The game is over all George Money in the pain, but the postgame reaction has just begote gohi letard is so smooth in the mid range. This is Clippers locker Room, a recap of today's game and a look ahead on your hope for LA Clippers basketball at now your host, You, sir, are a bad man, Adam Ousley. Clippers win one thirty four to one twenty six as they survive fifty from Steph Curry and beat the Golden State Warriors. Here from Crypto dot com Arena. I'm Adam Oslin. Welcome to your postgame
show. Coming up. We got second half highlights in your post game box score, Clipper Nation. What a victory, biggest win of the season. Considering there's just twelve games left now and the Clippers have won four straight and I believe have the longest winning street currently in the Western Conference or at least tied for it. Nope, they stand alone in that category. They improve to being the fifth seed as tonight was to determine that for the moment.
There's still a lot of time left in the season and a lot of jockeying for position in the Western Conference standings. Of course, with how close things are sees five through ten, separating themselves by just two make it three games now, but the Clippers being able to take down a Golden State Warriors team that got this level of performance from Steph Curry where you could tell they circled
this one. I heard it the other night, but when the Golden State Warriors, who just had two really good victories over the Bucks and over the Suns. After that Sun's game, Steph talked about getting one on the road, and they're on a five game road trip. This was game one of that road trip for them, and I felt like they put out their best effort to try to switch up that narrative. Where they are now seven and twenty seven on the road so far this season, which is a little bit
perplexing coming from the defending champs. They gave the Clippers their best shot tonight, but I felt like the Clippers answered the call each and every time. They'd end up getting thirty from Kawhi Leonard twenty four from PG thirteen, who hit two huge three pointers in the fourth quarter, including the dagger that had Steve Kerr calling off the Dogs, or so we thought. He took Steph Curry out of the ball game, but they were still intentionally fouling late.
They were still trying to find a way to just get back into this one, but surviving fifty from Steph Curry where he had a twenty one point third quarter, and the Clippers ended up winning the third quarter. Anyways, part of the reason was Eric Gordon eg He finished with fourteen of his sixteen points in that third quarter. Just an incredible performance, and he kind of countered some of those deep threes and that ability to stretch the floor. Well,
Eric Gordon was able to do some of that. He hit all four of us three pointers in that third quarter. Or now rejoined by our voice of the Clippers in Noah Eagle, Noah biggest victory of the season, considering everything at stake in this one, and I thought they took Golden State's best shot, who was out Hunteam for a victory on the road, a nationally televised
game. They gave the Clippers everything to overcome the Steph Curry performance, to overcome, to your point, the ferocity the Warriors were playing with to start this game, and to play the way the Clippers did down the stretch to find a way through it. To spike, Golden State making the runs, tremendous stuff, tremendous, tremendous stuff, showing growth again from not giving up their lead for when Golden State makes the run, remaining calm, the veterans
playing like veterans, the youngsters playing like young up and coming stars. I thought this was a complete win, a team win, and a win that you build on now moving forward the rest of the season. And they were down fourth about nine minutes left in that third quarter, and it said, I want to see what this Clippers team is made of right now, and they showed it to you. They're back to that resilient, natured crew that never gives in no matter what the score is, no matter what a player
is doing going supernova like Steph Curry's. Isn't the third They won that third quarter regardless by three points. That is something that we really haven't. They beat Golden State at their own game in some ways, no doubt about it. Look this was you look at this the breakdown and quarter to quarter to quarter twenty eight twenty three. The Clippers win the first, but then it was highest scoring the rest of the way, and that's what Golden State wants.
They're one of the highest scoring teams in the NBA. In fact, they're second in the league behind Sacramento at one eighteen point two a game, despite being fourteenth and offensive rating. But their pace is so great that they score a lot. So if you want to beat them, you gotta score a lot, and the Clippers did exactly that. Thirty three, thirty eight, thirty five the last three quarters. They put up one thirty four in this game. You put up one thirty four most games you're gonna win.
But even with Steph Curry going for fifty and Golden State being hot at different points in this game, this one just felt like it meant a little more. And the Clippers get in the w we'll see if they can build on it even more. The momentum is obvious right now for this team, and even though Golden State outshoots them at fifty five percent from the field forty seven percent from the outside, Clippers are respectable forty eight percent and forty seven percent
themselves from distance. But the difference was they only turn the basketball over eight times, and that eighth turnover was well a little bit of a token turnover late. Somebody had to have it. Yeah, the Golden State. Okay, yeah, look, that was one of the biggest factors of this game. When you're gonna overcome a big scoring performance like that, you've got to win the turnover battle by a fairly wide margin, and the Clippers did that
and then some. So that was good to see. And it's good to see them forcing turnovers the way they did tonight against a team that's got guys who have been in the biggest of moments on the biggest of stages. Usually things don't FaZe them, but it felt like today the Clippers got to them just enough. And there's not enough superlatives about this win. There's not enough superlatives about this team, the way they're playing right now. It's crazy how
much can change in the matter of two weeks. Two weeks ago you would have thought the season was over, and now new life with only half a game separating the Clippers and the four seed, with one more matchup with that same Phoenix Suns team at the end of the year. Good things happening now it's about continuing there. Clippers win one thirty four to one twenty six over

three at sixty one to fifty eight here. Even though they shot worse than the Golden State Warriors in that first half, the difference was offensive rebounds and not turning the basketball over. That continued into the second half and Eric Gordon's up up Big Gordon a right wing three, big yall. Eric Gordon makes it rain time out Golden State seventy seven seventies six forty to go on the third Loony cutting the room. Oh e raced at the rim. It's soup
block number one. Gordon, same spot, save resolved book it for Eric Gordon on the right wing for three, and the Clippers have their largest lead at ten. It's eighty to seventy. Blab it outside Gordon a right wing three is up, book it. Eric Gordon drills another, his third three of the quarter makes it ninety four eighty eight. La Gordon gets the spring

It's Leonard pump, big drive middle outside Gordon a left wing three kaboom, great book wood been by the Clippers and they lead ninety nine ninety one. They would lead ninety nine ninety three by the end of the third quarter, a quarter where Steph Curry had twenty one of his fifty points, and the Clippers still outscored the Golden State Warriors by three in the third well the score of thirty eight

Paul George, Butter and the Clippers lead by thirteen. They're largest of the night, one thirty two, one nineteen. That was the dagger thanks to some hot shooting, some hustle plays, Clippers getting sixteen offensive rebounds. They would withstand the fifty spot from Steph Curry and win one thirty four to one twenty six over the Golden State Warriors. sixteen and a block. This was someone who used to get played off the floor by Golden State's small ball. You see the maturation of Big Zoo there. Eric gordon I mentioned him. Sixteen points, fourteen of which came in that third quarter, and Terrence man unbelievable performance three offensive rebounds, was making
the hustle plays, giving them extra possessions. Clippers ended up getting up eight more shots than Golden State, and that was the difference because the Warriors actually outshot them fifty five percent from the field forty seven percent from the outside, Clippers forty eight percent from the field, also forty seven percent from the outside forty seven point one compared to forty seven point two for Golden State, if you want to be technical about it. Clippers four straight game of having fifty
points or more in the paint, they finished right at fifty. Warriors with forty eight. Clippers second chance points though twenty seven on eleven of sixteen. Shooting those extra possessions, those hustle plays, those offensive rebounds and taking care of the basketball. It got them the win. That is championship level type of stuff. And they do so against the defending champs and the Golden State Warriors tonight with just twelve games to play. That next game is coming up
on Saturday. Tip Off is at noon. Clippers right back here at Crypto dot com arena hosting the Orlando Magic. They got some unfinished business against them. They lost a game in Orlando to one of the worst losses of the season in ot It was a tough one. Clipper's gotta keep this going and

Coming up on the show, You're gonna hear from coach Lou and we got player audio postgame, plus Will Updyke from Clips and Dip will be here. Best win of the season. Can't emphasize that enough, not just because it gets into four straight, but the quality of competition that they were able to take down in this one because Golden State, yes, I know they were seven and twenty six on the road heading into the ball game. They did not
play like that team they're trying to flip the narrative. They gave the Clippers everything they had, including fifty from Steph Curry in a game where they shot fifty five percent as a team forty seven percent from the outside, and the Clippers win the difference. Clippers with half as many turnovers as Golden State Warriors had sixteen, Clippers just eight, and the Clippers had nine more offensive rebounds
sixteen of them. They end up shooting under what Golden State was at just forty eight percent from the field to Golden States fifty five percent, but they got to the free tri line because they were scoring points in the paint with fifty of them and a few more shots up let's call it, yeah, eight more shots up than the Golden State Warriors, and that made up the disparity in terms of shooting percentage, more possessions out there for the Clippers,
attacking the basket, rim pressure, hustle plays, Russell Westbrook two offensive rebounds in that fourth quarter, Terrence Man three offensive rebounds, huge place. When the Clippers were missing, they were getting extra shots up anyways and making the most of them. And how about Big Zoo with nineteen and sixteen. This was someone who the Golden State Warriors used to pick on when they went small Zoo couldn't stay on the floor with them. Now it's going the other way.
He's punishing them on both ends. Sixteen rebounds, got Draymond Green and foul trouble. They went to him to I to get Draymond and foul trouble and get him that six foul in the fourth quarter. But Zubots finished with nineteen and sixteen and a block, one of the best games really of his career on the regular season, because I'm telling you the maturation process and what you're seeing from him is a completely different player than he was in twenty nineteen.
In that playoff series against Golden State Warriors, they took him off the floor. He would just was rendered ineffective because they went small. They'd bring him out to the perimeter where Visa Zubots is much better now guarding guys. And don't get me wrong, Steph can hit shots over anyone at any time in the history of the NBA. There's never been a better shooter like this. The Clippers played great defense on him most of the time. He still
had fifty, He still hit eight threes. He had as many miss shots as he had made threes, just eight missshots when eight to fourteen though from the outside, twenty of twenty eight overall to get to fifty, and had a twenty one point third quarter, a third quarter that the Clippers won. Anyways, that is the growth from this team. That is them turning a corner. I said it did the Clippers save their season after they came back down fifteen in the fourth quarter. Nobody had to come back like that all
season long. Against the Memphis Grizzlies about a week and a half ago on that Sunday night, they gave up a fifty one spot in that third quarter. They were down fifteen, down by as many as sixteen in the fourth. After giving up fifty one points in the third, and they came back and won, and it looked like they flipped a switch. Finally they dug their heels in defensively, and I thought, believe it or not, they played pretty good defense. It just doesn't matter against that Curry sometimes and a
hot Street and Golden State Warriors team that hit seventeen threes. But the last three games now, they played with a sense of desperation out there. You can see it when they need big shots, their superstars are stepping up. Paul George two huge threes and the Dagger three and the fourth Kawhi Leonard. He had ten of his thirty in that third quarter. Eric Gordon, who's
been a bit of a revelation now in closing lineups. He's playing crunch time, clutch time minutes the last three games now and had fourteen of his sixteen points in that third quarter alone and hit four three pointers. He tried to counteract Steph Curry's twenty one, but also was doing some of the little things, making hustle plays. And when the Clippers do that, when they get down and dirty, and when you see are superstars on the floor diving from
loose balls. We saw it with Kawhi Leonard. I couldn't believe they called it a jump ball there. I think it was him in Jordan pool. Looked like Hawai was easily fouled. But seeing your stars like that play both ends of the court, dig in defensively and then also show up on the offensive end, you get behind him as a leadership guys rally around that.
But I thought there were so many big plays, including a Nicholas Battoum three pointer in the second half that was very much needed to stop a Golden State Warriors run, and they had a four point lead early in the third quarter, and Noah Eagles said it, coming back from time out, you could sense the momentum shifting, and Noah said, I want to see what this Clippers team is made of right now, because this game could go one of
two ways. It could swing right back into the favor of the Golden State Warriors like it did a week ago in Golden State where they just ambushed and blitzed the Clippers in that third quarter and the rest of the way, and the Clippers were waving the white flag at the seven minute mark of the fourth quarter and lost by I want to stay twenty four or this Clippers is going to show us something that they have matured that they aren't that team that they
are playing for Forty eight minutes hard on both ends doesn't mean you're always going to get the victory. Sometimes the team has a hot shooting night. Golden State did, though, and the Clippers still won. That speaks to the talent level of this team. Golden State didn't have Andrew Wiggins got it. Clippers didn't have a Norman Powell, and they have guys coming at you every
which way and so many little things in this one. Decided it would just get into extra rebounds out there, offensive rebounds and punishing a smaller team and taking advantage of the size that the Clippers had in their favor. Credit Big Zoo. I thought Russell Westbrook had some big moments. He had two offensive rebounds that he turned into points for himself in that fourth quarter and seven assists to zero turnovers. He found Nicholas but tune for that big three. But
Kawai steady ten of nineteen, three three pointers, thirty points. Paul George twenty four was aggressive, took more shots than Kawai at twenty one, just went eight of twenty one, but the timing of some of his shots in
his makes were big. Those two three pointers in the fourth quarter. I don't know if they can hold back the floodgates of the Splash Brothers and Steph Curry without him Terrence Man though, end of the third end of the fourth, when they were having those issues midway through the third quarter and it was going back and forth, it was really Terrence Man and Eric Gordon three pointers that I thought turned this game right back into the clippers favor, even while
was standing twenty one points in that quarter from Steph Curry. There's only so much you can do there. But if you make up for the hots shooting by getting extra shots up yourself through hustle plays and just continue to play through it, that's something to be admired. A team winning a game where it looks like Steph Curry is in god mode and can't miss and it's just inevitables
that he's going to beat you, and the Clippers just kept fighting. Okay, We're gonna play through all these made shots by step Eventually he might cool off, and hey, he only had nine points in the fourth quarter. Best victory of the season for the Clippers eight six six ninety eight seven, two, five, seventy eight, six six ninety eight seven two five seventies sewn in Inglewood. Sean's not back, Steve and Lahabra Habber Heights. Steve,
what's up here on Clipperstock, not Labber Heights. I'm not that fancy. I lived in Lowlands. That's fine. Lab works for us here on Clipperstock. What's up Steve? Home of the Highlanders sleeps Sonora. Anyways, you know, I've been watching basketball a really long time. I'm fifty six years old. I remember it enforcers like Maurice Lucas, Bill Lambier, Rick Mahorne, Farrows Oakley. Those guys played clean, you know, did they? But you know, I think many people of that arrow would beg to
differ. Those guys played clean, including Robert Parrish. I think you're compared to that's a little bit revisionist history. I'm old, I'm old, I've been ricking whiskey. But compared on that six foul on zubos, he tried to injure his zubos. So what Green did is what he was laying on the ground. He twisted his feet and ankles against zu bots knees like an MMA wrestler, literally trying to injure him. If you look it over again,
look at the tape, that's where he did. Green's laying on his back and he rolls over, tried to twist his legs almost like an NFL football player. Well and to almost injury. They overturned the call. That's that's what hurt the most. Is a bum And you know Adam Silver wants to clean the image up of the NBA. But then I get that which she really needs to do. But what uh Silver nes do is put his
silver hammer hit down and disciplined Green. Go over that tape him suspending Luck Steve because he is going to be suspended the next game because he picked up a sixteenth technical, so he's due for a suspension. That technical will throwing the ball at Russell Westbrook in the first half will get him one game miss coming up here. Well, that's it. How do you have sixteen technicals
in a season? It's not even towards the end of the season. I mean I would say after ten you get your eleventh, that's one game, you get your twelfth, that's two. It's so on and so forth. I mean sixteen technicals. The dude's a dirty player. I mean what he did in Lebron kick him in the team. Anything on the positive side without just focusing on Draymond Green and the hatred coming his way from you tonight. I'm really, really, I'm really happy of this Clippers team. I'm a
Clipper fan going back to Bill Walton, Marcus Johnson. Loved those teams. But when they were playing, you know, I was at Anaheim could Benchet Center when our arena when they Danny Manning and hit that group had to play Charles Smith, you know, over there against Harpodcast five. Lou was a
great coach for this team. I wish the claw would play a lot more during the regular season, but they're jelling at the right time, and I think they're gonna go deep into the playoffs if they stay healthy and play as a team. Russell Westbrook is a graded player for this team, as long as he plays under control and realizes to drive and pass or just shoot within all right, Steve, I appreciate the phone call. I think the whiskey
starting to slow down. I appreciate you, though, and we'll talk to you on Saturday eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy. Clippers win one thirty four to one twenty six. Even with a wild Turkey game from Steph Curry where he dropped fifty doesn't matter. Clippers overcome that with stand it somehow, some way, great team basketball, some critical shots and free throws made. They went twenty six
to thirty two from the free throw line. We've been talking about it for the last week now. They've been much better in getting points in the paint and usually when you do that, you're gonna get to the line a lot more. You can win games there. No Eagles brought it up. They did so a lot a couple of seasons ago when they made that Western Conference Finals. Run more Clippers stock. Next, you're listening to AM five seventy
LA Sports. Oh Paul George LA Clippers Basketball continue fis in his pains as he ferries the three on the home of your LA Clippers. Clippers win one thirty four to one twenty six over the Golden State Warriors. Here from Crypto dot Com areno welcome back into your post games show. I'm Adam Oslin. This is Clippers Talk. Eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy eight
six six ninety seven two five seventy. I want to highlight Terrence Man here, who was averaging just six point seven points per game in his last seven games. Tonight was his highest points total at sixteen, since the great game he had in Phoenix right before the All Star Break where he had twenty six. But the end of the third quarter offensive rebound leading to an Eric Gordon
three, huge play from Terrence Man. Then to start the fourth quarter, multiple offensive rebounds leading to him getting a two point shot up and and one. And then he was and he's one of the best guys cutting through the lane on the Clippers, probably the best, but Paul George found him for an assist for an easy layup. That stuff is just invaluable. It's so
critical energy plays. He was getting the crowd into it. And then Russell Westbrook had an offensive rebound, hit a bank shot, had another one, got a layup assist Nicholas but Tune for a three pointer. In the fourth quarter, Terrence drew another foul, got to the free throw line. Clippers
got there early and often can win games there too. But then Kawhik comes back in he knocks down a big three point or trying to match what Steph Curry was doing, and the Clippers end up pulling this one out with a couple of big threes from Paul George in the fourth quarter and Big Zoo at the free throw line. How many did he end up taking in the fourth quarter? He was three or four he ended up taking. Let's see, he went four or four from the free throw line in the fourth that's big.
Your big man can't get played off the court if he's hitting free throws like that and rotating like that and doing his damn this to try to stop Steph Curry from getting off shots in the perimeter, rainbow threes over the top, hierarchying drk Nabinski type three point shots from Steph Curry when he has to put him over big Zoo, Jeff, and you're Belinda, Jeff, you're on Clippers stop without hm Oslin. What's up, hey, Adam? Just heading home for the game. And that was awesome. I'll tell you.
I think it's the only way we stop Steph three tonight. It was to put it that on. But his fifty points, two rebounds, I think, and six assists, I'd much rather have the Westbrook man than Gordon eight thirteen and eleven. And then we have our two superstars in George and Kawhi doing their things. So awesome game. Well, the Clippers certainly had more balanced. They had six guys in double figures Kawhi, Big Zoo, Paul
George Russell Westbrook, Eric Gordon, and Terrence Man off the bench. Nicholas Batoum though in twenty minutes I mentioned that three hitting the fourth quarter went two or four from the outside. That was good to see. It's been really feast or famine up and down season shooting wise for Nicholas Batoum. Would love to see him catch a rhythm as they get closer to the playoffs. Here, let's go to Sean and Inglewood or now he's in Chicago Shytown. He's
watching Patrick Beverley. Sean, what's up, Mr? Free How are you stayed up late to watch the game? They call you and just want to say, man, when I like was the offense just kept pushing, kept flowing. They didn't get nervous like they usually get rattled when they play Golden State. They just kept up the intensity and they played with a purpose. I like it so, and then they worked the boards like they should work
the boards, and ty Lou didn't get small ball itis. He didn't try to out Golden State Golden State. He just kept the big guys in there and kept them on the boards. Even though sometimes they got exploited on the pick and roll, it didn't matter because they were killing them on the boards and getting Golden State into foul trouble. So I liked the game plan. I liked the purpose. Eric Gordon, thank you very much. And it was just a good game from beginning to end. And keep fighting because as
I told you, they're going over to take seed. They're just a half game out and pretty much, you know, I just like their chances of being a fourth seed, maybe possibly if Memphis goes on the loosing street to third Street. See so, anyway, how are you today? I'm good, Sean. I appreciate the phone call. I don't know if anybody's asked me that before on Clipperstock. We're all fine here. How are you? The old Han solo running out stuff to talk about? Eric Gordon? You
mentioned him also had a floater in the fourth quarter that was big. I know Sean and Engle would love seeing the Clippers play some bulleyball, playing big out there and a visa Zubots playing late in games where you had some combination of the guards between Eric Gordon and Terrence Man and Russell Westbrook out there at times in the fourth quarter you had Nichols, but toumb given minutes in the fourth big zoos. I mentioned Paul George and Kauai, of course, but
I really liked the rotations for the most part. Obviously, things also changed because Marcus Morris was ejected at the ends of the first half. He got into it with Draymond Green. He was ejected. I didn't think it was gonna be a flagrant too, but the Clippers started the second half and put in Eric Gordon. I believe, and he's worked everything with Eric Gordon so
far back with the Clippers has been so positive. I know he had a couple of bad games coming out of the All Star Break, but I want to say since the game up in Sacramento, he's been huge for this team and maybe one of the guys in death lineups because he can guard up. He's a better defender than Norman Powell, someone who they still have to find minutes for of course when he returns, and he'll be reevaluated with that shoulder
injury coming up in a couple of days. But Eric Gordon could find himself in a lot of big spots late in playoff games, I think because the way he can stretch the floor and the way you can also switch defensively. I thought there were a couple of times where he got switched on. The Steph did all he could. He got him to miss a shot in the fourth quarter, and by the way, Kawhi and Paul George didn't shy away
from the challenge. There was a I think it was second quarter where PG they tried to get the switch with him onto de Vincenzo so Steph could be matched up against Russell Westbrook and PG just fought right through the screen. And then there was a moment in the fourth quarter when they tried to get the switch. The problem was the man who was screening had Kawhi Leonard on him. So you gladly go, okay, you don't want to be matched up
against Paul George. Steff, Well, here's Kawhi Leonard being thrown at you. That's the type of stuff we've been looking forward to with the two on three connection and just how good those two wings are defensively there are otherworldly on that end, especially now they both look healthy out there, as healthy as
they have looked all season. Why, of course, coming off the ACLUH, he's making history, I believe with this response off a serious knee injury and coming back stronger once again, had the quadricep injury with the San Antonio Spurs, came back better than ever. The same thing is happening now with the ACL where he is at fifty fifty ninety splits since January seventh or eighth. Now, he's been that good. He's been arguably the best player in
the league. I know, Nicola Yokic, just he doesn't slow down and will likely win. All right, you know what you honest, Danna Komper will making a run here. Let's go to James and Saint George James. There's an MVP James. What's up here on Clipper side without himss? So give him credit to is Tylu because okay, can you hear me, James? Your phone sucks as usual. I don't know what the deal is. Slow when we got postgame audio from the players as well. But I just saw this quote Paul George post game said, and this was regarding surviving a fifty point game from Steph Curry quote, We're gonna be good. We got two on our side. That's the number of choir. Whereas you want to talk about poised, that's the most poised guy in that situation. Kawai is as steady as it gets. He could have a monster dunk and be expressionless.
It doesn't matter. It's rare to see him show emotion. And that's a great quality to have because you're always steady, you're even keel, never two up, never two down, and he leads by example in that way. All Right, we got Will Updike on from Clips and Dip does the podcast with myself and Charles Mockler. Well let's start with this and maybe this will be the only question I have. Was something born out of that fifty one to the third quarter that was put on the Clippers where they had to
come back against Memphis about a week and a half ago. Oh God, I hope so I can only hope though it felt like that was definitely burning in their veins tonight at a home What a win, just firing on all cylinders. So just so much good to come out of this game, from just the performance from Kwai and Paul George to all the contributing players. And how about that closing lineup. We got Terrence Man, we got Paul George, we got Kawhi, we got the two. Even Big Zoo was in
there after a monster game. I got a question for you, does that happen if not for the Marcus Morris subjection? I can't answer that. We'll see if there was anyone asked that post game afterwards, I don't know, but it was a winning formula. Obviously. Eric Gordon was in there a lot of the fourth quarter two. I thought he was critical for this team.
You know, we talked about it on the podcast recently. Who are those guys outside of Kauai and PG that we know are going to be there in crunchtime situations And it's starting to look like Eric Gordon could be one for
coach Lou Yeah. I mean when he has it going like that. He was absolutely pivotal in that second half where we kind of let the rein slip a little bit after a little bit of a shaky clothes to that to the first half, just absolutely incredible, just these beep three, his physicality and
switchability defensively, it's really really good. I mean I think that you know, I said coming in the season, this is gonna be Tyler's hardest season to coach, right, Like, you have so many guys who are who are begging for minutes in this rotation, and now you know with the emergence of Eric Gordon, so certainly we saw some great stuff from Rust and Night and how solid Terence Man has been. You know, I just wonder now
it feels like so long since Enormous even been in this lineup. It's just there's it's a good problem to have, but at the same time, it's you know, it is a little bit of a it is a little bit of a problem. It is a little bit of a log jam with this many guys begging for minutes. There was a play by Eric Gordon the fourth he didn't score on it. I think he was up against Stevencenzo though, like the matchup, and was just trying to back him down like he was
Anthony Mason. He missed the shot, but it was tipped in by a Beza Zubots who had a stellar performance. And I brought this up earlier, Will, but this was someone who used to get played off the court when teams went small, specifically the Golden State Warriors. And now he's a weapon on both ends. He's punishing them. Oh absolutely, And this was I mean, yes, while he was played off the floor in a playoff scenario.
He's grown so much since then. But I said this game, this was a good opportunity, especially the Warriors with no Wiggins, for the Clippers to kind of leverage that size that they had, and I feel like big Zoo with sixteen boards, he was able to do just that. I was a little bit surprised that we didn't go to him a little bit offensive early, especially when the shots were looking off for both Kawai and Paul George.
Warriors got off to that quick start. But you know, ultimately, yeah, he made a massive impact, and yeah, he's just he can. He's his progress is steady, but it does seem to be continuous thus far in his tenure worth the Clippers. Someone else who made a ton of hustle plays from the end of the third throughout the fourth quarter was Terrence Man, who looked like he was shot out of a cannon. He got Eric Gordon
a three pointer at the end of the third through an offensive rebound. He got himself in and one an old fashioned three point play to start off the fourth quarter. This was the best game he's played since the game right before the All Star break against Phoenix. No. Oh, absolutely, I mean, you know, huge matchup for the Clippers, huge matchup for the standings, and like, once again, he's another guy like with the size,
with the physicality in some of these matchups. I you know, I thought coming into this game this was going to be a match up where Terrence could really shine. I wasn't sure how much it would show up in the box score seventeen four and three highest scorer off the bench. I just don't know, like if if that's the performance you're getting out of Terrence Man, that's a guy who has to be in your nine or eight man lineup, which I do see him being. But getting like getting to see him close out
the game tonight, it was absolutely great. It's you know, definitely a step in the right direction for the squad. Played twenty five minutes in this one. I still felt like the two on three connection Paul George and Kawhi Leonard were very much present and asking for the basketball and asking for the tough defensive assignments on Steph Curry, especially late in this one. Steph only had nine points of his fifty in the fourth quarter. I just want to throw
that out there. But I love the way the two one three connection has been closing ever since that Memphis game where they took over late and Kawai hat fifteen points in the last six minutes and Paul George had that big footback rebound. It just looks like, Okay, it's our time to take over. This is what we're here to do. And they've they've lived up to their
end of the bargain. I feel like the last four games, oh definitely, yeah, And they've both been kind of uh, you know, Paul George is ascending to the peak that Kawai has been on for this last stretch of games, and Kawhi right now, it's just it's starting to look so
effortless. And that's not to say that he isn't trying, like it's just he he's gotten back to his fuel for the game, where you know he's getting to his spots offensively, he's more than capable of taking on the toughest assignments defensively, and it just seems like everything is moving like a step slower around him than where he's at right now, which you know, God if he could stay for this, for this last stretch of games and ends the
play off. Look, I know we've talked a lot about seating. I know we've talked a lot about how close things are on the West and even in the first round, you could have a you could you know, you could have an insane matchup. But with this guy on the floor, I don't know, it's it crazy. I think anything is kind of possible. They have a certain level of belief with Kawhi Leonard out there, and as
does he. He said it the other day post game, like if I'm out there, I feel like we can win, and he doesn't often. I think that's more of his personality maybe behind the scenes. We heard that story before in the locker room in the Eastern Conference Finals back in twenty nineteen when they were down two oh with the Toronto Raptors, the Milwaukee Bucks and Kawais said, here's what's gonna change. I'm gonna guard Yannis, and he did, and he wrecked his offense the rest of the series, and they
won four straight. But Kawai certainly has a quiet confidence about him, and these guys all rally around it. All right. Well, I appreciate it doing this tonight. I know we have a tripod coming up on Friday with myself and Charles Mockler as well. But thanks for doing some clips and double dip tonight here on Clippers Talk. Absolutely, anytime after a win like this, I'll take that every time. Don't even don't even give Chuck the call.
We'll only call Will when the Clippers win. We'll call it Chuck. For losses, we could give me things up that way. Let's seem a little bit unfair, all right. Coming up next here on Clippers Talk, we'll get back to your phone calls eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy eight six six ninety seven two five seventy Jose Tanner, Damian, Mike hold on, we'll get to you. Sorry, James and Saint George. Your phone just doesn't work, man, I don't get it. More Clippers
Talk next here on AM five seventy alight sports. Oh Paul George La Clippers basketball continue fis in his pains as he carries the three on the home of your LA Clippers. Clippers win one thirty four to one twenty six over Steph Kurr and his fifty points in the Golden State Warriors. Well, come back into Clippers talk. We are short on time, so please give a brief brevity the soul of Wit Damien in La Damien. You're on Clippers side without I am awesome triple Hey man, thanks taking my call. Bro, I
know you don't have a lot of time. Man four little quadtrow. We're on a row, baby, A life with the team is headed. The last time we talked, I had a simple point for the team. Was was to tighten up on the fundamental. Happy to see that they did that. It was the difference I thought in the win. You're looking at everybody having a plus in the plus minus except for Marcus Morris, and we're not going to count a Mirra coffee because the scarbage time and everybody else had a
plus. You're looking at Russell Westbrook coming up huge, helping us get in that zone of going after the ball, coming through the ball, winning the fifty fifty balls, the offensive rebounds, the things like that. We're really infectious. You can see you know where he's coming from with the team. You can see the two one three to actually dialed in. It was maybe and I like the phone call. I appreciate it, but I mentioned we gotta keep it brief. Let's go to Mike in La Mike, you're on
clipper Stock. Best win of the season, Adam, best win of the season. This was an incredibly important game, you know, neck and neck in the standings, and the clip shift came to play. I loved it, and I think that for all the people who say, well, maybe they should try to get to six or whatever not. We just got to win games. You know. If we can get to the fourth seas and take on Phoenix in the first round, bring it all right. I like
the confidence there. Uh. Who else? We got Tanner in Santa Monica. Tanner, you're Adam, long time listener, first time caller. I got two quick points. First, this is the Russell Westbrook that we've been waiting for. He wasn't pressing, he was playing composed, and he didn't take the bait when they were staying off my kind of four assists night, when they were letting him have space, which I think other teams are going
to regret moving forward. Second point, you've been touching on this. When we had our five game skid and all the focus was on Westbrook, we weren't counting on the fact that Zoo was out all but one of those games. And when I think of the most important player on this team outside of Paul George and Kawaiet, it's Zoo. When he's on the court, he's a difference maker and he's gonna need to continue to be on the court for us to go to get a trip. Thank you, Tanner, appreciate the
phone call. Agree there, Jose and Southgate quickly close things out. You know what to do. What's looking forward to the tripod on Friday, Adam at bedtime, let's get out of there's Clippers. There we go and and it's strong like the Clippers, Zay and Southgate. Clippers win one thirty four to one twenty six over the Golden State Warriors here from downtown Los Angeles. back of the Phoenix Suns. Who are in the fourth spot. Before we get out of here, I do want to thank the Clippers organization, Noah Eagle, Brian Seaman, Ralph Waller.
