Parents man is pure on once again, He's Clippers Talk. I got calls on Clippers Talk, immediate reaction and analysis to today's game. That's what he's capable of, hosted by your pre and post game voice of the LA Clippers, Adam Osler. So let me get this straight. The team was the longest winning streak in the NBA just lost the team with the longest losing streak

by twenty four any given night in the Association. As the Clippers fall one, sixteen to ninety three to the New York Knicks, Welcome in to Clippers Talk. I'm Adam Oslin live from Crypto dot com Arena. Coming up, we got postgame audio from the head coach, and we'll get to your phone calls at eight sixty six ninety eight seven two five seventy eight six sixty nine

eight seven two five seventy is the phone number. Obviously a disappointing loss with the Clippers, who had won seven of eight, who had won five in a row, the Knicks loser of seven in a row. They had lost seventeen of their last twenty games, but now seventeen of their last twenty one or they won eighteen their last twenty one or they lost seventeen in the last twenty one excuse me, And two of those wins came against the Clippers.

I think that one through for a second. Yes, two of their wins when they've only had four in the last twenty one games have come against the Clippers. Sometimes styles make fights and there's bad matchups, and this might be one of them for the Clippers. But I thought a lot of self inflicted wounds effort wise in the first half, outside of a mere coffee and Terrence

Man. I thought Man was very good, crashing the boards, trying to go coast to coast, had a three pointer to start things off, was looking for his own shot and had seven of his eleven points in the first quarter. But the Clippers didn't look right from a physicality standpoint, and they were getting into foul trouble early. It was almost like they were either too aggressive or not aggressive enough tonight. They couldn't find the Goldilocks sweet spot and

they were in foul trouble. And it was the bigs in Hartenstein and Avizza Zoobots who picked up a couple of early fouls in this one, and I think it made them a little bit gun shy with not being as aggressive later on, because the Clippers gave up twenty one free throw attempts in the first

half, sixteen of those came in the second quarter. And yeah, there were some calls that I thought went in favor of the New York Knicks, including one that was eventually reversed towards the ends of the first half as coach lu challenged it. There was another one a little while later from Julius Randall, who looked to use his off arm on Luke and Ard going to the basket for an and one play. But overall, the more physical team,

the more aggressive team, tends to get more of those calls. Things evened out a little bit more in the second half. Or the Clippers, who only took five free throw in the first half, attempted seventeen in the second half. But after they were down by twenty six, and that third quarter, and they made that run where a mere Coffee and Roco combined for thirteen points in that third quarter, and you could see signs of life. Terrence

Man was getting up and down the court. They had it to within twelve heading into the fourth, but then they were just doa The first three and a half minutes of that fourth quarter, Clippers went scoreless. Their first bucket was from Ojala after coach lew who was desperately searching for some energy guys who would attacked the basket, pretty much cleared out all the starters, but it was obviously too late. At that point they were down twenty two, twenty

four. Again, the Knicks were up by as many as thirty two in the game, and the Clippers would go on to lose by four to the New York Knicks. And it was multiple scoring droughts, and I think a lot of it was self inflicted because they just weren't moving the basketball to start off the second quarter in a similar fashion to what happened early in that fourth quarter. Even worse, the Clippers went into a deep draft. I mean it was brutal five and a half minutes. Over five and a half minutes,

they went scoreless to start that second quarter. They would somehow still end up with eighteen points in the period, but they were outscored thirty four to eighteen and down nineteen at the half. So down nineteen at a half, down twenty six, and the third quarter they make their push, but it was not enough. And in an off shooting night like this, where they still give up one hundred and sixteen points to the opposition, it's hard to

overcome shooting thirty seven percent from the field. And really it wasn't even that good. They were at thirty four percent entering the fourth quarter. They had a twenty five point fourth quarter. Some inconsequential time points were made. Still, like seeing Isaiah Hartenstein hit that three pointer at the very end of the game. That's a shot he seems to have in his bag, and he's

taken a few this year. He's made a couple. But the Clippers offense after really since February first, I believe Noah Eagles said this earlier, they've been shooting forty one percent from three. That's where they were last season. That's when they're at their best, when they're moving the basketball and it's drive,

kick, swing, make the extra pass, create for others. Because when you're down talent like this, when you're down your best ISO players in Kauai and Paul George and Norman Powell, you have to create open shots through ball movement, and I don't think the Clippers had a lot of it tonight.

They finished with seventeen assists. It's not an awful number. The Knicks had just nineteen, but eyeball tests would say some of those assists came late during garbage time, and the Clippers, especially when they needed to early in that fourth quarter when they went scoreless first three and a half minutes of the fourth, they attempted four three pointers to just one two point shot. They started settling when they were having a cold night from the outside and taking tough,

long three pointers. It looked like a team on a twelve thirty start on a back to back instead of a team that had two days off. That's where the disappointment comes in. You're taking on a team that just lost seventh straight seventeen of twenty and you had two days of rest after a huge victory over the Lakers on Thursday, and the Clippers were sleepwalking at times,

and the Knicks were a step quicker to loose balls fifty fifty balls. It's not often the Clippers are out worked, but I thought it happened tonight, and you had to expect some of this from the New York Knicks. Desperate team, just like the Lakers were, just like the Warriors are going to be likely Tuesday night if they lose tomorrow night in Denver without Steph Curry and some of their best players who were staying in San Francisco, and what's a

makeup game in Denver from earlier in the season. But that's a team that's been struggling. They've lost i want to say, eight of their last ten games, and they're gonna give the Clippers their best shot. And with just sixteen games left in the season. For the Clippers, when you have a game like this tonight, you have to get up for it no matter what, no matter who the opponent is. Maybe let down after the big win over the Lakers, but it just can't happen this late into the season.

Not a great performance. We haven't seen many of these this year from the Clippers, even with them being undermanned, but tonight was tough. Being down thirty two in that fourth quarter and just ever making it close enough to have a real opportunity to come back when we thought, Okay, they're down nineteen at the half. Is what the Clippers do? Come back clips, hashtag

come back Clippers. Nah, the Knicks were good enough. They hit some big three, some timely ones, even forty eight hit one in the near side corner in the second half. That was big to kind of keep the Clippers at bay and tip your cap to the Knicks. I thought they played well, but it's just not often you see the Clippers get out worked and not be the more physical team out there. And there were some uncharacteristic performances

from guys. Reggie Jackson, who had been so good the last four games, averaging twenty two a game, obviously had thirty six against the Lakers, his Clippers high four shy of his career high four of eighteen, zero of eight from three. He had some good looks out there. Clippers as a team just win eleven of thirty four from the outside. That's thirty two percent after shooting forty one percent from three over pretty much last month. Marcus Morris

two of nine, Nick Batoum two of ten. Nobody really had it going, but the one guy who did in that second quarter, Luke Nard. He stopped shooting, he started hesitating. He had nine points in the second quarter, he finished with ten and had a bad turnover in a situation where he should have pulled up and taken the shot. We'll hear from coach Lou we'll get to your phone calls eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventy

eight six six nine eight seven two five seventies. The Phone Number Clippers take a slight step back tonight after they had won seven of eight five in a row. That was the longest winning streak in the NBA heading into this one. They had a regroup quickly in Golden State Tuesday night while postgame audio. Next, we'll get to your phone calls at eight six sixty nine eight seven two five seventy eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventies of the Phone

Number Clippers all by twenty four to the Knicks. Here in downtown Los Angeles. I'm at a moslind and you're listening to a M five seventy l streets love. We was going hard. Now we can back to more LA Clippers Basketball Act Defense the offense for the Clippers on the official home of your Los Angeles Clippers. Many people here right now that I didn't know last year.

The y'all I swear feels like the last few nights we've been neverwear bag, but I just can't remember it. I didn't love me at my twenty four point victory over the Lakers. Don't still come back to me after he losing. Okay, I don't bad analogy. Clippers lose tonight one sixteen to ninety three over the Knicks. After their big victory, their season sweep of the

Lakers Thursday night, welcome back in the Clippers stock. I've had a Moslin eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number. Clippers lose one sixteen to ninety three. They had one seven of eight, they had one five straight. I was the longest winning streak in the NBA and they were taking on the team with the longest losing streak in the New York Knicks. You couldn't say that

after the way they played tonight. There's still just twenty six and thirty eight on the season with an outside shot of getting into the play in tournament. That's where the Clippers currently are, in the A spot in the West, behind the Minnesota Timberwolves, who have won twelve or their last sixteen games. That Pat bev culture center that he is, He's never missed the playoff playoffs in his career. While we have a moment, though, Let's pause ten

seconds for station identification. Here on AM five seventy l A Sports, this is LA Clippers Basketball A five seventy KLAC Los Angeles, ninety eight seven KYSR HD to Los Angeles and iHeart radio station. If you didn't love me at my one sixteen ninety three loss, you don't get to hold me. Okay, whatever, Let's go to Morris and Long Beach Morris R. Clippers stop without a mousles. Hey, what's going on? Double A Check this out, everybody. The Clippers gonna win it this year. Write that down.

I know I'm a fan, and you know what they say about a fan, Kane, trust what we say. The word fan comes to the word for that because I don't care. But they're gonna win it this year. I'm gonna tell you why. Paul, George and Kawhi are ahead of schedule. They both ahead of schedule. Got Kawhi is playing two on two right now, and George looked at the smoothest ice and practice. I saw him on a video of shooting around with Knard and Canard show looked good in that

three point contest. But anyway back to this right here, they're gonna come back before us all over. Okay, they're not advertising, they're not broadcasting it. And they're very fortunate to get him back because there's two seasons. Everybody is two seasons, and they get ready for the second season. Now, they got the eight spots sewed up right on, so it be nice if we were the first place. They never lost the game. But let's keep it. When those guys come back, Everybody tell you on TV who's

gonna win it? Because with the moves that the Clippers made this season, when they get those two guys back, the only question will be conditioning the rhythm. If they get them two things, God, it's over, Adam, They're gonna win it, all right, call me crazy, most fans are. I'll talk to you later, all right, Morrison, the long beach from your lips to the basketball God's ears. But we just don't know at this point if either of them and Norman Powell are going to be able

to make it back in time for this season. We're hopeful. We all saw the video of Paul George. We heard pregame from coach Lew talk about him at practice being able to shoot with his right hand. Now he looks silky smooth with it, but you can't replicate in game reps. There's just no way to do it. But hopefully he's on the end, he's turned a corner. It was still a site for sore eyes for Clipper nations just to see him out there practicing like that. And Clippers, though they fault

tonight, apparently it wasn't as inspiring as we had hoped. They lose one, sixteen to ninety three to the New York Knicks, who absolutely outplayed them for the most part in this one. But when you go nine minutes scoreless, when you combine them going five and a half minute scoreless to start the second quarter, ree and a half minute scoreless to start the fourth quarter, you gotta have a hard time. It's gonna be tough to win that ballgame.

And the Clippers just weren't aggressive enough. They didn't get rewarded at the free throw line in the first half. Because of it, they only had thirty six points in the paint Nicks had fifty. And what was the key to victory tonight, Well, it was about rebounding. And the Clippers got outboarded fifty seven to forty three, and once again gave up fifteen offensive rebounds of the New York Knicks, just like they did back in New York in

January. Some of that was because they had to go small with I say a heart and sign and it beats the zoobots out of it, because they got called for at times, I thought some tiki tack fouls. But look, either they were too aggressive or not aggressive enough. Tonight it was one or the other. They just couldn't find that middle ground, that happy medium, and they paid for it with a hungry Knicks team that I mean, coach Tibbs is calling for a review. Was seven minutes left in the ball

game and they're up by twenty six points. I felt like they just want to relish or cam reddish, or they just want to enjoy and soak up this big lead that they have had because they've blown many of them this season. I want to say it was three times that Noah Eagles said the Knicks have given up leads of twenty points three different times this season. So for them to hold on against a team and you're Los Angeles Clippers that are known for coming back, also, I'm sure that's a feather in their cap.

And they were just looking for a victory, and they got it in a big way tonight over the Clippers, who maybe were just due for an off night in a bad game. It happens disappointing, discouraging, yes, but they've still have won seven of their last nine games, and they have been playing some of their best ball, especially when you consider who's out right now in this lineup, this starting lineup, I want to say they are now

eight and two. They've had a little bit more continuity with their starting lineups. They've had just enough guys remain healthy to have some chemistry out there. Obviously, they weren't good enough though tonight. They didn't bring it from the opening tip. They didn't execute well enough, and by the time they did start to lock in energy wise in that third quarter, when you have to expend that much energy to get back into a ball game, you often run

out of gas. And maybe that's what happened early in the fourth when they went scoreless for three and a half minutes. We'll take a quick time out, we'll come back. We'll get back to your phone calls eight six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy Tay, just hold on for you. We also have postgame audio from coach Lewis. The Clippers lose by twenty four to the Knicks, hearing downtown Los Angeles. But I mean, as Marilyn Monroe once said, you don't love me

at my worst and you don't deserve me at my best. I didn't even have to look it up. Come on, yes I did. Did you guys know Marilyn Monroe? That was That was her quell? All right, more Clippers stock coming up next. All right, here only a five seventy LA Sports back to more LA Clippers Basketball Act defense thefen Clippers on the official home of your Los Angeles Clippers. But I'm following Clippers Blues. It's hardest

transition there one sixteen and ninety three. So the New York Knicks from Crypto dot com arena. I'm Adam Oslin. Welcome back into your post game show. This is Clippers Talk. Eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy before we hear from coach Lou Max in Dana point. Max, you're on Clipper stock. What's up? Maximilian Mighty Max? Oh not so mighty. He hung up, got scared, Tagus and Walnut. I know you're gonna be there for me. You

always are. Hey, Adam, I'm driving home from the game. It's a part cry from Thursday night. I'll tell you being at the game Thursday night and today it was just like it was a complete one eighty. But that second quarter, how long did it take us to get a basket? Almost six minutes? Not just a basket or free throw anything a point. Yeah it was painful, but yeah, I'm not gonna overreact. We were doing for a bad game. Uh. Two questions for you. One,

what's all our guys back? Norman Powell, PG, Kawai. That would mean that I guess Kawai would be coming in for Batoum and PG would be for a team. Man. Is that right? Yes, I would say that's accurate. Nick Batum would be back to coming off the bench. I believe Marcus Morris would still be starting in that scenario, and Pale it off the bench. Okay, Yeah, that's pretty exciting to think about. And I don't know if Pal's coming off the bench, I don't know if that's

the case. They may they may stagger his minutes interestingly enough, But who would he be coming in for, said Reggie. I would have convisioned be starting right he has been. I look, we'll see. We'll cross that bridge when we get there, hopefully sooner than later. That's a good problem to have. What's your second question? I think with I know in the

playoffs last year we played small with the twomb at a five. Do you think if zoo Back gets in Pali trouble and since we created a box that, do you think we're a little small If let's say zoo Back gets in pal trouble in the first five minutes and then Harnst has to come in, we're a little small in the center five. I know we can manage it, but do you think what do you think about that? As far as you know, having not having a big center after a zoo Back I appreciate

the phone call Tageous. I think Robert Covington is a godsend for this team because he has shown a propensity to be able to guard BIG's true fives. He is not afraid and Isaiah Hartenstein obviously he's physical out there. He does get into foul trouble, though luckily coach lew Is as a depth at anyone with going small and finding mismatches. So I'm not overly concerned with it. But you know, losing a back, I should say who I think is

gonna do good things in Milwaukee? It's a loss, But remember Isaiah Hardenstein was already taking up those minutes, and he had earned more minutes with this team. And I think with Rocco with the tomb, with Marcus Morris who can also play the five at time, at times, they have enough guys a mere coffee dare I say it can do it at times too. They have the most versatility switchability out there that really maybe I've ever seen. If they can get fully healthy, it will be a site to behold. The

versatility with this Clippers team. They've had some of that obviously with the Golden State Warriors, but they have so many guys that can play multiple positions, that are multi tool, multi purpose like players. As coach Lou would say, speaking of we'll take a quick time out, we'll come back, we'll hear from coach Lou eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy If you'd like to get on Also I'm

at follow out of man on Twitter. Clippers lose by twenty four to the New York Knickerbockers. Next game is up in San Francisco. It's Golden State Warriors. Don't get much easier. So back to back against the Washington Wizards. Right back here at the Crypt on Wednesday. More Clippers stock next year on a M five seventy l I sports never mind, would hate a seat,

nor them to. They fade away back to more LA Clippers Basketball Act Defense the offense for the Clippers on the official home of your Los Angeles Clippers.

Enough Clippers lose tonight one sixteen and ninety three over Well and lose to the next by twenty four A tell phone Clipper Nation completely, I'm commiserating with you on this one, but they got a chance to bounce back, and I'm just guessing Coach Low is not gonna dwell on this for too long before we get to him, though, Tom and Huntington beach, Tom, you're our Clippers. Stop with autamasin what's up, Adam? How's it going? Man? I'm twenty one today, so I just coming back from the game

right now. Oh congratulations, this is a good night to turn twenty one as a Clipper fan, I'd say, I'll behave behave yourself, Tom behave yourself tonight has to call him night. But you know, I think the game today, it wasn't our best game. I think that we seemed shy Terence. There was a lot of wide open shots for Terrence and he just he wasn't shooting him. Same with Reggie, he just wasn't making anything. And Luke was very shy with the ball, and I think that was our

biggest thing. I think we needed to be more aggressive tonight, and it sucks that we weren't. But I thought our garbage time minutes, guys, they were a bit more aggressive. It's not saying much, but we should have played Brandon Boston. He would have given us some offense, and I didn't decide to make that adjustment. I'm gonna trust him, but I think that that was it. I think we didn't have the heart tonight. We looked tired and looked like we didn't care. Otherwise, it was a great

night twenty one to be a Clippers fan. We'll have your birthday, so I appreciate the phone call tonight. I think there's something too that some guys weren't being aggressive enough. I felt like Nick Batoum was taking it upon himself, like, Hey, if you guys aren't gonna shoot, I'm gonna go out there and put him up. And he had some good looks that didn't

fall. Just one of five from the outside. Clippers is a team again, eleven of thirty four, thirty two percent from three when they had been shooting so well from beyond the yark, getting back to where they were last season. All right, let's hear from the head coach toront I've been putting it off for too long. I want to hear from him post game after the Clippers lose one, sixteen to ninety three to the Knicks here in downtown Los Angeles. First of all, long, we don't have any concerns,

So don't stop with that question. Okay, next question sounds it sounds good, my Luke. Question I wanted to ask, is you saw how the second and fourth quarter started going off twelve one and or at sixteen oh and uh twelve one runs just once, you know, like if you saw any common thread and those two runs. No, I thought just our physicality was, you know, to start the game early you know, it was a lot we didn't master the physicality on both sides of the floor. I thought

they was into us defensively and then offensively. They were more physical than we were. And we just didn't have a lot. You know, we didn't have a lot tonight, didn't have a lot of pop and they played well. We played We played bad. So with that combination, you're gonna get a thirty point blowout. And so you know, they were just starving for a win. You know, they've been playing well, getting up and having

leads and not being able to close. So we knew it's gonna be a tough game, and we didn't play our best game and they played really good. I take it that you get a lost like this. A mirror said, this will leave a bad taste in the team's mouth, and I guess that helps you in a way. Uh transferring that energy to Golden State Tuesday. Oh yeah, you just gotta turn the page. Like I said, it was a bad game for us. You know, we didn't play well and they play well, you know, so hats off to those guys,

and we gotta move on and look forward to Golden Stay. But we did They definitely gotta play better than we did tonight. Say a mirror said that he felt like the energy wasn't there in the beginning. You kind of said, how do you like, how do you assess like whether or not it is an energy issue or it's a structural issue and the system, like you know, the since of them time just just a our test. I mean, you never really know. But we did look slow earlier on to start

their game. They look faster and like I said, they were more physical to start, and you know, so all like I said, they played well. I probably could have did some things earlier, but I thought we would be able to play better and get back into it, you know, which we did, you know, late in that third quarter. But that first half we just didn't. We didn't play very well. And like I said, they attacked us, you know, in transition, they got to

the paint every single time. Our small lineup wasn't as good as we you know, thought it would be. Just kind of got staggered with that unit, you know, So that's on me. So we gotta get better with that, and we just didn't play well. You got a line up out there at one time, Uh, it was Roco, Reggie Nico, Marcus and Zoo. So it's like a bigger lineup. Is that a lineup you

can see yourself running several times. I'll just try anything. When you when you played the way we played tonight, you know, you you just try anything to try to you know, make something work, to make something stick. And you know, like I said, you know I got I've been playing. Well, this is just one game. You know, we didn't play. We didn't play too good, and we understand that, you know, so you know, we definitely gotta be better at especially in front of

our home fans. But as one of those games, we just didn't have it. And so you know, you're gonna have some of those games. And he's got to scrap this and get ready to go for Golden State. There was Coach Loup post game after the Clippers lose by twenty four to the New York Knicks, saying they didn't bring the physicality, they didn't have a lot of pop early on. They played really bad and Knicks played really good. You can pretty much simplify it like that with a loss to this level

that the Clippers had to go through tonight against the Knicks. But this is a team that has bounced back, that has faced so much adversity. He's not even just this season, back years with guys being out and they find ways to pick themselves back up off the mat after losses like this. Clippers in San Francisco coming in hot. Clippers in San Francisco Tuesday night taking on the Golden State Warriors. No, you're right, we're getting out of here.
