Time for a postgame look. It's your La Clippers. This is Clippers Locker Road, brought to you by Cedars Sinai, the official health partner of the LA Clippers, and by Paschonga, official travel casino of the LA Clippers. Breaking down today's action with the pre and post game voice of You're LA Clippers. They're locking in every game every night. Adam Osland and the Clippers suffer their first loss of the season, losing by two in Utah with a final

score of one twenty to one eighteen. Welcome into your postgame show. I'm Adam Oslin coming up second half highlights and your final box score. But while we have a moment, let's pause ten seconds for station identification on the Los Angeles Clippers Audio Network. This is La Clippers Basketball AM five to seventy KLAC Los Angeles, ninety eight seven KYSR HD two Los Angeles and iHeartRadio Station.

Let's get back to your radio voice of the Clippers in Carlo Jimenez from Delta Center and the Clippers were a three pointers short on a night where the Utah Jazz hit sixteen of them from winning this ballgame. Carlo, it was a tough one down the stretch was a tough one down the stretch. Credit Utah. They came out of that loss against Sacramento saying, hey, we need to shoot more threes. We need to make more threes. They did that.

They hit sixteen after hitting just nine. They shot thirteen more than they did on Wednesday, and they beat the Clippers to the fifty to fifty balls. They hit thirty three points from the second chance. They had sixteen off turnovers. At the end of the day, Adam, we were talking about it. I feel like as this game went along, the Clippers were going to steal this game if they were gonna come away with a win. They didn't play their brand of basketball. The defensive intensity that we saw in Game

one wasn't there, the rebounding wasn't there. It was gonna be an ugly win. And at the end of the day, the ugly win caught up to them. Yeah, you said it. Those bad habits they can catch up to you. Offensive rebounds by the Utah Jazz it was marketing with a big one in the fourth quarter those threes from Olanic, but a Clippers killer in Jordan Clarkson hitting that three pointer late. That was the eventual backbreaker. Yeah, Clarkson was good tonight. That was his third three of the ballgame

to go for his thirteen points wory. Marketing was just excellent for this team, and the Utah Big came away with thirty five points and Adam I go back to a play where Marketing ran in transition and Utah had about four or five tip ends right at the rim, and Marketing got one to go,

and you just felt like, man, the Clippers are right there. But the only person rebounding for most of that second stretch was Russell Westbrook, and he was involved in everything, but no one else really around the basketball. And unfortunately Russ couldn't get that turnaround fade away to go at the buzzer there. Kawhi Leonard would miss a three point or late that would have put him up by one. It wasn't meant to be. Kawhi did have nine of

his twenty five points in that fourth quarter. I thought Norman Powell was especially special in the fourth with fourteen of his twenty points, albeit in a loss, but it was good to see Norm dig himself out of that shooting slump. Carlo, Yeah, he was excellent on the offensive end and excellent on

the defensive end as well. I would not be surprised if we see Norm finish a lot more games this season, because every time you saw I had the ball, it was Chris Dunn going at Norman Powell, and Dunn didn't score his first points till the fourth quarter. He finished two for seven from the field in his eighteen minutes. Norm stood up to the challenge and put the clamps on. There's a lot of good to take away from today.

You battled on the road, you fell behind early to come back, but for a team that looked to turn the page to be a new team, to not fall behind in those deficits and clean up things like offensive rebounding. Felt like we saw last year's Clippers a little too much tonight. Yeah,

regrets little bit, especially on the glass. Seventeen offensive rebounds in the victory for the Utah Jazz as they win one twenty till one eighteen over your Los Angeles Clippers, who return home on Sunday to be met by the ninth or eighth Wonder of the World, whatever you want to call them, Victor Webbin Yama and the San Antonio Spurs will be in town. Clippers outscored them by four in the fourth quarter, thirty five to thirty one. That thirty one is still too big of a number when you're

we'll get to some second half highlights. Bart Scott hasn't left yet. You can't either. Clippers were down at the half sixty three to fifty four. In the third quarter, though after leading them with sixteen points in the first half. Paul George was cooking George straight away, with Collins rocking back and forth, dribbling with left hand Clarks in the switch. George a three yacht see Paul George from downtown. We got a one possession ball game, seventy

four to seventy one, George wit twenty three. Tonight, Clippers will move the other way seventy six seventy one the Utah League. Georgevin's the man of the hour down the right alley fades right handed, lamp up and end. Paul George is on fire. Seventy six seventy three, Utah George went twenty five, Clippers down by three with the ball, George step back right wing three. Why not Paul George cannot be stopped? Twenty eight points and the

Clippers down three seventy nine seventy six. Paul George had fifteen points in the third quarter alone, and after trailing by as many as fourteen, the Clippers had cut it to eighty nine to eighty three heading into the fourth. And how about Norman Powell. We were looking for him to come around, knock off a little bit of rust early season rust. It's been a pattern with him in his career, and he stepped up in a huge way in the

fourth quarter, giving the Clippers a chance. Here come the Clippers. Highland pushing left wings, thought about a three stops the dribble, wait for his teammates to catch up, pal right corner three, got it. Norman Powell with some string music and the Clippers back within seven ninety seven, ninety nine

to twenty five to go. Fourth quarter. Hyland finds me toom thought about a left wing three into the corner for Pala tax Alane gets by Tucker right handed, flutter up and in Norman Palell makes it a one point game. Ninety nine ninety eight well eleven two Clippers run Norman, Powell, Storm and Norman with fourteen of his twenty points in the final period. Kawhi had nine.

In the fourth. Paul George hit a big three, as did Nicholas Batoom, but none bigger than the shot hit from distance by Jordan Clarkson that would put the Utah Jazz up. Too late, Clippers got off a tough possession Kawhi Leonard Along three pointer bounced into the hands of Russell Westbrook trying to turn around fade away as the buzzer was going off, not to be in.

The Clippers fall one twenty to one eighteen in Utah to the Jazz coming up still we got Clippers sock on the m five to seventy LA Sports if you want to get on early eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy we'll take it till the top of the next hour. Next though final box score Clippers lose one twenty to one eighteen in Utah. They're one and one on the season, take their

first loss, and you're listening to the Los Angeles Clippers Audio Network. The LA Clippers continue their hunt for a Larry O. B They still want to get that be. Don't miss a moment all season long. This is the LA Clippers Audio Network. Clippers take their first l of the season. They lose in Utah for the eleventh straight time in the regular season. Final score one twenty to one to eighteen in favor of the Jazz. Jordan Clarkson would

knock down a huge three late to put them up by two. I took a tough three, bounced off the ram Russell Westbrook had an opportunity, couldn't get it to go, and the Clippers are one and one on this young season. After the Utah Jazz this is a staggering number. Got up nineteen more shot attempts than the Clippers in this one. That is tough to overcome. It's almost shocking that the Clippers were in this game and leading late.

The Jazz got up those nineteen more shots, mostly because seventeen offensive rebounds to just six for your Los Angeles Clippers. Clippers was sixteen tur and overs, leading the fifteen points. Jazz with fourteen turnovers leading to sixteen points. You're a leading score. Paul George finished with thirty six, had a big three late wasn't enough. Kawhi Leonard twenty five had nine of his twenty five in the fourth quarter off the bench. Norman Pale had fourteen visit twenty in the

fourth. With the Clippers fall late in Utah by two, final score one twenty to one eighteen. Clippers next game coming up Sunday. I'll be back at the Crip taken on Victor Webbin Yama. Have you seen that half court alley up Cottumo reverse dunk unbelievable against Houston Tonight? San Antonio's in town and I got the biggest attraction in the NBA right now in Victor of Wemban Yama. Tip. Time for that one's at six. Clippers countdown at five.

Outside of Los Angeles, we're leaving you until then. In LA, it's Clippers stop next. Hello Clippers fans. If you're gonna go for it, if that's what you want to do, you do welcome the Clippers talk. It was Jordan Clarkson Clipper Killer and the Clippers take their first loss of the season. They lose by two final score one twenty to one eighteen. Is the Jazz get their first win of the season. Welcome into Clippers Talk. I'm out a

Moslin. We'll get to all your phone calls eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventy of the phone number got a pair of tickets to give away to Saturday Night's contest where the Clippers are taken on Victor Winbinyama and the San Antonio Spurs from Crypto dot Com Arena. But there's just a lot to sort through in this game from the Clippers, and by no means was it a well played ballgame by the Clippers.

This was more the same of what we saw last season, and I gotta say it's disappointing because they had a chance with their early season schedule, going against the Magic, going against Utah tonight, the Spurs, in between both those teams to start the season. Four Now to really get off on the right foot, to erase all that bad taste you'd have in your mouth post game after so many games last season. Now, Clippers came out,

didn't play the right way in the first quarter. Granted, Utah was hot from the outside, and there's not much you can do with some of those three pointers. I'm thinking about Kawhi Leonard all over thht on one in the far side quarter in the first half that he knocked down right in his face. It just doesn't matter. I'm thinking about Lori Marknen from thirty feet out knocking one down in the face of Norman Powell. There's not much you can

do. You tip your cap. But Utah after only taking under thirty I want to say it was twenty nine in three pointer attempts in Game one against Sacramento. We talked about it with Carlo Jomenez, your radio voice of the Clippers. They would be hell bent on getting up more threes. Tonight and they did forty one of them, and they hit sixteen. And it was that sixteenth that was the difference maker, that was the critical shot of the ball game, and it was Jordan Clarkson in a game where they were down

one he went for three. Could be part of the reason the Clippers weren't prepared for that, and they didn't look that prepared on the other end, they didn't call time out. The official thought they were going to, and the Clippers didn't, and it looked a little discombobulated. You're down by two. Kawhi Leonard went for the kill shot three he missed. Russ had an

offensive rebound. It looked like there was enough time for him to kick it out to Nicholas Patoom on the right wing for an open three pointer, but instead turn around fade away. Not to be Clippers fall by two in a game they trailed by ten and early in the fourth quarter, I thought it was going to be a classic Clippers come back with ten ten left in the fourth they trailed by ten. Easy for me to say a bit of a

tongue twister after marketing a knockdown two at the line. It was ninety seven eighty seven, Utah up by ten, I said on Twitter, get Kawhi back into the ballgame. About twenty seconds later, he was back in and started to go to work. Kawhi had nine of his twenty five points, starting with a three pointer in the fourth quarter. Norman Palell got off the

snide. If you're looking for positives and silver linings in a game where the Clippers lost, Norman Powell finding a shooting stroke after a tough opening night, after a tough preseason, and the reputation of getting off the slowl starts well. Norm had just six points entering the fourth. He would finish with twenty. Had fourteen points in the fourth quarter, big shot after big shot.

A few really nice assists found Mason Plumley for an easy one early in the fourth after Norm turned the corner multiple times on his defenders and got to the rim. But the Clippers come up short in a winnable game even with all the self inflicted wounds. I see fourteen turnovers on one box score. I see sixteen on another, and that one says official box score. We'll go with it for now. But too many sloppy turnovers early on in the game.

At the half, the Clippers had ten of them. Make it eleven just inexcuseable after a game where you had seventeen Wednesday night against the Portland Trailblazers. You're making it tougher than it needs to be. Utah is talented last season, they were at the top of the West for a couple weeks early on, and I knew they would give the Clippers their best shot tonight after

losing to Sacramento. But you can't give them extra opportunities. What happened to winning the possession battle That was a key talking point throughout the preseason, and at the half, Utah had already attempted eleven more shots than the Clippers. By the end of the ballgame, Utah attempted ninety six shots, the Clippers seventy seven, a nineteen shot difference that's almost impossible to overcome. For the Clippers to be in that game and be leading late before that shot from Jordan

Clarkson is almost remarkable. They were up one with forty one seconds left when Utah got the ball, drove down there, set it up and Jordan Clarson hit that straight away three. They battled back. But I don't like seeing bad habits like getting down and waiting to have a sense of urgency instead of

hitting first. I have to be honest about that. I know it's a new season, but there were similarities and some of the same errors, miscusing problems and issues we saw last season too often that we saw into night's Clippers game. It wasn't a back to back. They had a day off in between the victory where they were up by as many as thirty on Portland Wednesday

night. They had time to regroup. They had Bones Hyland, who was questionable earlier dealing with that ankle injury, look pretty damn good in this one. Bones had I want to say, ten points in the first half. Let me double check this. He had twelve twelve points in eleven minutes in cinndiary. He just is able because when you're running the show, it's not like anyone else needs to find him for him to get shots up. Bones brings the ball up to court and he's looking to score, and I'm good

with it. I don't care if Kawhi's out there, Paul George. There are times where those two need breaks and somebody else has to step up. Norm was great in the fourth quarter and Coach schlu rode the hot hand, but bones, especially in the first half where he was five for five and knocked down two three pointers to get those twelve points. He was helping keep the Clippers in it. There were some tough performances though by their front court

Aviza Zubots and Mason Plummeley were not good enough tonight. Big Zoo was my player to watch. Finished with six points and two rebounds in nineteen minutes. That can't happen in a game you're getting dominated on the glass. Mason Plumbley really struggled. Was a minus eleven out there, just three points in twelve

minutes for boards. People are asking me on Twitter because Marketen had multiple offensive rebounds on that tip in late That was a huge possession with forty six seconds left that put him up one seventeen to one sixteen before Paul George knocked down a couple of free throws to put the Clippers back up one eighteen to one seventeen. People were saying, well, why is it zooing there? Why is it Mason Plumbley, Well, rewind what I just said twenty seconds ago.

They didn't play well enough, They didn't earn those minutes late they put coach Luna position where you had to just lean into offense because if we're not getting boards anyways with our bigs, then we're just gonna try to go four offense. Catch back up in this game by playing five out with wings and guards and scores, and it worked, but they couldn't get to that ball. I know Paul George was there battling Marketing, who had a great game

thirty five points. I think he was Zach chick On. This was he most improved player of the year. Last year when Utah was thriving, market In was an absolute beast. He had a career year. He was that good and he was the most improved player. It's gonna be hard for him to do that two years in a row because he set the bar so high and just came out and knocked down five three pointers and finished with thirty five and twelve. Walker Kessler, who worries me, he only had four boards.

John Collins, though, also had twelve and five offensive rebounds, just like Marketing. That's the area. When you look at field goal attempts ninety six to seventy seven in favor of the Utah Jazz, well, they had two less turnovers and they had eleven more offensive rebounds than the Clippers eleven. Just brutal. I don't know how you overcome that disparity of seventeen to six

in the offensive rebounding category. Clippers almost did, but they looked like they were trying to get by on talent alone tonight, if I'm being honest, and that's not a great sign. That's what we dealt with last season too often. And while Russ, I thought had some really good moments and was a part of that fourth quarter and was crashing boards and as a small you give him credit. He had a big block too, was making the effort there. He had five turnovers, all five came in the first half.

But he's the floor general. He played thirty seven minutes. He played as many minutes as Kawhi and Paul George. Paul George had just two turnovers. Kawhi had just won. Russ is your traditional point guard now setting to the table. He can't have five turnovers to forress. It's gonna be tough to

win on nights like that. Just four points. By the way, I thought he showed some heart and some hustle, and I need to see that play again, by no means, am I putting it on one guy, But it looked like Nicholas Batum was calling for the ball on that offensive rebound. Give him credit for that, Russ's It's not even arguable he's the greatest

rebounding guard I think ever. But but toom, the first thing I thought was the three pointer he hit to tie the game at Madison Square Garden last season where the Clippers eventually won in ot He's got that quick trigger release from distance. And I'm not sure if there was enough time or if Russ knew if there was enough time late, but it would have been interesting to see if Nicholas Patum got that shot attempt as he was wide open from three.

Clippers lose by two in Utah to the Jazz eleventh straight loss in the regular season. In Utah told you the free game tough place to play, no matter how talented they are. If you're talking Stockton and Malone or Darren Williams and Carlos Boozer, or Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, or guys like markt In and Jordan Clarkson and thht Tonight, always a tough place to play. More Clippers talking a pair of tickets to give away to Crypto dot Com Arena.

Sunday Night, Clippers back home taking on the San Antonio Spurs and Viktor Winbnyama best call. When's the pair? I've met a Moslin. You're listening to Clippers stock, You're already in above seventy LA Sports. They want to bring a banner with them to the into it down more LA Clippers basketball on

the LA Clippers Audio Network some early season. This one stings as the Clippers lose by two in a very winnable game late in Utah one to one eighteen as Russell Westbrook got the rebound with about two and a half three seconds left off the miss from Kawhi Leonard on the left wing and batoom Is wide open on the right wing. Call for the basketball and Russ tried a turnaround fade away over Kelly Olinic. He misses. Clippers lose Olynic by the way two

back to back huge three pointers in the fourth quarter. In the threes were part of the story, but there's not much you can do with some of that hot shooting from Utah. Kawhi was up on Olynic, had a hand in his face, far side corner knocked it down, didn't matter. There are things you can do for hustle wise on the glass, and the Clippers

simply weren't good enough in that area. Where the Jazz finished with thirty three second chance points on twelve nineteen shooting, Clippers had just eight second chance points Utah and those seventeen offensive rebounds leading to nineteen more shot attempts did the Clippers in tonight? They fall one twenty to one eighteen. All right, phone calls Javier in Lahabra Heights. You're on Clippers talk without Am awesome Lhaber or just lab Yeah, Lahabor Heights. Heis Adam at the Heights. Yeah,

real quick? You know what everything you mentioned in the last segment, it was on spot. I mean, what are all gonna say? You just said it? I mean we've seen this movie last year, Adam, same the three Things. Turnovers again, sixteen turnovers, second of all, boxing out, Adam, second chance points unbelievable. I mean they were playing Utah, Adam. You imagine they're playing Dember Phoenix the Lakers. They need to know how to box out, Adam. I mean it's not that hard.

I mean, you're you're boxing out in high school ball. Here's the problem, though, Xavier. Their small guys were it's their bigs, that's who I put this on. It's plumbly. It's a Visa Zoo boss. They need to be better there. How does big Zoo get two boards in nineteen minutes? That's why they weren't playing late. The effort wasn't good enough. Yeah, you know, and you're right, that's what you said. That's how they didn't do the last one four or five minutes. And the last

thing, Adam, you nailed it too. How many time out the tit you have? He did not use the timeout, Adam. He's not going to take those time off home. Use them, use them, use one of them. Oh, there's a couple of schools of thought there, Javier. It's not as simple, is that, Because if you think you have the matchup advantage, you don't want the Utah Jazz to be able to set

up their defense on the other end. And that's I'm sure what the Clippers thought they had, and I believe it was Jordan Clarkson on Kawhi Leonard who settled for a left wing three late. I don't mind that matchup at all. I don't know if they needed a three pointer, a two ties it, Kawhi was going for the win. I don't know if that is the main reason. We can scrutinize the final play all we want, but when a team gets up nineteen more shots than you, the amount of times you're

gonna win that game is few and far between. It is an extraordinary oddity to win a game where a team almost takes twenty more shots than you, exactly. And like I said that before, Adam, like Pat Rdy used to say when he was forshing the Knicks, the Lakers, and Miami rebounds wins championships. If the Clippers can find a way to rebound and box out, I'm not going to go far at him. They have to, they have to leave. I'm with you here and give Adrian Brody the Emmy,

the Oscar, whatever it is. His portrayal of pat Riley unbelievable. I can't believe Winning Time got canceled. I'm gonna cancel HBO just because that. Uh Sean and Inglewood Sean, what's up You're on Clipper stock with that? I'm awesome, Hi, Adam, First of all, let me disqualify myself to win the tickets because I won't be there. I can't believe their Sunday. So hopefully someone else will win and enjoy the gang. And well, I hope your call is still good. I hope your call is still good.

Sean. Yeah, I hope so too. I hope you like my call. But I'm not call I'm gonna argue with you, Adam. I'm just saying that for over two years, we need to have a power forward that's six' ten in the bow when you're playing Utah Denver if you will San Antonio. Okay, see, they're gonna have two big guys in there,

so maybe zubak Is brought him out one of the big guys. If you don't realize the other big guy Roman free or had somebody six to seven trying to guard, and maybe even the guard that their their nature is not blocking out Sean. If there was a power forward available that the Clippers could have easily gotten that can also shoot, because you need shooters on the floor.

You get having a guy there for defensive reasons or just rebounding, that's great on that end, but if he's a liability on the other and takes away a shooter you're gonna be hurt on the offensive end. No, you did. You're taking away what I'm trying to tell you. When you're playing a bigger teams. Okay, you put this, you put the double big fen Okay, Dylu will never ever put double big in. You can't.

Really you want Plumbly and viza zoobots out there at the same time. I would do it for a minute or two, but that's not the point. The point that is your point. No, it's not, and it sounds like a bad one. You're not playing those two guys at once. With Russ on the floor, there's three non shooters right there. I didn't you argue with you had played for the team today, they would have won this game. They lost the game on the board. Have you watched Diabate in

the preseason at all, Sean, Have you even watched him? Do you think he's earned minutes to be out there boards? He will fight on the boards better than anybody else. I can't showing Sean, Sean. Robert Covington fights on the boards and he's almost as big as Mussa Diabate and he's there starting powerful. He's too small for this team, for this line up. He's too small. Get a Viza zoo that's too small, Sean, is a Visa zubas too small? He had two boards. He's playing one center.

There's other centers on the floor and the Utah. You're playing Utah playing Golden State. Sean, here's what you're telling me. And no, no, no, Sean, I'm gonna take you at your word. You say, if Mussa Diabate is out there, so Musa Aviza, Zubos, Kawhi PG, and Russell Westbrooks. You're starting five. That's three non shooters on the court. Sean. No, I took your point. Take mine. That's three non shooters on the court. It's just Kawhi and Paul George.

That's what you want. You don't consider a Viza zoobots, Russell westbrook and Mussa Diabate non shooters. No. See, first of all is anchored in Okay. We know that. Okay, So you need at least shoot from outside. What are you talking about? What are you talking can shoot from the outside, Sean, you don't even know the player. I'm sorry, Oh my god. I can't argue with people that have no idea the scouting on a player Musa Diabate has shown nothing to tell you that he can shoot

from the outside. Hell, he's been missing layups, floaters, everything. I love him. He's young, he's developing, that's the point. But saying you should start him because you're going up against the Utah Jazz and they have some bigs, great gang rebound. If you want that advantage on the offensive side of that switch ability and having more shooting, you have to give something up defensively. In theory, Clippers just need a better effort crash the

boards. They know they're going to be undersize some nights. That's not an excuse for Vitza Zubas to have two boards, for Robert Covington to only have two all George had four, Kawhi had nine. There's your leading rebounder. He tied Russell Westbrook with nine, Kawhi with those three offensive rebounds too. Yeah, tough one. Sean Jose and Downey Jose. What's up? You're on clipperstock Hey, and how you doing. I gotta agree with everything you

were saying in the last segment. It just looked like last year the effort and yeah, all that talk that we heard in the preseason about gonna fight for the fight for the ball, get to the ball first. Our defense is gonna be elevated, and we were missing and that lack of effort. We can't start the game like that, especially against these young teams. Our track record against these young teams in the last four years have been horrendous. They need to, like you said, they just need to come out with

the effort. Even if you put in the effort and you're not making all your shots, I don't think it so hot because once they get hot early, that confidence goes up and they're gonna take these threes, these Levis threes or shots like they did in the second half or in the fourth quarter, that one in the game. I completely agree, Jose. I say it all the time. You let a young team or a lesser team get confidence early. It doesn't matter if you put a hand up late. They're already

hot, they're in a rhythm. It's too late. That is Coach Low's point. Start the game with physicality hit first. Clippers were down thirty three to thirty after the first quarter, but I want to say they were down by as many as eight to ten midway through the first They had to battle back bones came in gave them some life there towards the end of the first quarter. It was the opposite of what we saw against Portland, where they

shrunk the floor. They bothered them with their length. I didn't like the effort out of the gate. Dre let it run. Clippers lose one twenty to one eighteen to the Utah Jazz on the road, their first loss of the season. We'll get back to your phone calls. I got a pair of tickets to give away Sunday night's game. You want to see Victor woman Yama. I mean, you could probably see him from your house anywhere you

are, he's that big. But if you want to be in the building at crypto dot com arena eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number. Tip time for that one's at six. Clippers countdown starts at five. Please don't call me talk about Mussa diabat tonight. I just if the Clippers are relying on Mussa Diabate to save them on the boards, then they've already lost. He's

not ready yet. He had a great game his first stint against Portland, and after that it looked like deer in the headlights at times. He's a young player. It's understandable he'll get there, and he plays a lot in the G League. Still seasoning. Clippers fall by two tonight in Utah. You're listening to a five to seven LA Sports. They want to bring a banner with them to the into it dull more LA Clippers basketball on the LA Clippers Audio Network. Yeah. I mean, the Clippers lost tonight because they

didn't get bords. But if Musa Diabate has to start for that to change, I think you're gonna run into some other problems. Clippers lose one twenty to one eighteen to the Utah Jazz in Utah. Frustrating one just game two. But let me tell you the Clippers schedule. What's the line from Game of Thrones The night is dark and full of terror. It's treacherous and full of terror. It's not exactly tiptoeing through the tulips in a few weeks.

So you have to win the games that are winnable against lesser competition. And this looked like the Clippers regressing and resorting back to some of the play we saw last season where they just weren't locked in enough, weren't aggressive enough consistently. And yeah, there were good performances. Paul George fifteen points in the third quarter, had ten straight from him at one point, Kawhi Leonard nine of his twenty five in the fourth, but took a tough three pointer.

Russ got the rebound with three point three seconds left. Now, for all those just blaming Russ and saying, well, you got to see that, Nicholas Batoum is calling for the basketball. I brought it up to and he is. But it's tough in the moment to know exactly how much time is left. By the time he gets to the floor off the rebound, it's already almost a two seconds situational basketball though, and he took a tough fade away over Olenk. It was short and buttoom is calling for the ball.

I trust Batum with that shot implicitly, He's hit it too many times. One of his first games is a Clipper, we started calling him Saint Nick. I think it was against Denver. Had a big shot against Phoenix from distance his first year with the Clippers. Mentioned the shot against New York last season to get them into overtime with zero time left on the clock, and

he got it off and they eventually won that one. Welcome back in the Clippers stock, I'm out of Moslin eight six six nine eight seven two five. Seventy of the phone numbers still got a pair of tickets to give away the Sunday Nights game at Crypto dot Com Arena Clippers going up against Victor winm min Yama and the San Antonio Spurs and Greg Pofovich Omar on Long Beach.

What's up here on clipperstock with that Amasen? Yeah, man, tough low tonight man, tough low, Ah, I want to get to where let's talk about tonight man, how are we going to move on in the center position? Because that is key? That is key, move on about be about I mean after Zubab It's like we need help down there. Plumb Plummy didn't even show up tonight. Like look, look, Omar, plumbly had a bad night. Zubat's had a bad night. I get it, you're

frustrated, but these are your guys. Gotta you gotta roll with them. I mean, Zoo's coming off a game where he had twenty twelve and four. You're right, man, But it's tough, man. We got to get over the hump. We're finely healthy as a unit. Tough one slip away, tonight, tough one slip away. No, it's a good point, Omar, and stay on hold for me. You're in the running for

the tickets, all right. Stay on hold, Omars, all right, because you don't know how many games you're gonna get where the Clippers are this healthy with Kawhi and Paul George, they've won seventy percent of the games they've been out there together as Clippers. Unfortunately, they've only played in about thirty three percent of the total amount. It's somewhere around three hundred and thirty games

available over the last four seasons. You gotta get wins there. And I just didn't like those same bad habits popping up like whack them mole, Clippers, fix one thing, you plug a hole there, A new league starts in the ship. You have to get better performances from Viatz Zubots and Mason Plumbley though. That's what they are there for games like this where teams are big, strong and crashing the boards. Jose and Southgate, you're on Clippers.

South of that amasen Jose, what's up? I don't I visually missed one game and all I'm here as we got to move on from our centers. What happened at him? But shout out, iHeart radios. I was at a drunking treat, but a shout out part of the mans French first on the board. That was the first one for me. But from what I heard, whenever I put the little heads phone in, don't highland, he was going off. So that's good. Some consistency and Norman Powell got

it going, which that was good. Like you said, preseason, first game was looking so good. But I don't say you four no, you know we wanted to start five to note, come on now, but that would the Lakers game. I get where you're going with Dudek, say with your chest, stay with your chest. You know when to start? How about four and one, because that's what's going to have to be now that

they lost tonight. I'll take that because I was gonna say, but you know, on our team to stay in the seat and start the season. But you know that first loss is the one you hate to get, but also you're waiting to get. That was the team to get the emotions going. Now, how was gonna say one thing? But you know how it goes with me. A season's Clippers Jose in Southgate appreciate you, but we don't hear from Omar enough. Omar coming to the game on Sunday night,

Clippers taken on the San Antonio Spurs. Omar, hold on for us, Stay on hold, We'll get your information. We'll get you those tickets. We want to see you at Crypto dot com arena. It is a big one, to say the least, especially after the Clippers lose tonight. Congratulations though, Listen to every Clippers game on AM five seventy LA Sports all season long and you two can win some tickets like Omar in Long Beach. Tickets,

by the way, are in section one eleven, row thirteen. I think you'll be close enough to see the seven foot five wonder of the World, Victor wibin Yama. It's gonna be a good time. Clippers, though, need to win ball games because the godlet shows up in a couple of weeks from now. Just playoff team after playoff team after elite team after championship team. They'll see the Denver Nuggets early in the season and these are the ones you look back on. I can remember last season some of the games

they lost early on that would come back to bite them. A couple of games to ok se in Oka see early in the season. Good team, but Clippers have more talent okay see. This season definitely a problem. They lost two games to the Orlando Magic. Those things come back to haunt you. So if I sound harsh or overly critical because the Clippers lost by two in Utah, it's just because I'm looking at the schedule and I know how much tougher it's going to get, and they're not even close to entering the

teeth of their schedule. I set it for a long time now. The softest part of their schedule is at the beginning of the season, included tonight's

game in Utah. You don't overlook anyone. I knew Utah would be tough and it would probably come down to the fourth quarter, but the Clippers made it tougher on themselves, down ten with ten ten left, and they just didn't take advantage of the talent disparity and having Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, and it looked like they were just showing up late when they needed to to have another Clippers comeback instead of imposing their will from the opening tip. And

that's what's frustrating and a little bit discouraging tonight. We'll see what happens Sunday against Victor wemben Yama. Before we get out of here, Omar, you stay on hold. Don't you be going anywhere. We're gonna get you those tickets. I do want to bring in Zach attack. Our producer did a fantastic job tonight, and we're gon call this one in one. Zach gets a question towards me, I gotta throw one back at him. Zach,

what do you got hit me? My question is about Robert Covington. Okay, Roco, A lot of fans were upset with the lack of playing time he got last year. Why are we going there tonight? I mean, come on, see you no seeing him? These first two games this season, he's been underwhelming. I but do you look you're box score watching? Do you think underwhelming? Yeah? He can pastic game one? Then why are we complaining about rebounds? Why do we have people like Sean calling in

about Diabate getting playing time instead of Roco? Well, Shawn's nuts and I love him, but he always he wants to play three bigs, forget the two towers. He wants to go back to nineties NBA ball and doesn't realize those guys would get stretched out on the other end, on the perimeter, and therefore they wouldn't be getting boards anyways because they're not close to it. Roco was great, I thought in Game one, contesting everything at the rim.

He only played twenty minutes to Night one of three four points, just one board, So to your point, a few different guys were off, but I'm not worried about it. Roco in the starting lineup until Terrence Man returns, and maybe it's by committee after that. All good. Before we get out of here, do you have a question for me, I got a question for you. Yes, guy, you'd least like to fight on the Clippers roster because you are a mooe Thai expert and you're undefeated. Yeah,

unlike the Clippers. Right now, I would have to say, Kawhi. It makes sense. He's got those hands. He's like a He was in that terminate commercial, very scary, oh with the red eye with the red eyes. Yeah, got come with me if you want to win. That's usually what I like to use with Kawhi the terminator. Good answer, Thank you, Zach. Before we get out of here, I do want

to thank the Clippers organization. No At Eagle, Ralph Lawler, Bryan Seeman, Carlo Jmenez on the call, Big Brother, Jake Warner, the callers, the listeners, Oh maar, hold on, we'll get to you. We'll see you at crypto dot com. Sunday night, Clippers one in one going up against the San Antonio Spurs and Victor Woman. Ya'm my tip time at six Clippers countdown at five, I'm out of Maslin.
