Time for a postgame Look, it's your La Clippers. This is Clippers Locker Room, brought to you by Cedars Sinai, the official health partner of the La Clippers, and by Patchonga, official travel casino of the La Clippers. Breaking down today's action with the pre and postgame voice. If you're La Clippers, they're locking in every game, every night. Adam Osland, Well,

the Clippers spot, they battled, they scratched, and they clawed. The backups gave everything they had and they pushed the Phoenix suns, but they would fall just short. They lose one twenty four to oneh eight. It was much closer than that, but the Clippers went through a cold spell the last seven thirty. They had just two points in the last seven minutes and thirty seconds of this ballgame. As I mentioned, they come up just a little

bit short tonight. Welcome back into Crypto dot com arena. I'm Adam Oslin. This is your Clippers postgame locker Room show. Coming up. We'll give you some second half highlights. We'll also get to your post game box score. But first back over to your radio voice of the Clippers in Carlo Jimenez. Carlo Nothing to hang your head about with this Clippers team, whether you're a fan, whether you're a player out there tonight, they gave everything they

had. The Suns just showed up in the nick of time late and they out executed a young Clippers team. Yeah, it was looking like nam a Cinderella story here in April for this Clippers team. And unfortunately the Clark struck twelve a little too early. The Clippers, you mentioned it just got cold

late. I think you can attribute it to a couple things. I think obviously, you know, while Phoenix hasn't been good this year and fourth quarters, they have some of the best scores the NBA has ever seen, So they're gonna find a way to score when they're not playing the other talent on

the other end, like Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. And then meanwhile for the Clippers, Bones Hiland and Brandon Boston have never played forty minutes in their lives, like in their entire basketball lives in an organ, high school, college or NBA game. That is the most minutes they've played. So your legs are gonna get tired, and they did for the Clippers. Both those guys. Miss Field goes late, but what an effort. I mean,

it was really really fun to watch a fun game. There was nothing like playing with nothing to lose, and the Clippers played with nothing to lose, and boy did they have a lot of fun. One of my favorite comedies check it out. Bowl's Hyland with thirty seven points in his forty three minutes. Just an absolute star out there. Where I like most about him as

that competitive streak. He saw Kevin Durant, he saw Devin Booker, he saw Bradley Beal, and he said, I still believe I could be the best player on the court tonight, And for moments he certainly was, and nearly the whole game at him. I mean only Booker, who went thirty seven, had had the same amount of points as him, But Hyland finished an assist away from a double double. He was so so great in that

game. I think Hyland, you know, his ability to rebound at him against Phoenix in the first game, I mean he had nine rebounds in that one, and then his ability to get his teammates involved nine assists in this one was really impressive. A lot of tools to his game that could be very useful come playoff time for the Clippers. Brandon Boston also went for career high thirty nine minutes played, had twenty three points. This is someone who

also doesn't suffer from a lack of confidence out there. Brandon Boston when he gets to his spots, when he gets into a groove, you can see the high ceiling of the NBA player he can become. Came into the league very young, obviously on a Clippers team with championship aspirations, not gonna get a lot of playing time. But I felt like just with Bones Highland, or just like with Bones Highland, he took advantage of his minutes tonight.

Yeah, there's a reason the Clippers played paid Brandon Boston the most money ever by a pick in the fiftieth or lower in the NBA is because they felt like he has all the potential in the world at him, and we saw that potential today. His ability on that offensive and his length at six foot seven, I think he's got all the tools physically to put it together,

and you can see offensively he already has a lot of those tools. He played great in this one, unselfishly trying to get Highland that fortieth point, throwing it around to him. I thought He was fantastic and as a whole just a fun game for the Clippers. It was good to see them. You know this team in the past, Adam have struggled without Kawhi Leonard,

struggle without Paul George, to struggle without James Harden. But to fight like this against this Phoenix team who needed to win by the way to stay out of that nine to ten matchup impressive stuff. Clippers unfortunately fall late one twenty four to oneh eight, but they gave absolutely everything they had against a fully loaded Phoenix Suns ball club. And then there were two, just two games left in the regular season for your Los Angeles Clippers. Next one coming up

right back here at Crypto on Friday night. This looks familiar. They're taking on the Utah Jazz here at Crypto and another Friday night. The contest dip off is that seven thirty. We'll have your pregame shows starting at six thirty. That magic number for the Clippers is one one victory or one loss with the Dallas Mavericks and they will have the fore spot in the West secured. Carlo Jimenez, great call tonight, my friend. Let's do it all over

again on Friday. Let's go Adam rest up last back to back of the year. We made it fifteen, the most in the NBA. We've been through them all. Let's go Clippers. Still at fifty one wins on the season, with the toughest schedule in the association coming up next. Second half highlights more from Bowles Highland thirty seven points his career high. Unfortunately in a lost for Los Angeles Clippers. But they showed a ton of spirit, energy and heart out there. And you see the depth on this ball club.

We'll talk about it all right here on the Los Angeles Clippers Audio Network. Floading Clippers fully loaded with Clippers fans. This is LA Clippers fast Fall. You're listening to the LA Clippers on the LA Clippers Audio Network. Clippers fall to the Suns without their big four, without Terrence Man after the first quarter, without Norton Powell, without Aviza Zoo Bots. They played their hearts out. The young guys were fighting, they were scrapping, they were battling.

It was a fun contest. They just came up a little bit short. They fall to the Phoenix Suns one twenty four to one oh eight, and a game where Bones Highland goes for a career high thirty seven points, had twenty four of those in the first half. There were some more highlights from Bones Highland in the final twenty four minutes. Highland left wing Waits gets a screen from Plumbley, takes it to the top of the arc, dribbles left hand and of their step back. Three. Oh yeah, Bones Island's still

hot left wing three a new career high. Thirty for Bones Highland. Highland, Who's got thirty dribbles down the left alley, a new career high. He throws it in the let me put in Bones Highland. He's unconscious, see if Hiland could get busy, crosses over, takes it down the right way into traffic layup, goes down left Warner O'Neil checks the tape, dribbles right hand, throws it away Highland a takeaway fall on the deck. Hyland spins, takes it down the right alley, plays it up. He in

thirty seven for Bones. Time out Phoenix. Carlo Jiman is on the call. Katie Newton with the highlight package. Bones Highland with thirteen more points in the second half to get to thirty seven points in the ballgame. A career high he was big brother Jake Warners player to watch and bones Highland certainly delivered. The Clippers unfortunately just ran. It seemed like they ran out of talent

later tired legs. The Phoenix Suns came through and out executed them. Where the Clippers only had two points in the final seven and a half minutes of the fourth quarter and they lose one twenty four to one o eight here at

Crypto dot com Arena. Just two games left in the regular season. We'll talk about that coming up next, plus your postgame box score right here on the Los Angeles Clippers Audio Network. They want to bring a banner with them to the Into It doll More LA Clippers Basketball on the LA Clippers Audio Network. Clippers came up just short here at Crypton dot com Arena. They fall

Is they just went cold in the fourth quarter seven and a half minutes where they scored just two points. It was a putback dunk by Brandon Boston. Outside of that, this team they really were competing against this Phoenix Sun squad fully loaded with everything to play

for to try to get out of the play in Bones Highland. He had the Flamethrower thirty seven points career high and forty three minutes a career high minutes played fifteen to twenty nine from the field, six of twelve and three off the bench. Brandon Boston with twenty three points, ten of twenty four, two of nine from the outside. This Clippers team gave everything they had.

They pushed Phoenix to the brink kd Book. Bradley Beal they had just enough for the Clippers in the fourth quarter where they outscored them thirty two to fifteen. Looking for post game audio from Coach Low and the players. Well Updike will be here from Clips and dipp But before any of that, let's pause ten seconds for station identification. Here on M five seventy LA Sports.

This is LA Clippers Basketball. AM five seventy KLAC Los Angeles, ninety eight seven KYSR HD two Los Angeles and iHeartRadio station. I am damn proud of your Clippers, the backups, the young guys, they did not wilt. They were down fifteen early. They didn't give in, make it sixteen at one point. They fought. They didn't run out of effort, they didn't run out of heart. They simply got beat by a much more talented team that had their big three nkd In, Devin Booker in Bradley Beal, and

the Clippers still almost won. I thought they played harder, I thought they outworked the Suns. They just got out talented. They ran out of talent at the very end of this game. They went seven minutes and thirty seconds. At the end of the fourth quarter, with just scoring two points,

you could see some of the tired legs were starting to show up. Bones Highland was at forty three minutes, most he has ever played in any game College high school Brendon Boston at forty minutes whilst he had played, and those two bawled out. Bones Highland with a career high thirty seven points, went six of twelve from distance, fifteen of twenty nine from the field. He had twenty four points in the first half in a three point ride the end

of the first half. I call him the skeleton. When he called him busy Bones, he was getting busy. But this was a guy identified coming into this season and thought that he could have a huge impact on this team, that he could have a breakout season for the Clippers. They bring in James Harden. He loses his minutes, but he showed tonight what he is capable of against high level competition. Bones looked like the best player on the

court for the majority of this game against these two Hall of famers. Devin Booker is going to be in the Hall of Fame, trust me, KD. He's a shilling first ballot. I couldn't be more impressed and proud of the way he played. Brandon Boston. This Clippers team all round, because you look at the guys who are available. Let's see no Kawhi Leonard, no Paul George, no James Harden, no Russell Westbrook, Terrence Man only plays the first quarter. No vitz Zubats, no Norman Powell. And they

competed and they kept their identity. The culture of this Clippers team remained even without their stars. That speaks very highly of the coaching staff, the players, their development, the mindset and how it has shifted. Were coming into this one. They had won seven of eight after being about five hundred for about two months. They wanted this one. They didn't give in just because, well, you don't have your top players and Phoenix is obviously looking for

payback tonight after what happened last night in Phoenix. No, they maintained that competitive integrity, as Brian Seaman would say, and they gave everything they add. Really proud of this group. Yead it came in a loss, schedule loss, Maybe you could say that I don't think they got the memo. When guys have a green light like this when players get extended run, when they have an opportunity to show their full skill set and know that, you

know what, I might get ten shots up, fifteen shots up. Tonight, I'm gonna show what I can do. Guys were in their back bones Highlands, showing off a repertoire of moves. Same with Brandon Boston. Boston, I've said for a long time he reminds me of Randon Ingram body type

shot profile works in the MIDI how lanky he is. But I I know a lot of people have said, well, the Clippers, you know they haven't drafted well enough nights like tonight say otherwise, And really it's about a team with championship aspirations that just doesn't have a lot of time for development. At the moment tonight they did, and guys showed out and showed what they're

capable of. And I don't think you could ask for anything more. Sure, just scoring two points over a seven and a half minute stretch in the fourth quarter tough. It was a put back dunk by Brandon Boston off a miss from Bones Highland. Highlight play. Yeah, they ended up getting out executed by a team coming into this season that had championship aspirations and still does in the Phoenix Suns. The talent's still there, they aren't playing like it

right now. You can tell something doesn't smell right. I'm not sure what's going on with them being down yesterday to the Clippers with a squad still missing Kawhi Leonard and James Harden to the extent they were at home one fan appreciation night, down thirty four to five, was wild, and then tonight Clippers came a run for their money. I really thought they were gonna pull it off. But even in a loss, you can learn. You can see

the progress what Bones Highland can be in this league. Who Brandon Boston can be in this league. When you do it against high level competition like this, I mean, that's great game tape for these young players. And I'm still hoping. You know, I love the skeleton. Key was pointing him out early on this season, thought he was gonna be the backup point guard James Harden comes in. That means Russ Is coming off the bench, loses all those minutes and has been up and down in spotty for him when he

has got in time. The game in Chicago was huge tonight was huge. I still believe in Bones Island having a different element to his game than Russ than James. I'd saying he's better than those guys, just saying there's something he can unlock with his youth youthful exuberance out there and being able to stretch the floor and taking those deep three pointers, but also now being able to

get to the basket and finish there. Finished over three guys at one point in the second half, won the foul, got it technical, got upset. Loss is cool there, but really just a very high ceiling for Bones Highland in my mind, and the potential is there, and I think can still swing a playoff game for this Clippers team, just like he almost did in Game three last season again Phoenix right here at Crypto where he had twenty and just missed a three point that rattle in and out that was about to

blow the top off the arena. Remember that was also the game where Devin Booker committed a take foul and raised his hand and the official didn't call it on Russell Westbrook. It ended up being a turnover. I think a lot of people forget about that game because it ended up being a loss. But Bones was a star. He's fearless and he is coming at you the way he was playing with forced getting to the basket and putting that much pressure on

the defense. That's what I like most. I've known about the three point shooting, but to add that other part to his game where he can be in attack mode, get to the rim, put on ten pounds of muscle. This summer looks stronger, finishes better. That's the difference. He also, by the way, it wasn't just about the thirty seven points led them

with nine assists. He had nine boards yesterday and Phoenix. I know a lot of that is because there were many boards to be had with how many shots were missed by the Suns shooting under thirty four percent from the field in that game. I just don't sleep on bones. This is somebody who in the right spot could help swing a game for the Clippers in the playoffs.

Still believe that eight six six nine seven two five seventy eight six six nine seven two five seventy Jeff leaving the ball game, Jeff, you're on Clippers stop without a Mosland after they fall On's twenty four to one oh eight here at home to the Suns, he vastly undermanned and shorthanded Clippers team. Hey, Adam, season ticket holder, and I just want to say congratulations to the Clippers. They played, They played their hearts out tonight. They deserve

to win that game. Uh take the Big three with Bill, Booker and Durant to thirty five minutes plus and they lose. And really, you know, I think the the star players for the Phoenix Suns, it's number fifty two Scott and number sixteen David. Because we were playing against eight guys out there, we never got any calls. Bones deserved to have forty five points, fifty points tonight and he he just didn't get them tonight. So you know what it is, those young guys don't exactly get the same respect as

your superstars do, no, no, no doubt. I mean when Booker lad got laid out by Bones Island, come on, he's got thirty pounds on him, and you know it was a big deal. So it just I applaud Bones Boston. You know, a mer you know PJ. I mean the whole team, you know, Mason. They they did a great job tonight, that deserved to win. And I'm I'm very proud of them,

Kobe. I mean, the whole group did it awesome. So they played as a team, they played slipper tough, and I don't know if there's any such things as oral victory, but you know, they showed up tonight, so those to them and Flipper Nations should be proud. I like it. Well, put Jeff appreciate the phone call. Yeah. I don't know about moral victories either, but I know about good process and guys making progress and showing things they can build off of and how that can carry over

into future games and performances. It matters when coaches look at tape after this. They don't just throw it out because, well, they lost, so it's meaningless. There's nothing to take away from this ball game. No, they're studying what they did well, what they didn't, regardless of if it was a win or a loss out there. So I'm with you, tip of the cap to this Clippers team. They scrapped, they played hard, they came up short on the talent end. That's it. Everything else felt

like they did right tonight. Bontiland had thirty seven, but the Clippers would fall late one twenty four to one oh eight. Here at crypto dot com Arena to the Phoenix Suns. Two more games left in the season. We'll talk about that more. You'll hear from coach Lou coming up here on Clippers Talk as well. I'm out a moslind and this is Clippers Talk on a five to seventy LA Sports Loading Clippers fully loaded with Clippers fans. This is

LA Clippers Basketball. You're listening to the LA Clippers on the LA Clippers Audio Network. Clippers losing home to the Phoenix Suns one twenty four so one eight here at curfbuild dot Com arena and a home and home back to back situation where the Clippers were basically playing just seven guys tonight, but the magnificent seven. I texted earlier to Carlo Jimenez when we found out who could be available for the Clippers tonight. It was a little bit tongue in cheek, but

I also knew the guys who were available were going to play hard. They didn't leave any talent out there, They didn't cheat the game. They gave everything. They add Phoenix has KD Bradley Beal and Devin Booker, and they were better in the last five minutes. The game got down to clutch time last five minutes within five points. The Clippers played them that tough where there

was a clutch time. I'm impressed. I'm proud of the guys eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six, nine eighty seven two five seventy. This is Clippers talk without a Maslin. Let's hear from Ryan in Burbank. I feel like you called in last night too. I like Ryan, Ryan, what's up? I did? Indeed? Adam, Yeah, like you said, good process in this game. It's nice to see

the young guys get run, play well. And you know, obviously a lot of this year has been a lot of the vet tylu kind of has a you know whatever seven to eight mammorigation was the occasional night that comes in. But I really like what I saw from a lot of the young guys tonight. And I like what you said, Adam two about Bones. I think he has potentially needs to put on a little bit more muscle so he can compete I think a little better with some of the bigger point guards,

you know, defending them. But he's got a lot of potential. And man, this is obviously a big day in the NBA. Too at him, because I mean, as of right now, this Clipper seems kind of locked into this four seat obviously one more win, and it's been great to get Kawhi all the rest because I think they're gonna need it. I think if Denver holds onto this seat and we've beaten the MAVs, I know I'm looking ahead, but that's that's going to be for all the Kahonas in the

West, I think. And I'm liking these young guys getting a little bit of run because one thing Denver to me, they're one week point in the entire season. This yer has been their bench, and I think the Clippers have this type of bench that could compete and give some of these guys a kawim PG, a couple of minutes rest and a big playoff series like that that hopefully will pay dividends down the road. Yeah, I agree with you, Ryan. They may be slightly vulnerable when it comes to that Denver bench.

They lost a couple of guys Bruce Brown, most notably from the championship squad from last season. To appreciate the phone call, but yes, unfortunately, the Denver Nuggets would win, and what was likely a battle for first place in the Western Conference as they were at the top of the West after taking down the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier tonight at home. Jokic had forty What else

is new? He probably also just wrapped up his third regular season MVP forty one eleven and seven assists as they won one sixteen to one oh seven over the Minnesota Timberwolves. They were tied heading into the night, and now they have the edge over the t Wolves and the inside track to being the number one seed in the West yet again. Clippers, with a win or a

Dallas Mavericks loss, will end up being the four seed. Two games left Friday night against the Jazz right back here, just like it was a week ago last Friday against Utah at home, and then Sunday they'll close the regular season out. Game eighty two is against the Houston Rockets here at Crypto dot Com Arena Morris in Long Beach, you're on Clippers stock without a mazin Hi,

Morris Inglewood. I just wanted to say this. Listen, if there was any doubt about the Clippers having any depths in the bitch, ain't nobody got any doubt. Right now, I'm gonna tell you right now, I'm gonna tell you them. The Tippers did draft good. It took Coffee a couple of years to get on the floor. He's on the floor now. They drafted Boston. He's showing what he can do. And you're right both Heiland. If he get a little bit more weight on him, he's gonna

be dangerous. I'm gonna tell you something, madam. They're not scared of nobody right now. You can talk about the joke if you want to, because, like a previous caller said, the joker ain't got no betch it's him and the five guys before guys going to win him. But the Clippers are letting everybody know were ready. They've ready this year. Adam, I'll tell you I've seen it. They ready this year, So I'll give it you next time. All right, all right, Morris, appreciate the phone

call. Morris now of Inglewood. I said it last night, but I feel like it's not the same certainty I had when they were twenty six and five. Of course, during that run a two month stretch where they were obviously the best human basketball. But I'm close to saying I'm feeling just as good about the Clippers right now as I was then. I'm close. It's not a twenty six and five run. But I like the way they're playing. Whatever was missing for a couple of months when they were hanging around five

hundred, well that spirit they had early on the season has returned. Just the level of competitiveness, the fight, the mental toughness closing out games tonight they couldn't. They didn't have their big dogs, they didn't have the stars. I think it was somewhat expected. We'll take a quick time out, We'll come back. We will hear from Will Updyke of Clips and Dip. We'll also hear from coach lou Clippers lose one twenty four to one oh eight

to the Phoenix Suns here at Crypto dot Com Arena. Two games left in the regular season. Yeah, it doesn't compute yet. Maybe will set set in by tomorrow. Clippers fall late, but the backups, I don't know. They have nothing to hang their heads about. I'm outa Mosland and this

is clipperstock here on a five seventy LA Sports. They want to bring a banner with them to the into It doll More LA Clippers Basketball on the LA Clippers Audio Network Busy f and Bones had thirty seven, his career high, played forty three minutes and almost willed the Clippers two way victory over the Suns without their big four, with out of eatsa zubats, without Norman Powell,

Clippers fall lead one twenty four to one eight. Here at Crypto dot com arena, speaking of Willing, we got big Will updike on from Clips and Dip for a little double dip here on Clippers Talk Will I'm proud of this Clippers team, the way they play. I know it's in a loss. You wanted to get the victory, but some of these young guys showed out. I have to be honest, this has gotta be a moral victory and a half. I just I don't know what to say. Man, are

is the Clippers death that good? Or are the Suns really that bad? You know? For any Clippers fans out there who you know have felt a little salty in this rival ry, you know we've kind of gotten the butt end a couple of times in the playoffs. I mean, it does help to remember how the Sun's playoff exits have have happened anytime they've faced an actually healthy team. So you got to feel a little bit better about the history if you're a Clippers fan. But to tonight in particular, man, what

an opportunity for the young guy and way to absolutely seize it. Bones didn't get completely to the forty piece, but thirty seven points from him and twenty three from Brandon Barston Junior. While the shot make late with a little bit perplexing, it would have been awesome to see them get all the way over the hump. This was just this was, like I said, this was a moral victory. This I thought spoke to a lot of like the fiber of what this team is. I mean, this would have been a gimme.

This should have been a gimme win for the Sun. This should have been you know, like, hey, everybody's out, you guys go out there, you know, you try your best, and whatever happens happened. And they didn't come away with the win. But man, did they show what I thought was an astounding amount of character out there. Balls Hyland Huntson for that forty spot late, put up some three pointers. Couldn't get it

to go, he said postgame, he started cramping. Quote, Man, they lucky, not gonna lie he got a little bit tired Prette after not playing any hardly over the past three form basically since November, he's been for the most part out of the rotation, with a few starts here and there when James Harden was out on that road trip, but the Skeleton Key showed off the ARAA tricks he has in his bag. Like, this guy has

high potential. I don't know how anyone cannot see it. At this point, he was doing it against maybe a Sun's team with a lot of turmoil going on. Who knows. They don't look right, but there's still a couple of future Hall of Famers out there, and Bones Island was going right at him. Yeah, I mean you gotta love, you gotta love the confidence and I mean, I don't know, it was just it was just

incredible across the board. And I think for for bones Hyland, I mean, we know what he can do from from behind the arc, but I think he's gotten a lot more crafty as a finisher. The way he's been able to get to the rim, I think it's really impressive, and like he's a guy like I just enjoy watching his game, like aesthetically, the way he moves sort of like the hurky jerkiness to all of it. I

really really enjoy it. And he's out there of late, I mean like he was getting prosps from from you know, Kevin Duran, these guys who were yeah, like like you said, Hall of famers, and just to have that moment for him after a season that you know, I'm sure for him it's been you know, somewhat of a disappointment. Obviously, you're you're

happy to see the team win. It's great that, uh, you know, they were able to bring James Harden in, but from where you started at the at the beginning of the season and what you thought your development might look like and your your minutes and your place on this team might look like, like I said, it just kind of goes back to that moral victory

of like getting in a good one like this. I mean, you've got to show off that you can do, uh and and against a good team like and not against Scrubs or something like like you said, he went right at the very best and it's a shame they didn't ultimately get the better of them. But uh, yeah, I mean love bums. You know, coming into the season, he had the keys to lead the second unit. So, as you mentioned, it must have been disappointing and deflating. And

obviously he was at home with PJ. Tucker right before the All Star break too. Those guys thought they were gonna get more minutes than they thought they were gonna get traded. I am thankful BOMs Highland is still on this team. I still think he could have a moment for them in the playoffs, like we saw last season when the Chips were down. He almost helped him win that Game three against the Phoenix Suns. But Brandon Boston twenty three points.

He played forty minutes ten of twenty four shooting. I know, couldn't get a few good looks to go a wide open three pointer in the fourth quarter where he had all day to think about it. But this was a big opportunity for him as well. Will yeah love it? Look. I mean, Brandon Boston Junior such an interesting journey, like in his tenure with the Clippers, the way he's then sort of up and down, and I think, you know, from a few years ago what we thought he might

be and develop into and sort of how that's happened. It's it's totally interesting with these young guys on a team like the Clippers where it is, you know, obviously both vet heavy, just very talent heavy. You know, it's really difficult to crack a rotation like this and thus, you know, next impossible to get actual developmental minutes at the highest level. So it's good to see Brandon Boston. You know, we haven't seen him have like a

big starlight moment since you know, his version of the Boston massacre. He's still got to work on the efficiency as a scorer. Two of nine from three, uh, not that great. He's definitely gotta be working on that shot. But I mean incredible to see him get it going, you know, and get the opportunity because you know, he is a score first guy to be able to kind of to be able to do what he can do.

I asked Chuck this question last night. I'm gonna ask you because I just saw this a quote coming out from coach Loupo's game saying, yeah, they're already prepping for Dallas. They know it just depends on who has home court. Now. The Clippers need one more victory or one more loss for the Dallas Mavericks to have home court and be the four seed. How are you feeling about this matchup? Kurr is you've had some time to marinate on it a little bit. Will Uh, what's the news on Kawhi Leonard.

We haven't gotten any news on Kawhi Leonard at this point. Oh, that's about how I feel. That's about how I feel for it. Man. Uh. If there's yeah, if there's no more limited Kawhi. I love this team. I love what they've been able to do. I don't think they're getting out of the first round, this Clippers team without Kawhi Leonard. You're saying most people are assuming that he's going to be good to go and

coach Lou they don't seem to be very much worried about it. He was asked about it by Tamarazari pregame, and there doesn't seem to be a high level of concern when it comes to Kawhi Leonard. Obviously, he would have missed about three weeks if he isn't going in the last two games of the regular season by the time that first round playoff series starts. But in terms of the matchup in the Dallas Mavericks, there's nothing to talk about any more.

Between the Pelicans or maybe the Phoenix Suns. It is Dallas. Does that strike fear in you or are you confident that the Clippers have been them before? I could do it again. I mean, it absolutely strikes fearing. What I mean, I mean, this is a different Dallas Mavericks team than we've seen the other two times. But I mean if we're talking a fully healthy Clippers team versus this Mavericks team, I mean, I think either way, you know you're you're looking at a classic, an all time classic

first round matchup. I mean, when has it not been fireworks between these two teams. You know they're a scary opponent, but I got there's a lot of opponents in the West. It's just the way that it is. I tend to like the way this team matches up in a in a longer series against the guard driven team. Personally, I think that that's a good

fit for us. I I mean, I wouldn't say that I prefer it, but you know, if you were asking me to choose which one I preferred out of any of these matchups, I would really not like any of them. I guess unless there was some way the Suns could sneak up there, just because I'd love a little uh, I love a little retribution on the on the way that those playoffs series have went. But uh, I mean, it's it feels it's an inevitability. It's felt like that way for

the past couple of weeks. We know that Tyler is going to get the guys ready, you know, like you do have the benefit of knowing part of what you're facing, right, Like they've seen Luca enough times. He has grown, he has changed, but you know, you do have the

familiarity there. This Clippers scene is different too, though, I mean the way that they can initiate the offense is much different, which I think should be scary thinking about the defensive end with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, if you know, if they have to do less ball handling and they can really be locked in there because that was his no squaws defensively either. But I I, I, well, I like our chances in a in a seven

game series, assuming full help. But it's not gonna be easy. But I gotta be honest with you, I just can't other than maybe the sun's just because they look so discombobulated, but they still have the scores to make it a series. None of these matchups in this in this four or five where we're gonna be a cakewalk, and it's not looking that much better if you were to move up to three in the three six either. You know what I'm saying, it's not None of these are gonna be cakewalks. This

one's gonna be difficult. But I think when loser draw, it's gonna be like a classic. I think that these I love the way that these two teams match up, and I as stressful as it is, I have loved watching them watching these playoff series so far, Round three between the Clippers and Luca doncis now with Kyrie Irving as well, is inevitable. All we don't know is so far is who's gonna start with home court advantage? Where are

they gonna tip things off of? In about ten days from now, Clippers lose to once twenty four to one oh eight at home to the Phoenix Suns.
