The game is over. Paul George money in the pain, but the postgame reaction has just begot Kawhi Leonard is so smooth in the mid range. This is Clippers locker Room, a recap of today's game and a look ahead on your hope for La Clippers basketball. And now your host, you, sir, are a bad man, Adam Ousley. Clippers fall one twenty four to one oh seven to the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco. Welcome into your postgame show. Coming up your post game box scoring you'll hear from the head
coach, Ron lu and the players. But first back to Chase Center and back to your voice of the Clippers in the Noah Eagle. So no, it just looked like this was a game where the Clippers started off hot offensively, the defense though, never really clicked in, and then the offense stalled out too many times. Yeah, and that was basically it. You're spot on with it. One hundred and seven points this year for the Clippers would
generally be enough to get them a victory. They only give up one hundred five point eight points per game on average coming in of the night, and so they give up a season high and points and field goal or not field goal per centers, but three's made assists overall. And how about this stat from our friend Shane Young, who writes for four sports, Golden State's ninety fifth game with at least thirty five assists and the Steve Kurr era they are
ninety one and four in those games. I mean, that is just ridiculous. Sharing up the sugar if you will add them. And twelve of them came from Draymond Green, nine from Steph Curry, even five from Jordan Pool. And you look at the way they got those assists. A lot of them came on backcuts, a lot of them came on miscommunications from the Clippers defense, A lot of them came on second chance opportunities swing it to an
open three point shooter. I mean eighteen second chance points for a Golden State Warriors team that on the season is near the bottom of the league in that category at eleven point six per game. And those are the types of things without your superstars, you just cannot allow. And so the Clippers will regroup, they'll go back to the drawing board, they'll watch the film, they'll
flush this and they'll move forward. But obviously doesn't help when you've got not just Kawhi Leonard and Paul George out in this game, but Luke Kennard as well, who obviously everyone thinks about the shooting with him, his defense is supremely improved as well. Yeah, one guy, do want a highlight.
Who's played very well next to Luke Kennard for a while now. Terrence Man had ten of his seventeen points and took over for a little bit there in that third quarter, a couple of three pointers that got to the basket. I just really liked to fight from team Man, no doubt about it. And Terrence has shown a different level of comfortability and confidence over the last couple of weeks. I love the fact that he shot that three ball with confidence
they're going to count as three for three. They counted that one step back as a long two with a foot on the lines, better for the percentage. And overall, he went seven of eleven from the floor, attacking the rim, finding his teammates, did a good job for the most part of taking care of the ball, still playing his stellar defense. So to finish with seventeen points against this team is never an easy feat, no matter the
situation. In the game, but I thought Terrence had a really good job of not forcing it but also being aggressive while letting the game come to him simultaneously cliver his neck. This game is on Friday. They are back home facing the Denver Nuggets. Tip time at seven thirty. Will Clippers countdown at six thirty, Noah Eagle, great call is always my friend. Clippers also outrebounded by two and the Golden State Warriors had thirty six
assists. Clippers just weren't good enough defensively. Offensively, it scored one oh seven. It's not a great number, but considering how good their defense has been over all this season, and there was a big test for them, But without Kauai, without Paul George, without Luke Kennard out there, Warriors just swarmed them, especially down the stretch in that fourth quarter. Clippers had hadn't scored three minutes into the fourth and they had multiple offensive rolls to go
along with just defense. That wasn't good enough against a Golden State team that ends up going nineteen to fifty one from distance thirty eight percent and forty nine percent overall. Steph Curry ended up with twenty two, but it was Andrew Wiggins who led them with thirty one points and really was able to counter a couple of Clippers runs in the second half, specifically in that third quarter when
Marcus Morris got hot, when Terrence Man got hot. He and Steph Curry, I should say, who had a couple of three pointers to end the third to put the Golden State Warriors back up by sixteen were critical. Also at follow Adam a coming up. We're looking for coach lou postgame audio. But we knew it was gonna be tough. I was talking about it on the Clips and
Dip podcast yesterday with Charles Mockler and William Updyke. But it felt like wrong place, wrong time type of game for the Clippers, a scheduling loss for them because Golden State just rested about all their starters and their forty point loss to the Pelicans, and you knew you were going to get their best shot, and the Clippers did. And the Golden State Warriors shot a lot of
threes. They hit nineteen of them and had thirty six assists. And the Clippers number two offense wasn't good enough without Kauai, without Paul George, no Luke Canard to provide a spark for them with their three points shooting, and he's been a very solid defender so far this season with so many guys down where that's a big loss right now, Clippers could really use him. They
had their moments. I thought they played well enough in that first quarter offensively, they had twenty nine points there, and they were hanging tough and they were playing hard and getting into the basket. But that really stopped in the second quarter, and multiple times in this game they went through deep offensive funks.
In the second quarter. They had five points in the first five minutes, that's it of that second period, and then they closed the quarter scoring just seven points in the last five minutes, and Golden State went on an eighteen to four run to close out the half. Clippers offense looked to be finding themselves the last two games with Kawhi Leonard back because of all the attention that goes his way, it just makes things much easier for everyone else out
there. But without him, even when he just scores eight points against the Utah Jazz, the Clippers they just don't have enough to keep up with the firepower of the Golden State Warriors. You know, I wouldn't say they were outworked as much as they were just out talented. Tonight, Golden State was ready and waiting, and they've been really good at home. They're seven and one now eight and one at home, and the Clippers dropped to five and
four on the road, eleven and eight. Overall, there were some good performances in the third quarter. Terrence Man had a ten points spurred a couple of three pointers that went to the basket. Marcus Morris had his own ten points spurred in the third he had nineteen points. He led them with those
nineteen points. Had a great in one play, but too much erratic play offensively, and not enough attacking the basket, not enough drive, kick, swing, and just not enough healthy guys right now to compete against the Golden State Warriors team that was hungry and just licking their chops to get back home to get Steph Curry back in the lineup, And it was really he and Andrew Wiggins that stifled the Clippers. There were two momentum shifting plays in this
one second quarter. Clippers had it to within five and Reggie Jackson had just a bad turnover where he threw it right into the hands of Andrew Wiggins. He goes down the other side, gets the end one. They're up eight. They eventually get back up double digits and have that eighteen four run to end the second quarter, and then in the third quarter, the Clippers had it to within eleven a few different times. They had a run out two
on one fast break and Reggie Jackson threw it up for man. He wasn't ready for the lob and I think Wiggins came back and hit a three pointer or hit a two pointer, but he had I think eight points during a two minute stretch. And then Steph Curry hit a couple of big three pointers to end the third quarter, and after the Clippers did get it down to nine thanks to Marcus Morris's play. At one point, they were down sixteen heading into the fourth and they were just da to start the fourth quarter.
They didn't score in the first three minutes until a vita Zoobots had a bucket Javier and lahabra labbra heights Javier your on Clippers stopped that him. Also, it's up at him. Thank you for taking him out call again. You know, like you said earlier, it was a schedule, schedule loss. You know, they arrested their players, the Warriors, so you know, they were playing in San Francisco, so you know, just thought maybe they're
gonna, you know, get close but you know they tried. It's not you know, they they Tylou did what he could do, you know, but I don't make it really quick. Kawai. I mean at this point it's like, you know, this guy just kind of stay healthy. I mean, it's just there's not one thing that's another Adam. I mean at this point is like, you know, it's like how long is gonna be off now? So there is no timetable on the return of Kawhi, Leonard
or Paul George currently. That is what coach Lew said pregame. Yeah, and at the end of the you know, at the end of the day, I mean he could do Tyler could do what he could do, you know. I mean you gotta change the lineups and you know, I mean it's probably frustrating for type because you know, one day he has there's a group of players. In the next game, you don't have jail the group of players. So at the end of the day, I mean, I
was just you know, somehow they gotta stay healthy. I mean specially Kawhi, I just got what what do you do though? What do you scream at the body and stay stay healthy? What what can you do? It's bad luck. It is bad luck too, but I mean it's just yeah, I mean they know they want to stay healthy, Javier, they want to be out there and playing. Yeah. Yeah, So we'll see. We'll see what see, you know, prescribe him that a couple of days. All right, Adam, you have a good offense giving though, we'll
touch you some. You two. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Javier, I will wait for Morris. I just threw him on hold. We'll take a quick time out. We'll come back. Clippers fall one twenty four to one oh seven to the Golden State Warriors. Look, the Clippers are eighty one and thirty three when Kauhai is active since he's been a Clipper, a great record, but now they're sixty eight and sixty three when he's out. Just tells you the difference, the disparity between having your superstar,
top five player, top three player and not having him. It makes all the difference in the world. And you could see not having him tonight, even with his scoring being down, you know, it made all the difference. Just having guys around him get me easier looks because the defense was so focused on Kauai and without him tonight, Clipper's offense really struggled defensively. They gave up one hundred and twenty four points and Golden State Warriors pretty much got
what they wanted on that end. More Clipper Stock, next Green the M five seventy only sports Conversations. I hate people that fel titled they give me a mazy kazigny. Thanks you, oh Paul George, LA Clippers basketball continue. I seen his faints as he carries the three on the home of your LA Clippers. I just want to make love to the whole glow without a

I just want to chill and listen outcasts, and that's so hard sound welcome back into Clippers stock. I'm not a Maslin. After they lose one twenty four to one O seven to the Golden State Warriors in NorCal, the Chase
Censer Clippers drop to eleven and eight on the season. No Kawai, no Paul George, no Luke Kennard. In this one, and we got this quote post game for our friend Andrew Greif speaking with the head coach in Toronto, Lou asking him if he had wished to be at full strength to have a litmus test against the Golden State Warriors. Coach lu replied, quote, I wish we were full strength against anybody, just to get our rhythm and establish how we want to play. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case this
year, but it's coming. This is the hope. We had Xavier call last segment, so we just got to get healthy. We just gotta get to some consistency with the health, from your lips to the basketball God's ears. It's all the Clippers need. Get this squad fully healthy and on the court. I believe Kawai and Paul George since becoming Clippers have only played together
in thirty five percent of the total games that were available. They've been awesome, they have a great record when they're out there, but they've been injury prone. We gotta be honest about that. It's been really unfortunate and they were missed tonight. I still thought there was some good performances, some guys playing hard. I feel like Nico Patum Nicholas Patum the last two games his activity level. I only only played eleven minutes tonight, but he's just been
everywhere out there on the court. I love the way he's moving. We saw a roco play. Maybe there was some of us after all, because in the twenty one minutes he played after a few dnps and being out of the rotation, he was one for seven, one of four from the outside, just those three points. Norman Powell, after having his thirty point Clipper high, had seventeen. Most of that damage was done in the first half. Reggie Jackson, coming off the twenty seven point game the other night,
just eleven points. Terrence Man was very good. He provided a spark in that third quarter, tried to take over, brought it to within eleven. Eventually Marcus Morris would bring it to within nine, but Steph Furu would hit a couple of three pointers tough, just backbreaking shots, and eventually the floodgates open for the Golden State Warriors. In that fourth quarter. They were up big. They win big, one twenty four to one oh seven over the
Clipper as well. We have a moment though, let's pause ten seconds for station identification here on AM five seventy l A Sports. This is LA Clippers Basketball A five seventy KLAC Los Angeles Night seven KYSR HD to Los Angeles and iHeart radio station Morrison Long Beach. What's up? You're on Clippers stop without Austin, Adam. I got a question for you. Did secondmental score one hundred feet to three one hundred feet to three points the other day on Golden
State? Uh? Let me look that up. I know they lost tonight to Atlanta and the Kings had been the hottest team in the West. Uh, let me see you on that right here? They put up no, no, they put up one hundred and thirty seven on the Pistons. Okay, well you know what, one hundred and fifty three points against the Brooklyn Nets. So you were right, right, score wrong upon it? Okay, so the Clippers one hundred and twenty seven points. I looked too bad. I want to I want to say this team, Adam, did you
know? I know you did. I'm just being silly. Did you know that the NBA runs for nine months? You got a ways to go? It's a marathon, right, ab twelve months, aber twelve months, and it runs for nine months? So, and I'm gonna tell you what I see these people are doing at the Clippers. They don't want to limp into the playoffs with their players sword and hurt whatnot. So I see the strategy.
And the Clippers got three teams. They got three teams. They got the team with Kawai and George. Oh, they're awesome, particularly with the defense on the perimeter, and Leonards were stud and then they got the team with just George leading them just pretty good. You know what they did with the Western Conference competition. And then they got that team when the George and Kawai doesn't play, And I don't know if that's if that team is going
to be Houston. But you know, if I'm gonna deal with being patient, i'd be I'd be patient in November and December. Then I would be in May and June, because if you get to May in June and you're hurting, there is no tomorrow. So you know they're gonna be okay. When I saw him the other day, they look sharp, and you know they lost the Golden States. They don't feel bad in World Champion Man thirty six or sists, Oh you head up, I'm talking about him, all
right, Morris. They look great against Utah. I thought it was the best win of the season. They look very good. They dominated the Saint Antonio Spurs before that. Both games though they had Kauai in limited minutes, though his impact was huge. However, they did end up pulled away from the Utah Jazz in the fourth quarter without him, and I was hoping some of that would carry over taking on Golden State, but the talent disparity was
just too big. The margin for error was too small for the Clippers to overcome. They had to play close to a perfect game if they were going to be Golden State tonight, and they were far from it. They lose one twenty four to one oh seven. I like the effort, some of the execution was lacking. Some of that to be expected, though, because the guys that are missing coming up next. The eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six ninety seven two five seventy is the phone number. We'll get to me at follow Adam a I tweeted this out earlier in the fourth quarter, when the game was no longer in question. There was some inconsequential time
going on. Clippers were down big, and I just said this. I don't know if it's the games or the spotty minutes restriction he's been on, but they need more consistent play from John Wall. And then I saw this quote from coach lou postgame. Andrew Griffe had it from the LA Times. He asked him about John Wall's last six quarters because he had the great first half against the Utah Jazz, I thought he was the engine driving their offense.
That Clippers team that had seventeen points, seventeen fast break points in a half, that was special. They looked different out there. They were running, they were moving the basketball, making quick decisions, and john Wall was leading them. But second half, he didn't play much, had a few turnovers in the third quarter. Clippers didn't need him to. They won the
ball game Monday night anyways. But here was coach Lew talking about john Wall's play, said, we just got to take into account that he hasn't played in two years, and as good as he's been for us all year, it's only his thirteenth or fourteenth game in two years. It's going to take some time for that. We understood that, and he's actually playing way better than I expected him to this early in the season. And that's the truth.
You can't replicate these live in game NBA action like the old SEGA game. You just can't replicate these live reps. You could do what you can in practice and five on five and training camp and pre season, but the NBA's is different. When you're taking on an opponent like the Golden State Warriors in this one, and I thought John Wall struggled for the most part. Had a wild circus layup he made, but finished just two for eight,
nine points, three assists, three turnovers. It's hard to find your rhythm and find any consistency right out the gate in the regular season when he's only played a dozen games. Now, we've seen great moments from him in transition, putting the ball behind his back and not even just flashy play, just getting downhill getting to the free throw line, and that has been a problem.
He went five of eight at the Charity Stripe tonight, but his free throw shooting is way down his percentage from where it typically is for his career. John Wall is a seventy seven percent free throw shooter, and he's shooting fifty nine percent right now. I think some of that is just mental, but maybe just being back in the arena and getting those reps at the Charity
stripe. But I gotta think just him getting off to us little start there at the free throw line to start the season, and now it's probably in his head to a degree where at one point he said, I'm shooting the free throws like I'm shack. He's let out some frustration about it. His shot just hasn't been there overall, but he has gotten to the basket and
he has looked quicker than he did in those forty games. He played a couple of years ago with the Houston Rockets, so it was gonna take time for him to get back in the sync and also on a new squad with new responsibilities and a different role of just being mostly a playmaker, not much of a scorer. And I think if he reels in and focus is focuses in, we're on those strengths, getting downhill, pushing the basketball, getting in transition, just looking for guys and trying to find the open player.
The Clippers really have a new element to their offense. They can unlock. That's what happened at times against San Antonio, and certainly in the first half with those seventeen fast break points against the Utah Jazz Monday night. I thought there were some really exciting moments and glimpses of things to come from John Wall. It's been up and down with his play, but there have been flashes that show you the potential of this team with him, and I think what
they were looking for when they brought him in. Clippers lose though tonight at one twenty four to one oh seven to the Golden State Warriors. Will take a quick time out, We'll come back.
