Not just great for him, great for anyone. He is doing historic stuff right now. He has been so good at him sixteen shots to get to thirty six points. That is absurd. That is absurd. The claw has been so good. He's playing at another level right now.
Everything he does is the right play. Every shoot he shoots, every shot he shoots is the right shot, Every pass is the perfect pass. I mean, he just makes the perfect play every single time and does it on the defensive end. For this Clippers team, He's really sending the tone for There's a lot of talk right about needing to take the regular season a little
more seriously is something that was talked about around this Clippers team. Kawhi is taking every game so seriously, and his teammates are following in order and doing exactly what he's doing on every play. It feels it's not just games but possessions. Right now, everything by this Clippers team just seems to be at an all time level. They are completely locked in and focused on offense, on defense. Shots are falling from the outside, they go sixteen to thirty
three from distance, end up shooting fifty seven percent from the floors. Kawhi was at seventy five percent by himself, but the James Hardened effect in twenty eight minutes, ten points but twelve assists to one turnover, tell me it's not working. I mean, what's unbelievable, Adam. Is this a guy who could easily walk in here tonight and score thirty points and have fifteen assists.
But that's not what they needed. They needed him to be a distributor tonight with PG back on the floor, and that's what he delivered with those twelve assists. Back to back double doubles for the first time this season for James Harden and the minutes are what I love looking at this box score thirty for Kawhi, thirty one for PG, twenty eight for James. Guys didn't put heavy minutes on their legs, and with a grueling road trip coming up,

all twenty five games so far this season. The Clippers are now fifteen to ten. They have dug out of losing six in a row and now they've won seven. This is one of the most impressive stretches of Clippers basketball in the two to one to three era. They're not just winning, they're dominating, and they're doing it over great competition. That's what's so impressive the Knicks tonight, the Warriors, the last two, the Denver Nuggets, a team
they couldn't beat at beating the mate straight, the Kings twice. This Clippers team, being led by Kawhi, is looking like a contender again. And it's no coincidence that it's happened since they brought in James Harden, who a lot of people were either indecisive about are unsure of. All this is four team last three years. Well, guess what, the fit's perfect, Just like many of us that it would be. He and I said this from day one will unlock the best version of two to one three. And wouldn't
you know, Kawhi Leonard looks better than ever. Thirty six points on sixteen shots tonight, five of six from the outside. But the defense to on Julius Randall, He's doing it all to be this efficient while giving that effort and that level of elite defense on the other end is absurd. Love seeing that there was a timeout in between, and it looked like he made the adjustment. Avitza zubats thirteen and eleven, basically what he's been averaging over the last fifteen games since they went to the new starting lineup. But James Harden a system, thus system,
whatever you want to say. He's a connector. He's doing whatever is asked and whatever is needed. Paul George is out cool. I'll get twenty eight fifteen, seven boards, four blocks, a stat line that's only been put up once by Lebron James in twenty ten, all while getting the twenty five thousand career points. Did that Thursday tonight twelve assists, just two of six shooting. He took six shots. Do you understand the level of sacrifice
here? This guy used to average twenty five shot attempts with Houston. Literally that sounds like a gross exaggeration or some extreme point. No, he literally did this. Clippers team is rolling, the defense is leading to offense. Clippers had twenty fast break points and all the pieces are fitting give coach lou all the love deserves it. He said himself, this'll be his toughest coaching
job. You got four stars, guys who have won MVPs to get them all to buy in, and Russ coming off the bench and sacrificing like this. He had a put back on a missing traffic to start. He saved a ball from going out of bounds to PG for a layup at the end of the third, and then he had a couple of bad takes I didn't like in the third quarter, but then he went right to the rim,
bodied Brunson into the third, and then once more in the fourth. Then a steal guy to PG and Transition who looked like he was losing the basketball and somehow got it in on the layup. Anyways, a great feed to Tice who missed the gimme, and then Russ taffed it in. He's becoming that hard and hustle, energy spark plug guy off the bench, a sixth man. He's adjusting his game. He and James Harden, both of them
playing completely different than they have throughout their entire careers. They're sacrificing. They see the goal they want to win. A championship as Clippers back in so Cow. This is special. It's one thing to talk about it buying in sacrificing, it's another through your actions. Russell Westbrook played just fifteen minutes. Did he look dis Gruntold's sideline cheering on his guys. No, and this role suits him. He comes off the bench, shot out of a cannon.
Love the way he's playing, Love the way Daniel Tyson is playing. He was matching Hartenstein. That was a great Mortal Kombat like mirror match. Those two have similar skills. They were battling, and this was a game that almost had some playoff like vibes. There was an edge and attitude out there. After Big Zoo in the first quarter dunked on Jericho Sims. The walls of Jericho came falling down. It looked like it got testy. Julius
Randall got into it with Terrence Man, got a tech Kawhi. Leonard would hit the free throw and then go right back at Julius Randall the very next possession for an and one. Josh Hart got ejected. In the first half. You got two tea's like nothing. This was old school blood in the garden like attitude from the Knicks. I like it. It raised the level of play I think from the Clippers. They met them emotionally out there.
The competitive juices were flowing. And this Clippers team, it's twelve and three in their last fifteen games with the new starting lineup, and Kawhi Leonard looks like the best player in the NBA right now, best player of December so far. Christmas came early, I guess. I hope he keeps it going. As long as he's moving like this, that's all that matters. That's everything, that's what gives them a chance to win the championship. Kauhi is
your number one option. Everybody else falls in line, and this guy looks as laser focused as I have ever seen him. They're not taking games off, they're not taking possessions off. And so to all the media out there, to all the sports media that said this guy is garbage and this and that, you getting a chance to see this guy at a serious, elite playing talent right now. I'm very excited about the Clippers. I know I'm not going to go on and limb. I know they're going
on the road. I will pick our team on the road going against Indiana, and Indiana has been playing up and down, but again it's still dangerous at home. And then you got OKC who actually beat dinvererenth Night came back and then we got a tough Dallas team. But I'll tell you this, R three with hardin A Kawhi, Leonard, Paul, George Zubat if Terence's man starting five, hyl have figured it out. I like this team. Our only problem has been availability. When they are available, look out.
I like them in the West. I don't care who's in the West or in the East. If this team played the way they've been playing and they're available at the end, I like the Clippers to pick up the ring in the new arena this upcoming season. I love it. I love the energy. It was just a lot of going on, a lot of emotions and now calling you back right seven games in a row, You're like, whoa, this
is happening. And I just wanted to bring some point off, like you said, being in the arena, just like the chemistry going at a good parents man dabbing each other. Everybody was like super stoke, super excited. It was amazing to see leaving. The last game I went to was a Denver game, and this is the second game like night, and so I can tell you're excited. I appreciate the phone call. Bo. There's a
lot to be excited about with this team. But this new starting lineup with fourteen games together, because remember Paul George wasn't there Thursday night, They're shooting fifty three percent from the floor and forty three percent from the outside with James Harden next to Terrence Man with two, one three in a beats to Zubots. They have been extraordinary and Terrence Man is just coming around offensively. I'm telling you this guy who battled for a board in the second half and then
put it back in. When he starts knocking down three, it's like he's capable of and tonight was a good sign two or four from the outside. It's just gonna make him even better. And they haven't even spammed the starting lineup two more much or overwork guys or played them too much. But it's there when they need it. And then, oh you need more offense, Norram pollin for Terrence Man. With the other four, it's been beautiful. Let's go Lenny and Inglewood. Lenny, you're on a gloper. So with
that, I'm also what's up? What's up? Adam? Now just bear with me for a minute, man, because I'm gonna say some things But that's a great point Demetris made about Kawhi doing what Jordan did when he won the defensive because that hasn't been done since Jordan. We won the m v P and BEFO. He's right, He's right. This dude is has like you said, he's shutting down pick and rolls. He's holding Steph Curry, he's holding the kid from Denver out standing. He's doing Jeordian type stuff.
Well let me say this, man. Last year, I remember I was on you when I said that they weren't playing with a chip and they and you were like, we got time, we got time. And guess what they're playing with a chip this year. And I said another thing. I said, nobody's scared of us. But this this team and the dude, the Vincenzo after he hit his four to three, he wasn't even celebrated. They were scared, man, because guess what they know. It's not enough.
It's not enough because they're older team and opposing coaches are telling their team we got to get them early. We got to get them early, because that was always the knock against the starting out is that we would get down early. But now we're not getting down early. We're coming out ready and now we get that. You know, when you work out, you get it takes you like twelve fifty to get that lather going. That's what we need. We need twelve minutes to get that lather going. And when we
get that ladder going, we're good. The muscles are relaxed, and we're good. And Harden, I mean, at this point, man, he's got a home. And if if Clipper Nations needs to put together a go fund Me account to get some of his his favorite ladies from them clubs in Houston, Steve Bomini's arranged that because he needs we need to give all the creature comforts that he needs in La because he's got a home. Man,
you cannot be yeah, right, but check it out. You cannot be a West Coast team and not have a point guard who can who can create separation and nail that three in the fourth quarter. It just ain't happened, Captain, it just ain't gonna happen. And Harden, there was a point in the third quarter when when Nick thought they were wood us, and they
were, and then and then they started knocking down them threes. They started knocking them down It's amazing to me how many people devalued shooting at the point guard position. And I'm not trying to make it a Russ versus hardened thing. It's working. But the reason, yes, if I don't know how
you couldn't see that, Hay, it hurts your floor spacing. When you have a non shooter out there, you already have one of the Viasa zoobots with the starters, when you have two with Russell Westbrook, that just makes things so much more difficult for Kawhi and Paul George. And now we're seeing the floor being open and Kawhi just getting to his spots. They're playing less iso ball with James Harden. Yes, yes, And like I said, man, now's his other thing. I'm still out here. People start their
morning, they go to Starbucks. Why Adam to get coffee? Coffee needs to be a starter. I'm telling you, well, no, no, I'm not taking anyone out of the starting lineup. You don't need to be a starter. He just needs to play. Hear me out. This dude is six seven, He can hit. He can hit the like I like. Man, don't get me wrong, Man is the man is? You know? Keep the kid in the picture. We get it. He keeps what I'm telling you once again, on a on a West Coast contending team,
you we need. Man's got to get his points up. We need twelve to thirteen points in a two guys spot. He's got to get this point they got. Well, here's the thing, Lenny, you have him. He's next to Kawhi, Paul George, and James Harden. How much does he really need to worry about scoring? What he does is guard the other team's best player early on until you sit Kawhi on him late in the fourth quarter. So he's not gassed. Because Terrence Man has taking up that
assignment. They got three elite scorers in the starting lineup. I mean, James Harden's taking six shots and they're winning by twenty two. I'm not worried about Terrence Man. I what he's doing defensively and all the other other little things he does. I think he's perfect for this starting lineup because anybody else might demand more shots, Terrence Man doesn't. He embodies that selflessness too. That's true. That's true. Well, I just hope that they can get
it to the point where Tyler was coaching that all Star Team. Man, he deserves it and the team deserves it. I hope that they can just I'm not scared of nobody on this, on this, on this, on this street game thing. I think that the only thing is that Dallas teams that Dallas. We have a thing that goes back with Dallas. But that was the old, the old squad. I think I think, you know, if we can get two out of three, I think we're good.
But if we can just get to the half the All Star Game and get Tyler with a chance to coach the All Star squad, I think that would just be beautiful. Man. Look I'm I'm with it, Lenny. It looks like when Kawhi and Paul George weren't playing last season, they were hurt, they were out, and then they make them the poster board or poster boys of this new player participation policy, guys who have been legitimately hurt. Kawhi's coming back off a tour ad acl last year, Paul George numerous injuries. If they could have played, they would have played. Now they're healthy.

I know you saw that, and it's just it was just really nice to see because there was sometimes when they looked like they played last year to the level of the competition, and today they just
came out to just really just give them a licking. And I hope it continues. And I'm looking forward to the next four games, especially against Boston, because that's going to really be a proving ground, and I think they can play with anybody this year now, and just to think, what's the difference, why can't they play with they win this year because they Finally they got their continuity, and you still have you know, you're still waiting them

It was just forceful, nasty, and of course he's dead pan, walks back the other way and gets back on defense like nothing happened.
When the entire place got up and the ooze and the os from Clippers fans and Knicks fans in the building after that one, that may have been Kawhi Leonard reintroducing himself to everyone. Mike. He's been doing the last three weeks of just hey, I'm still that guy. This is me, I'm here. But what he's doing right now on both ends, I can't say enough.
