Here at Crypto

Eight seven seven five to two zero eleven fifty is the phone number. Eight seven seven five to two zero eleven fifty is the phone number. Wild ballgame, Carlos, you said it felt like a
Game seven. It was the most physical game I've ever seen in person, with what the referees were allowing out there, and Dallas got hot from beyond the arc during winning time, during clutch time in the fourth quarter, and
that proved to be the difference. It really did, Adam. I mean the Mavericks hit six of their fourteen threes in the final period, and that did in the Clippers, and they hit timely threes and their role players hit three, something their role players didn't do much of at all in Game one.
It's a confidence builder for Dallas, and I think that's what's so crushing about this loss, not that you lost the game, but the way Dallas was able to build up those others for Luca to find that comfortability, for them to realize ways they can have advantages on the Clippers hurts for the Clippers. The question is going to be, how do you find a better way to get this offense going and how do you find a way to keep a
Vita Zubats on the floor. You talked about it, but he was excellent in all his minutes, and the Clippers went away from him late, trying to go small, getting a little more switchability on the floor, but it did not finish the way they wanted it to here in Downtown. To me, that's where the game swung. I know I'm gonna get calls about this post game because coach Lou does rely on small ball at times. He's very
comfortable with it. But Ivita Zubats was getting some easy buckets, and I understand the move because you want more switchability with Dallas starting to hit threes on the perimeter, so you don't want to have a big man out there to guard those guys at the three point line. But Aviza Zubats was a source for their offense in the fourth quarter and was being found for easy ones. And to me, he's just one of those guys that you got to rely on at this point. But I trust in coach Lou. I trust this
team to bounce back. We did see Kawhi Leonard tonight. I thought it was an up and down performance, but he progressed and got better as the game went along. You could say, Carlo, it just looked like he was starting to find his footing. He was getting some jumpers to fall, he was getting a floater to go in the paint. That physicality was there, the steal and the dunk to start off the fourth quarter of the second
half. Here as this game was a blur with the amount of physicality, But there are positives to take away, and the biggest one will be number two being able to play in game two one hundred percent. And you're right, his legs weren't unumber. I think he missed all five is three short. If I had to guess, I think everything was just off the lip of the rim. But look, let's be honest. I mean the Clippers weren't sweeping this series. That's not gonna happen. The Clippers haven't won a
series in less than six games all but once in their franchise history. If you're a Clipper fan, you are stressed every time they play a playoff game. They don't make things that easy. Maybe game one to start, but for the most part, playoff series do not end up being simple sweeps for the Clippers. So Luca and Dallas they got their punch, They got the
Clippers on it off night, and they played well. But I think for the Clippers, there's so much room for improvement and a lot of uncharacteristic things in this game that you feel like they got a good shot to split them in Dallas, make it a best of three. Coming back home for Game five, they need to the Dallas. At this point, I have just taken home court advantage away from the Clippers, and it looked like the Clippers
had an opportunity to take a stranglehold of this series. If they could have pulled this one out tonight, but now they need a victory in Dallas. Now, going back to twenty twenty one, well, they won their three times. It wasn't an issue for them in front of that crowd. Kawhi
Leonard with the magnificent Game six with forty five points. But that Game three was the turning point of the series with the Clippers down two games to none, and they were down thirty to eleven in the first quarter, and it looked like Dallas was hunting for that kill shot and they were about to go up three to zero on the Clippers, and that's when that resilient nature kicked
in. They came back in that ballgame. The rest is history. They would get to the Western Conference Finals for the first time as a franchise. But it's going to take that grittiness and this level of defense. But with a few more shots falling for the Clippers and just easier buckets out there, they got to find some easier ones because Dallas the defense showed tonight. Their defense is well we've been talking about the last couple of months with Luka Dancis
playing better on the defensive end. Now and giving effort there with Kyrie Irving, who was guarding James Harden throughout a lot of this ballgame, you could see it they were much more connected and they may have found something with more minutes for Derek Lively and more minutes now for Maxi Kleba, which was what we saw at the end of game one. Carlo one hundred percent. I mean it feels like they've moved their chess pieces. They feel like they have
the advantage. Now will how will tyleru adjust his own chess pieces coming up for game three. I think it's a great point you'd talk about. They've been able to win in Dallas, They've been able to play well in Dallas, and they know what's coming for them, and they got Kawhi Leonard back and Ivitsa Zubatz continues to be a problem if he doesn't get in foul trouble. Clippers made ten less threes than they did last game. I think also
there's something to be said about Luca getting those late shots. I'm sure the Clippers will look at how they guarded him in this game. I thought they had a fantastic job for the most part on Kyrie Irving, who was eight for eighteen to get to twenty three points. He did have three steals, though he was great on the defensive end. Clippers got outshine of the free
throw line Adam four to twelve in the fourth quarter. According to Brian Dancelar, statistician, Dallas was more aggressive, they got to the line more, and they finished things down the stretch. It's a it's a playoff series. This is the fun part. How do you adjust? How do you move your pieces? How do you make your disadvantage in game two your advantage in game three. I cannot wait to see it unfold. Friday can't come soon enough, and I think this Clippers. Friday also can't consume enough. They
want to rank their wrongs tonight. As you brought up during the ballgame, it felt like a game seven. Well, we may get five more of these before this series is over. Well, we have a moment. Eleven fifty is the phone number. Eight seven to seven, five to two, zero eleven fifty is the phone number. The Dallas Mavericks came alive from distance late in this game and hit some clutch, timely three pointers. Fourth quarter shooting from three six of nine for the Dallas Mavericks.
Clippers were four of nine, but it was the difference a couple of more Maine three pointers in a game where both teams were starved for points. This game was played under one hundred. It was the most physical game that I've ever witnessed in person. Not hyperbole, not an exaggeration. I've never seen anything like it. We've heard people talk about the physicality that has come
over the last couple of months. As it seems that the officials were told to let a little bit more go as offense was getting out of control, and it's had an effect in these playoffs too. You heard it yesterday, Darvin Ham was talking about a post game after the Lakers Denver Nuggets game. Probably gonna hear about it a ton tonight postgame on our call in show Clippers
Talk. We have some postgame audio from Coach Lou and the players after the Clippers fall ninety six to ninety three at home here to the Dallas Mavericks and Kawhi Leonards return. your Clippers post game show coming up on the Patriot Am eleven fifty. We'll have Clippers Talk eight seven seven five to two zero eleven fifty eight seven seven, five to two zero eleven fifty speaking of same as it ever was type of things. Luka Doncic stepped up huge in the fourth quarter, had seven of his game high thirty two points, but maybe the biggest shot of the
game the dagga. While the Clippers still had opportunities late, he hit a three in the face of James hard and a step back three, a hardened like three. Now it's Luka Doncic who is making this one of his most famous moves. With a minute twenty six left that put Dallas up by nine, Harden responded right out of the time out, was wide open. He hit a three pointer. The Clippers made it interesting. Kawhi Leonard had an
opportunity late and it looked like he was fouled by Kyrie Irving. In fact, it was called a foul initially, it was reviewed and overturned, and I guess it's only appropriate in a game where they let him play more so than I had seen in any game live in person. They would overturn that call and so that three point opportunity for Kawhi Leonard ended up just being two points. The Clippers played the foul game, Dallas would hit their shots.
The Clippers fall late by three. Kawhi Leonard did return, had fifteen on seventeen shots in thirty five minutes. It is a positive he was able to go for thirty five minutes. It was a positive he was able to play. Paul George twenty two points seven to fourteen shooting. James Harden with two big Zoo didn't get up seventeen shots, just twelve shots, had thirteen points. Difference in the ballgame to me was a beats the zoobots being taken out
at the seven minute mark, the Clippers were down by three. They quickly went down by eight. The small ball was ineffective. Kyrie Irving hit a big three pointer as Russell Westbrook was shading off of him to help out with Luka Doncic. He would also hit a tough baseline floater over Paul George. Kyrie Irving and PJ Washington hit back to back three pointers. Some tough shots
in the fourth quarter. Give him credit. Maxi Kleeba would also come up with a big three pointer again six of nine from three and the fourth of the Dallas Mavericks and the Clippers fall by three two three point shots ninety six ninety three was your final outside of Los Angeles. Clippers led by one heading into the fourth quarter. They quickly built up a lead that I thought, in a game where points were at a premium, it's been the phrase of the night, might be a safe enough lead. They were up by six, the biggest lead of the ballgame. But in a game like this, nobody scored one hundred and it just felt like a grind it out, dig it out of the mud rock fight make it
a boulder fight. I thought that Clippers had the momentum after Big Zoo had a couple of buckets early a Norn Powell three pointer to start off the fourth quarter. Clippers led seventy three to sixty seven. The Dallas Mavericks would respond. PJ. Washington tough bucket, Luca to the free throw line, one of two. It's seventy three seventy Clippers. Then PJ. Washington knocks down
on three. Luka Doncic hits a three pointer. Things had flipped that quickly, nine to zero run by Dallas. They were up seventy six to seventy three. But this may have been the turning point. And I understand the move, but coach Lou went small. We've seen it time and time again. He's more comfortable with it. He seems to fall back to going small when things get dicey, and he had Russ Harden PG Norman Kawhi out there. I understand the reasoning. They're hitting threes. You want better defenders on
the perimeter and more switchability. But it was ineffective tonight and Big Zoo was the guy and the only guy getting easy buckets down low. In the fourth quarter out of the time out with Russ in for Big Zoo, Kyrie Irving hits a three pointer as Russ, who I thought had some spectacular plays, tip outs, offensive rebounds, defensive rebounds, the block on Derek Lively, but a bad defensive play as he shaded off of Kyrie Irving to help out.
James harden on Luka Dacic, and Kyrie knocked down a twenty nine foot three pointer wide open. You can't leave Kyrie Irving. That's the difference with this Dallas Mavericks team. Now. It's not just Luca and others in role players. It's not Tim Hardaway Junior out there, who I think left this game due to injury. No disrespect. He can get hot, he can light you up. But we're talking about Kyrie Irving, a top seventy five player. Ever, Russ is two. He's got to know you can't leave
him open. James was playing Luka Doncics well enough. I understand it's Luca that can be an issue. You'd rather have Kawhi or Paul George on him. It's not that simple. With the screens they said all the time, and the sets they run, and if they leave their man to come cross court to switch on Luca. He surely is gonna find the guy. They left for an easy bucket, but that three pointer by Kyrie Irving put him
up by six. And then on the other end the Clippers had a heartbreaking possession where first Norman Powell missed a two along to Russell Westbrook tipped it out and those two make it. It was a Kawhi Leonard jumper that was short as a lot of his word. Tonight we'll talk more about Kawhi, his performance, how he looked the assessment with the sports science and how he was
moving out there in a little bit. But he misses one. Norm Powell and Russell Westbrook are at the basket and both had easy tip ins that just didn't fall. The hustle was there, the heart was there. They were battling and they couldn't get it to go. Norm missed one, Russ missed one, Nor missed one opportunities to bring it back to within four. And then on the other end, Kyrie Irving gets a little push shot on the far side, short corner over Paul George Well contested, doesn't matter, It's
Kyrie would hit a three pointer eighty one seventy six is the score. But then PJ. Washington responded right away with a three, and that's something that worries me. I thought he had a solid game one defensively, he didn't look afraid of the moment. Well, he certainly wasn't. In game two tonight, he woke up. That was a huge three. Kawhi would get fout on the other end, miss the first, something you rarely see.
The Clippers would end up getting a stop on the other end. Great defense on Luka Dancich did what they could, and then Paul George basically went coast to coast and got a tough circus layup to go. It's eighty four to seventy nine. Guess what happened though, Just before that, Evista Zubats came back into the ballgame. So in the time that he was taking out taken out to go small. It's gonna be a running theme in one of my major points tonight. At the seven oh one mark, the Clippers are down
three. By the time of Vitza Zubats is inserted back into the ballgame, they're down seven. Means they lost those minutes when they went small by four in a game they lost by three, crushing, but the Clippers keet battling, and as soon as Big Zoo came back in, Paul George found him with a great feed on the interior and Zu got a huge dunk. But then Maxi Kliba, who looked like he couldn't hit anything the first two games. This is scary, knocked down a big three. Dallas back up six,
then maybe the dagger, I guess. Eventually it was Luka Doncic with a step back three after Kawhi Leonard missed one in front of James Harden had a hand in his face. Doesn't matter. Luca lived for these moments. He wants to terrorize Clipper Nation. He was looking at the crowd, he was jarring back and forth. It's picked up a technical earlier. It's Luca.
This is what he does. This is what makes Dallas so terrifying at times, especially because he's got Kyrie next to him, who hit big shots in the fourth quarter now too, and that Dallas defense showed up for everyone telling me that Dallas defense was fake, fugazy regular season stuff. Even with Daniel Gafford playing ten minutes as he just looks lost out there. They could go small with Maxi Kliba. They had Derek Lively play twenty minutes, Josh
Green got run. Dallas is moving some chess pieces around. Now. They figured out a few things and how to optimize lineups, and defensively they were great. Granted, it was a nineties throwback night, and when you're allowed that much physicality out there, yeah, it favors the defense. But the Clippers settled for far too many threes when they weren't hitting them long jumpers.
And to me, when you have a guy like aviatsa zoo bots and I thought at the beginning of the fourth quarter they were gonna go back to him, and it was gonna be a wrinkle from Coach Lou that now we're gonna punish him with big Zoo. They're not gonna see this coming. You're up one and going into the fourth quarter, feed big Zoo, go at him. I thought they were gonna stick with that, and instead, when Dallas went up three, Coach Lou hit the small ball button. They go minus
four, they lose the game by three. I'm not saying it's as simple as that. The Clippers just need to be better. Russell Westbrook shading over on that Kyrie Irving play. That's one that can't happen another time, leading to the MASSI Kliba three. I believe it was Luka Dancich finding him after Paul George fell to the floor trying to go for a steal. The defense
was good initially, but he gambled. But it just stands out to me that Coach lou felt more comfortable going small like we have seen many times before, and Nicholas Batuma isn't out there anymore. Marcus Morris. The twenty twenty one version isn't, but the twenty twenty four version of Avisa Zubats is a completely different player than what we saw three years ago. I was stuck with
him. I don't know if that was their fatal flaw tonight, but to me, it's just what stood out the most in this loss, as the Clippers had an opportunity to take a stranglehold of this series, they lose by three ninety six. Ninety three is the final coming up. We will hear from Coach Loupo's game and the players. We're live from Crypto dot com arena. This series is tied up at a game apiece, with the Clippers going to Big d on Friday. Tip off for that one's at five. Pregame
back here at four. I'm at a Moslin and this is Clippers Talk here on the Patriot AM eleven fifty, Bill Mavericks and the Clippers. This is the NBA Playoffs on the LA Clippers Audio Network, stream US anywhere you go on the iHeartRadio app. The Clippers shoot their worst fuel goal percentage of the year at thirty six point eight percent from the field. Dallas wasn't much better at forty two percent, but they also shot forty two percent from three and
went six of nine from three in the fourth quarters. The Clippers lose game two by three, with the final score of ninety six to ninety three. Here at Crypto dot Com Arena, I'm at a Moslin. This his Clippers Talk here on the Patriot AM eleven fifty. Coming up, we'll hear from coach lou postgame. The Clippers missed twenty nine of forty shots outside the paint. Brutal. You know who can change that for you, The biggest guy in this series, who detonated with twenty and fifteen in Game one, Big
Zoo, who got seventeen shots up, who got featured now. A preview from coach Lou postgame is this. He said, Zoo getting into foul trouble early changed the game for us, and that makes sense because they were trying to go to him and he set two bone crushing fouls, one on Luca who was hitting the life alert, which I never see. It was not a flop. He got trucked as everybody was scrapping out there tonight. Just insane. The level of physicality Zoo set the tone. And then I think
it was Derek Jones Junior. He puts to the floor on his second foul. He goes out, Mason Plummet goes in. Clippers lose the first quarter twenty three to nineteen and shot five of twenty and one of four from three in the first quarter. Couldn't get anything to go outside of Paul George with eight points. Unfortunately, he only had seven points the rest of the game, and I take that back. He ended up with fourteen points the rest of the game. So they were trying to feature Viatza zoobots. You know
how I feel about this subject. There's an easier path to win ball games, and it starts with feeding big sue. Those are punishing, taxing, physical plays, and in a game that was played with this level of physicality, to me, you just had to get it to Zoom wore in the second half because he finished with those two personal fouls. He never filed again.
He played thirty three minutes. It's not nothing, but those four minutes where he left in the fourth quarter when they went small and they would lose those minutes by four points in a game they lost by three, were critical, consequential, and ultimately that's where the game was lost. In my mind, Dallas hit threes. They stepped up Lucas Luca Kyrie's Kyrie Clippers have to be better with game plan, assignment and discipline out there. I don't care
that Luka doncons is being guarded by James Harden. He at least had him on the baseline. He at least could use that as the other defender and force him that way. And if he goes by you for a two pointer, you can live with that. Which you can't live with is Kyrie Irving getting a wide open three. It was a deep three. It's a shot he makes all the time. And Russ sagged off and shaded towards James Harden to help out on Luca and Kyrie killed him. It's Kyrie irving over there.
So there's two guys that can beat you now eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty Tajes and Walnut. You can start things off after the Clippers lose ninety six ninety three in Game two. Tajus, you're probably the most cogent caller when it comes to analysis. So what do you got to know? Well, Adam, I agree with you, like I think when Zoo got fellt trouble and we just forgot
about him really until that fourth quarter. And what else is new forgetting about Zoo? Nowadays have more ones Hockeway, they got something to say, and then it comes out when they move the lips, just a bunch of gibberish. They forgot about Zoo. That's so true, Adam. I think we'll
see more of Zoo next game. But a few other points would be I think we got we were so slow getting into our offense again, and James Harden wasn't hitting the threes, he was doing a lot of dribbling, and it just took a long time to get in the sets, and that was one of the things that always played them during their struggles this year. And you know, when Zoo was out, I thought, you know, they could still run some high pick and rolls and generate some more open shots.
But it didn't seem we had some, but not as many clean open shots as we would like. So were you watching the game on TV or were you here at Cryptotagus No, I'm interested in hearing how the physicality translated to the TV screen, because being here in person, this was the most physical game I've seen live. You could tell on TV it was pretty physical. I've never seen anything like it. It was borderline rec I thought somebody was
gonna get hurt. I don't want to sound too soft, but there were some just insane plays and fouls that weren't being called a mere coffee asking for that foul and Luca Dodgers in the second half, Luca getting teed up because he thought he was fouled go into the basket Like I couldn't believe some of the stuff they were letting go. I just never seen anything like it. No, No, I agree, And it didn't cost the Clipers of the
game. That is not why they lost whatsoever. I thought for the most part it was called fairly just physically, it was even on both sides. Yeah, I thought it was nothing to do with the rest. More of our struggles came on the offensive end. I would say for the most part, our defense was pretty solid. I just think that we got to execute little better, get get into our sets a lot quicker, and I know Kawi was rusty, and it looked like the team was out of sorts.
And you initially I thought Paul Georgian when he hit those first couple of jump shots, that he was going to have a big night. But then for some reason he got lost and they didn't. He didn't get enough shots up, and I was just really surprised that, you know, he kind of took a little back seat. And I guess they're trying to work it out again with Kawhi, So you know, I expect them to work it out and you know, see it more fluid and and they'll they'll come back on
Friday, you know. You know, last last series, they each home team lost every game until Clippers won Game seven at home. So Clippers can win on the road. It's not a big deal. They got enough vets, but just got to execute a little bit better on the offensive end and we'll see Big Zoo, you know, dominate some more. But if they recognize that he can consistently, that's the path to winning this series. To me, big Zoo has the advantage. It's playing. It's easy to see.
So I agree with you. Thank you for the phone call to Agus. I like what you said about the shot distribution there. It was almost too balanced, as in, you're not getting it to a guy who has a hot hand enough like Paul George did early with eight points, three or five shooting in the first quarter. He only gets up two shots in the second quarter. After that, he finished with only taking nine more shots in
the ballgame. After the first quarter. We thought he was going to be due after going eight for twenty in Game one, but clutch shots down the stretch eleven of his twenty two points in the fourth quarter. I'm not saying reintroducing Kawhi Leonard upended the offense. I think it was more about the defense and what Dallas was able to do in the way they were able to play out there. Same with the Clippers. It was just a culture shock.
Oh they're letting this much go guys were getting smacked, guys were getting crushed. I thought I was watching. Was it Charles Smith who had all those opportunities in the basket against the Chicago Bulls at the very end of that game in ninety three, Yes, it was. It was nineties basketball and it
was an off night shooting wise. You combine those two things and you end up shooting your worst percentage from the floor on the season at thirty six point eight seven seven five to two zero eleven fifty eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty. Clippers lose Game two, ninety six to ninety three. Taj's also brought up Kawhi Leonard. My overall assessment of the ballgame, It was about what you could expect from Kawhi, considering he had been out for over
three weeks. His first game, he played thirty five minutes, said postgame, he feels good, great sign there, but he was short with most of his jumpers, didn't have the legs. Whether that's because he's not quite one hundred percent yet or because it's just fatigue and getting his second win, because well, you can't prepare for NBA minutes on the floor, especially playoff minutes like this. You can't reproduce that in practice, especially with the way
today's game was played. Fifteen points on seven of seventeen shooting h five from the outside. Did have four steals. He had that steal and dunk. I want to say it was that early third quarter. Yes, it was start of the third quarter when Derek Gladley, by the way, got the start in the second half of the Dallas Mavericks. So they're pushing buttons now. They played with desperation. They wanted this one bad. They didn't want
to go down oh two. They saw enough from Daniel Gafford Derek Glyadley's starter. That's a quick trigger move by Jason Kidd. But you can understand it. Gafferd just doesn't have it right now at all. He also left the game again and went to the locker room. Looked to be damed up. Kawhi had a great defensive possession against Jones. Junior got a turnover. It was eventually PG with the steel, but the defense and why it happened was
because of Kawhi Leonard being smothering. So we saw dounk We saw the layup that we thought was nan one late from him. We saw some push shots in the lane when he stopped settling for jumpers. A couple of different times he got a little floater to go, a little hook shot to go. I like seeing that. You would think if he was one ramped up timing and rhythm was there. Yeah, maybe the Clippers pulled this one out, but you knew coming in the situation Kawhi wasn't gonna be at full force right
away off the bat. Still encouraging signs him playing encouraging. I thought after game one, them getting that victory, they wouldn't even try him in game two. They already got the split, give him more time off, get him ready for game three or game four. So to me, that says he must have been feeling pretty good that they were chasing this one tonight and not just settling for the split here without him. But the offense definitely was
thrown off. I don't think because Kawhi. I think because the way the game was played, and maybe guys were being a little bit too unselfish. Just seem like they lacked a rhythm and a focus. Who's the guy that's gonna carry us for a bit here, where's the source of our offense coming from? Norman Powell, by the way, is unfortunately in a funk. This is surprising to me because Norm has been great all season long, and
it has been great in the playoffs for the Clippers. Had forty two in that game three right here at Crypto last season against the Phoenix Suns without two to one three. He is four verse sixteen from the field in this series so far, he's three of six from the outside. He's only taken six three pointers. They're running him off the line. He talked about that in practice. They're aware of the season that he had should have been top three
and six Man of the Year voting. I'm gonna said that right now. Put him over who I'll put him over, Bobby Portis. I'm fine with nas Reed being there. I'm fine with Malink Monk, but normOn Pal needs to be top three as well. Norm shot forty four percent from three on the season. So Dallas came in, they circled that. They knew they would have to slow him down. They have so far, and that's consequential for the Clippers. That's a big deal. That's something worth monitoring. Russ
was two of nine. He hit a big three pointer. He also had back to back possessions where he missed a layup and then went one on three in transition against the Dallas Mavericks and got blocked. As you would expect, he did have a block making up for that against Derek Lively, but a little bit out of control at times. We'll take a quick time out. Clippers lose Game two ninety six to ninety three. Here at home at Crypto dot Com Arena to the Dallas Mavericks. I'm Adam Oslin and you're listening to

Clippers Mavericks continues now stream us anywhere you go on the iHeartRadio app. Lose in Game two ninety six to ninety three in a no blood, no foul contest, and I mean that never seen a more physical game where the refs let more go in person and the Clippers are on the wrong end of it. They lose by three as Dallas got hot from
three in the fourth quarter. They came into the fourth just eight of twenty four from the outside, and they go six of nine in that fourth quarter timely shots, most of them open as Luca Dantis was creating some mismatches here and there. Two came to guard him. Other guys were left open. Keith and La you're on clipper stop for that Amazon, Hi, Keith, what's up man? We're gonna be all right at him. And I know you know that everything you always say your breakdowns is always on the one.
Bruh. You know what I'm saying. At the end of the day, I really believe this, We're going to be all right. It was just a three point loss. I don't have pretty you know, just listening to my radio and all that stuff, and I'm listening to you going to the physicality and all that. But at the end of the day, it was a three point loss. I'm simply saying, I think what you're saying,
and the previous callers said before me. Definitely some execution issues. That doesn't make any sense why Norman Powell didn't have like thirteen to night or something like or whatever. You know what I'm saying. You know so, and I know that probably has to do with the return of Kawhi. We're so thankful for that. But that that, like you said, with coaching and all
that, it's some chess. Last time we talked about even like alluded to a little chest, there's some chess pieces there at them, there's some serious chess pieces. And we're even with all of that, justing and this, that and the other. That's why I don't like this loss. And I'm not excusing it, not excusing it at all. I don't like this loss. But at the end of the day, it was only by three.
And let me tell you, man, like you were saying, Man, I'm gonna tell you for me, and I'll say this couple of things. I'll let you respond Dallas that it is just me personally, Dallas. The Nuggets and the Celtics are about the few teams that really make me chew off all of my fingernails when it comes to the Clippers. You know what I'm
saying, I got this, Yeah, you know what I'm saying. So but but that said, what we experienced the night, and even some funky rap calls that happens, you know, life, and all that, we still only lost by three, Adam and Clipper Nation. We just got to regroup. We got a focus and focus and all that, and just you know what I'm saying, Adam, I'll kind of defer a little bit and let you respond to my brother. No, I appreciate it. Keith is
always one of my favorites. They do need to regroup a little bit offensively. I just felt like the game plan discipline wasn't there. You mentioned execution. Some of it's just guys missing shots, some open shots they typically make. Some of it was Dallas's defense. Some of it was not being intentional enough with how they were attacking the Dallas Mavericks. I think Josh and Sierra Madre Josh on clippersack with that. I'm awesome. Hey, Adam, I
appreciate you taking my call. I'm not I'm glad I played. Now. I felt they could have won this game without him, but I am glad that he played. He got his legs under him, and he kind of
got better as the game went along. Now you kind of said to yourself, his jump shot was really short, and hopefully he spends a couple more days in practice getting that down because they're going to need him to hit those shots throughout the rest of the series, because this is a dogfight now, as Kyrie and Luca have shown you that they are in this for the long haul. So that's my observation number two, you kind of hit it on
yourself. Norman has not looked right now. He ain't made a big shot early in the fourth quarter, but other than that, he's not missing. He was missing a lot of short shots inside the paint. He needs to start hitting those. And my last point is I did not understand taking Westbrook out. Westbrook they need his energy, Like his energy is so vital. There's more things, there's things that are more important than energy and its execution.
And he took some bad shots two of nine from the field. He did hit a big three, and I liked his spirit defensively for the most part and the boards he was getting. But I believe he was taken out, coach lew said, because he had played him for something like twenty straight minutes, and that's one of the reasons he was out for a second. But again, his defensive laps gave up that three point to Kyrie Irving.
That was a huge, huge play that just can't happen. I don't disagree with that, But my point is when he came out, that's when Dallas made their run. So having him out there was important. I get what you're saying, and yes, he blew the assignment on Tyrie's three. But you also can't say it's not a coincidence that Dallas went on their run when he came back, Boss Josh. That's when they went small, and that's really when Dallas made their run. That's true. I honestly didn't didn't like
the small ball lineup. I didn't think it was very effective. But Westbrook's energy is very important to the team. That's all I'm saying it is. But everybody's playing with energy now. It's the playoffs that you could see. Everybody was on the floor. Everybody was going nuts out there at this ball game. I presee the phone call though, Josh gotta take a quick time
out last one. Clippers lost ninety six to ninety three. Love overall what Russ has brought so far, but they got to be more sound in those big moments down the stretch. Hopefully that changes in Game three in Dallas on Friday. More on that coming up right here on Clippers Stock on the Patriot

They gotta win a game in Dallas. Game three is Friday. I'm Ata Moslin. This is Clippers Talk. Final phone call the night. Jose in Southgate. Jose, what's up? What's up at him?
All right? He said, We're only lost by three. We went up into we went up by one going into the fourth. And Corlin, it wasn't one hundred percent out there. He wasn't he wasn't going for fifty to fifty balls. There was a play with where Terrence Man was trying to hand off the ball to him, and he's just sure. He just walked on to the other side of the court. I'm like, all right, all that being said, like I said, it was only down by three.
We can't forget about Zoo and we can't forget about coffee. We can't afford another game where keeping quite inered in there when he's looking like that. But I'm glad he got a gauze to see how far he is from filling one hundred percent. We got three days. I believe, Adam, We're gonna be all right. Clipto clar first look. I want to make this clear. They did not lose this game because Kawhi looked rusty. Part of
the reason they got up by one hanging into the fourth was Kawhi. The hope now is he responds well to playing thirty five minutes in the NBA game for the first time in three weeks, not just any game, a playoff game, not just any playoff game, one of the most physical games I've ever seen two days off. That bodes well, but it's at least encouraging to see him play thirty five minutes. I didn't think he'd get up that many. I thought maybe thirty. It's a little bit scary as the Dallas
Mavericks and some of their others getting going. PJ. Washington, MAXI Kleiba, Josh Green something to keep an eye on a monitor moving forward. Before we get out of here, I do want to bring in Big Brother Jake Warner, the fake philosopher Big Brother Jake podcast on the podcast one network. Big Bro, what's up Yo?
