on the other end. Actually, and the Clippers were up nineteen.

I thought that was it. Clippers are gonna put them away. And then Tobbs Berton's with a couple of three pointers. All of a sudden, it's a twelve point game, then it's a nine point game. Paul George would get a bucket out of a timeout, but the Hornets just did not go away. They did not go quietly into the night. I was kind of impressed by it. Some of it was just ridiculously hot shooting that there's nothing

you can do about. Some of it was bad defense by the Clippers getting a little bit lacks of days ago, falling back into some of those bad habits we've seen when their offense is really humming or buzzing in Charlotte. In this case, they let up on the defensive end. Some threes were contested, some were not. The problem is when you let a team step into some three pointers early on, they find a rhythm and then when you put a hand up, it doesn't even matter. And that's how Charlotte ended up

with twenty three may to three pointers. Credit to them, they did not give in like I thought they were going to down nineteen early in the fourth quarter. Miles Bridges had a huge game himself with thirty three. Brandon Miller had twenty two. I said I would have taken Scoot Henderson over him if I was Charlotte because of the unknown with Flamelo Ball in his injury history. I know they looked at it as well. Position of need at the forward

spot with Brandon Miller makes more sense and right now. It looks like the better player early on, but it is still very early. And he's a three level score. And Paul George is the prototype. Everybody models their game after him. He's the archetype for the type of player you want in today's

league. A guy with length, I can shoot it from the outside, get to his spots, shoot over the top of you in the mid range, get to the basket with some bounce and some pop. And I've noticed that a lot with Paul George. In the month of March, guys, he's really turned things around. There was some concern because he was in an extended slump for not just a month, but about two months a basketball where he didn't look like himself from pretty much the midway point of January through February.

But in the month of March, coming into this ballgame, he was getting twenty three per game on fifty one percent shooting and forty five percent from three. After shooting forty percent from three and forty one percent from the field in February and just getting eight team once per game, it wasn't playing like an All Star. I guess he's healthy now. He talked about it, said he had left knees soreness said he had a groin injury. He looks

to have turned a corner the right time. Eight games remaining in the regular season, believe it or not, one more on this road trip in Sacramento Tuesday night, and Paul George is right back to where he was when the Clippers were playing great basketball, when they went twenty six and five over a thirty one game stretch. So we're finding some things out about this ball club. I think the biggest takeaway is PG thirteen and Kawhi Leonard right now are

moving fabulously. You want to bottle up this level of athletticism, I should say, and put him in a first round series. Right now, they look that good. Still eight games to go, still work to be done in the standings, because currently after Denver won in Cleveland or no, they won that game at home over the Cavaliers earlier today, well they're still in the three spot. But they're right there jogging for position, trying to get

the number one seed held by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Currently Okay, Sea's right behind them, then Denver, then the Clippers. They can't get a top three seed. That ship has sailed, so to speak. What they can do is still have home court in the first round. You need that. They improved to being two games up on the New Orleans Pelicans now Clippers forty seven and twenty seven, New Orleans forty five and twenty nine in the five

spot. But uh dun dun du. The Dallas Mavericks are just a half game behind the Pelicans, so just two and a half behind the Clippers. They're nine and one in their last ten games. Do you want to see Luka Dancic with Kyrie Irving in a first round series? Again? They've outdueled Luka Doncis twice. It's been Kawhi Leonard. That game six is an all timer, the forty five he had on the road and a must win situation back in twenty twenty one. I don't know if you want to see him

a third time. But I don't know if you want to see Zion Williamson either there's no good option lesser or two evils. I go back and forth. I watched the Pelicans the other night against the Milwaukee Bucks and Zion just bullying Giannis Is then a Koompo and Brook Lopez if they can't slow him down, and we know what the Pelicans have been able to do to the Clippers over the last couple of seasons. Even in games without him, they've had

problems. There's something I want to say. One in eight in their last nine games against the Pels. Do you want them? Do you want Dallas? I'm interested because I could be swung either way. I could be talked into either opponent. They're both that close. The Phoenix Suns they're lagging behind. They're now three games behind the Clippers in that seventh spot, the Kings three and a half games behind them, and the eighth spot. Clippers again

will be in Sacramento Tuesday night. Lakers behind them, Golden State behind them, trying to hold onto the ten spot as the Houston Rockets have won eleven in a row since when since the Clippers came back on them down twenty in Houston a few weeks ago. It seemed to get their attention. They're playing great. Jalen Green, my guy, I said, take them over.

Kate Cunningham, I would have feel good about that right now, But feeling solid about this Clippers team overall, would you have liked to have seen them close things out with one more run up nineteen to get up twenty five and to put your foot on the throat or on the stinger of the Hornets. Yeah, but I almost like being tested late in games, being more battle tested in those situations. There's a line from Brian Seeman, I don't want to butcher it. I of have to ask him about it at some point.

But you know, blowout wins kind of leave it fat and happy. But close games where you really gotta compete late they prepare you better for the playoffs. Now. I know Charlotte is not a playoff or playing team. They have won eighteen games, but still the Clippers the last three games now have had to come through. Not as close. In this one. They weren't down five under five minutes left like in Orlando or in Philadelphia, but

it was a six point game with about four minutes left. Charlotte went god Moode from the outside just refused to miss everything, which happens sometimes in this league. Now with how skilled guys are shooting the basketball, put a hand in their face, they look right through it. Even a team like the Charlotte Hornets. We talked about a pregame with Carlo Jimenez. He brought it

up. It was a great point, ended up being prophetic. The dangerous part about the Hornets is they have guys who are capable from three if they get hot. Well, it happened. I don't think he spoke it into existence. I think those guys just showed up. They had hit twenty three

three pointers in a game against the Phoenix Suns of this season two. Everybody thinks it's their team that always gets bit by guys who are role players or lesser players or lesser teams, and they're the team that always lays down, and somehow the law of averages playing their favor and you get these outlier performances. Certainly they have happened against the Clippers. It may have happened today. But Brandon Miller getting twenty two, uh, well, he's had twenty or

more in four of his last six games. Now likely going to be player Rookie of the Month between him and Wemby per usual. But I give credit to the Charlotte Hornets for not laying down late, and I give credit to the Clippers for showing enough poise when they need it when the game got a

little bit Dicey Kawhi Leonard a big three Kawhi Leonard. A big floater seems to be a consistent theme lately against Philly late, the en Ones a jumper over Jalen Suggs late in Orlando, and now when it was one twenty one thirteen with two twenty two left after Berton's hit another three, Kawhi Leonard studying the ship, mister reliable, that calming force got a floater to go. Then a Visa Zubats got on the block. They had to foul him. And how about my guy big Zoo. You know, we'll play some audio

from him in Carlo post game. But if eatsa Zubots, she's in high twenty four points, twelve boards. I'll tell you the rest. After we paused ten seconds for station identification. Here on the Patriot AM eleven fifty, this is La Clippers Basketball AM eleven fifty k Ev Los Angeles about an iHeartRadio

station. I have been screaming like a madman that Iviatza Zubas needs the ball more, that he needs to be featured more, that he can't get up just one shot attempt in a ballgame, which did happened recently in a game against the Atlanta Hawks that the Clippers lost at home a couple of weeks ago.

That's nasty. That is not a formula for success. You want your rim protector and a top three rim protector in the league to be able to hold things down when guys miscoverages, to make up for others' mistakes when they get beat off the dribble, to come over with that help defense, to readirect shots and block them. You need to feed him on the other end, please, because I think he's more than capable. Case in point here, he was postgame with Carlo Jmenez, who asked him the right question regarding

just how good he's been with that right handed hook shot. How have you become so efficient with with that shot? Feels like every time I always been. That's that's that's been my shot my whole my whole career. Way before NBA, I was playing a lot in the post, and uh took me a while to show that. Uh. You know I can, Uh I can play in a post that can go to me in a in a post.

You know, so teammates and coaches can trust men. I feel like once I get a ball in a post, if I get to my hooks right hook, even left hook, I feel like I'm you know, it's going in. I got, I got a lot of confidence and that shot and uh, I don't think there's many people who can uh compare to that right hook. So avizazbots right before that, Carlo let him know and maybe we have this too. Can we go a little bit before, can we

go way back in time? We're the wind chimes. We Uh, Carlo had the stat I want to give him the credit here and also the response by Vita zoo Bots finding out just how amazing he's been with right in his hook shots as in best in the league. Listen to this. Took me

a little bit to get my rhythm back. But uh, just extra refs, you know, staying after practice, after shoot around, uh, working on pick and rolls, working on reading different coverages, they guard us, being smart about duck in small guys and one day late switch and uh, you know, just being patient with it. I know I'm the I'm the most of the nights, I'm the biggest guy out there, so overall the ball and being in my shots, just two more for you, Zoo,

But I want to ask about the righty hook shot. You're first in the NBA by seven on that shot. It seems good, nearly seventy percent for the field. Really, how how have you become so efficient with that shot? Feels like every time been always been. That's that's let's that's been my shot, my whole my whole career playing a lot in the post, and took me a while to show that. You know, I can I can

play in a post, that can go to me in a post. You know so, teammates and all right, you heard that part, you heard the whole answer. This is who he is. When I have said for years, she's the long lost assault brother, I wasn't kidding. I know he's not Spanish Croatian, but damn it, he's skilled on the block. He said in himself, this is who I've been. What's hard to understand

about. Let's see a team that struggles to score points in the paint, that doesn't get enough easy shots, and oh guess what, they have a guy who on right handed hook shots is leading the league in field goal percentage by seven percent to the next closest guy. Maybe just maybe get him a few more touches, please, he deserves it. He's been doing the dirty work for too long. Make him feel a part of the offense. Now.

It's been a pet peeve of mine for months. If you listen to this show, you know that I am Big Zoo's number one defender and apologist. But there's nothing to apologize for. Guy's been a stud. He is their fourth most important player on this team at worst. Facts, Morris and Englewood, you're on Clipper stop without a mauzld. Hey Morris, my guy, he used to be uh in Long Beach. Maybe he's driving back. Maybe I should have screened it better. Maybe chel Zooma should get the basketball

a little bit more. I know James Naismith, but I know a few things here and there. Sure seems like their offense works like a well oiled machine when he's getting the basketball with the starters next to him. I'm not talking about just him with second units. I'm saying I don't care if Kawhi and Paul George and James Harden are on the floor with him. He still has to get the basketball and get looks. All right, I think I made my case more Clippers stock. Next here on the Patriot Amalem fifty every

Clipper game all season. Law they didn't stop playing hard you're listening to the La Clippers audio network. I'm streaming on the iHeartRadio WIP. Clippers got busy and Charlotte against the Hornets. They withstood twenty three three pointers made by the Hornets and they win one thirty to one eighteen thanks to forty one from Paul George Kawhi At twenty three vitsa Zooba said season hide twenty four, Clippers would win by twelve. Let's try this one more time. Morrison, long Beach.

You're on, Clippers, stop with that. A Mouslin's here on the patriodam eleven fifty Morris Hi, pack it in, pack it in. Let me begin, Clippers gotta win. Gonna tell all my friends another work to be momento. We're playing a Sacramento now. Everybody jumping up and down there we are screaming. Here we go. Job job, chub You know something out of you. You're a good You observe basketball, real good. Zubac

looked like Moses Malone in the first quarter. And I'm gonna tell you something, even though you might be surrounded by all stars, you gotta go to the heart. You gotta go into the paint. And I like Zubox. He's a humble man. I'm glad they had that interview because he's so humble. He lets you know, y'all get me the ball in the paint. Man, I'm dangerous. What's going on? I've been like that my whole life, right on. But you know, when you got a guy like

Kawhi on your team and Paul Joy he had forty one then. But when't needs move a guy like I did hard and coming up it, you know, you gotta keep your head down, you know what I'm saying. But he lets you know, hey, man, you get me the ball in the paint. And I'm dangerous. Now that's a statement in the NBA. And by by the way, if the Clippers could lose to Atlanta at home, they could also lost to the Hornets on the road. So in the NBA, if you get you when you're going to take that win, you

keep on rolling at him. So I'll feel sracumental. Well, behave yourself, pack it up, Thank you more soon, long beach. Now, Englewood mentioned it is miss what's up? How do you want to have a happy Easter? You and everybody out there happy? I said, I'm following a rapper. There's no way I can top that. But nice little joy Paul George, really he's got such a shy I think he could score sixty points. But we look at little good. We have a lot of good

players. I didn't want to be dangerous and and come playoffs, and I kind of that kind reminds me of Bill want kind of reading the book on each Maybe be the next Bill. Just stay healthy and it'd be around it sat dangerous? Uh front would you say? Uh? Yeah, I would say that, Mitch. I appreciate the phone call. So what we've gotten Bill Walton in here? We've gotten Moses Malone in here? Uh? Who else Kevin McHale were gonna talk about tonight? And who else were going to

talk about? Some former bigs of this league? All right? Zuel Sinder was present and has been for some time now. For some time now, I have been singing his praises and telling any Clipper fan that, for whatever reason, there's a faction of fans that think, oh, he just fumbles the ball all the time, because he did when he had broken hands a couple of years ago and played through it, and they held that against him, and that stigma has not been lifted. Should be. He's a made

man. I said it during the Clippers run, when they were rolling, when they had won twenty six or thirty one games. Best they ever looked, best of you Zobos was ever that ever looked, was averaging thirty and ten per ball game. Was being rewarded for everything he does defensively, was being involved on offense, was being used like the weapon that he is. Keith in La, You're on Clipper stock without Amazon. Hi, Keith, Adam, dear brother. Considering what today is, I want to say,

happy resurrection Sunday if it applies. Man, especially with the name like Adam, that's a that's a that's a wonderful connection. You know what I'm saying. I'm not that old. I wasn't even the first born in my family, but I still got Adam. Yeah, what's up? Keith still got that? All right? Well, mag you first of all, shout out to your DJ. You told me his name once before. But man, he played one of the great funk classics more bounced for the bounced by the

great Roger Troutman. And I'm old school kind of guy, so I want to say hatch off to him. Thank you. They definitely scratched it. And the third win, I'll take it. Zoobox, You're right. You know what I'm siper. You know what I mean. I can tie into what you're saying, Adam Zoo boxing. That's our missing twelve to fifteen points, yes, yeah, yeah and almost and the last thing that's our missing, that's our w I'm gonna say that. I don't think me sacrilegious.

I went on the Celtics, give me out, and now Clipper Nation in Adam hold on the Celtics and the Nuggets stat page like the roster and all that, and I'm looking at them and I'm like, we can take them, you know, NBA dot Com whatever, Celtics or Nuggets or whatever. I'm like, hey, yeah, much respect to yo kitchen on. I'm looking for it to Thursday night, the way Zoo played the night, the way Peg played tonight. Much respect to Tuesday. Now. You know what

I'm saying. I take an ethogranted, but I am saying, Celtics, Nuggets, bring them on. We can do this. Man. I heal the mic bro keeth. I like the confidence. Yeah, We're looking forward to that game against the Denver Nuggets. Also next Thursday. That's when the Clippers return home. But they got work to do in Zacktown and the Kings are desperate for a victory. Speaking of victories, the Dallas Mavericks just one in Houston, one twenty five to one oh seven, and Luka Dancis dropped

forty seven. Took them thirty shots to get there, but still he had forty seven. He hit nine three pointers. That means the Dallas Mavericks are tied with the Pelicans right now. That means, uh, we're getting closer to Round three between the Clippers and Maps in a first round series. And they don't just have Luca now, they have Kyrie Irving, bigger poison.

Though, what are you gonna do? It's here that are the Pelicans who are the more balanced team Dallas. You can at least make the argument they're a bottom ten defense, but their offense. God teer, We'll take a quick time out. We'll come back well, hear from Paul George postgame. We'll off Chuck maclaron from clips and dip as the Clippers win in Charlotte one thirty to one eighteen over the Hornets. I'm out of Moslin and this is the Patriot AM eleven fifty, Big Zoo. Every Clipper game all season,

law they didn't stop playing hard. You're listening to the La Clippers Audio Network. I'm streaming on the iHeartRadio LAP all right, p Nipsey Hustle on the anniversary of his death, Clippers win in Charlotte one thirty to one eighteen over the Hornets. I'm out of Oslin. Welcome back in. This is Clippers talk here on the Patriot AM eleven fifty when the Dodgers are on a five

seventy. This is where we will be coming up. You're gonna hear from Paul George postgame after he dropped forty one, his season high on the Hornets. But first join the show is Chuck Mockler from Clips and Dip for a little Clips and Double Dip. So, uh, Chuck, were you more impressed with Paul George and what he was able to do or did you see warning signs? Because the Clippers weren't able to close out the Charlotte Hornets at

least in impressive fashion after being up nineteen in the fourth quarter. Charlotte just wouldn't miss I think right now, I have to be more excited about Paul George's forty one right, he looked aggressive, and he was aggressive after he had a slow start, which is really encouraging. I do agree there were some signs maybe that still need to get fixed, but that's part of his brutal schedule. Right Like, they ended this month strong, so hopefully it

continues against the depleted games. Clippers went ten and seven during March Madness, the odds of March. They finished with a winning record. They win by twelve in Charlotte over the Hornets. Now, Chuck, there's been a guy who's been carrying the flag for Big Zoo for some time and asking the Clippers to get him to basketball a little bit more. Now a lot of people are saying the same. He had twenty four and twelve season high twenty four

points, I should say, seven of eight shooting. Sure seems like there's another way to win ball games that's a lot more efficient and a lot easier. And that points on the paint problem the Clippers have had. He can rectify some of that. I don't know, It just seems like if he'sa zoobots might want to get the basketball a little bit more. I mean, I totally agree with you that first quarter from Zoo was maybe the best first

quarter we've seen from him all year. He looked a lot more confident with the ball in his hands, fun into a bucket, which I think was his most impressive move offensively tonight. But you're right, and maybe this is the Clippers going back to things that were more successful earlier in the year. Right when Zoo was closing and look at were constant on the floor, the offense was, you know, using that picking roll a lot more. So maybe they are just trending back to, you know, the good mean that

we saw earlier this season. It was Kawhi Leonard taking him home a little bit late. Paul George obviously with some runs, silencing shots too. But when it got close, when it was down to six or seven points, Kawhi Leonard hit a three pointer, then he got a floater to go. It's the third straight game where he has showed up big late in the fourth quarter. It seems like he's trending in the right direction to be ready for playoff. Activated Kawhi Leonard here, chuck uh. Yeah, He's been absolutely

unbelievable on this road trip. I still keep replaying those two and ones he had against the seventy six ers because they were just like the epitome of gritty, and you do feel confident when he's playing like this, right, Will Updyke said it on our pod what two episodes ago. We are just one in saying Kawhi Leonard run away from another Western Conference finals. It looks like

Paul George is hitting the upswing two. Hopefully Harden's finger situation isn't so bad that he can't, you know, catch some of this momentum as well. What did you hear on Bally regarding the finger It happened at practice earlier today where he had that little splint on it. We know he's been dealing with the shoulder injury, but he didn't even want to take shots in this game. Yeah, they said, I believe they said it happened to shoot around.

He was just, you know, he mishandled a pass or something like that and it just jammed up on him. But yeah, seeing the splint wasn't super encouraging. I think he fired off three right as the second half started in this one, so that was kind of nice to see. I guess maybe him just testing it out. But thankfully the passing was still there. But yeah, hopefully it doesn't become anything too crazy. I don't think it will. No one seemed too concerned based on what you know the broadcast

was landing on. So I have good news and bad news here. The team right behind the Clippers now they do have the tiebreaker against, but that team is the Dallas Mavericks. They are currently in the five spot after Luga dropped forty seven and gave Houston their first loss in what three weeks since the Clippers last beat them. They hadn't lost, They had won eleven in a row. Dallas Clippers. Is it destiny, Chuck? Is it gonna be

round three? I don't know if it's I don't know if destiny is the word I would use if the Clippers end up playing the Mavericks, you know, for the third time. But I mean, I don't know. This could go either way. Tomorrow. I could wake up and be absolutely terrified of this matchup, or I could kind of feel like I do now, which is on? It seems like it does match up well for the Clippers.

They do have history on their side, at least when it comes to you know, Kawhi Leonard being elite offensively and defensively, something that you know, the maps maybe don't have them there making the superstars. So I don't know, man, it's definitely nervous making even if you are confident about the matchup. Yeah, I'm with you on that. I mean, obviously they have big, gaping flaws, you could say, because they're a bottom ten

defense on the season. Of course, the Clippers aren't that far from that right now after the dip they've had the last couple of months. But I would feel much more confident matchup wise with them. Defensively, however, it's Kyrie Irving now there too. You can pick on them on the other end, of course, but Kyrie Irving is going to make some of the most

impossible shots, just like Luka Doncic. I mean he already did one time this season against Kawhi Leonard where you had the block and then pulled it back and got the lay up to go. It was just insane. I don't know. I'm talking myself in to Dallas, and then I'm going back to

saying no, maybe it should be the New Orleans Pelicans. Maybe that would be easier for the Clippers, But right now it's about that good process for the Slippers team, and they still need to win ball games, right, one hundred percent, they are trending up right that we are on a bit of an upswing. We've seen longer periods of you know, being locked in on defense and getting paint touches, which is another sign of effort on the

offensive end. So they play, you know, a short handed Kings team, and then they play I believe the game after that is the Nuggets. So that game against the Nuggets is going to be a nice you know, we're going to learn a lot about that team. Yet again, uh, with that that matchup looming, that'll be on Thursday when the Clippers are return home to Crypto after hopefully sweeping this four game road trip. But the Kings game is not going to be easy on Tuesday night. They're desperate for a

victory. They are battling right now with a couple of guys going down. He is Chuck Mockler of Clips and Dip. Charles, Thanks for joining me here for a little clips and double dip on clip stop my friend, Hey, thanks for having me. Let's go clip coming up next? Well, here from PG thirteen post game after he had forty one against the Charlotte Hornets and the Clippers win one thirty to one eighteen. I'm out of Moslin and this is the Patriot AM fifty. LA Clippers basketball is on the two one

three Era continues. You're listening to the LA Clippers on the LA Clippers Audio Network. Clippers win in Charlotte thanks a forty one from Paul George. They absorb twenty three main three pointers by the Charlotte Hornets. Let's hear from PG thirteen post game. He was on Balley Sports with Christina pink outdueled the rookie in Brandon Miller, who is looking to Paul George for a little bit of a leadership. That's the guy that he has looked up to, Paul George,

that's his guy. That's his idol. When your idol becomes your rival, all right, here was Speaky thirteen with Christina pink Brian, he's got a towel out here for a second PG putting in work tonight. Paul, You know this Hornets team kind of hung around here. But what did you like about the way you guys answered in the closing minutes? I mean, it was a pretty pretty team. They played hard. We gotta get better. We gotta get better defensively. But it's a good win, you know,

keeping a streak on the road alive, and we'll take that. Well, the streak lives on and a forty piece for you tonight. Season high per points, season high for three pointers. What opened up for you out here on the court. I mean, I just, you know, tried to play with face. I had a rough shooting night in Orlando. I tried to come out here with a better rhythm. I was able to find a rhythm, and I mean, honestly, I just kept it going.

It felt good from jump. I had a couple you know, tough looks early on, but after I see him one go down, I was kind of, you know, in my zone at that moment. And that's exactly what the night was. It was just one of those own games. We saw the Jersey exchange with you and Brandon Miller before the game. He told me it's a dream come true to share the court finally with his favorite player. What does it mean to you to have so many guys in the league

right now that idolize you. I mean, it's a blessing. I mean it's an honor. I come out here, and you know, I try to do my best. I try to play my hardest, and I try to just represent for the name on my back, and you know, it's it's a blessing that kids, you know, love the way that I played the game, and you know, I try to come out and play the

right way. And I had a ton of influence growing up on how my style is, and so it's awesome to be able to showcase it on the floor on a big stage, and you know, for the young and the next generation to kind of pick up on it and love my game. So honestly, it's a blessing. Favorite yep, quick cut off there, there's a ballet sports and Christina Pink there with PG thirteen. Paul George forty one points. More importantly, he's just moving like himself, looks like Paul George

in front of Brandon Miller. He got to see in person his guy, his idol go off like that and have his best scoring game of the season. I couldn't be more encouraged by the way Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are looking down the stretch here when everybody was saying, oh, they look tired, they look gassed. Do they. They both look really spry right now

with eight games remaining. And by the way, if you're not in the plan, you got at least five days off before that first round matchup, whether it be against the Pelicans or the Dallas Mavericks, now which the Clippers are currently locked up against. All right, before we get out of here, let's get to casual Katie's corner. Ever so quickly, when our producer Katie Newton asked me random questions about the NBA and other stuff. Hy, Katie, No, today's not the NBA, it's the other stuff. There

is a correct answer to this. What is the best Easter candy? Cadbury eggs, cream eggs, not the Carmel won the cream one. I just threw you for a loop. Yeah, no, I was gonna say it's always it's the Reese's eggs, but you know, well those are just the best. Yeah, I mean that's kind of a given. Your answer is also correct. All right, thank you. I don't think I've ever had one. We'll call it a push. Clippers win went thirty to one eighteen

and Charlotte over the Hornets. Their next game is in Sacramento Tuesday night. Tiptime at seven, pregame at six. Before you get out of here, I do want to thank Ralph Lawler, Brian Seeman, know what ego, Carlo Jmenez on the call, the callers, the listeners, big Brother Jake Warner. Until Tuesday at six, I'm me and a Manslim. We will talk to you then. Ma WHI was doing his thing. All they want to do is win in La. I win. I thought they gave everything

they had. I'm proud of. This has been Clippers Talk, the official postgame reaction of the LA Clippers. God bless Paul, George you it's just changed. Don't miss an episode all season.
