Time for a postgame. Look, it's your LA Clippers. This is Clippers Locker Road, brought to you by Cedars Sinai, the official health partner of the LA Clippers, and by Putschonga, official travel casino of the LA Clippers. Breaking down today's action with the pre and post game voice. If you're La Clippers, They're locking in every game every night. Adam Osland, Well, the Clippers come back, comes up short. Seeing two different final scores.

One wants to say one sixteen to one oh nine, the other is one sixteen to one oh six. Either way, the Clippers take the loss, their first in their last four games. Now, welcome back into Crypto dot Com Arena for your postgame show. I'm at a Maslin. After the Clippers fall to the New Orleans Pelicans here after being down by twenty one in the first quarter, they would come back to have a six point lead at one point in that third, just to come up short down the stretch where

they were outscored thirty one and twenty six in the fourth quarter. Before we get to your radio voice of the Clippers in Carlo Jimenez, let's pause ten seconds for station identification here in the Los Angeles Clippers already a network. This is LA Clippers Basketball AM five to seventy KLAC Los Angeles, ninety eight seven,

KYSR HD two Los Angeles and iHeartRadio Station. Well, Carlo, you get down by twenty one in the first quarter, you battle back to be down by just one at the half, you're up early in the third. But the Clippers just didn't have enough left in the tank. And quite frankly, you know, the New Orleans Pelicans were great, hitting some tough shots down the stretch. It wasn't even just Zion in the fourth quarter, Herb Jones with a big three pointer, Brandon Ingram with a tough fallaway over two

defenders. They were just a little bit better in the biggest moments late. Yeah, they were able to get to their spots. They had seventeen second chance points on twelve offensive rebounds, and were able to dominate in the paint fifty two points in the paint. We mentioned they're averaging sixty coming in. What was interesting, Adam, is the Clippers felt like they were starting to

come back into this game. They took the lead. PJ. Tucker was excellent on an offensive end, and then the Clippers tried to go small. It didn't really work out for them. Late in that fourth quarter, they were unable to find anything going small. The good news with the Clippers is you play tomorrow and you have a chance to try to figure it out, try to get back in the win column. But this is a New Orleans

team that star power played well tonight, and give them credit. The Clippers didn't hit threes late when they hit threes, and at the end of the day, the New Orleans Pelicans did Yeah, ten of twenty four from the outside. For the Pelicans, Clippers just eleven of thirty seven after starting absolutely cold seven from the outside. Paul George had some good looks late, he couldn't get him to fall. I thought overall, he fought valiantly out there.

He attacked the basket over and over again. And I don't know if this is a Clippers high for him, but thirty attempts getting those thirty four points, obviously the efficiency isn't great, but I don't fault the effort. I don't fault him being out there attacking. And he also was looking for some calls that didn't come his way in that fourth quarter as well. Yeah, Clippers, I think a couple times Adam were on the wrong side of

some no calls driving to the rim. George had two chances to poster down the lane. PG thirteen has now attempted fifty three shots in his last two games. Well, we said we like an aggressive Paul George. He is showing us that. And look, if James Harden doesn't have an off night, Kawhi Leonard takes just sixteen shots. You know, Norm Powell was great off the bench, but Russell Westbrook in his fourteen minutes won for eight a lot of those shots jumpers and a couple of three pointers that he missed.

You know, there were a couple of guys who just had off nights against a team in the New Orleans Pelicans where you're gonna need to be at your best, and the Clippers will have to be now tomorrow against the Dallas Mavericks. Yeah, Luca Donc just coming to town. We saw what he did in Dallas. They've had a couple of days off since their last game against the Lakers, so opportunity for the Clippers to come away with a win against

the team that has haunted them in the past. Very similar to this New Orleans team that's now won four in a row for only the second time in franchise history against the Clippers, and you feel like this is when the Clippers need. This is gut check time and your first one, you fell behind early, you came back, but you're unable to hang on. Can you on the back half of a back to back come away with another victory? PG Thirty nine minutes, the Cloth thirty four minutes. Both those are high

numbers. Gonna be a test tomorrow for the Clippers and a big test to try to get back to inch towards five hundred measuring stick opportunity against the Dallas Mavericks Tomorrow night, tip off at seven thirty. Right back here with your pregame show starting at six thirty. Carlo. It was a fun one, great call by you. Unfortunately the Clippers couldn't get the w tonight. Let's see if they can do it tomorrow. Oh I'm happy we got another one

tomorrow, Adam. It's gonna be another great show. Some offensive talent, Kyrie Irving, Luka, Dacic Kawhi, Leonard, Paul George. Let's do it again. Hot shooting here at crypto dot Com arena is to be expected. Clippers fall in this one one sixt to one oh six. I'm gonna go with that until somebody corrects me. Clippers drop one to the New Orleans Pelicans once again in Zion Williamson. More postgame though coming up next second half

highlight's right here on the Los Angeles Clippers Audio Network. LA Clippers Basketball is on the two one three Era continues. You're listening to the LA Clippers on the LA Clippers Audio Network. Clippers fall one sixteen to one oh nine here at home to the New Orleans Pelicans after being down twenty one points in the first quarter. It was a great call by Carlo Jimenez. It was a fun ball game. But the Clippers have to grab w's right now and they're

taking on some of the best in the West tomorrow. Right back here against the Dallas Mavericks. Clippers end up shooting forty seven percent from the floor, just twelve of thirty eight from distance. Clippers three point shot has been a little bit spotty up and down so far early in the season. They're capable of shooting much better from distance. That's just thirty one percent twelve to thirty

eight. Meanwhile, the Pelicans with ten of twenty four shooting. That's forty one percent from three, and they ended up shooting forty nine percent overall from the floor. They were led by Zion Williamson. He had nine of his thirty two points in the fourth quarter. Just a load, A difficult guy to stop. Clippers threw multiple defenders at him. I admired the effort. They did all they could, but Zion Williamson too big, too strong at

the rim. I'm reminded of him ripping the ball away from James Harden after he defended him very well but got that offensive rebound. They would end up with twelve of them second chance points seventeen to sixteen in favor of the Pelicans. Clippers did have twenty four fast break points. That was some of their best offense. Paul George cherry picking in the fourth quarter. Kawhi Leonard found him for a long outlet pass. It was a beautiful Justin Herbert like throw.

And Paul George did have thirty four points, nine of his coming in the fourth had a good look at on a big three pointer where he was wide open, though could not get it to go. I think some tired legs by the Clippers after battling back down twenty one. That is typically what happens late. Kawhi Leonard missed some shots late. He also had a good look at the three. Scored twenty three points on nine of seventeen shooting. I thought Big Zoo played very well overall, eleven points, five boards in

twenty one minutes. Terrence Mann got his first three pointer of the season. I believe after he was turning some down was able to find his stroke a clutch one in the fourth quarter. But Clippers got down by two large of a deficit late and evil with Norman Powell giving him twenty off the bench, fifteen of those coming in the first half. Clippers fall one sixteen to one nine. Here at Crypto dot Com Arena will preview tomorrow night's game against LUKA

Dantech Kyrie Irving in the Dallas Mavericks. Next here on the Los Angeles Clippers Audio Network loading Clippers fully loaded with Clippers fans. This is LA Clippers basketball sting to the LA Clippers on the LA Clippers Audio Network. Clippers get out rebounded forty nine to thirty eight and twelve to seven on the offensive boards, and they lose one sixteen to one oh six after coming back down twenty one.

They had a brief six point lead in the third quarter, but they would come up short down the stretch in the fourth against the New Orleans Pelicans, Clippers drop to six and eight on the season. They're right back here though, tomorrow night, taking on the Dallas Mavericks and Luca Doncicz. Luca the Dawn, who's been averaging thirty five a game against the Clippers, I want to say in his last seven contests, should be a good one.

But I can't stress this enough, and it's gonna be a theme tonight and I'm gonna hammer this and ingrain this in your skull. The Clippers have to get rid of this bad habit, and it's feeling too comfortable being down double digits because they've come back so many times before. It has to stop. It's

not something championship teams do. They don't wait to start playing when they're down fifteen twenty twenty one in this case, in the first quarter. And I'm not saying the Clippers were in a twelve thirty Mattine type of start today because they weren't technically, and even though it looked like that at times. Yeah, there was some poor shooting early on and just shot variation, make or

miss league stuff was happening out there. The Clippers started zero of seven from the outside, some of it was fluky, and eventually they ended up going

twelve of thirty eight. That's still just thirty two percent from three. But you just have to find a way to stop the bleeding and not let an eight point quick lead by the New Orleans Pelicans turn into a twenty one point lead in the first quarter, where you are digging out of this hole, fighting uphill, expending all this energy to get back into a ballgame, to which then you don't have enough gas left in the tank to finish the comeback

late. Specifically, it's been over the last season, going back to last year, that I've seen this too often from this team. Slow starts, and it's been throughout the entire two to three era, but they used to complete more of the big comebacks. But it's not happening, and it shouldn't happen to start with. Stop getting down twenty one, stop waiting to engage and waiting to get active, and if you're not knocking down shots from the

outside early, get to the basket, find another way to score. Clippers got outscored in the first order thirty six to twenty three. The comeback started towards the end of that first quarter, but the damage was already done. You can lose a game in the first quarter. You can because everything it takes out of you to come back into the ballgame to get it to within one point. The half eventually catches up with you and you fall short at

the finish line to complete the comeback. Can't stress stress it enough tonight. And it's been a habit, a pattern, a trend throughout this two to three era. And yeah, there have been magical comebacks, second biggest in NBA history, down thirty five in DC. But how many championship teams do you see always putting themselves in a hole like this consistently? The Clippers have gotten too comfortable knowing that, oh, we can come back. It's fine,

we can come back. No, it's not always going to happen like that, and it's gonna come back to bite you if anything. Don't get down twenty one in the first quarter. It is hard to get out scored that much within the first eight minutes of a ball game. It is not

easy to do. And the Clippers somehow pulled it off, not in a good way, but letting their opponent get that comfortable, letting Brandon and Ingram have sixteen points in the first quarter, letting them shoot sixty percent from the field in the first quarter, Because it's most likely, and Brandon Ingram hit some big shots in the fourth at least one. I can remember over Kawhi Annavitzu zubats that once you let a team get hot, you can't turn the

faucet off. You can't cool them off. I don't care what defense you play. And the Clippers had some success and the activity level ramped up, and there was urgency, and I've it felt like they fought really hard in the fourth quarter, and they played Zion about as well as you could have. It didn't matter every possession, but even when they were small, James Harden played them, we'll get the board, then have the ball ripped away

and put in for a layup by Zion Williamson. Terrence Man played them well, got called for that foul that they reviewed. All that's great. The effort was there late late, it was bring it in the first shot. Variance happens. You could start cold, the other team starts hot. But to get down twenty one points that quickly, that's extreme. That's kind of inexcusable, especially when you know this is a team that has had your number

and you're trying to flip that script to change the narrative. There I mean big brother Jake's so upset he's throwing chairs. Okay, one just fell to the right of me for a second. It's just been something I have noticed for far too long, and as fun as the comeback clips are, that needs to be, you know, break glass in case of emergency stuff where it's just not your night, nothing's going for you, and maybe you're down twenty one in the third, maybe late in the second, but you can't

come out that flat. I don't think the effort was awful. I do think a lot of it was fluky shooting early on. But you gotta do something, you gotta switch something up quick. And I thought Coach lou when he found that lineup with PJ. Tucker and Daniel Tice out there, they were much better. They had two able bodies to try to slow down Zion Williamson in the first quarter. And that's the thing. He only had five of his eventual thirty two in the first eight minutes that he was out there.

In the first quarter. It was mostly brandon Ingram and the Clippers not hitting enough shots. They were two for ten from three in the first quarter. Ten threes. Look. I like the math. I like the analytics. I believe in it. Overall. It helped them get back into the ballgame eventually, but early on, just find another way to score, attack, get to the free throw line. They only attempted three in the first

quarter. It just it's been happening too often for too long, and tonight it just underscores that fact that when you get down big in the NBA, even if you make a comeback, you can't always complete it, especially you're down big early like that. And they turned it around quickly. I get it down one at the half, But where was that energy to start? Just brutal, because I'm here to tell you Clippers at six and eight, fourteen games in never would have seen that coming. Now, extenuating circumstances,

you start to apply context. I said preseason they need to get off to a nine and four start at worst in the first thirteen games, and instead they were six and seven. Now, I didn't know they were gonna make the trade for James Harden, Yes, I heard the rumors. I didn't know they would do that. There would be this transitional phase. They lose six straight, but guys, this was the easier part of their schedule. They just entered the Gauntlet. This was game one of six games against teams

that are above five hundred. It's likely playoff teams Dallas Tomorrow, Denver on Monday. Here, then they go up north for back to back against Sacramento and Golden State, then Golden State back here at Crypto dot Com Arena. They have to make up for losing six straight somewhere here. They have to make up for losing to tonight. Not a lesser team, but I still go back to the game against Brooklyn where they were down many men, the

game against Memphis. The Clippers should have won those games, and those games can come back to haunt you, and they had a chance to get back to five hundred. Instead, they're six and eight tonight. So not just a slow start to this game, a slow start to this season. I understood there would be growing pains with James Harden, but to lose five in a row at one point, that's tough to wreck style, that's tough to

rationalize. That's one or two games too many, go two and three in those five, Please, there were some teams there that were just asking to be beat and the Clippers didn't do it. So in this Western Conference, with these teams coming up in the West now and losing to one tonight in the New Orleans Pelicans. I can't tell you how important these games are. You want to say, it's only November. It's early December, Okay. How many championship teams get off to slow starts? Were fifteen games in,

They're under five hundred. Not many different circumstances. James Harden wasn't here in training camp, wasn't here in the preseason. They're getting him acclimated, and I thought he had tough games tonight. Although he did have ten assists to just three turnovers. I thought he had a tough shooting game. Let me put it like that, just eight points to of eight from the field, didn't get anything to go miss his only shot in the fourth quarter. I

thought he played really hard defensively. I thought he scrapped. He ended up with four steals. I'm telling you, nobody's gonna care about this stuff because the national media in the big hot take narrative type of shows will just go off of narrative. Well, James Harden was not a good defender. I saw him hustling and playing great defense to night at times. Yes, he's

overmatched against Zion Williamson. Not much you can do about that. But on a night where Paul George ends up taking thirty shots, I don't know if that's a Clippers high for him. He had thirty four. God bless him. He attacked so often and he probably ran out of gas late. Had an open three pointer, almost felt too open, too much time to think about it that he would miss. He almost dunked on Herbert Jones on the fourth in the first half. He almost got Jonas Valanchiunis on one. Didn't

get a call on either dunk that was missed. That would have been a poster. Clippers didn't get a great whistle. I understand that, but they put themselves in that position where you're battling and you need things and breaks to go your way. When you're down twenty one in the first quarter, I'm telling you that is a rarity. A team with this much talent eight minutes in to be down twenty one, it's tough to do. It was make it ten minutes in when it was thirty three to twelve, and then the

Clippers started to rally. Norman Powell came in, he got hot. He had a very good game, twenty points off the bench. Didn't even know if he was gonna play, didn't know how much he was gonna play. Dealing with the groin issue I thought would really killed the Clippers. It wasn't Jones Valence Tunis this time. It was Herb Jones. In the fourth quarter.

He had nine of his fourteen points in the fourth. He hit a backbreaking three pointer that after the Clippers were down by just two at the eight thirty mark, made it ninety six to ninety one, and then had a layup right afterwards. It's ninety eight to ninety one. Now, all of a sudden, brandon Ingram hits a shot. You're down by nine. Then Herb Jones makes another three pointer. You're down by twelve, and out of the time out, Paul George missed a layup a good look. Maybe tired

legs tough one Clipper Nation that now they have to bounce back tomorrow. And to be honest, this is probably worst case scenario, losing in the fashion they did tonight because of the tired legs that you had to use to get back into the ballgame. And now you're taking on a Dallas team that had two days off after they almost blew a twenty point lead here to the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night. We'll take a quick time out, we'll come

back. We'll get to your phone calls eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight sixty six, ninety eight seven two five seventy is the phone number, Javier Howie, Isaac Philip. We'll get to your next. Clippers fall by ten. After reading down by twenty one and leaguing by six in the third quarter, they eventually fall one sixteen to one oh six of the Pelicans. And you're listening to the Los Angeles Clippers already a network loading Clippers,

fully loaded with Clippers fans. This is LA Clippers basketball. You're listening to the LA Clippers on the LA Clippers Audio network. Clippers lose one sixteen to one oh six after they battled back down twenty one, they led by six, and the third they lose by ten. Eventually here at Crypto dot Com Arena to the New Orleans Pelicans. Welcome back into Clippers hock here on a M five to seventy LA Sports eight sixty six nine eight seven two five

seventy eight six six ninety seven two five seventy. I thought Russell Westbrook had a really tough ballgame one of eighth of two from three. Looked like he was pressing a little bit to get going offensively, taking some ill advised, unnecessary shots. Getting up eight shots in thirteen minutes. It's a lot not putting it on Russ. A lot of guys struggled in different sections of the ballgame. I just thought tonight in particular, he had a rough one,

and there were some lineups out there that weren't working. Now. I like what coach lou did with PJ. Tucker and Daniel Tice and starting PJ. Tucker in the third quarter and matching his minutes was Zion Williamson thought that was brilliant. That's the perfect guy for him to guard. Actually, eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number. And needed the best as much as you could ask. Let's go to Hobbyer at the Horber

Heights. Do we have Hobbyer and he's still gone. We can go to Howe Howie and they win eight. Hey man, your your points are all well taken, you know, uh, But I have a I have a grief with coach Tyler I'm sorry. We had a one point game and Russell was in the game, and the coach just stood there and watched the momentum shift. It went to eight nine, I forget how many points it went to, and he's just standing there on the sideline. I'm going, what

is he doing? The whole momentum just shifted until I'm just one point four. No, it's like I say, it's the third, the end of the third maybe when Restbrook was in and uh uh and Westbrook was just all over the map and then uh, I mean, Zion had a great game. But you just can't you know, like you said, you know, when you get down so far, it's really tough. But then if you do come back and you're like at a one point after all that comeback,

somebody has to make smart decisions. And the coach can't sit there and let the moment I'm going to a complete upside down shift and go from one point to eight point and he's not even calling a timeout. I just don't get it. Well, you only got so many of them, and look they were down too entering the fourth quarter, and Paul George tied up the game with a dunk on a really good pass from Russell Westbrook to start the fourth quarter. Yeah, it was after that where things started to spiral a little

bit. Zion Williamson got loose. I want to say he had his nine points. Thanks for the phone call, Howie, I appreciate it, but his nine to fourth quarter points were all earlier the first half of the fourth quarter. I might have hit a one free throw late, as he went one for two from the line, and he hit both of them. That's tough to deal with too. I was wondering if James Harden and Kawhi Leonard were going to enter the game re enter it at about the nine minute mark,

So I'm with you to some degree there. How he understand what you're saying. Because the game was slipping, they got a sense of urgency. There's also a game tomorrow, though, how much can you play these guys? That stuff adds up. Let me tell you, if you listen to any of the conversation around the Lakers and three games and four nights, well, Lebron, that's why you missed that three pointer and their big comeback also

a comeback that came up short the other night. Three games of four night's tough, five and seven is really tough against the opponents that the Clippers have coming up. And they have twenty five instances of three games in four nights, so get used to it. They tried to be the most well conditioned team. They ran hard in practice, they ran hard in the preseason, they ran hard in training camp to try to prepare them for this. But

you're gonna have to stagger lineups. You're gonna have to find fresh legs on a back to back tomorrow. To their credit, the back to back when they took on the Lakers, Kawhi and Paul George both played and they were great in that game. We'll see who's available tomorrow. But yeah, I thought as the game was slipping, as you point out that maybe and Norm pal did hit a big three pointer at the nine minute mark when they were down by seven to bring it back to within four, and then a Vitza

Zubots had it to within two. But I'm telling you, Herb Jones his own little five zero run. Then brandon Ingram hits that tough fallaway that was over Kawhi and a Vitza Zubots and oh you're back down nine. Herb Jones hits a three pointer, you're back down twelve was six minutes left, and then you almost just have to execute perfectly down the stretch. And the Clippers weren't good enough. Too many mistakes. They had four of their eleven turnovers

in the fourth quarter. Who else we got here? Philip? In La Philip, you're on clipperstock? What's up? Philip? I got it with ty Lou in this strange obsession with small lineups. I don't understand. He literally has said the last couple of days, Philip, that he doesn't want to go small as a last resort. And when you're down, when you're down double digits in the fourth and you got to make a comeback, so you got to score, you have to give something up. He gave up

defense to try to come back with leaning into the offense. But PJ. Tucker like zero points, Like, why why did you not come on? Did you watch the game, Philip? Did you see the defense PJ. Tucker played on Zion Williamson. He was a plus seven in a game that they lost by ten. PJ. Tucker was a plus seven in a game they lost by ten. Think about that. He was good. I don't know. I just don't think that I mean, of course he tried against

Zion Williamson. You can't. I can't stand seeing zoo and disappearing in the second half of the game and him not coming back until the fourth quarter when they had Balanchunis and Williamson in the game. I mean, come on, now, you're down by twelve, you're trying to score. And they did make a run. They had it to within six, They had opportunities that small ball battled and got him back in. I don't think that's why they lost the ball game. I think they lost it because they got down twenty

one in the first quarter. I guess. I mean just I don't understand it. I really don't. And to be honest, I think the Clippers may have been better before this trade. You know, they win, they went three in a row. It's starting to look good. But you know, though, that's just too good. Now we're in year five. Has to pick up. So what's the move. What's the solution here, Philip? I say, to not get down one in the first quarter. I believe truly, and I hope you can hear me on this one. I

believe that PJ. Tucker and Rush they might just have to sit for a game. For a game, maybe utilize PJ. Tucker is not the reason they lost to night, Philip. I don't understand why that's the gripe tonight of all nights. This was easily his best game as a Clipper. He was extremely useful against Zion. Again. They outscored the Pelicans when PJ. Tucker was on the floor by seven. That's the number. So how can you point to him as being the problem tonight? You can't. Thanks for

the phone call, Philip, I appreciate it. That's what a plus minus means. It could mean somebody else was really good when he was on the floor, but then the eye test matches it. It wasn't somebody else, or it was a collective. There were some good lineups out there. With PJ. Tucker, he entice worked well together. They slowed down the offense of the Pelicans for the Clippers to eventually come back and lead by six after being down by twenty one. It was effective. He started him in the

third quarter. I just don't know what you're watching. They got up in the third quarter when PJ. Tucker started the third quarter. There's a direct correlation there. A minute in and all of a sudden. They're up sixty two to fifty six, and Tucker was good and Zion had I don't know what the exact advanced box numbers are, but he was missing shots against PJ. Tucker. He had this crazy layup in the fourth where he got the and one against him and Daniel Tice. But there's just nothing you can do

about it. You tip your cap. But Tucker competed. I'm not putting it on him. Quick timeout will come back. Clippers lose one sixteen to one oh six. You're in downtown Los Angeles to the New Orleans Pelicans. Clippers cans well on this. The only thing they should be thinking about is, hey, we got to start faster. They start fast. They don't get down twenty one points in the first ten minutes of the ballgame. They put themselves in a much better position to win. We'll take a quick time

out. We'll come back and get to your phone. Calls eight six six ninety seven two five seventy eight six six ninety seven two five seventy is the phone number. I mean, I'm osling. You're listening to clipperstock. You're on a five seven e LA Sports loading Clippers fully loaded with Clippers fans. This is LA Clippers basketball. You're listening to the LA Clippers on the LA Clippers Audio Network. Clippers lose one, sixteen to one oho six here at

Crypto dot Com Arena after being down twenty one. They were late leading by six in the third quarter over the Pelicans, but they lost the four thirty one to twenty six, and they lost the ballgame and dropped to six and eight on this young twenty three to twenty four NBA season. Welcome back into Clippers Stock and then a Moslin. Let's go to Jayden in La Jaden, what's up here on Clipperstock? Hi, how are you today? After this tough Clippers lost in the season tournament? Not about me, Jaden. I'm

fine, We'll be back tomorrow. I just wanted to say because I'm sad. I think I think the Clippers had this. We were down twenty one, and I think that is perfect reason why we were down. But I think at this point, like our defensive rotations are slow, we bring no energy in the fourth quarter. I don't know what's going on with Harden, but I feel like he's not impacting us how he should be impacting us.

I feel like a lot of and if we're watching this game. In the last three games since they switched up the starting lineup with Terrence man in for Russell Westbrook, that starting lineup was like a plus fifty out there their net rating. I think and I think, I know, I think it was a great move, but I think it's not because it's it's hard and that's getting better. I think Terrence manag has always been the better fit for the Clippers in the starting lineup. No, I think Terrence man is a great

fit in the starting lineup. I also think James and what he was doing in the starting lineup was very significant. He had an off game tonight, but overall, I see the vision, it works worked. Defensively, something has to has to happen. I don't know if it's something in the mindset of the players or whatnot, but rotations are slow. I see no energy, and I feel like there's there's nothing that's that's really connecting with them.

On that side. I think offensively they're playing great. I think that they are able to really connect, They're able to do what they have to do. But it's defensively their defensive rating with James Harden, the starting lineup next to Terrence Man was fantastic entering tonight. It's that's not a trend. One

game does not make a trend. But we've also are three and like eight or three and five in the last time, in the last games with Harden, I mean, yeah, and they just made this and they're three and one since he and Terrence Man are in the starting lineup against the Spurs and the Rockets. Though, okay, that's fair, you want to say level of competition, but they were also losing to bad teams before that with Russell

Westbrook and James Harden in the starting backcourt. And I think I think I agree with you and that there is no reason that both of them should have been starting. I think Terrence Man should have been starting the whole time. However, it's progressively throughout the game where we see the defense just slowly weaken out, become more nonchalant. Offensively, we're running maybe two or three moot like rotationals, and then they kind of just stagnant and it's a one on

one game. Yeah, I see that. I think it just over generalizing a little bit. There were some great defense played and it didn't matter because Zion Williamson. The first quarter wasn't good enough. But it also when you're not hitting shots, it affects your defense. You can't set your defense, and the Clippers were miserable offensively to start off this ballgame. You can't get down twenty one points in ten minutes. They put themselves in that position.

I appreciate the phone call, my friend. Maybe we'll do it again tomorrow, hopefully after a Clippers victory. So I really do I really do we need it? All right? All right, I'm with you. It's a huge game tomorrow. We'll take a quick time them out, We'll come back. We'll hear from coach Lou postgame. Clippers lose one sixteen to one six at home to the New Orleans Pelicans. You could say the defense was inconsistent, but I would say what has been consistent for this team is getting down

early and starting slow overall in the two and three era. And I don't know if it's them being so confident that they can come back that it doesn't set off alarm. Belsfe not a week, but for me, it's a bad habit that you have to break. We here from Coach Lou next on clipperstock on ampire seventy LA Sports Loading Clippers fully loaded with Clippers fans. This is LA Clippers basketball. You're listening to the LA Clippers on the LA Clippers

Audio Network. After being down by twenty one points in the first quarter, the Clippers had a sixty five to fifty nine lead with ten minutes left in the third. They end up losing one sixteen to one oh six at home to the New Orleans Pelicans. They can't hang their heads. There's no time for that. They got to take on the Dallas Mavericks tomorrow night. Let's hear from Coach lou post game here on clipperstock after they fall one sixteen to

one oh six the Pelicans here at home. Ty, anything really stand out that you're looking at the box score? No, what led to such a struggle in that first half? Scoring in defensially? Then why would Brandon and Zion so hard for you guys to stop? Well, Brandon, he always gets going against us in the first quarter. I wonder what he's averaged against us in the first quarter since we played him. Always gets off the fast

starts and the kind of puts it behind the eight ball every game. You know, defensively, I think they scored the first twelve out of thirteen possessions, So it's kind of hard to really getting to any kind of floor, any kind of rhythm, because they're scoring every time down the floor and you gotta take the ball out of bounce. And then just I just thought offensively, we didn't get into a good offensive rhythm. We thought we had a

nasty flow all night. Thought the pressure bothered us, speeded us up and made us slow at the same time, if you understand what I'm saying, and it just kind of took us out everything we wanted to do. So we never really got to our second side, third side actions because by the time we initiated it was just the clock was already gone down. So you know, I take responsibility for that, you know, far as just offensively.

You know, we've got to be better in that regard. And then when teams are pressuring James, just having just having someone we can get off the ball and then get it back, you know, so to relieve some of that pressure. So you know, it's like I said, he's new, we haven't really been able to really implement everything. So but I'll take responsibility for us. We should We had to be better offensively, and we

wasn't that good. So there was Coach Blue posts game, and believe it or not, with James Harden, the Clippers have suffered on the offensive end than the defensive end. All the numbers will tell you that maybe that's a positive because you expect the offense to turn around, and they've been better since Terrence Man and James Harden have been in the starting backcourt. But that slow start, Coach lu said, you don't get stops. You can't get your

offense in the transition. You're taking the ball out of bounds every time, makes you slower, makes it tougher. Clippers lose one sixteen to one oh six. So we need some positivity tonight. And with that we turn to the fake philosopher, Big Jake Warner for moments of positivity here as the Clippers are on the front end of a home back to back. What's up, Jake? What's going on? Man? How are we doing? I'm good except for the loss. Some callers not good tonight. It was great that

they called, but they're not good with the loss. Yeah, exactly. But you know what, I'm going to provide positivity right now. Give it to me. All right. No amount of guilt can change the past, no amount of anxiety can change the future. Peace lives in the present. Be there. Well. I hope the Clippers win tomorrow, and that's in the future. But yeah, I got bring peace. Be at peace tonight because there's nothing you can do about this lost. As Jake pointed out with

that quote, it's a good one. You can't worry about the things you can't control. That can control tomorrow's ballgame against the Dallas Mavericks. Tip off is that seven thirty pre game starting at six thirty before we get out of here. I do want to think the Clippers organization, Ralph Fahler, Bryan Seeman, know It Ego, Carlo Jimenez on the call, big Brother, Jake Warner, our head engineer here at Crypto, Katie Newton, our producer

back into bank, our Dennis sat Casino. Stat of the night Clippers with those four turnovers, only eleven in the ballgame, but four of them coming in the fourth quarter when they had to be perfect. Not good enough. We'll see if they can clean it up tomorrow against Luka Donciz, the Don and the Mavericks. I'm at a Maslin well You're pregame starting at six point thirty. Talk to you then. Why he was doing his thing? And all they want to do is win in La. I win. I thought

they gave everything they had. I'm very proud of them. This has been Clippers Talk, the official postgame reaction of the LA Clippers. God bless Paul, George Are you not? It's a change.
