Got your fall. Now it's time to react to La Clippers basketball. This is a playoff edition of Clippers Talk, Reaction and Analysis hosted by Adam Osley. You know he's feeling good. Take the show with you anywhere you are and baby, get the podcast. I mean, iHeart radio while and now your host. He makes everything happen. Adam Ausley is its real life?
Yeah, this is real life a Clipper Nation. You're going to the Western Conference Finals for the first time and this franchise is fifty one year history. After the Clippers come back down twenty five in the third quarter, they win Game six here at Staples Center by a final score one thirty one to one nineteen. From Staples Center Live, I'm Adam Oslin. Welcome into Clippers Talk. Eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty eight seven seven five two zero
eleven fifty. Coming up on the show, we'll have postgame audio from head coach Chilu and Paul George and Reggie Jackson and the man of the hour, Terrence Man, who went for a team high thirty nine points and had twenty points in the third quarter to spearhead this unbelievable improbable comeback unless you'd been watching this team all season long. This is just how this Clippers team is built. This is what they do. When the Chips are down, they find
a way. They were down seventy five to fifty at the beginning of the third quarter and they come back and are down just three heading into the fourth. It was an unbelievable, fast and furious comeback. Reggie Jackson had fourteen points in the third quarter. Clipper Nation showed up big here at Staples Center tonight for the first time since March eighth of twenty twenty. This place was that full capacity, and it's the loudest I've ever heard it, and I've
been to a few games here before. Clipper Nation, give yourself an applause, a pat on the back, another applause. After giving an applause to Paul George, I'm standing ovation for him and Reggie Jackson at the end of this one. What a victory. Dare I say the biggest Enfranchise history? How can you say it's not? I guess of the Western Conference Finals first time ever, and they did so in dramatic fashion. And the only way the Clippers know how the comeback clips. You can't kill them. You can't
take this team out. You can't bury them with three pointers. Even though the Utah Jazz tried, they hit twenty one in this game, and the Clippers still found away in the second half. They ended up going fourteen of nineteen themselves from three from distance. Patrick Beverley in the fourth quarter three huge three pointers. He hadn't hit three three pointers this entire playoff run. Tearance Man was out of the rotation the first two games of this series. The
Clippers went fourth straight. It's not just history for them in this franchise, though, the first team ever now to come back down oh two in multiple rounds in a playoff run. It's never happened before. And I'm standing up a Staples Center. I got too much energy. Who's gonna sleep tonight? I almost kiss Noah Eagle earlier, or we might do it now? Okay, Just cool, cool guy, Bro Hug, We're good. Noah Eagle, your voice of the Clippers, killing it all season long as always.
Jake Warners here, our head engineer. We got Zacho quality back in Burbank. T taking your phone calls eight seven seven five two zero eleven. Fifty eight seven seven five two zero eleven, fifty is the phone number. The Clippers come back down twenty five. We just had seen them come back down thirty one two years ago at Oracle Arena before they closed it out. The Clippers really shut it down. That team was built for comebacks. They were
so resilient, and they lost some of that somehow. Last year teams were coming back on them. But this season, and I said it on Twitter when they came back down twenty two against the Atlanta Hawks, when Luke Kennard and Terrence Man stepped up in that game and then the starters closed it out, I said, this Clippers team is just different. They came back on Miami down eighteen without Kauai, without Paul George. They have been built for
this. They have been prepared for these moments of adversity, and they just continue to overcome these difficult hurdles over and over again. They find themselves when they're down double digits. That's just who they are. It's their identity. The resilient nature from this Clippers bunch unmatched and you saw it. This was peak twenty twenty twenty twenty one LA Clippers basketball tonight here at Staples Center to pull off a twenty five point comeback where they end up winning one thirty one
to one nineteen over the Utah Jazz in game six. They win four straight. Just think back to where you were and how you were feeling about this ball club down zero two in the first rounds of the Dallas Mavericks, and then think about how they were down nineteen early in Game three of that series, and yet they get to this point where they're headed to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in the history of this franchise. Taken on the
Phoenix Suns. Game one is Sunday, But just think about that. They had to win multiple games with their back against the wall. They basically had four different elements nation games. They had to win down two OHO, can't go down three zero, down three two. They had to win game seven. Then they were down two oh against this Utah Jazz team in the second round. Here they had to win game three. They've made it four in a row, and they did so against a great effort from the Utah Jazz.
We're talking about the number one seed. We're talking about the team with the best record in the NBA. Utah has been this good. They have put up forty three points, or forty three three pointers per game all season long, they put up forty four tonight, hit twenty one of them, and the Clippers were even better. After starting six of twenty in the first half, the Clippers go fourteen of nineteen in the second half here at Staples
Center in front of a packed house from distance. And how about Paul George, all the scrutiny, all the undeserved criticism that has come down on him over the last year, he has gone through the fire. That's how he put it back on who this was Back in December early January, there was a game in Phoenix, speaking of the Suns. Paul George would hit Nicholas Batoum in the corner for a three pointer and oh yeah, big daddy, Nicholas Batoum would hit four three pointers in this one. Yeh, multiple blocks,
let's count him three. He had a huge steal and throw down on Joe Ingalls. But in that game back in Phoenix, then Paul George, I think had something like thirty eight points, was doing everything, but was hearing the chirping from the opposition, maybe same playoff pe taunting him, going after him. And it's been like that all season long, and he has
persevered. He is pushed through it to get to this point where first they win Game five due to his thirty seven point sixteen board outing on the road in Utah, a plays they had one in four years. And then tonight he has twenty eight points, He has nine boards, seven assists, and he had ten of his twenty eight and the fourth quarter huge shots, a huge three pointer, a couple tough step backs. Paul George has given them everything they asked for when he came here. You know how many calls I
used to get. Are people talking about it? I'm not so sure they should have traded SGA in those picks. How are you feeling about it now? For having Paul George and the way he has played these last two games without Kawhi Leonard. Let's put this in perspective. They just won two games against the number one seed in the Western Conference, with the team with the
best record overall, and they did so without their best player. Without Kauai, who was no eagle point out was doing historic things for this team offensively. He was carrying them at times throughout the playoffs. The forty five he had in Game six in Dallas that entire series. He shot over sixty percent from the field. He put up Shack numbers as a shooting guard, averaging
thirty points on over sixty percent shooting for an entire playoff series. And nobody had done that since since Shack did back in the year two thousand in the NBA Finals. That's what Kauhi was doing. The Clippers get off to him two. We'll start. Everybody starts to doubt them. They flip the switch, and they start playing their best basketball. When they face adversity, they just find a way. But tonight to do it in front of this crowd,
in front of Clipper Nation, this was special. The Clippers are going to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history. They win one thirty one to one nineteen over the Utah Jazz. A week going NonStop tonight. Flip flip see zachocald he knows what's up. I say, flip the switch. She plays a song coming up next. We'll get to your phone calls eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty eight seven seven five two
zero eleven fifty. I'm standing up at Staples Center as these Clippers stood strong in the face of a twenty five point deficit. They come back to win, and they're going on to the Western Conference Finals for the first time. More Clippers stock next right here on the Patriot A I'm eleven fifty, which I'm at the Clippers, the LA Clippers and the Utah Jazz. You're listening
to playoff basketball on the LA Clippers official home. George right, Wayne cross Over telling right ally, George of the ram try to kick it out? Does extra meet Man nears night corner, take the time, take the three head hits, Terence man on corget once again. Thirty nine for free Man and the Clippers League one sixteen to one oh six. You know, I'd like to call Noah Eagle the future Goade, but you know, after we saw from Terence Manson night, I mean maybe the little hashtag future goad for
him too, is he has twenty points in the third quarter. He leads the Clippers with thirty nine to match Donovan Mitchell's thirty nine. The Clippers come back down twenty five in the third quarter, not the first quarter, not the second quarter. With about twenty three minutes left in the game, they were down twenty five here at Staples Center in Game six, they come back to win, and they're moving on to take on the Phoenix Suns in the
Western Conference Finals. Pinch yourself, Clipper Nation, you made it there. The job is not done. This team knows that. If you heard from head coach Toronto lou or Kawhi Leonard recently, they said they don't care about just making the Western Conference Finals. They're trying to win the whole thing. And with performances like this tonight, he starts to think the team is so
gretty, they're so gutty. Depending on the severity of the injury with Kawhi Leonard, I'm sorry we don't have an update for you at this time, but this team has those championship ingredients. They have some of that DNA. You can see it with the way they show that resolve whenever they're down, that fight, those counterpunches. The Clippers come back down twenty five, they win Game six. They are moving on for the first time so the Western
Conference Finals. Welcome back in the Clippers stock. I'm out of Maslin eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty. I hear the phone lines are packed. All right, let's go to Sean and Inglewood. Sean, pop it off for us, a friend, thank you for taking these first. I just want to play first of all, dame time first Sunday three thirty six, big time. Thank you, Sean. Let me blare it out now on this fifty thousand foot flamethrow or
whatever they say about the radio station. Tip time for game one between the Clippers and Phoenix Suns is twelve thirty Sunday. All right, Sean, Okay, Now I called before the series started and I say it clipses and sick. And when I went down, I doubled down on it, and here we are, clips is in six. We did it, man. The next thing I wanted you to say to you because I was watching the game.
I started to come to the game tonight, but I watched the game at home tonight, and I flip channels at the commercial and guess what movie was on HBO? Give you one game? He got games? Oh? I thought you were going to say Field of Dreams for Terrence Mann. No, the Gladiators. So I need you to say it with me at the count of three, Adam, are you ready? Let's go one? Two? Three? Are you not hensertained? Look? There's some lag between us. We're going to work this out during the break. I'm sure, me
and Sean and Englewood. Sean, that's what I brought you on first. For a reason. You did call it. You said Clippers and six. I think Jake Warner did as well here at Staples Center said I'm not moving my equipment. I know this team's coming back. Was not concerned. Sean. Thank you for the phone call. Let's try to get everyone in tonight. Bill and Irvine a villain Irvine, Thank you, Zach Villain Irvine, you're on Clipper Stalk after they win Game six to advance the Western Conference Finals
for the first time ever. Bill, how are you pretty good? Thanks for the tagular call. It's notable that three teams in their infancy back in the seventy seventy one season, which would change the league to four divisions for the first time. And there was Portland who won. You know was that gret had somebody remarked we talked about the other night. Then there was the Calves. We finally got it done. And now you're Buffalo brave as La Clippers are next. Okay, you are the historian here, you are a
man with a lot of information. Yeah, and I think it's really important that you know, they get it done. You know they're Undermann right now, but who knows what the next series will bring with the health reports. They can just relax now and go to game one and give it what they've got. Everything's every two days from now. And it looks like except for perhaps after game one. But I think it's a very nice notable Uh you know, oddity that that's how that happened with this franchise. But it was
worth the weight. Bill, thank you for the phone call. Was worth the weight. No what Eagles said it good things come to those who wait. Nothing good comes easy. Kawhi Leonards said that recently, we're hoping for the best with that right knee injury. Let's go to Jeremy in La. Jeremy, give me that energy. Come on, I'm at Staples Center. I'm standing up and walking around like a luasic. What's up. I think I'm doing the exact same thing at him, because this has been one of
the most amazing nights of my life. To two things before I get off the phone, I don't want to hold up the line. Number one, it's been thirty years for me as a Clipper fan, Section nine row A, seats one, two and three. It's where me and my parents sat for some of the worst Clipper basketball you could ever imagine. That sports Relina and tonight just feels like the weight of the world is off my shoulders. I just want to say, Clipper dog pound, we love you, Keep
calling in, keep fighting. We got on to the Western Conference finals, y'all. Now number two second point the regular season means something, and I want to point out something. The third game we played against Utah, I remember that fourth quarter very well. We did the exact same thing we did in that fourth quarter that third game against these guys. Tonight brought out Rudy Gobert. Guys trying to get a matchup can't get the matchup swing it.
Keep going to the basket, touch the paint, kick it out, and there's nothing they can do about it. And this is a game plan that we're gonna have to use against the Suns, because I remember the third game we played, or the second game we played against them at Staples. Paul George goes off because we keep bringing out Aiden. Aiden starts to guard George, and then the bass starts moving around and there's nothing they could do about it. We can win this series. This is not done. These guys
are hurt all over the NBA. Just hold tight, let's go. Adam My Levey, You's been great. No Eagle has been great. Clipper Nation. Where where Jeremy in Los Angeles? Jeremy, you just reminded me of something. I think the man who deserves the most credit for this it starts with Steve Balmer and the direction he has taken this franchise since twenty fourteen.
I've said this before, but people comparing the two teams in LA, while the Clippers were at a disadvantage all these years because of ownership, what did they always say? Ownership is the best advantage in sports, and now the Clippers have it. But it's only been seven years and look at all the changes, and Steve Balmber had to make a tough decision. And we wish Doc Rivers well. I hope they end up meeting the Clippers in the NBA
Finals the Philadelphia seventy six ers. But the tough decision was that mutual parting of ways with Doc Rivers, and I think to some degree he is a part of this upset. The foundation as well. I don't know if Kauai and Paul George come here without Doc Rivers. But what head Coach Toronto lu has done this season is really unlocked the full potential of this lineup because the
versatility on this team is really unmatched. And you're talking about the mismatches and going small and pulling Rudy Gobert out and they'll try the same thing with DeAndre Aden. That is the mastermind of coach lou. That's what he does. He finds the flaws and weaknesses in the opposition and he exploits them over and over again and tries to make the weakest link beat them. And he's done it to perfection down two Oho. Remember when he said he wasn't concerned and
a lot of people were like, what this is an outreach? A lot of people to start apologizing tonight to head coach tlu Let the apology be as loud as the disrespect was, because this man never panicked, not once. And as the series both of them have gone on, he's tightened the screws on teams, he's tightened his rotations. He keeps finding more and more of what works. And you mentioned the fourth quarter tonight he found that. Yes,
you're right. In that third game against the Utah Jazz. It was the only one the Clippers won against them in the regular season, and they went small late. They did it against tonight. But head coach Tlu deserves a ton of credit for this turnaround in his first year with the Clippers. You think it's a fluke, You think it's by happenstance that they get to the Western Conference finals. Finally, No, no, no, no, no. Coach Lou has been brilliant. Let's go to Caleb in Ohio.
Kayleb, what's up? And I've been a Clipper saying for twenty six years. I tried after the game was over, I listened to it on the radio. But it's a dream come true. And I wouldn't give you my prediction that happened five years ago with Tylu. He's gonna take and he's gonna bite the Curs like he did with the Cavaliers, and they're gonna win a championship this year. Caleb, thank you for the phone call. So far, you're pretty prophetic. Prognostication so far is on track. That's the thing.
He was down three games to one. He stays calm. This team stays poised. They take on the identity of their head coach. Paul George just said this after Game five. He's so calm, cool and collected and even Keel and the rest of the team doesn't panic either. Out here down twenty five tonight in game six, doesn't matter. They find a way. They refuse to lose. I don't care if they're sports cliches that Ben Maller would mock. I don't think he would because he's a Clippers fan as well.
They ring true with this team. This is what they do. Jose and south Gates set it off. Oh this is not setting it off. Adam, twenty five year Clipper. I've never puss set It's like shapos and just like it pierced my heart to hear over Rain being yelled by eighteen thousand and seven. You talk if Pierce not hard Cliffer Nation staying up today because you we're gonna do the baby Poetic Justice ninety nine. Wait, first of
all, wait, let me call myself down. First of all, thank you Zach, thank you Jake, thank you Adam, thank you, no Ego, and thank you. Ralph Lawler ninety nine Maggy nine first two, one hundred wins. Who scores that basket? Paul George could do baby Adam said, say four, I was like Dame who got only one and the same man, I'm gonna I'm gonna cut myself off before you cut me off. Let me see wise words. I'll say thank you for the phone call.
Great as always, and they were down twenty five. Don't show them that point that they came back down from down from the depths here at Staples Center. They just clawed their way back in without the claw, without Kawhi
Leonard. I don't know which game is more remarkable in these last two game five on the road where they had one in four years, and the Utah Jazz hit seventeen three pointers in the first half and the Clippers were still right there, just down five to win that one, or to come back down twenty five here tonight at Staples Center. I'm leaning this way because of what it meant, because they're moving on now to the Western Conference Finals for the
first time, and because they done it. They did it in front of Clipper Nation and no kids, yourself. I don't know if they're coming back down twenty five on the road. The fans here tonight we're on tilt for big hyped or other millennial slaying that I'm not that familiar with. They were on fire for this team. You helped drive them back. Reggie Jackson was
calling for more. Patrick Beverley wanted to hear more. They just fed off the energy from Clipper Nation tonight and now they're moving on to take on the Phoenix Suns and the Western Conference Finals. Game one is in Phoenix, Tip times at twelve thirty on Sunday. More Clipper Stock coming up next. We'll get back to your phone calls. Eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty. Eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty is the phone number from Staples
centsor Live. I'm atam Oslin and this is Clipper Stock here on the Patriot AM eleven fifty. This is the second round of the NBA Playoffs. KWHI Lennard, I'm your official home of LA Clippers basketball. George Washers towards the ball, but Jackson keeps him driving right down the right alley. Jackson to the ramps, high off the window. Reggie Jackson over the top of Gobar, Defensive Player of the who Reggie Jackson has teamed him again twenty seven from
mister Tune and the Clippers lead five fifteen. The defensive player of the Years had a rough time the past couple of games. The Clippers went right at him. Reggie Jackson was hunting him in the fourth quarter, looking to put a body on. Rudy Gobert did it multiple times with amazing acrobatic layoffs here at Staples Center. And the Clippers come back down twenty five in Game six to make it four straight victories in this series, and they are moving on
for the first time in franchise history to the Western Conference Finals. Welcome back into Clippers talk. I'm atam Moslin to eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty or get to me at follow Adam a on Twitter. I told you these Clippers were different. They're just built different. I'm sorry it has to be said. They're winning games they would have lost last season. They're doing things that were done to them.
It was the Denver Nuggets who came back on them down nineteen sixteen, down twelve and three straight games after being up three games to one in that second round series. Last year. Now it's the Clippers coming back down twenty five, coming back down nineteen against the Dallas Mavericks, coming back down O two twice. Nobody's done that before, not one team, not even the Clutch City Houston Rockets from ninety five, who won five different must win ELM Nation
games. These Clippers just keep finding ways to win, and they're gonna have to do the same now against the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Finals, with Game one on Sunday. Tip time is at twelve thirty pm. This is Clipper stock. Let's get to Oh Sexy Rexy in La, Rex in La. What's up? You're on? Clippers stop without of Boslin. Oh. This was a great game, one of the I guess, one of the great games in the history of Clippers basketball. I mean I was listening
to it on the radio while I was driving. At first, I was I wasn't sure when they were down twenty five, I wasn't sure. But they just found a way to come back. Rex. It's what's It's what they have done all season long. This is what this Clippers team does. It's unbelievable. No one and I were sitting here at halftime They're down twenty two, and I'm like, okay, law of averages starts to go in their favor, even though it really didn't. Utah went nine of twenty five
from three. In the second half, they did cool off, but the Clippers caught fire from distance. They went fourteen of nineteen and every shot was greeted with cheers from Clipper Nation. Here at Staples Center. You could just feel the momentum turn and the crowd was involved and it was it was like the Clippers and thank you for the call. Rex. It was like the
Clippers were back with an old friend. With Clipper Nation at full capacity here tonight at Staples Center, that love affair between Clipper Nation and this team. I don't it's never been stronger. This is what Clippers fans have been waiting for for fifty one years, to get to the Western Conference Finals. The job is not done. They want a championship. That's the ultimate goal. This Clippers team knows it. But to get there, you gotta get to
the Western Conference Finals. Up next the Phoenix Suns. Let's go to Tagius and Walnut. Tagus, you're on Clippers staff without him, Astin Hey, Adam to a might have loss of words, but I'm probably gonna watch the second half of this game again before I go to bed. That's how happy I am right now, just to make sure it happened right. It wasn't a dream. Yeah, I'm still pinching myself. I wanted to say two
things. One, when you talked about the foundation and Doc Rivers, there's one person left from that foundation that's Pat dev And how fitting was it that he hit those clutch threes at the end, because that guy gives his heart out one hundred and fifty percent, and whether he plays or not, he's the heart of this team. And I was just so happy for him. He's helped develop this to your point there, to agus this never quit, never to say die, never give up type of culture. It's started when
he got here, along with Lou Williams and Montrese Harold. They both obviously have been huge for turning this organization and taking that next step in that transition after Lobs City without those three guys, And you're right, Patrick Beverley, the only one still hear him hitting those three three pointers in the fourth quarter, all right, nobody has deserved it more than he. I agree,
Adam and second. It's a little earlier, but when I was after right before Game five, we found out the kwai and news, and then they won Game five in Utah, and then being down twenty five today and pulling it off. I have just thought about that Vince Gully quote after Krew Gibson hit that home run. In a year that has been so improbable, impossible has happened. Thank you for the phone calls. Agus. You know we
are your home of the Dodgers as well. If the Dodgers are on AM five seventy LA Sports, that means we're right here on the Patriot AM eleven fifty. Let's go to Morrison Long Beach. Morris every night, we got a different winner rule and every night, and different players got to go in Clippers rule, Pompano Clipper rule, Bomano Clipper rule, Morrison Long Beach.
I don't know what that parody was, but I like Todays. I just want to point out that the Clippers survived a game where Donovan Mitchell went nine of fifteen from three, likely a career high, although he did have a fifty point game in the playoffs last year, but nine of fifteen he hit. This is how the Clippers got down twenty five to night in Game six, he hit a shot from the logo from the La City, the Los Angeles script San Andreas font logo at the center of the court, about a
thirty five foot three pointer or to start the second and half. Then the Clippers got down twenty five. Then they got started playing that inspired basketball that they always do, and they dug themselves out of a hole by out scoring the Utah Jazz eighty one to forty seven in the second half. All right, who else we got here? Eddie and Hawthorne? Eddie, you're on Clippers stop without am awsin. You know, I've been waiting since college for
this to happen, for the past twenty years. Wait no longer, Eddie, Eddie, I'm waiting for you to say something else, anything else, Eddie? Or does that say at all twenty years you've been waiting. Some have waited much longer. It's been fifty one years in the making for this Clippers team to reach the Western Conference Finals. But I got news for you. This isn't the end. This team isn't done now. They're not gonna stop. They are on a mission. They won these last two games without
Kawhi Leonard, and they were built for this. The stay ready Clippers. That's that's who they've been all season long. Next man Up Reggie Jackson was out of the rotation in the first ten games the season. He becomes a starter from Game three on in the playoffs. Has been their third best score behind Kawhi and Paul George. It's different guys, as Morris long Beach was singing earlier, different guys stepping up all the time for this team. Next
man up two ends on that man. But it's just remarkable the resiliency of this team. I've never seen anything like it. They are as mentally tough as anyone out there. Jeff and Tarzana, you're on Clippers stock. I am amazed at how good the Clippers are. When you think of only scoring fifteen points in the first half and what eighty one in the second half and
beating them by thirty four points in twenty four minutes. That must be an all time record for points scored in the second half on a playoff clincher. Am I correct. We'll have to check on that with the ESPN News and stats. We'll get to it. Jeff Okay and the other thing, Adam as I realized that the Clippers are the only team in NBA history to win two series when they're two games behind. But what is their overall record?
Because you had this earlier when they were playing of the Mavericks, of when they fall behind in the first quarter and come back to win. What's happening is I am so happy that they have to Ron Lewis or coach. He reminds me a lot of Pete Carroll to make adjustments, how he does his team and as good a coach as Doc Rivers was. Do you know that Doc Rivers holds a record for most blown three to one leads. Let's focus
on the positive though. Okay, I'm so happy to have irone Lou And the only reason why you're calling the Jazz the best team in the Western Conference or basketball is because they didn't have a lot of injuries like the Clippers had. If the Clippers would have had Kawai and Paul George all the year, the Clippers would have had the best record in basketball. And I'm happy and I think they could beat Phoenix within six games, depending on how many games
Kawai would play or if he plays at all, or Chris Paul. But I mean I am elated by this team. I am so happy Clipper Nation has reached euphor you Clippers Nirvana. But there's still work to be done and more Clipper stock coming up next. Also, I know we have postgame audio.
I just know it. Clippers come back down twenty five here at Staples Center in Game six in the most dramatic Clippers way possible to advance to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in the history of this team's franchise. Who I'm still standing up. I had to go to the bathroom a while ago. I just forgot you know, I get excited, Clipper Nation,
I know you're right there with me. More Clippers stock coming up eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty. We'll hear from Coach lou next after the Clippers make some personal history reaching the Western Conference Finals for the first time, but they want to take it further. This is Clipper Stock here on the pastry Am eleven fifty. The quest for the Larry O'Brien is off for them to get to the Promised Land for
the first time in franchise history. You're listening to La Clippers Playoff Basketball on their exclusive hold Doctor I was right away directed cropping nights, your provid inside George short quarter and you're shot against pitcher double cup from Robert George. Will you go to the double's defense right? Based on the fact eighteen butter, Paul George bills it twenty five for PG thirteen and the Clippers league one thirteen or one oh six midway through the fourth quarter. The real playoff p has
stepped up. Paul George has come through and has taken the team that he rooted for growing up to the Western Conference Finals and did so in the last two games without Kawhi Leonard. The Clippers come back down twenty five here in Game six at Staples Center, and they're victorious over the Utah Jazz with the final score of one thirty one to one nineteen. The Clippers will be in Phoenix for Game one of the Western Conference Finals Sunday. Tip time is at
twelve thirty. Welcome back into Clippers Talk. I'm out of Maslin eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty were next. We're with you for the next half hour here on the Patriot am eleven fifty. But because Jeff and Tarzana asked, and I'm feeling generous as the Clippers were given Utah buckets in that second half, where they went fourteen
of nineteen from three. The Clippers trailed seventy five to fifty a minute in after Donovan Mitchell hit a ridiculous Logo Lillard like three pointer to start the third quarter. But listen to this, the Clippers trailed by twenty five. Tonight was the largest comeback in a series clenching in over the last twenty five seasons. Nobody had even come back from twenty plus down to win a series in
that span. Entering tonight, the Utah Jazz were two thirty two and one over the last twenty five seasons, win leading by twenty five points or more. That one would be the Clippers. Who plays one who just continue to fight. Someone called him the cockroach. Clippers. You can't kill him, you can't. Oh what a victory tonight, Clipper Nation. Let's get back to your phone calls Danny and Pico Rivera, Danny, Danny is gone, Greg and Vinzara, Gregar Clipper Stock, Hey, Adam, you and Noah
do a great job every night. I really appreciate that. We appreciate you, Adam. The curse of Donald Sterling is broken. It is defeated and we are going on to the finals. And what a great game. I can't remember listening to a game, Adam where a team was down twenty five and came back and won the game. That that is a tremendous victory.
And Adam, I don't know if you remember, but about three or four weeks ago, and I'm not trying to, you know, pat myself on the back, but I said to you that I think the Clippers had the deepest team of all the league. And look what happened tonight. I mean, what a tremendous performance for for Terrence Mann and the fact that these guys can come back that Kawhi Leonard and and blow out the opponent. It's a tremendous tribute to this team and how they play and how they pull together.
And I'm I'm just pleased as hell. So that's all I have to say, Adam, say Greg, thank you for the phone call, Thanks for the love. It was a thirty seven point turnaround in the last twenty three minutes. Of the game. And oh yeah, Terrence Man, who had twenty of his thirty nine points on fifteen of twenty one shooting where he hit seven three pointers. Those are all career highs for him. But it's a
Clippers playoff record. Those twenty points in the third quarter. No Clipper has ever scored that many points in a quarter in the playoffs before Kawhi at eighteen in Game two against the Dallas Mavericks in the first quarter. Those were the most points he had scored individually in a quarter in the playoffs before Terrence Man, what a man want A man want a man unbelievable but as always as
a team effort here and the Clippers just fine ways to get victory. Let's go to we got oh man well and Guardina Man, Well, what's up, hey, Adam? To Ben Mallard, to my boy Phelippe, to all the Clipper fans. I want to just congratulate you guys. Man the hell of a win tonight. And I guess Terence proved that it's a man's game, yatch. I'm sure Bob Schment will use that for a promo anything else? Man Well? Or was that the mic drop there? Pam and
Temple City. Bam. You called in last game or the game before a couple last week before. You were kind enough to give me the title of that wonderful we could be great. And if you could give me also the artist because I haven't been able to find it and I appreciate it. But what I wanted to say is a shout out to Caleb. In a while my family was simp Cocaoga Falls and Acri. A shout out also to Zach. He's so kind and embracing you. I think he remembered that I was
asking you about Terrence. So why Terrence were so scarce? Well, here he was, and why did he make the difference? You know, I wonder if if Gobert would have been Defensive Player of the Year, if he had to face the Clippers all the time, could we sure got through him? And you know, Tie you, I just can't say enough about him, his presence, his calmness, and his strategizing. And I think those Clippers aren't afraid because they're not afraid that if they take bad shots they're going
to get barrashed or yell that he just knows exactly what to do. And I just can't wait I think there's comeback was amazing. Like you said, I can't wait for Sunday. I love you guys, I love the Clippers. It's been a long time. And congratulations now well you congradulate and everybody else, congratulations for you too, and thanks for a lot. God bless you guys. Bam and Simple City, congratulations to you. Congratulations to Clipper
Nation. You're entering uncharted territory. Welcome to the Western Conference Finals. Amara in La. You're up next year on Clippers. Stop without am masson him. Hi. We're just driving back to the State from Center and the energy in that stadium was absolutely crazy. I mean we were high fighting, screaming on our feet the entire time, and voided Clipper Nations show up. I just wanted to say that here we go, Arizona, baby, Let's go
Clippers. Thank you for the phone call. You know, there was a play that will be ignored because the basket ultimately wasn't made, but the fact that Paul George tried to throw it down on Rudy Gobert and almost had it just hit the back iron a little bit too hard. I don't think it was deflected. To start off the four quarter to ignite this team. It
was incredible. I still think it inspired guys. As our leader, He's going right after Rudy Gobert, and then Reggie Jackson started to take acrobatic layup after acrobatic layup on Gobert. Just unbelievable. All right, I do want to hear from the head coach Tlu, who deserves a ton of credit as our caller Pam gave him. But I just admire the fact that his willingness to adjust and to play and let guys run when they're hot, when it looks like they can't miss a shot, to let a second year player like
Terrence Man start in place of Kawhi Leonard, it was unbelievable. Here was Coach Lou postgame, the orchestrator of the two oh comeback and back to back series or O two comebacks and back to back series. Here was your head coach I for Los Angeles Clippers, who just will help lead them to the Western Conference Finals. Speaking with the media and TI, it's kind of a two part question here, but like you know, you've been to so many of these these spots here before, but have you ever heard I mean,
maybe with the exception of Game seven when you win the finals. Have you ever heard a crowd that got into a second half like this now? Listening all all all year. You know Ramono from the first two series. You know, Downs had all their fans, Utah had all their fans. But our crowd was unbelievable to now, even when we got down, they stuck with us. They gave us energy. We fed up in positivity, and
who could have done with all our fans. I'm telling you, if we have our whole building here today walking the way he did, it have been a tough game for us to win. Does it Does it feel pretty kind of appropriate that a kid like Terence fan Is has thirty nine points of the game, Like maybe he doesn't feel the weight evolve everything that that just happened here tonight. You know, Ramono has been happening all year. You know,
well, guys go down, Guys step up. You know it could be anybody's night, you know, Terence Man, you know, we get we talked about it our closest staff, just you know, keeping the confidence and shooting the basketball. You know, after Game five, like you're forty percent three point shooting, they're gonna leave you open. If we get to the paint, Rudy's coming and you're gonna get open shots. And for him to come in a big game like this and step up and make seven threes,
I mean it was huge for us. But having a confidence, you know, trusting his work, I mean it was it was unbelievable to see that. Tonight. It's next we'll go to Candice Buckner. Hey, Ti, hopefully you can hear me. You've been in the city for a long time, a lot on the other side of this hallway, But how would you describe just the makeup of a Clipper fan in the city. They've been
starving, you know, starvings by success. You don't have a lot of good teams and just call it, you know, a lot of bad breaks. And we know when Kali went down, you know, didn't fight, thinking the same thing over and over again. So when CP got hurt, but Blake got hurt, and with our team, I'll just tell you, you know, they just don't quit. They keep fighting, They keep repeating,
and I think our fans love to see that. This year, like we never gave in, never pointed to Inger, never you know, pointing to blame on someone else. We looked in the mirror. We owned it and we moved on. And I just tell you, just a TOBAL team member all season long, all playoffs long, different rotations, you know, starters not playing, you know, starters playing, you know Pat Baby not playing last series and didn't come in this series and change the whole series for
us. So you know, it's a TOBAL team member and we're all a war. We're trying to win and our team is willing to do whatever it takes to win. Thanks next to Ty, What did you say to them when you when they're down twenty five early in the third quarter. I mean, you guys have done come back after come back down O two, down oh two. First team to ever do that, have to come back in two series this postseason. But when you're down twenty five and the third what
did you say to them? Just continue to keep trusted, you know what we've been doing all series long, all season long. You know about in the first half, we took a lot of bad shots. We didn't touch the paint, and we took some bad shots, but at half time we just talked about when we get into the pain, you know we can get any shot we want. We know Rudy's coming to help, and guys are gonna be open all around the floor. So don't take it personal. Don't
take the one on one battle. If you can't get to the paint swinging, slip out the next guy. Viving in basketball, when we get into the paint, we can get shots. And I think you saw it in the second half, you know, scoring eighty one points and I think having I'm not sure I'm been assisted in the second half. I think nineteen assisted
in the second half. But were moving to basketball and we've just trusted what we've been what we've been doing all season, and U ty PG just said that it feels like the monkeys kind of come off the clipping back a little bit. You you were just talking about how how starved this fan base is. Does it feel like maybe some of all that bad luck from the past is kind of dissipating. Yeah, tonight. I mean just seeing our fans and how they stayed to the end and how they would cheer, and it
just, you know, it just feel good. It was a great feeling, you know, And like I said, a team been starving for some success. The fan base has been doing the same thing, and you know, to me, I just you know, I always look at it differently, Like, you know, I know the Lakers are out and there's a lot of Laker fans here, but once the Lakers are gone and we're not
playing the Lakers, you should be cheering for the Clippers. And that's just how I feel, because all one city and I can just feel to love and you know, I'm just very happy, damn straight, Coach lou Well said there at the end. The Clippers win by twelve in a game they were down by twenty five in in Game six. They're moving on. They're advanced into the Western Conference Finals for the first time in the history of this
franchise. And while we credited coach lou earlier, it starred with Steve Ballmer. I do want to talk about this front office a little bit and Lawrence Frank, who doesn't get nearly enough recognition even though he won Front Office Executive of the Year last season, but his staff Michael Winger, Mark Hughes,
Trent Redden, of course the logo Jerry West. Think about this. They found two guys on vet minimums in Nicholas Batoum and Reggie Jackson, who wasn't even with the Clippers at the start of training camp, and they're both starting in the playoffs and coming up huge and integral part of this Clippers team. They're part of the corps and they wouldn't be here without him. And this
front office has just been brilliant. It's unfortunate that Sergebacca, because I think that was a perfect fit for this team has been dealing with that back injury. He's out for the season, wasn't able to play much. But they go out and find a Marcus Cousins who has given them big minutes at times. Pat pat this season has given them huge minutes. Patrick Patterson, he started the stay ready movement. He's been saying it for years. Stay ready,
don't have to get ready, just to add water. During the regular season when he came into games, he would just catch fire out of nowhere at times, and it permeated throughout the team and it became a matra and Terrence Man started to do it. Luke Kennard and this Clippers team finds ways to win and just found their way into the Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history. But the job is not done. They want more.
I saw quotes from Reggie Jackson saying we're hungry, and you could see it when he saw the finish line approaching in this fourth quarter, knowing they were this close, he just was relentless go into the basketball. Incredible season so far, Clipper Nation not done. They start the Western Conference Finals in Phoenix. Game one is on Sunday, twelve thirty.
