Transcript

Time for a postgame. Look, it's your La Clippers. This is Clippers Locker Room, brought to you by Cedars Sinai, the official health partner of the La Clippers, and by Patschonga, official travel casino of the LA Clippers. Breaking down today's action with the pre and post game voice of You're LA

Clippers. They're locking in every game, every night. Adam Osland the Clippers falling inconsequential Game eighty two contest against the Houston Rockets via final score of one sixteen to one oh five here in their last ever game hosting at Crypto dot Com Arena in the regular season. Welcome into your postgame show, I Madam

Oslin, this is Clippers locker Room keming up. We'll have Clippers stock on the Patriot AM eleven fifty in just a bit if you want to get on early eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty eight seven seven five to two zero eleven fifty. But first we get back over to your radio voice up the Clippers in Carlo Jimenez. Well, well it wasn't uneventful contest, still

a fun, entertaining basketball game that got competitive down the stretch. Here Carlo with Boba Maranovitch making an appearance, getting to work for the Houston Rockets and also getting the Clippers fans some free chicklio. I wasn't sure I was going to do for lunch today, Adam. Now I know what age. That's some bad news for you, my friend. It is Sunday. No, we haven't existed for me, So I'm sorry, I'm sorry. All right, just let it just let it build for tomorrow, okay, and then

you can get all the waffle fries you want day the Polynesian. It is raining outside, so more. What's next? I got good news. The Clippers are hosting the first round against the Dallas Mavericks. Right back here next weekend. How about that? Right back here, Adam? And what should be a fun one? How bound this Dallas Clippers third time in five years? Kawhi leonards Ny probably the biggest conversation. But if he's all good to go. Like Woja's reporting today on ESPN, Adam, he said, everything

should be good for and the Clippers are not worried. I'm not worried for this Clipper team. I feel like it's gonna be gritty. You're not gonna win in four games. But you want to test and battle test your team. I also think, Adam, you've talked about how Dallas is so good defensively and the Clippers. We've seen it this year. When they play good defenses, they lock in defensively, they become a better defense. Ty Luis

talked about it. Two. We'll see if the Clippers can find that defense, because if they played the note the way they can the way they played in Boston right in that game on the road on the second hand of back to back, the Clippers look like the team that no one can stop. We've seen them play up to their competition plenty of times now, even against the Dallas Mavericks this season, where they did win the regular season series two

games to one. Of course, they haven't played yet in twenty t twenty four, which means they haven't taken on this Dallas team that has been reconstructed, that has had a bit of a makeover, that has brought in some guys to help their front line, and obviously defensively, they've been a different team on that end since then. But you gotta feel good about this Clippers team heading into this series with home court advantage against Luka Dancic and this time

around in this building. Remember back in twenty twenty one, there were still COVID restrictions. It was not a full house yet here at Crypto dot Com then Staples Center. So Clipper Nation is going to be here in full force in the building starting against the Dallas Mavericks in round one. You want to hear something why a lot of Murray pointed this out to me at cheer round earlier this week. But this is maybe the first time Adam Kawhi Leonard will

play in front of a full Downtown LA arena. It will be in a playoff setting and a plan say, the first time Kawhi Leonard is going to get to experience the Clippers are going to get to experience Kawhi Leonard in a full Downtown LA. I'm excited because this is a Clipper crown that is shown in big games. They can affect the way they play, They show out, they scream their ruthless at times, which is what you need from your home court crowd. And so I cannot wait for Saturday. This play is

gonna be rocking and we're gonna have some good times. I know we'll be doing a big preview in Game one in the pregame show. But maybe we could drop a few nuggets here of information. Carlow on what Clipper Nation has to look forward to against this Dallas Mavericks team. Maybe not look forward to with how talents that they are and how dangerous they are. But as you've been doing some research on them, of course, a deep dive on the

Dallas Mavericks. What have you uncovered? Yeah, it's interesting at them because they're very similar offensively to your LA Clippers. The Clippers average the most points per game in ISO, Dallas two, Boston three. So you look at those top three, very good teams, but this is a Dallas team that likes to go one on one. I think though, if we're gonna play the ISO game, I know they have Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, who you would say traditionally maybe two of the best isolation scores in the NBA.

But on the other end of the floor at him is where I think the Clippers can find success because when you look at the Clippers isolation defenders, James Harden, he's shown at times he can step up and play good defense, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard one of the best two way stars in the NBA. So if you're gonna go point for a point, isolation bucket for isolation

bucket. I think the Clippers have that calling card with their play on the end when we're talking one on one, and we know in the playoffs the game slows down, possessions are valued even more, and I think that plays into the Clippers' hands a little bit. Their bottom ten in pace on the season, the Dallas Mavericks have been eighth post All Star break, so there may be a little bit of a culture shock with how much the game, you know, screeches to a little bit of a halt in the playoffs.

Now Dallas is going to try to impose their win. They're a will and get to their tempo of course to try to win ball games. But the Clippers, when they've been able to dig their heels in defensively, they've still been elite on that in in a half court setting one hundred percent adam, and they play better when it's slow, and that's on purpose. I mean Tyler has talked about from the beginning of the season. Look, this team is going to be judged on how they finish the rest of the way,

Right, you played a great eighty two games. But at the end of the day, no one's gonna say, well, you know what, you had a great regular season. No, they're gonna care about how you perform in the playoffs. And Tyler, knowing that, has played slow the whole regular season because he knows that can help the team come playoff time. And I think the Clippers are not gonna have to change their place town. They're not gonna have to mix things up. They can be themselves and find a

lot of success come the postseason. I think that's why Adam, as much as other teams, pushing the ball has plagued the Clippers. It could be something that Tyler wasn't worried as much about because hey, that's not gonna happen as much in the postseason. The game slows down, feels like the Clippers it's do or die at some time this year. I know, I remember back to media Day and I think it was Toma or Justin who asked, everybody went up, is it championship or bust this year for the Clippers?

And the Clippers said, of course, that's not how you look at things. It's not win it all or there's no success. But the Clippers know that this is when the real game starts. And that's why they got all these experienced guys. They got all these talented players. James Hornon fifteen straight playoffs, Paul George Kawhi Leonard, two time finals, MVP, Russell Westbrook's been in big playoff series. He's been to a finals in his playoff career.

These are guys who know that this is the time of year where they need to lock in. I'm excited to see them put it together. Yeah, they've been building towards this. They're built for this because this is also the oldest team in the league. Well, guess what, in the playoffs, there are no back to backs. There are no more five and sevens.

There aren't going to be a back to back. Mattinee start on a weekend Saturday Sunday series that the Clippers are going to have to worry about anymore, where they only get twenty two hours of rest in between ball games. That also plays into their hand a little bit. That also favors the Clippers. So the other thing I would say is coach lou The advantage of having

coach Lou in a seven game series is huge. I think it's he and Eric Spolser when it comes down to best in game strategists, especially strategists in a playoff series. In a seven game series, no one adjusts better I think on the West Coast than coach Lou. Yeah, and you look at who he's again. So I mean, Jason Kidd is an excellent coach. He's been in these big moments, but there's a difference in coaching in these

big moments. And ty Lou his whole career, since he first became a head coach, was coaching in NBA finals and understands what it's like to be on the biggest stage and how to coach on this stage. I think Adam this first two games, and we talked to this a little last time. There's gonna be a little bit of an adjustment process for both both teams because they haven't seen each other since the new year. The Clippers haven't played this

Dallas team. But once you start to see, Okay, this is what the Clippers have that's an advantage, this is what Dallas has that's working for them, that's when I think things can turn the Clippers way because Tylu knows exactly the right buttons to push to flip this, and he even talked about today at his media We have so much time to prepare. Sometimes we're overthinking.

They have been already deep diving on Dallas. This coaching staff understands how much this playoff run could mean for the future of this team going forward. Coach Lou has always talked about a playoff series once you get to the postseason, that's his happy place. I don't know if he's referencing Happy Gilmore. Either way, I like it. Adam Sandler's a big basketball fan, and Coach Lou is ready for this moment, and we'll have the squad ready starting

at some point Saturday or Sunday next weekend. Right back here at Crypto dot Com Arena as the Clippers close out the eighty two game regular season and close out their final contest as the home team in this building with a one to

sixteen to one zero five loss of the Houston Rockets. An inconsequential basketball game, but still like the spirit of the guys and how they played out there, especially Terrence Man, that could have carry over into the series with the rhythm that he found, especially in that third quarter and in the second half Terrence Man finishing with twenty four points. As we finished things off here with Carlo Jimenez. Carlo, my friend, great carl As always, we'll talk

to you at some point next weekend. How about that. Out of that, Adam west Is said, Adam west Is SENTO, we'll update you on the Western Conference standings coming up. We'll get to some second half highlights. Clippers will be entering a first round matchup against the Dallas Mavericks next weekend. Right back here in downtown Los Angeles. I'm Adam Moslin and you're listening to

the Los Angeles Clippers Audio Network. Let's go. The LA Clippers continue their hunt for a larryob They still want to get that Lario bat Don't miss a moment all season long. This is the LA Clippers Audio Network. Clippers close out this twenty twenty three twenty twenty four NBA regular season with a one sixteen, one oh five loss at home to the Houston Rockets. We already have known over the last four days who their first round opponent would be and where

that will take place. Right back here next weekend, They'll be taken on the Dallas Mavericks in game one of that four or five matchup in the first round. Welcome back in I'm at a maslin. This is your Slippers postgame locker room show coming up on the Patriot EM eleven fifty. We will have Clippers talk for you. Eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty eight seven seven five to two zero eleven fifty is the phone number your final box score.

Clippers ended up shooting under forty percent from the floor, just had twenty two points in that fourth quarter. As things went a little bit sideways there, Boban Marianovitch stepped in and went to work. He was six of eight and had thirteen points and eight boards. I believe if there was any guy in the league that Clipper Nation would be okay losing to, it would be

Bobi Boban Maranovitch, as he still made them winners. A free Chick fil a intentionally missing it looked like two free throws at the line and then pointing to the crowd showing love to Clipper Nation. As he is one of the most beloved former Clippers, maybe the most beloved player in the modern era. Boban Marianovich just the iron giant out there, the jolly green giant, whatever you gonna call him, A friend to all. Bobo Marianovitch one of my

favorites too. He used to call him the secret Weapon at times for the irony of it, because of how big he is. After his first game with the Clippers, he took down the Denver Nuggets on the road and had eighteen points in about fifteen minutes. But also loved to call him Devastator because of the Transformer combiner. But as for the Clippers in this game, they were led by terres Man. He had twenty four ten of fourteen shooting.

Xavier Moon just six of twenty two but had fourteen points. Was putting him up late in the fourth quarter. Brandon Boston five of sixteen with fifteen Daniel Tice look nice. Daniel Tye was sixteen points and ten boards, but more importantly, he looked extremely spry out there with the blocks he had, the throwdowns he had. He's ready for Dallas. You need him against Dallas's front

line, especially if he beats the Zubats gets into foul trouble. But regardless, I think Daniel Tyss is gonna be a big piece in this upcoming series. We will preview it all for you coming up next and into Clippers Talk. As the Clippers dropped their final contest of the eighty two game season, one sixteen to one oh five. They get set for Dallas right back here next weekend. I'm out of Mosland and you are listening to your Clippers locker

room show right here on Los Angeles Clippers Audio Network. They want to bring a banner with them to the Into It Dome. More LA Clippers Basketball on the LA Clippers Audio Network. Welcome back into Crypto dot com arena. I'm out of Mosland for the final time here in the regular season. As we're closing things out, the curtain is descending for the Clippers in this building as the home team. Next year they'll have their own home finally, thank you,

Steve Balmer. The Into It Dome will be the site they lose today, one sixteen to oneh five. As outside of Terrence Man, none of the other starters gave it a go as expected. It's exactly what we wanted. They have to get ready for the Ellas Mavericks coming up next weekend. Luka Danchez next to Kyrie Irving, Daniel Gafford and PJ. Washington now in the front court. Don't have a time for you yet. Get to me. I follow out of May on X if you want to stay abreast of

the situation. Whenever we do have that schedule for the Clippers in the first round and the four or five matchup out against the Dallas Mavericks outside of Los Angeles. We are leaving you until then. In La on the Patriot amleven fifty, it's Clippers Sock next. This has been LA Clippers basketball really good on multitude of levels. Don't miss a moment all ceason long on their official home. Join us next time on the LA Clippers Audio Network. Hello Clippers

fans. If you're gonna go for it, if that's what you want to do, you do welcome the Clippers Talk. Your first chance to react to all the action of Clippers basketball. Do it to hear every episode. Subscribe to Clippers Talk on iHeartRadio or wherever you podcast. You hear me right now your host on your home for the Clippers. They were in attack mode, Adam Astley. The Clippers fall one sixteen, so one oh five in Game eighty two here at Crypto dot Com Arena. And with that, the regular

season journey for Los Angeles Clippers is over. It's time for playoff basketball. Clippers taking on the Dallas Mavericks in the first round for the third time the last five seasons. They'll have home court advantage in the four to five matchup

in the Western Conference. Welcome into Clippers tuck imda Oslin. Eight seven seven five to two zero eleven fifty eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty is the number if you'd like to get on and talk about the ins and outs and everything coming with Luka Doncic now next to Kyrie Irving and a new front court as they reloaded it the trade deadline with Daniel Gafford and PJ Washington coming up. We'll also hear from coach lou post game. Talk to him pregame

and asked him this question. Does he still look at game tape of Luka Doncic from three years ago or is he progressed too far at this point to where that tape in that first round series that wins seven has become irrelevant. It's no longer useful. And he just spoke glowingly about Luca and how he was a great player, then he's still a great player now, not going to reveal anything. You gotta respect it. That's what coach Lo's all about. This is his time of the year. This is where he thrives.

This is what he's been waiting for, this is what he's been longing for, to get to the playoffs, to traverse this regular season and end up with at least home court in the first round. And speaking of I should have update you on the Western Conference standings as at the time the West. This may be of interest to you, Clibernation. The OKC thunder finished off with the one seed. Therefore you get out of this series not a given,

not against this Dallas Mavericks team. But if you are fortunate enough to get out of the four or five, or you're taking on the winner of the one to eight and it's not Denver, they end up with the two seed, they'll take on the winner of the Pelicans Lakers playing game Pelicans the seventh seed, they'll have home court, Lakers the A seed. The winner of that game coming up this week, I believe on Tuesday or Wednesday will

take on Denver as the two seed. The A seed will be determined based upon who wins out of the nine to ten between the Kings and the Warriors against the loser of the seven and eight double elimination. If you're in that seven to eight spot. So a lot still to be determined. But gotta tell you I would have signed up for this all day at the beginning of the season, for OKC to be in the one spot, for Denver to be in that second spot, Wolves in the three spot. They're taking on

the Phoenix Suns, who they lost to today at home. Very interesting. The Clippers, though, have to handle their own business. Business is at hand, and it's Luka doncis once again Luca the down. People think this is a bold take. I don't now if you watch enough NBA basketball. I'm not talking about his career. I'm talking about who he is as a player currently and how talented he is. He's one of the greatest basketball players of all time. No, he doesn't have the accolades and the resume of

match it. He's only twenty five. But if you're just looking at skill set and what he can do on the court, he is He's one of the greatest basketball players and offensive forces of all time. That's how much respect I have for Luca of the Dawn. He's earned that. In my mind, he's a bad man. He wants the final shot. It goes back to the Bubble Series against the Clippers in Game four where he took and made one over Reggie Jackson to beat him that long three pointer. He's different.

He's a superstar. He may be the face of the league when Lebron retires. Think of that, an international player be in the face of the league. He may be the MVP this season. I think it's back and play now that Denver didn't finish at the one spot, I thought it would have been Jokic. If had they finished number one, maybe it'll be Sga. But it's between those three Sga, Jokic, Luca. This is someone the

Clippers are very familiar with, and he's very familiar with them. He's taken the the most losses by any team to the Clippers, twelve and nineteen against them in his career. OH win to two in the playoffs. He wants his revenge. Luca Dontis will be out for blood. He couldn't be more motivated for this. Between the last time the Clippers saw him and now. He's been to a Western Conference finals back in twenty twenty two lost to the

Golden State Warriors, got a taste of a conference finals. He wants to get to the NBA Finals and now has Kyrie Irving next to him a legit number two. It's not Kristaps Porzingis on a bad knee anymore. It's Kyrie Irving, a champion in twenty sixteen, hitting one of the biggest shots in NBA history to help Cleveland and Lebron come back down three one to the Golden

State Warriors. Who was their head coach Toron Loo. That familiarity between not just him and Luca, but him and Kyrie Irving will be in play in this series. He knows him as well as any coach in this league. I couldn't be more excited for this series. There's only one question. Will Kawhi Leonard to be available? The reports say the Clippers aren't overly concerned, but his inflammation in that right knee, or the ACL reconstructive surgery was,

or the meniscus tear was last season. It's concerning to me. I'm not being an alarmist. I just know they need Kawhi Leonard and they need him at one hundred one against this Dallas Mavericks team because of the talent they possess.

So we'll be looking for reports all season or excuse me, all the uh purgatory mid season before the postseason for the Clippers, you could say this upcoming week during the plan and the other storyline that will be out there is what's the status with Kawhi Leonard. Now, I talked with law Murray earlier and I know my Zach, my guy Zach Ocaldy Zach attack can turn this around quickly. Here. I forgot to tell him, but I do want to play this audio for you. We had law Murray up the athletic on

in the pregame show on Clippers Countdown Obligatory. Kawhi Leonard rightnee questioned for you, did you learn anything more from that interview with Lawrence Frank last time out on Friday on Bally Sports. I think I did. It was just a reminder that you know, what he's dealing with is something that I feel like he's dealt with before. The Clippers have understood how to treat what might be happening with Kawhi Leonard. Surgey cly Repair right Nath and just again the perspective

of when Kawhi came back from the ACL in October twenty twenty two. He played the season opener, came off the bench against the Lakers, that was obviously absolute cinema, and then he didn't played the front end of that back to back in Sacramento, played the home opener against the son the same thing, came off the bench, Sons blew him out. Whatever, No one

thought everything was wrong. He gets on the plane Oklahoma City and he gets sent back home in the middle of that mini series to begin treatment, and so he missed twenty five days with that. Was that titled inflammation, I remember it was it was stiffness, right, So like we're not we're talking about soreness, inflammation, stiffness. It's his right knee and it's discomfort,

and it's just a matter of trying to get him to play again. And that's where the concern is, Like lessons if you will the fact that, okay, you know you're dealing with. You're trying to get it, get him the fire it up, get the strength back, get the flexibility back. And so I think that everyone knows like if we can just get the timing right, then he'll be okay. I don't think that he's going to

be It's clear he's not dealing with any level of setback. It's just a concern about can you get it going before Saturday, because I'm anticipating Game one to be Saturday, and so that's gonna be an open question. We're gonna have to see what his level of participation is in practice. But I think that they had things under controls just a matter of do they have the time. There was lot Murray of the athletic on with me during the pregame show

Clippers Countdown. So if you want to take some salts in the fact that they've had some experience with this type of injury with his right knee, in the fact that by the time the first round starts next weekend, he will have had three weeks off I think exactly to the date if they play on Saturday, that's what he's anticipating. Will update you coming up what the playoff schedule could be against the Dallas Mavericks and the four to five matchups starting right

back here next week and at Crypto dot Com Arena. With the Clippers holding home court over Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, we'll get your phone calls coming up here on Clippers Talk as well. Eight seven to seven five two zero, eleven fifty. The Clippers drop their final game of the twenty twenty three to twenty twenty four season, their final regular season game here at Crypto dot Com Arena as the hosting team, one sixteen to one oh five to the

Houston Rockets. Bill Belichick once said, we're moving on to Cincinnati. We're moving on to Dallas. We'll be talking about that next here on Clippers Stock on the Patriot AM eleven fifty, The LA Clippers continue their hunt for a Lariobe. They still want to get that Lario beat. Don't miss a moment all season long. This is the LA Clippers Audio Network. Clippers get set for the Dallas Mavericks next weekend, right back here in downtown Los Angeles as

they've closed out their regular season campaign here at Crypto dot Com Arena. They fall one sixteen to one oh five to the Houston Rockets, but they already had that four spot. Only player of significance when it comes to starters would be Terrence Man playing in this one, and he had twenty four on ten to fourteen shooting. He's ready to go. I want to hear from him postgame Clippers talk is he was on with Christina Pink on Bally Sports afterwards.

Then we see you guys will be in the playoffs, but it is the final regular season game for this Clipper nation here in downtown Los Angeles. What was the energy like throughout the building today? It was dope. It was dope to be able to see everybody here show up for it, you know, even though it was a game that neither neither team needed, but everybody

was here excited for our last regular season game. I can only speak for the last five years, but it was a dope opportunity to be able to play here when it was stables and now that it's crypto, so you know, but we're excited to move on. So you've played all your regular season home games as a part of this arena in downtown Los Angeles. What has been your favorite memory? There's a lot, but I obviously say to one in the playoffs when I had thirty nine points. I think that's the most

electric I've ever seen this building. And we're looking to try and get back there this year. So all right, thanks so much for your time. Team man. Yeah, no problem. We're Sina Pink there with Terrence Man, same team, Man, most electric I've ever heard it, and it still wasn't it full capacity because of COVID, and it was still that loud, unbelievable. The twenty five point comeback where you had thirty nine against the Utah Jazz in that game six in the second round to get them to advance

in the Western Conference Finals. They are advancing to the playoffs. They're taken on Dallas in the first round. Mark and hinsen Beach here on Cliversock with that of Maazon Hi Mark. Well, finally no more damn afternoon games. Right, Well, there's still likely it would be some of the players maybe the playoffs. I mean next season. Next season. I have to set my TV recorder because I work nights, so you know, I'm as bad off as the Clippers in the twelve o'clock game. Anyway, Just glad to

see that's over with. And what do you think, you know the coach actually put in the combo that I was asking for. I heard it, I didn't see it. You got to see it probably when Tys and based on Plumblu were both out there the same time. They went with a big front line. We saw it a little bit on Friday Night too. I think it was more out of necessity, out of need, than some strategic look or preparing for the Dallas Mavericks by going with two bigs like that.

But we'll see. I'm interested in seeing. I have been all season long. I'm seeing Daniel Tis next movie to Zubos. Maybe they've shown PJ. Tucker next to him, but I don't know if that's the Clippers at all showing their hand or what they could do in the first round Mark right, Yeah, because Tye is kind of the X fatter. If he's next to another center, it just to me it's like two big men, you know,

and now what are you gonna do? Whether it's Zubacher or plumb Lee And now you got this guy who's just a different style than either one or the other two. Yeah, he has some range. He ended up shooting on the season, I think just over thirty percent from the outside, which is on very low volume. Make it coming into this one, he wasn't thirty seven and a half percent, so almost thirty eight percent. But I'm going to tell you it was under one hundred shots attempted from the three point

line. That's really the determining factor because on offense, if you have two bigs like that and neither of them can shoot, you can really clog up the paint and make those driving lanes tougher for everybody else. Let's go to we got Morris and Inglewood Morris, what's up here on Clipper stop with that? A massle. You know, Adam, I've been watching basketball for a long time. I do not remember, and maybe you can help me with this. I've never remember a year where at the last day, the very

last day of the season, three teams were tied for first place. I've never heard of that like that. I'm going to tell you something. I believe that the Clippers are ready. I believe they're ready. Of nine months. You take us nine months to get to this point. All we got to do is be healthy. If we're healthy, we got this. Dallas has come up better, their defense has gotten better. But I think the Clippers can make enough runs in that forty eight minutes to beat him and your

SGA. He's got to be the MVP. You can't tell me nobody else is on that team other than SDA, and who would have thought this who would have thought, j William I'm chet Holme Grin. I could go down the list. I don't know what you're qualified. You're just qualified. Okay, you just qualified. I'm talking about people that you know don't follow basketball like you do. They couldn't say nobody else on their team. But I'm gonna tell you something to blow them mind too. I'm gonna say I'm gonna

sit on with this. I can remember where if somebody had told me that the top three players in the National Basketball Association would be foreign players, I would have said, you crazy. But guess what, that's where it is today. The last five MVP winners are international players. My friend, no things getting crazy. Things is getting crazy, getting crazy, Morris, They're

getting real crazy. The playoffs are almost here. Morris and long Beast there started off talking about some building for nine months, saying, uh, the baby is about to be born. This Clippers team is something born out of this regular season. We will see mention new Jersey quickly. Here, Mitch, what's up? Thank Adam. We all use the rest clue ewing calls we can use to red get the main guy's back to be a great series. And I think I'm sorry, Mitch. I appreciate the phone call,

but I am short on time, my friend. We're taking calls throughout the playoffs as well. Quick time out here. Gonna be a great series, probably the marquee matchup right now as things are set up the first round. A lot of future Hall of famers out there, Luca, Kyrie, Kawhi, pg Russ, James Harden. We'll talk about it with Will Updyke of Clips and Dip. Next, you're on Clipper sock as we get set for the postseason. I'm Adam Malls and you're listening to the Patriot Amlin fifty.

The LA Clippers continue their hunt for a Larryo b. They still want to get that Larryo beat. Don't miss a moment all season long. This is the LA Clippers Audio Network. Clippers follow in the regular season finale here at Crypto dot Com Arena for the final time here in downtown Los Angeles. They lose one sixteen to one oh five. It's time for playoff basketball, though. Clippers will be taking on the Dallas Mavericks right back here next weekend.

Coming up, we'll hear from big brother Jake Warner on his memories here in downtown Los Angeles as we celebrate twenty five years here with the Clippers in this building. But joining the show right now for a little clips and double dip on Clippers stock is Will Updyke. Well, let's get right into it. Your best memory of a Clipper game here at Crypto dot com Areno formerly known

as Staples Center. Ooh man, that's a tough one. Christmas Day, Lakers, the paste, the pad, that's steel, I think that might be. I think that's up there with my favorite. I like that Clippers were down double digits. It was a classic late and I love Patrick Beverly. So any new Rakles, anything that I don't know, an epiphany or a revelation you have had when thinking about this outcoming series against the Dallas Mavericks

right now, will you know? I'm it's great that we got some rest for all the key guys, and you know, I'm assuming given from what we've heard, which has you know, been a little bit shouted in the mystery. But Kawhi Leonard's going to be good to go. But what I've really liked from these last couple of weeks is just the extended burn that we've gotten for some of these role player guys. I mean, I feel like I'm here coffee has really popped, which he's done all season long, but

just getting even more minutes, even more comfortable. I think it's great seeing Terrence out there able to sort of run the show. You know, top tier talent between these two teams, both pros and cons. But it's going to be really, really difficult. I do in my mind the Clippers still do have a bit of a depth advantage. It just depends on how they're

going to be able to work through rotations. But getting everybody into this sort of playoff form, getting the best out of you know, your your roster as deep as as deep as that ends up being, whether it's ten guys or it goes all the way to twelve or what have you. Getting those guys really up to speed and really comfortable in games, I think is great

preparation for the playoffs. And obviously Harden Kawhi and Paul George has extensive experience there, I mean Norm Powell as well, So not as much concern with them, Glad that they glad that they got some time off, Glad that we were able to do that to end the season. We didn't have to necessarily fight and claw to secure the seed that we the best seed that we could get. Daniel sas finish was sixteen points and ten boors in this game.

I thought he looked really fresh and spry out there. How do you see the backup big man rotation shaking out and being used against the Dallas Mavericks will Man. I think that is such a huge question mark because so much of this series I think could really depend on how much Vizza zu Becks is

going to be able to play out there on the floor. You know, if Zoo can assert himself and be good for you know, thirty thirty plus minutes a night, I think then I think next up in the rotation, it'll probably I want to say that they'll go with Tys and or PJ. Tucker for some looks as good as Mason Plumley has been, I think that Tye is going to prioritize a little a little bit of the spacing and some of the versatility at the five, as we have seen him do kind of

throughout the season. Quickly here final question. Things kind of worked out for the Clippers. On the final day of the regular season, Denver did not get the number one seed. They're in the two three with Minnesota. Should both those teams win their first round matchups, they would be matched up against one another. It's okay, see waiting to find out who the A seed's going to be. Okay, see at the top of the West. Just what do you observe here? Because it seems like this is not too bad

of a path. We don't want to get ahead of ourselves. The Dallas Mavericks are brutal and they can easily win this series if the Clippers are not on their game, and even if they are, but was nice to see some of the West and actually things kind of work in the clippers favor for once here. Will Yeah, I mean I gotta agree. Look like you said, we just can't. You just can't think about the second round right

now. While it's nice to know that Denver won't be waiting right around the corner, nothing matters, but this series starting on what I believe will be Saturday, that's just getting four wins against the Mavericks is really the only thing that matters. And as I said, like, well, it'll be great to not be staring down Denver immediately after that, I just can't really think beyond this series right now, and the Clippers shouldn't be either. I'm with

you. When we have talent like Dallas does and that new reloaded front Shaye's MVP, it might mean that, It might mean that, or it's Luca or I don't think it's gonna go to Yokis now because they finished second, and there's just fatigue with giving him his third regular season MVP after coming off the finals MVP last year. You know how it worked well? I mean, if Shaye won the MVP, I would be I would be over the moon. I would be over the moon for him, Yeah, no doubt.

And then I'd like to see the Clippers take them on in the second round, should they be lucky enough. Will Thanks for doing a little double dip here, my friend. I appreciate it, Louie, thanks for having me. Let's go clip, let's go playoffs. Before we get out of here, let's get to big brother Jake Warrener, our head engineer. Hey, Jake, how long you've been working in this building? Twenty five years, as long as the Clippers have been here? Yes, how many games

do you think you have logged? Oh my god, just for the Clippers. Well, over four hundred, maybe five hundred easily. Men. That's yeah about that, maybe a little more. You said it on our last show. That the only time you've heard it louder than it was for Game six with the Clippers taking on the Utah Jazz. Was Kobe Bryant's final game where he dropped sixty on the Jazz. That place was electric during that time. But when we were here in twenty twenty one, that's like a very

close second. I couldn't believe how loud it was. I mean, this place was rocking and we weren't it full capacity. No, there was Plexi glass between us and our seats. Remember, it was a completely different vibe and it was still that loud. Now, what will you remember most about this building? What are some of the games, some of the moments, some of the experiences, and some of the people you met. You know, just beating all you guys here in this building, my sixty year here

now, and just the fun we had calling games. But that Dallas, you know, beating Dallas in twenty twenty one, Just seeing Brian Seman so emotional and how happy he was to see the team get over the hump, seeing you get excited working with the great Noah Eagle and now we've been blessed with color Jimenez. I mean it goes on and on. This is like my home away from home, and I love every bit of it. I've thoroughly enjoyed it. It'll be fun and ind to it. But we have

a few more games still. Let's go, and I'm excited. I'm excited. This place is gonna be Rocky Club. One to eleven is gonna be jumping. Love you, bro, We'll see love you. Oh you bet, you're sweet. You know what.
