Transcript

The game is over. Paul George money in the pain, but the postgame reaction has just begot Kawhi Leonard is so smooth in the mid range. This is Clippers locker Room, a recap of today's game and a look ahead on your hope for LA Clippers basketball. And now your host, You, sir, are a bad man, Adam Ousley. The Clippers fall once again in Okay see final score Thunder one eighteen. You're Los Angeles Clippers one ten. Welcome into your postgame show. Coming up, we'll get to your postgame box

score. You'll hear from the head coach and the players after this one. But first back to Oklahoma City and back to your voice of the Clippers, Noah Eagle. Now it just feels like right now, this Clippers team, if it's not one thing, it's another. But the turnovers, the lack of boards, giving up twelve offensive rebounds once again to Okay. See, if they don't start doing the little things, it doesn't matter who they play out there. It's exactly right, Adam, it's just the margins. The

margins are the key. So in this game, twenty turnovers results in thirty one Oklahoma City Thunder points, twelve offensive Thunder rebounds result in twenty one second chance points. That's your game right there. Then we go to the three point shooting seventeen of thirty eight. Listen, I'm not saying that the Oklahoma City Thunder are gonna fetti whop every game, but they're a good enough three point shooting team. They've got good enough shooters that you just can't leave them

open. And that's what the Clippers did tonight. They didn't rotate the right way. They were just leaving guys wide open and letting them shoot. And they got away with it on Tuesday, ironically, when Oklahoma City only made four threes, but tonight wasn't. In the case, You're not going to get away with it time and time again. And so back to the drawing

board for the Clippers. There were positives in this one, though I thought Norman Powell was a positive of itsa Zubots continues to be a positive, and Reggie Jackson's a positive. John Wall had some positive moments, So there were positives here. But the Clippers, they are so much more than moral victories. This season, especially, this is title or bust to the max, and you feel like the Clippers are still a long way away again early season.

You look back at Phoenix last year, they started like this, they ended with sixty four wins. Now they didn't win the title, so you can't necessarily say the same thing like that. But I think the Clippers this to me, if this isn't the wake up call that they can use, I'm not really sure what is. Yeah, how about the Boston Celtics last season, they had a bad first half, they got to the NBA Finals,

they turned it around. But more about Norman Powell and what you were talking about there, because if this does carry over, this was the Norman Powell we expected from Game one, and he looked like himself. And I thought, especially that throwdown in the second half over multiple Thunder players, that may have been a big moment for him, no question about it. Twenty one points on the night in thirty one minutes, nine to fifteen shooting.

If this Norman and Powell is out there when Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, and I'll be honest with you, I thought one of the biggest absences for these two games was Marcus Morris. I think it was a combination of a few things. One on Tuesday when the Clippers needed a big bucket. That's what he does. You give it to him in that mid post area, He's gonna find a way to get you either two points or hit a big three in a big moment. Two. It's the toughness, right that offensive

rebounding. He would not have let that stand. He would have let that just find. He would have found a way to make sure that didn't happen. And so I think those are some of the little things that are missing, the intangibles that Mark has brought them. And certainly the boardman he wasn't gonna make sure. He was gonna make sure that Oklahoma City wasn't gonna get

themselves those level of rebounds. But it's hard right now. It's just it's very hard because the Clippers technically they didn't have major injuries or anything like that like they did last year, but they have restrictions on their guys. And John Walls still only played twenty one minutes tonight despite having seventeen points, six assists, and four rebounds in the twenty one minutes, and Kawhi Leonard when he's played, has only played about twenty minutes in those games. It hasn't

started, so it's thrown off the rotations. It's just it's little things that are adding up on one another. And I think the Clippers, again, I would much rather this happen now. But with that being said, you need to fix it. And I think that's what they're going to be defined as. It's never you're never defined by your mistakes. You're always defined by how you fix them or you don't, and how you react to those errors. So if the Clippers can react positively, this can be the best thing

to happen to the team. But they have to react the right way. They have to figure it out, and they've got two days of practice now back home to really get back to the drawing board and start to diagnose some of these main issues and start to figure out what the best solution for all of them is. We'll see if the Clippers can respond. Sunday tip off at noon and downtown Los Angeles. They're taking on the New Orleans Pelicans.

Well, if your Clippers pregame shows starting at eleven to Noah EGO, great call is always safe travels. We'll see you back in Los Angeles. Oh man, gonna be all over. Can't wait at him. Coming up next, we get to your post game box score. Clippers fall one eighteen to one ten and okay, see to the thunder. And this is the Los Angeles Clippers where you know that one? Don't, I don't, you're rubbing

it. Let's have guys list enough jokes. Oh Paul Joe LA Clippers basketball continue his pains as he carries the three on the home of your LA Clippers. If the Clippers they're falling both games to the thunder, welcome back into your post game show. I'm Adam Oslins still succumb. We'll have postgame reaction in audio from the head coach and the players after this one. But remember tonight's ball game was brought sponsored in part by the California Department of Public Health.

Keep your immunity strong with the updated and most protective COVID nineteen booster find one for ages five and up at My turn dot CA dot gov. And digging into this box score, it's tough to rationalize how the Clippers fell apart in this one until you see the turnovers nineteen of them Tuesday night, twenty of them tonight. You can point out that led to thirty one points for

the Okase Thunder because the Clippers put up one ten. They had been one of the best defenses so far this season, but they give up one hundred and eighteen points. Is okay See also got hot from the outside. You couldn't expect them to be as miserable as they were shooting wise Tuesday night tonight and the thunder once you know it went seventeen of thirty eight from three and hit big ones. Polkashevski in that fourth quarter had a couple of them,

and they shoot forty five percent from the outside. Even though the Clippers overall shot fifty four percent from the field, they were nine of twenty eight from three. They didn't get theirs to go in the fourth and the Clippers defensively just were not good enough at all in the second half. They give up thirty six points in the third quarter and twenty nine points in the fourth quarters. So if it's not one thing, it's another right now, their offense

woke up when they weren't turning the basketball over. They were more efficient, but defensively they gave up one hundred and eighteen points the Okase Thunder. They lose by eight, lost by fourteen on Tuesday. They're coming back to downtown Los Angeles to take on the Pelicans. That's an afternoon contest, tip off at twelve on Sundays. They got a couple of days off to practice and regroup. Here. We'll regroup right after this quick time out. Coming up

next, we're still looking for postgame audio. So you're leading score in this one for the Clippers, and this was a positive. Norman Powell goes

for his season high of twenty one on nine of fifteen shooting. The confidence looked to be back. He was attacking the basket, had a big dunk in the second half we talked about earlier with Noah Eagle. Reggie Jackson also shot a much better percentage eight to thirteen from the field with eighteen points, had a tough step back jump for his first mid range jumper of the season in the fourth quarter, and off the bench, John Wall was very good

with seventeen points and six assists to just one turnover. On six of twelve shooting, and how about a Visa Zoo Bots once again. This time he goes for his new career high eighteen Boards had twelve points, four of nine shooting. I want to say every make of his was a dunk. Clippers fall though, by eight in OKC to the thunder and SGA, who had twenty four points, not the thirty three he had. Tuesday night. Lu Dort had twenty one and the Clippers lose one eighteen to one ten. They

fall in both games in OKC. They're coming back home on Sunday to take on the New Orleans Pelicans. Tip time for that one is at noon. We'll have Clippers pregame at eleven am. Quick time out. Now your host of Clippers Talk. Here's Adam osling dark work. Clippers losing okayc again one eighteen to one ten. Welcome into Clippers Talk. I'm autam oslind eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number coming up? We got postgame audio from coach Lou. We'll get to your phone calls, I promise.

Morrison Long Beach already on hold. Clippers dropped to two and three on the season, and instead of responding and bouncing back like we thought would happened Tuesday night when we talk to you about that fourteen point loss against Okay. See tonight they get down by eighteen in the first quarter. They cut it to ten going into the second, but down eighteen after what we just saw Tuesday night, and if you're on hold, we'll screen your phone calls for you.

Hold on for us eight six six nine eight seven two seventy. We were looking for intensity, and maybe it wasn't a fact that they weren't playing hard out there in the first quarter, and I don't think that was the issue, but they were still sloppy with it. Nine turnovers in the first quarter. They outdo themselves. They had nineteen as a team Tuesday night. They have twenty as a squad tonight, and nine of those came in the first quarter to get down by eighteen. And then it looked like things were

clicking in for them. After being down ten in the first quarter, Norman Palace started to get it going hit a couple of three pointers. He started one for twelve through the first four games of the season from distance, and he hit two three pointers in the second quarter alone. I believe it was and all of a sudden, the Clippers started to turn things around offensively. When they put out this lineup, it was effective. John Wall, Reggie

Jackson, Paul George, Terrence Mann and Avizza Zubots out there. After Norm did some damage with those three pointers. He went to the bench. I believe it was. John Wallho came in for him, and the Clippers went on a run to end the second quarter. In the last five minutes and fifty two seconds of the first half, they outscored the Thunder twenty three to eight, and they led by seven, a twenty five point turnaround after being

down eighteen in the first quarter. That's how much their offense clicked in. And it's not a coincidence that they only had three turnovers in that second quarter. They got out of their own way for once, the self inflicted wounds, the careless turnovers, it looked like they were starting to clean it up.

And then to start the third quarter they had three straight offensive fouls, two by Terrence Man, one by eVisa Zuba, and all that momentum they had, they gave it up. And of those twenty turnovers they had tonight, well, the Oksey Thunder turned that into thirty one points. You want to talk about beating yourself, the Clippers have been doing it all season long.

In their three losses and even in the game against the Lakers and in the game against the Sacramento Kings. Those were close games down the stretch. For a reason, Clippers had turnovers. They weren't exactly stepping on the throat of their opponents. And I know Paul George was playing hurt. He's coming

off a non COVID related illness. And they still don't have Kawhi and Marcus Morris, who I really think it's sorely missed because he was one of the few players to start off this season hot Noah Ego talks about it post game, wasn't with him on the trip. If we're gonna talk about this team having a historically deep bench, they got to show it on nights like this.

It's not like it was even a back to back against Okay. See, they had a day off in between, and they still gave the basketball away in the first quarter and gave up wide open three pointers in the fourth quarter and found a way to lose to a Thunder team that was zero and three coming into this two game mini series against the Clippers, and now they share the same record with them. I'm not going to completely freak out because it's five games into the season. I told you it's only four games in

Tuesday night, what's one more game? But it is a little bit concerning to see them offensively be this careless with the basketball over and over again, with bad turnovers, not rebound as a squad, as a team, and give up twelve of fits of rebounds leading to twenty one points for the Thunder And they were still in the game late and they had chances to win.

And you would have thought the more seasoned team with Reggie Jackson hitting that big step back jumper like he did against the Detroit Pistons when he came back there for the first time to beat him, I thought that SHOT's gonna carry through. And instead the Clippers gave up big time three pointers to Pokashevski, to Trey Man. Dort hit a couple of free throws. Sga had a steal and a layup on just a bad pass from Viatsa zoobots as good as he

was going for a career high eighteen boards. That dribble handoff passed he was trying to make. I want to say to John Wall Sga just ripped it away. I don't know what he was looking at there. You just have to be better with the basketball. They will be. But the start off this season two and three now in this fashion where offensively they were second to last, coming into this game. They put up one hundred and ten points in this one. They shot fifty four percent from the field, still just

nine to twenty eight from the outside after a hot start from three. But offense wasn't the problem, you could say, at least when they got shots up. The problem was the turnovers, the misques, guys not being on the same page. Okay, see, got up thirteen more shots than the Clippers in this game, after getting up twenty seven more shots in the Clippers Tuesday night because of all the turnovers an offensive rebounds. So it's a disappointing,

frustrating loss per cliber Nation. I realized that, and we're not going to sugarcoat it. There's still positives. Norman Powell getting off the snide, having twenty one points to lead them, and just looking like Norman Powell attacking that dunk in the third quarter was big over a few different Thunder players. It looked like he was having his I'm back type of moment. Hit a

couple of three pointers. As I mentioned, he was one for twelve coming into this came on the season from three, he goes two for seven. Multiple layups from him and John Wall that were insanely impressive. Reggie Jackson, not just the step back. He had a twelve foot floater in the fourth quarter that was ridiculous. He was more efficient eight to thirteen, eighteen points.

Paul George, she didn't really look like himself, had a dunk in the fourth quarter, but just twelve shots, four of twelve coming off the illness. Flew in yesterday to be with the team into play tonight, but just ten points in thirty one minutes. Luke Kennard was good off the bench again but just played seventeen had ten four or five, shooting two of three

from distance. Clipper's defense failed them in the second half. You get up thirty six points in the third quarter after they had all the momentum going into the half, and to start things off with three straight offensive fouls. I want to say they had six in the game. Six of their turnovers were offensive fouls. That just doesn't happen. That's just unbelievably flukey. But right now maybe it does. Anything that can't go wrong, Cannon will go wrong.

But a thirty six point quarter to okay, See when the Clippers put up a respectable twenty seven points in the third and then they give up twenty nine more points in the fourth. Okay, see we call it a two game mini series. I'm sure this felt like the playoffs to them, This felt like maybe might feel like the two biggest wins of the season by the end of it, with all the injuries they have going on and what a

young team they are. But especially against a young team like this, you have to be cognizant of the fact that if you give them turnovers, they're gonna get out and run. They're gonna beat you down the court. Clippers did some of that too, but when they had those live ball turnovers, Oklahoma City made them pay again twenty turnovers leading to thirty one points, twelve offensive rebounds leading to twenty one points. Fifty two points right there from okayc

just off the Clippers not being sound with the basketball. Eight six sixty nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number Kevin and Inglewood. Hey, yeah, don't mind doing buddies, but the minutes since are called. Man, I'm with you, man, I mean, it's very clear. I mean we didn't have two of our big calls then, but those turnovers. Oh my god, man, I mean, you can't beat anybody, and able very lucky to give the

first two games against the Lagas and the Kings. The Kings and the Lagas just didn't just didn't. I mean, he just didn't turn those turnovers into points like Black Oklahoma died. You know. Other than that, again, I'm I'm the only thing I'm concerned about is is that it's still a lot of the same team other than John Wall, and they don't look like they've

ever played together before, you know. I mean, I know normal Power came in for a few games, you gotta earth, but for the court of the team is pretty much a lot of the same guys, and they just those turnovers are like, you know, the those are like you've never played with people before and you're not used to where there are you know, where they're on the on the court. That's just strange, man, It's just kind of strange. And only just want to make one more stavement at

him. I know you always told the company line, but I'm still going to go back to that. Yeah, yeah, you always told the company line. Look, I look for positives, oh no, no doubt, no doubt, no doubt. But I still say that, and it's still showing that said George trade for it before guiltest Alexander, I'm still hot about that one, Kevin, thank you but appreciated. Yeah, Look, can we get over that they don't get Kawhi Leonard if they don't trade for Paul

George. I don't know how many times I have to explain this. It was for two guys. Really, Kawai came because they traded for Paul George. I don't know how many times I have to explain this. And by the way, yeah, they gave up five picks, two of them weren't theirs. It's not like they haven't developed good young players in the meantime. It's not like they didn't get Brandon Boston. It's not like they didn't draft Terrence Man, a mere coffee who went undrafted. They've found guys that are

contributors even without having those first round picks. And Musadiabatte looks like a good one. Congrats to him. Gets his first bucket as a professional tonight. But the Clippers fall one eighteen to one ten did the OKC thunder And yes, shay Giljis Alexander take a quick time out. We'll come back, get back to your phone calls eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eighty seven two five seventy. Just the false narrative about that

trade. It wasn't just for Paul George, who, by the way, dragged them to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history two years ago. But never mind that, right, SCA hasn't been in the playoffs yet. Or is that give me one of those nights on Clippers Talk before coming up next year at M five seventy only sports is the MAGNI keeps attracting me me. I try to run to see him. Not that fast, I think the first butsonly finished last last. It was blocked by George.

This is La Clippers basketball. He is a one man record crawl and he frets a man on the home of your La Clippers. Clippers lose one eighteen to one, ten and oka seats in the thunder dropped to two and three on the seasons this Clippers Talk, I'm at I'm oslin to eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight two seventy is the phone number didn't mean to go David vs. Say on the last caller

who did bring up a good point indirectly. He was talking about Clippers fans Kevin it was in Englewood or Clippers players, and how there's a lot of the same guys, So what's the problem with the chemistry and them not jelling

out there with twenty turnovers tonight? But there are differences. Norman Powell only played in a handful of games last season, and he pushes the pace and the tempo just like John Wall. So now that guys are playing faster all of a sudden, it does lead me to believe that it lends itself to more turnovers because they're more sped up and guys don't know where they're going to be position wise on the floor. That makes some sense, that doesn't explain

away everything. I saw Luke nar throw a ball over Nicholas Batoum's head that was ten feet above it. I think it was in late in the first quarter, early in the second. And they gotta be better than this, and they gotta short things up because you have twenty turnovers against some of the elite teams in the West, you're gonna lose by twenty plus. Let's go to Zach in Long Beach. Zach, what's up. You're on Clippers stop without Amazin? Hey, what's going on? Adam Hoppo as well? Dude.

I do not know what's going on with the LA basketball teams, but I was watching the I know the Clippers have been struggling with the thunder, and I really do trust them down the road in the postseason. So if you are a fan, like, just sit in your seat. You're gonna be okay. Everything's gonna click. But the Lakers are just absolutely I can care less about the Lakers. This is Clippers talk, yeah, and they're absolutely they need to step it up, man, they really don't. They're

gonna be all right. They're gonna be all right. Zach. Thank you for the phone call. I appreciate it. I just want to go over the landscape of basketball in LA. You want to use UCLA or usc preview in there as well their basketball season. I could care less about what the Lakers are doing right now. Clipper's got to worry about what they're doing or not doing. That's the issue. Rick in Long Beach, you on Clippers

stop without of Amassin, Hey, Arama, I told you. I'll call you back, yeah, Rick. Not only is this and there, it is pathetic, man, This is absolutely pathetic. What they need. I don't know who the leader is on that team, but someone needs to tell Tylu to walk out through walk out the room and close the door. And as Bernie used to say, there's gonna be some furniture moving up in here.

How do you know that hasn't all? What do you happened? I don't know, but what I'm what I'm seeing is the same thing, the same thing that you used to happened the other day with the with the turnovers. The same thing is going on now. So somebody, someone, some group is not getting the message. This is ridiculous. This is ridiculous. And if they did have a close look, like you said, how would I know? I don't know, but I do know this. These teams,

there's no gimme anymore. This is the best chance for them to have two wins or at least one split, and then you're gonna face another team to just beat Dallas even without happening Zion, And that's not gonna be an easy, easy win, not at all. And all the rest of the games, all the rest of the games coming up. There's no gimme so and then they got they got the real big teams coming up. So I'm trying to figure out what in the world it's going on with this team.

What in the world is going on? This does not make any sense, it doesn't. I mean, like you just have to say and Canard through a pass over, I forget who who the player or something over his head and what are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? I mean that's what I'm saying before. I don't know if it's tied and should do something or somebody's whoever the leader is, just stand up, even if it's Boston, just stay up, stand up and say, hey, man, look,

this is unacceptable. This is really unacceptable, and you're going home. Who's to say that they won't have twenty three tone for turning Rowers. I mean, come on, Rick, I hear you. I understand your frustration and your passion for this team. I'm with you. Some of these turnovers are inexplicable, unexplainable, and downright out of the ordinary for this group. Even with newer editions like Norman Powell who hasn't played much with him, and

like John Walls in his first season as Clipper. They still have to be better than this. And on a night light tonight, And I appreciate the phone call. Rick, We'll talk to you on Sunday, on a nightlight tonight where you thought they were going to bounce back and respond and just at least play with a different level of toughness and energy and intensity and purpose out there. They were down eighteen in the first quarter, and they battled back

to be up by seven and a half. And they gave all that momentum way by doing what turning the basketball over in the third. All right, we'll take a quick time out. We'll come back. We got coachlew audio. But first, actually I should pause ten seconds for station identification. Here on AM five seventy LA Sports. This is LA Clippers Basketball. AM five seventy KLAC Los Angeles eight seven KYSR HD two Los Angeles and iHeart radio station.

More Clippers stock coming up next. We'll get back to your phone calls. More so long beach is still on hold eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy The phone number Clippers lose one eighteen to one ten and okay, see to the thunder third loss in a row after starting off the season two and oh, I'll tell you this. No Eagle brought up post game. Phoenix Suns started off two and three last year. They won sixty four games. Okay, they've petered

out in the second round. You don't like that comparison. The Boston Celtics were a five hundred team midway through the season last year, and they turned it around and went to the NBA Finals then took the Warriors to six. The Clippers aren't in some insurmountable hole here. And some of these struggles, as I mentioned, with new players, new faces, and new styles of play out there, some of it can be explained some of it. So it's on the guys and they got to figure it out in the locker room

and then take it out to the court and execute. On Sunday, more Clippers stock next year on five seventy l Sportskay smoking on cheese and you know me and more. It's blocked by George. This is La Clippers basketball. He is a one man record crawl, the defensive man on the home of your La Clippers Daddy with the net sec. Now we definitely wants the village. Stayed at me Granny's whimmy Mammy with at work against and watched my every

removed. I thought it's certain only thing better than one wake up call to Clippers just cut their second wake up calling back to back games they losing. Okay, see Tuesday Night by fourteen Tonight by eight. Final score Thunder one eighteen Clippers one ten. Welcome back in the Clippers talk. I'm out of Moslin eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six sixty nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number we will preview Sunday's game against the

New Orleans Pelicans. As Rick said, cannot be taken lightly no matter who is there. And brandon Ingram he's not traveling with him, so he's not going to be available. That's up in the air. Still, Clippers gotta worry about themselves though, and how they're playing. I told you before the season, this team is talented enough. They can be their own worst enemy.

They can beat themselves if they take a team lightly, if they don't take care of the basketball's wenty more turnovers in this one, leading to thirty one points for the Oklahoma City Thunder and here's Coach Low post game of the loss. Oh, I think, you know, making a simple play is one thing. I think we had a couple of charges, which is fine because you're being aggressive with them. We had a few moving screens as well. But the live turnovers is you know, killing us, like, you

know, giving up thirty one points on twenty twenty turnovers. So we got to just clean that up. I thought, you know, rebound the ball tonight, we've made it conscious of ever trying to hit the bodies and trying to rebound the ball. They stick him up with twilve. But that's way better than the last game. So I mean, you know, shooting fifty four percent, and we just gotta be able to guard a point of attack. You know, I think they're just lining us up one on one and

guys will be able to get whatever they want. So now we gotta jump the game with some blitzers and fires and now you're in four rotation and scrambling for the whole night. So just gotta do a better job. I think point of attack defense and just you know, guarding the ball one on one. Appreciate at you, No, I mean it's articles one on one better, you know, but we can be better with our shrinks. We can be better with the cuts and the slot cuts when we are helping his shrink

in the floor. So I said, they played well and did a good job and a lot of attention. You know, it's on Shay and so guys are getting open threes, getting back cuts and so, you know, just having a better awareness, you know, with our one on one defense, point of attack defense. Yeah, coach lew has brought this up before, and thanks to Valley Sports for the audio post game. But you got to accept that one on one challenge because if you can't slow anyone down at

the point of attack, your entire defense can break down. No matter how goodna Besta Zubos has been so far this season as the defensive anchor, you get a defense off balance at the arc, it's gonna be tough. Guys are gonna be out of position, scrambling and not playing five guys on a string. And that's certainly what we saw a lot of disconnected defensive plays by the Clippers. They lose one eighteen to one ten to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Morris and Long Beach hit me with some positivity. Please Snow'm gonna give me the gospel of the Clippers showed me some hope today. They really did. The three Guards. The three Guards showed out. I'm talking about Jackson when he hit that shot in the first half and tied the game, and then he hit another shot in game the Clippers the first lead. I was glad to see that Paul got his act together a little bit better. But let me tell you, go back to the first quarter. He wasn't acting

right. The coach pulled him out early and then brought him back in, you know, and then John Wall. This is just my opinion. Everybody's got one. I think that John wall is gonna have ford general of this team. Really, the guy can get to the rim anytime he wants to do. He can do anything he can dish. If they float out on the turnovers, they'll be pretty good. Like a previous caller said, I don't think you can be the college team with them many turnovers. But I'm

not really worried about the Clippers. It's early in the season. I like your reference to what Phoenix did you know? Early in the season is still early here. But I'm just glad that the Guards showed what they could do. Jackson looked good again, Paula looked good, and John Wall and again john Wall, he's gonna have to just take over and say I'm the Ford General and that's it. Y'all good behind me and we're gonna be all right. And if I see you on Sun deal, okay, my brother,

all right, appreciate it. Morris. Yeah. A lot of people have been asking is John Wall gonna be the starter? Is he gonna be the Ford General? It may happen at some point. Night's like tonight where only has one turnover to six assists and just completely changes the complexion of the game, the dynamic of the game with his bill to drive to kick to get to the free throw line was four or five there. Clippers only attempted at

eighteen in this game, but the thunder. I don't think they attempted a free throw till the midway point of the third quarter and they were still up. So the Clippers got into that track meet. That's how they got back into the game, the big turnaround the end of the second quarter. But they kept it going in the third quarter and they couldn't keep up with Okac because they were giving them extra possessions due to turnovers, and Wall is still

in a minute restriction. He only played twenty one so maybe that's the reason we're not seeing it yet. And Reggie Jackson wasn't much better in this game and he's playing through are going injury right now. But John wall has been exceptional. He's exceeded all my expectations. And I'm not really surprised because I watched him in Houston a couple of years ago in those forty games, and I saw the burst was still there, and I posted it on Twitter at

follow Adam May some of his most explosive plays from that season. This off year off season during the summer in July, I said, wow, if the rumors are true, the Clipers are getting John walla looks like he still got it. And he does seventeen points in twenty one minutes. And it's not just his ability to score, like he was trying to will them to win. If you're looking for someone to get behind, John Wall has been one of those guys so far this season. He showed leadership Clippers, though

not enough. Tonight they lose no okay, see one eighteen to one, ten turnovers, offensive rebounds, and the defense on the perimeter failed them in the fourth quarter. We'll take a quick time out, we'll come back, we'll wrap things up. We'll previous Sunday's game against the Pelicans. You're listening

to Clipper stock here on the M five seventy only Sports. I feel this one you've been Oh, Paul George La Clippers basketball continue pace in his paints as he carries the three on the home of your La Clippers Callia Clippers could use a little home cooking right now if they're losing two and okay, see they fault tonight one eighteen to one ten two the Pelicans. Welcome back into

Clippers talk. I'm out of Moslin. You know, people are talking about the Clippers being two and three and underperforming so far this season, and obviously they're gonna take some heat for that, but they're not the only ones. And the Denver Nuggets have a couple of losses, Golden State has a couple of losses, Dallas has a couple of losses. Some of the premier teams

in the Western Conference haven't clicked in or played well yet. But the Pelican Kins gave the Dallas Mavericks one of those losses the other night, and they did so without Brandon Ingram or Zion Williamson. So the Clippers can't think if those two guys were out and we know brandon Ingram didn't travel with them on Sunday, that they can coast through that game. They gotta find just consistency within the offense and take care of the basketball and get back to playing defense

like they had been the first four games of this season. They were good enough there they could overcome the turnovers in the lack of offense. Not tonight, not in the fourth quarter, not in the second half. Or they gave up sixty five points in the second half of the game, an efficient sixty five to okay see, and that just big backbreaking three pointers down the stretch when the Clippers were trying to rally after they already did down eighteen.

I tweeted out in the first quarter when they were down big still feels like Clippers come back. Oh, they came back. They were up by seven at the half, but they gave it back offensive fouls, moving screens, turnovers. They lose one eighteen to one ten. But it is still early. And I'm gonna say it because when there's seventy seven more games left. How can you really panic? It's tough to do that. I mean, I was looking at eventual NBA champions through four games and I saw this stat.

Twenty six of them, and this is in National Basketball Association history. Twenty six of them. Yeah, started off four and zero. Twenty eight of them started three and one, but seventeen eventual NBA champions start off two and two. Five started one and three. Now the Clippers are two and three. I don't know what the odds say now, but they started one in four. Last year, I ended up with a winning record, and

we're hoping the Calvary's on the way. Paul George is feeling better with two days off on Sunday, and hopefully Kawhi Leonard's back and Marcus morrise, that could be just what the doctor ordered.
