Here's their biggest mistake, though, the biggest mistake the Wizards make, and this is what teams have to do every single
time. When they came out of that little break from the five second call, they didn't go to the officials. Nobody on the Wizards, Nope. Bradley Beal, who tried to give the foul, didn't go to the official and said, hey, just so you know, I'm gonna give the foul. And initially, when Winslow got the ball on the back court, Beale looked like he was retreating back to back pedal defensively, and as a result, the official wasn't looking when he did try to bear hug Winslow. Winslow got rid of it quick enough to Canard. They try to foul Canard, who gets into his shooting act and put one of the most absurd three balls down I've ever seen over a double team. It was like you know what it was like, Adam,
It was like in Space Jam when who was a Wayne Knight? Right? Isn't that who plays Newman. Yes, he's in the movie and he the only points he has in that game against the Monstars is when he gets crushed in the ball just somehow like pops into the rim from half court. That's what that Canard three ball looked like, and it ended up being a
four ball. That's why this is so crazy. It's obviously insane that they came back from thirty five down, but the fact that they came back from six down with less than twenty seconds and that was how they had to do it, with seven straight points from Canard on two absolute prayers, is truly mind boggling. It's Reggie Miller esque, it's Tracy McGrady esque. It is
bonkers. It's saying that the Clippers were able to just come back down twenty four, down twenty five, and now down thirty five in the span of two weeks. This is what they do. You mentioned Luke Kenard with those big shots late, But what tylu did in that second half, staying with the guys that got him there. Even when they got back into it down two, down three in the fourth quarter and they took him home, they
rewarded him absolutely. I was really impressed with Toronto lou because if you remember in that Atlanta game last year, the game we talked about all the time where they were down twenty two with four minutes left in the third quarter, and he went to the bench in it, which is ironically the bench shoot at last year was Luke Kennard and Terrence Man. Yes, Sir, at the time, it was like, WHOA, Luke Kenard and Terrence Man are
getting big minutes. That's huge, and they were the ones that dragged them back. But if you remember, Kawai and Peg came back in to put it to bed this time to your point at him, but toombs Zubats Jackson Ibaka zero minutes in the second half, Eric Bledsoe zero minutes in the fourth quarter. Jay scrub played the entire fourth quarter. Essentially he was in and
out offense defense towards the end. But seventeen minutes in this game for Jay scrubb three or four from the floor, that's a big time performance for a guy who seldom gets action on the Big Boy Club. Noah, did a mere coffee play the entire second half? Again, Oh, he may have. I'll have to double check the minutes. Look, I gotta be honest with you, Adam a mere Coffee is in the conversation for Toronto Loo's favorite players. He's he's been raving about him since training camp to me and Brian
Seman. Like day one of training camp, he came up to us. He was telling us about everybody and Terrence and this new rookie Brandon Boston. He said, but I love him here. He's just he just knows how to play and he's gonna play. I said, really, he's gonna like he's gonna get real minutes. He goes, eventually he'll get real minutes and he's gonna be great, And he was right. I mean, the guy has been more than great. He's been a revelation. Twenty nine points to
night, a new career high, thirty seven minutes played. And it was his defense to me that stood out. I know, Beal had the big bucket that really felt like it was gonna seal it for Washington that and one. But what Coffee did defensively on Biel was nothing short of spectacular. Yeah, and the Clippers somehow do it again. There were a couple other guys. I thought Jay scrub gave them great minutes. He hit a three pointer, he hadn't and one play. Justice Winslow at times provided some energy.
Even in the first half when the Clippers got down big, he and Hartenstein were working in tandem. Justice Winslow finishes with four assists. I want to stay at least three of them were to Isaiah, but starting Isaiah the second half also just a brilliant move. When you need energy, he went to those guys that we knew all season long could provide it for him. Yeah,
and Isaiah Hardenstein. This was to me a benchmark performance for him because he hasn't been able to play the high number of minutes since he's returned from his ankle sprain. And he played twenty six and he played a whole lot in the second half. And he had sixteen points on six or twelve shooting, six assists, and five rebounds. He had an all around Isaiah Hartstein game. He had a big block late in that fourth quarter that helped to
preserve what was an attainable deficit. By the way Adam Clippers led for one point nine seconds of this game, they were trailing wire to wire until Canard's free throw with one point nine seconds left. That should tell you all you need to know about this team the heart. Think about this. They trailed for the full forty eight minutes in New York. So for forty eight minutes in New York and forty seven minutes and fifty nine seconds in DC, they
had been trailing. Do the math on that. It's essentially ninety six straight minutes that they had been behind in a basketball game. That is heart, That is belief in each other and yourself, and that is understanding that your coach has your best interest in mind going out there and executing at a very high level. And this is a team that win over eleven minute scoreless in
the first half and the first and second quarter.
