The game is over. Paul George money in the pain, but the postgame reaction has just begot Kawhi Leonard is so smooth in the mid range. This is Clippers Locker Room, a recap of today's game and a look ahead on your hope for LA Clippers basketball. And now your host, You, sir,
are a bad man, Adam Ousley. With the Clippers down eighteen in Portland, it took a former Blazer to lead them back because Norman Powell had twenty two of his thirty two points in the fourth quarter, and the Clippers come all the way back down eighteen to win one eighteen to one, twelve in Portland, over the trail Blazers. Welcome into your post game show. Coming up, we will have second half highlights. You'll hear from Storm and
Norman Powell and the head coach. But first we go back to Mota Center with your voice of the Clippers. Noah Eagle, No, not just a great performance. That was an all timer from Norman Powell. There twenty two points of the fourth quarter, thirty two point points in twenty four minutes, Adam, that was ridiculous. Every time he touched the ball he was finding a way to punish the defense in some way, shape or form. They
couldn't stop him on driple penetration. Then he started knocking down jump shots, and then he got to the free throw line at will. He took ten free throws in this game and to go four or five from three point territory. This is the Norman Powell we expected coming into the season, and he's
only gotten better and better and better seemingly with each game this year. Coming into this one, in his previous five he had been averaging twenty one, so he had been doing this, but he didn't have an explosion at this level. I mean, very few players can have an explosion at this level. Now, he knows these rims well and maybe he felt comfortable, but he was a plus seventeen, as was Reggie Jackson, and those two together it just felt like willed this team to a win. The other thing talked
about it all through the first three quarters. Defense had to allow more than thirty points in the first three quarters apiece. Only seventeen points allowed in that fourth quarter, and some of that was blade there's missed a few. Anfrey Simons came back down to earth finally and goes one for five from three. But Clippers defenses, there's a lot of credit. They forced a couple turnovers, they get out in transition, and they limit their own turnovers only thirteen
on the night. Overall, this is exactly what you want to see. And you can build off of this and then some if you're the Clippers, and maybe we'll look back at this night and say a defensive star was born. With Musa Diabat playing the entire fourth quarter, there have been Clippers fans, there have been some others who have been screaming, I'd love to see Musa Diabat. I may have been a proponent of his for a while, but what a beautiful performance. And you had the French connection call with he
and Nicholas Battoon with huge two huge blocks late, just massive. And what Diabat does and we've talked about this, Adam, Sure he doesn't have the most refined offensive game. Let's say that's not what he's out there to do. He's not out there to put up twenty twenty five points. What he's out there to do is provide energy, what Terrence Mann has done for years. He's out there to protect the rim. Well he did that at a high level and he's out there to just be a defensive guy like he can
switch one through five. That's why they drafted him, and he was able to do that at Michigan as well well. He showed that he got switched down to the perimeter, got it done, He got put inside and had to battle with Nurkics, got it done, go out there, rebound, get it done. He did a little bit of everything for this team and that's what helped guide them to a win. And at the end of the day, that's all you ask for, obviously, is to get a win,
no matter how you have to do it. And I think Diabatte was as big of a reason as anybody in this one. You look at the plus minus again, I know it's all a fourth quarter, but plus nineteen in twelve minutes and nineteen seconds. He took one shot and one no, make it two free throws. One shot, two free throws. That's it doesn't need to shoot to impact the game. That's the type of guy you
want on your team. You mentioned Reggie Jackson having a great game as well, and that's coming off the folly had at the end of the first half. In that third quarter to help keep things within range. He had thirteen of his twenty four points. He was great, and this was a gritty
performance for Reggie Jackson. And it's almost unfair for Reggie at this point because last season, from Game one to Game eighty two, they asked him to be their leader and basically do whatever it took, and he did it night in and night out, didn't complain, just went out there and did everything he could, all the effort in the world, and lived with the results. Well, this year, he wasn't necessarily supposed to have that same level
of responsibility. He wasn't supposed to be playing forty one minutes in a game and basically played the entire second half. Actually don't think he came out in the second half of this game, So that's not what he was supposed to be doing this year. But despite being thirty two, despite being in his twelfth year, having all those miles, I think he was bummed about his performance against the Pacers, even with that win five points, four rebounds,
four assists. He had been playing such good basketball leading up to that game. He knew he had to get a get back and even after the fall, and he wasn't. He was playing good, not great at that point, to grit it out, to grind that through, I mean that just shows the character of Reggie Jackson and why this team has relied on him so often over the last couple of years, dating back to the twenty twenty one
playoffs where he was anointed mister June as a nickname. He has been that good when he has been on his game, and tonight was one of those games. And now the Clippers are eight and one. When he scores at least seventeen, that should tell you all you need to know about his level of impact. But him and norhim together, if they can play like this when Kawai and Paul George and Luke Kennard and John wall are all in the
lineup, I mean, how do you stop that offense? We know what they can do defensively, They've been the second best defense in the NBA even without Kawai for the majority of the season, so defensively, I'm not worried. But how do you stop that offense if they're all cooking like that? That's a scary thought. Need to see it. Clippers come back down eighteen to win one, eighteen to one twelve against the Portland Trailblazers in Portland.
They're on a back to back. Second half of that is tonight or excuse me, tomorrow night against the Utah. Yess yeah, I don't know. I know they're deep, and I know they have some depth and some young guys that just came up. But they're taking out the Utah Jazz tomorrow. Trusted and Brown only played six times. They're ready. He had fifteen points for the Blazers.
Reggie Jackson had thirteen. The Clippers were down by thirteen heading into the fourth and then there was this explosion from Storm and Norman Powell just pass patoomb swing it Pal baseline, drive Pal up and under reverse layup, spun through with a left hand. Norman Powell with the acrobatic finish. Seventeen points off the bench and the Clippers are within seven ninety eight ninety one. Jackson of the front court finds Pal drives down the left alley to the rim, inside hand

As Pal drives middle oh, he flips it up and in counting and a fell Norman Powell a bee line with the bucket with a chance for three. It's a Pal takeover in the place he used to call

Norman Powell with twenty two points in the fourth quarter. He outscored the Blazers by himself as the Clippers won the fourth quarter
thirty six to seventeen. And oh yeah, you know who was a plus nineteen out there when they won the quarter by nineteen Moosa Diabat, the young rookie out of Michigan, gets his first real meaningful minutes and plays the entire fourth quarter. A couple of key offensive rebounds, a big block He and Nicolas Nicholas Batum with huge blocks at the rim, and the Clippers come back down eighteen to win one eighteen to one twelve in Portland over the Trailblazers.

They win one eighteen to one twelve in Portland over the trail Blazers. Welcome in the Clippers Talk. I'm Atam Moslin eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy is the phone number if you'd like to get on get to me at follow Adam a
on Twitter. Coming up, you're gonna hear from Norman Powell. I believe he said something that had to be censored on TNT. But a lot of excitement when you score twenty two points against your former team in the fourth quarter to bring a team back down eighteen for a victory. Coming up, William Updike will also be here from Clips and Dip. We'll do some Clips and Double Dip. You'll hear from coach Lou We'll get to your phone calls. But is this going to be more than just a win for the Clippers.
Is this gonna have legs? In a similar fashion to what Nicholas Batoum said a few years ago when the Clippers came back down twenty against the Hawks, and they said something was born out of that victory and it helped power them to the Western Conference Finals even without Kawhi Leonard. This would be in early
season signature type of victory like that for the Clippers. But when they could use now at thirteen and nine and six and four on the road, and they were without Kauai, they were without Paul George, no Luke Kennard. And we heard earlier today some of the cavalry arrived in Musa Dabate and Jason Preston. Preston played some of the first half. Look good, I want assist. It is only shot. It was a three ball, but just played six minutes, and I kept wondering when it's coach Luke gonna go to
Musa Dyabate. I've been talking about this guy. If you've seen me on Twitter at follow out of a right now. Maybe I'm patting myself on the back a little bit too much, but I said on November seventeenth. I just want to see what he could do with this team. I said, honestly, this might be crazy, crazy, given who's on the Clippers team, but I'd love to see what Diabat could bring to the Clippers. They need some type of boost, energy, relentless hustle. I just wonder what
he could do. And he was all that and then some. As he played the entire fourth quarter. The numbers weren't staggering, but in a quarter that the Clippers win by nineteen and hold the Portland Trailblazers to seventeen points, he was huge. A couple of big offensive rebounds, a huge block. He and Nicholas Batoum with the French connection blocks on back to back possessions on the Portland Trailblazers after Anthony Simons could not be stopped in that third quarter where
he had fifteen points. Then it was Norman Powell taking over in the fourth against his former team with great defense around him in Roco. But toomb In Mousi Diabate, the young rookie who was destroying teams in the G League, getting twenty and ten. But he's this swim whitable, versatile defender. He doesn't have a well rounded offensive game. He doesn't need that to make an impact. Yet. He can play out on the perimeter, he can play
on the interior. But he has a motor on him that is special, that can give the Clippers more juice out there, that can give them a boost, a shot in the arm, whatever you want to call it. He brings hustle and relentless hustle to the game and I think helped inspire guys as a rookie out of Michigan. But talk about an inspiring performance from Norman. Powell said all season he's the third best player, most important player on this team. This is who he is. Last five games, coming into
this one, he was getting an efficient twenty. Now you can't expect twenty two point quarters all the time, but he is a scoring machine. And having a twenty two point fourth quarter against your former team when you're down eighteen, that is special. That's huge for anybody that's not just great, that's an all time performance. He finishes with thirty two, had ten points heading into the fourth, finishes with thirty two on ten of sixteen, shooting four
or five from three. Get into the free throw line, did miss a couple, but just an unbelievable, otherworldly performance, just like we saw from a visa Zoobots on Sunday. And I told you right now, without Kauai, without Paul George, they have to have guys step up like this and be a star for one night and play like a superstar. Now, it wasn't just Norman Powell, because Reggie Jackson, after taking that huge fall at the end of the second quarter, people are saying he shouldn't come back in,
leave Reggie out. He starts the third quarter and is ridiculous as Anthony Simons was from three, hitting five of his seven attempts in that quarter, looked like he couldn't miss. He had fifteen of his thirty seven in the third. Reggie Jackson very quietly had a thirteen point third quarter, and after being down eighteen, the Clippers were down thirteen heading into the fourth. They don't win this game without that belief from Reggie Jackson there in the third and
his performance in the second half. And they don't win it without coach Lou pushing all the right buttons, the chiropractor, tinker and tie and going to a rookie for the comeback and playing small which worked against Portland beautifully. Aviza Zubats was a minus twenty one. It wasn't his night out there. Moses Brown wasn't his night either. What worked is when they went small and got the matchups they wanted against Nurkics and made Portland adjust to them and the comeback
Clippers. They're back their biggest comeback of the season, down eighteen. Huge win for that on the front end of a back to back with two players they just brought in today from the G League. Both contributed. Musa Diabatte can't overstate the performance he had, but this is what I expected. I'm not kidding. I said they need some type of boost energy, relentless hustle. I just wonder what he could do. Earlier today, I tweeted out, and this is gonna make me sound like a nerd, but have you
seen Transformers of the movie from nineteen eighty six. You know hot Rod turns into Rodimus Prime as he holds up the matrix. Yeah, probably TMI. But I put out that gift earlier today saying Musa, it's time and maybe a defensive star was born tonight because this is what the type of game he has. This is the type of game he has out there. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes. Again, don't look for huge offensive, an offensive bag and an arsenal from him. Look for putbacks and rim running.
But on the defensive end, he can guard everyone at six to eleven. He's been wrecking teams in the G League. Yes, the G League. Well, there have been great players that have come out of there, and some of that can transfer. And I think he has tools that work on this level and work now and can help the Clippers right now. Clippers come back down eighteen in the third quarter, Norman Powell. The twenty two point fourth Musa Diabate is here. What a night. Let's start with Javier and
Lahabra heights here on Clipper stock. Yeah, what's up? I think you were taking my call. There's three teams here. How they won this game? Number one Norman Powell. I mean that's the normal power we know. I mean thirty two points and how many And that's the Norman Powell that the Portland Trailblazers know too. He had twenty two points in the fourth. Yeah, and it was just nice to see that. And like you said, it was against his team, so that's number one, Number two, Reggie
Jackson. I mean the fall he took, I honestly thought that he's only going to come back at the second half. But you know, he's a tough kid, you know, so he's like, you know, when he came back, I'm like, you know, they're gonna win. He just he just he just didn't want to He just wanted to play. And the third thing is how even noticed. I think the first half they had ten turnovers, the second half they had three. That helped him a lot three
and the second half that's a great call. That's a great call. And that's something you know, a couple of games ago against Denver they cut down the turnovers in the same way in the second half where they had made adjustments. I'll add a fourth to what you just said there to Xavier Roco.
Fifteen points in eighteen minutes from Robert Covington, and he had an eleven oh run in the second quarter on his own and was keeping the Clippers in it, and had two buckets a nice layup in the fourth quarter and obviously played stellar defense. Yeah, yeah, he did. And I teas the last thing, I don't know, We've got all the calls tomorrow on the back to back game day sit. Honestly, the way Pal's been playing, just just switching with Pat with switching with a man and let pause start. Now,
I don't know it's been working. Pal coming off the bench. There's no reason. There's no reason to change things with the way he's been playing off the bench. And Terrence Man, it's been very good. Terrence Man has been awesome, shooting over sixty percent, and I think his last six games now he also made plays in this one. I do disagree on that point, Javier, but it's not about who starts, it's about who finishes games. And I always thought Norman Powell would be one of those closers for
the Clippers. They come back down eighteen, he has twenty two and the fourth they win one eighteen to one twelve over the Portland trail Blazers. Quick time out here on Clippers Talk. We'll come back. We'll get to your phone calls. Eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy eight six sixty nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number looking for postgame audio from Storman Norman Powell also looking for somebody who used to tweet at me about comparing
him to Jamal Crawford, and I said, they're pretty different players. But you know what, I'm not gonna go there tonight when they already have an old takes exposed. There was a Laker fan who got to me when the Clippers were down by eighteen, rooting for the Blazers. You know, it's weird. Sometimes Lakers fans are like Clippers are irrelevant. Other times it looks
like Clippers are living rent free in their head. Yes, more Clippers stock next are only M five seventy All a sports to the devil to a temple. I sell water to a speedboat and he's a zachonic, a whim promemade prop And now I keeps some damn face in my pocket. Given faded. We knew it was blocked by George. This is LA Clippers basketball. He is a one man defensive man on the home of your LA Clippers champagne face. Well, they know in Portlands, they know Norman Powle's face, they
know the name. They know you can leave a team back against him. Down eighteen with a twenty two point fourth quarter, Norman Powe finishes with thirty two, has twenty two in the fourth just relentless downhill attack, acrobatic layups, tough layups and once an insane performance. But it's what he can do. That's why I was so excited when they brought him in. I thought
it was a perfect fit. Next to Kawai and Paul George and on nights when they're not there, this is somebody that can get you an easy twenty and sometimes he can do it in one quarter. Clippers win one eighteen to one twelve over the Portland Trailblazers. Let's hear from Coach Low in the locker room post game, as obviously it was a celebratory mood with the Clippers on the front end of the back to back. Preston man, way to come in and play, most way to come in and play, most way to
come in and play, granting big charge on get grand six five. But everyone, we're gonna come up the bench, fifteen Marcus, big block, big shot the end, norm, way to come out and play first half, come out second half. Twenty four points in the second half, eight and teen from the field. So listen, everybody chipped in. That's a that's a real team win, right there. Prest That is exactly that a real team win something they can build off of, something they can catapult off
of. Because this is that Grady Clippers team, the same guys, a lot of them that have set records for comebacks down thirty five last season, second biggest comeback ever against the Washington Wizards. They were doing that with Luke Kennard and a mere coffee and Teris Man leading him. Norman Powell being at the vandguard of this comeback, I mean, could he be more of a
Clipper? It's just it's just too perfect of a fit. I always thought that he was the right guy to be the third scorer on this team next to Kawai and Paul George because he can do it in a lot of different ways and he makes it look effortless when he's on his game. And pretty much the last two and a half weeks now, he's been a different player than he was to start the season, and he was a different player than anyone else on the court. Tonight in the fourth, Morris and longbeat jeron
Clipper Stock with Adam Oslin. What's up what we saw today with just how deep, just how deep the Clippers are. Listen, we saw some guys we didn't even know was on the team. Madam, who was this guy? Goes? Didn't know these on the team. This was awesome. This was straight up awesome. That guy from Portland, he was so hard. I thought I was looking at fire. I mean the guy he had like seven threes twenty one twenty so, I mean there was nothing we could do
with him. And you get to the fourth quarter. God, I didn't recognize this team, I said the other day. I said the other day that the Clippers had three different teams. I was wrong. They got four because I didn't recognize these guys they had up every night. And and Roco, I know this is I know this is Paul's man. I'm not gonna take that from him. But Roco, here's a guy. Here's a guy. I know coaches love this kind of brother. Here's a guy. Get
a whole lot of coaches decide he ain't gonna play. He get a chance to play, he blows up, no powerty, he blows up. This was one. I man, I'm so mpressed. I thought they was gonna lose the game. I'm not kidding you. I love the Clippers, but I thought they was gonna lose this game. But I'm gonna say something. Don't bet against these guys. Doctor they behave yourself. Thank you Morris. Don't bet against no Pal who went seven of nine from the field in the
fourth quarter for those twenty two points. Fantastic performance. Lenny in Inglewood, Lenny, what's up? What's good? I've been I've been looking for you, Lenny, where you at. I've been laying low and laying a lot, and I was checking it out. But look, man, here's what we're gonna do. Because he's team Wait wait wait wait, wait wait wait, let's start with the apologies to her. I mean, Lenny, last time I heard from you, you were talking about Reggie Jackson a ton and
let me finished. That's what I said. That's what we gonna do. I'm gonna tell you who we need to get rid of, and then they gonna come back and turn it out. Next next person we need to get rid of as Luke knar o God. So you're saying you're you're the reverse Jink, So that's what you're doing, reverse baby. I'm the reverse baby. But you know what about Reggie Man and I saw this comment, it was true. I think that you know Reggie's up. Reggie's giving us way
more than a role player. But we've putting so much on his shoulders that it's like we expect him to to do what he's doing every night now, and it's it's good, it's it's you know, I'm glad we're getting it. But you know, Reggie's Reggie's not penciled in as the kind of guy who did you expect to get that every night? Well, well, how about this, then, let's just talk about what he's doing in November.
Here's here's the numbers. Agree, can he sustained fourteen points on fifty percent shooting and forty percent from three because that's what he's been doing for a month now. I know he's looked at. He totally turned it around. I'm glad, and I'm glad for him and glad the team. You know, I think this is one of their best wins for the year, no doubt, because my issue with them early on if they weren't fighting, they just weren't fighting like in this game, like it. I just watched it as
a fan. I forgot like that. I was because the way they would just bawl it. And then you know, Norma Park. I think that was the most I think that was the most impressive fourth quarter performance. And in NBA all year, I ain't see not like that. And they were just fighting, man, they were just fighting everybody loose. And like I said, they were not doing that before. And that's what I did not dig at all, you know, And it's like that. But but but
Lenny, what did I say? It's early? It's early. What was I screaming when they were two and four? It's too early to judge this team. But Adam, let me tell you something, Bro, I've been watching the Celtics and then them Cats came. I'm saying, from the first tip of the ball, they've they've been on it. Hey, great, they were five hundred halfway through the season last year. They were five hundred halfway through the season last year and got to the NBA finals. Great.
Yeah, but they're playing they're playing with a chip on their shoulder and that's what and that's and the way they played tonight. Norm problem was like I refuse to lose. And he came back home. He came back to like you said, familiar familiar rims. And he's a baller man, you know, bow lag and bow Lag and Norman as a baller. And that's what I love about the cat. I've always loved that about him and he I remember he used to kill us when he was with the Portland and and Toronto.
And I see you say the same thing. I was like, damn, I wish you had that, dude, And I'm glad we got him man because he can he can make him and you're right, do not start him. He's perfect coming off the bench. Man is Man has been fantastic. I think if Man gets those kind of minutes, he gives you those kind of numbers. He's good for sixteen sixteen a game. Excellent defense, I mean, just to all around. And then the fact that you got
Betune mentoring Diabate, I mean, you can't ask for better. Makes you met He's cap He's keeping this cat on point. And Uh, there was just a really good win. Man. Like I said, I I really wasn't. I was. I was more into the game as a fan than I realized. It was like, they're gonna win. They can win this because we should not have won that game because the way that boy was shooting. Uh, Simmons was certain. I was like, we can't stop this
dude. I was like, he's gonna take them home. But other wise, and that that blocking foul, the charge that was drawn by by Reggie Jackson to get Jeremy Grant out of the ball game, to give him a sixth foul, underrated, amazing play. Absolutely, Look, man, my hat's off to Reggie. My bad. I'm glad. I'm glad he's back
on point, all right. And I like the fact that non Powell took on the defensive assignment on athlete Signmon's that is that's a baller, you know, not just getting his But I'm gonna, you know, I'm gonna show you what's something, young man. And he you know, he took it to him, man. But just just a really inspiring play. And I'm glad that. You know, we got to get that one in the mile, dig that one out and then you know, we'll we'll see what's what's
from there. But if they can get if they can get that one the mile, man, there's no doubt we you know, we're there so anyway doing doing a good job out and keep it up and let's let's go, all right, all right, good phone call, good phone call. Reggie Jackson, by the Way with twelve assists, twelve of the twenty six team assists by the Clippers. Still looking for post game audio from Norman Powell. Maybe there's a reason it's tough to find. I heard there was an expletive,
a little bit of excitement after a victory like this. Of course he has twenty two. On the fourth, the Clippers come back down eighteen in the second half. They win one eighteen to one twelve in Portland's over Norman Powell's former team and Rowcos in the Trailblazers. Big time victory. Let's see if the Clippers can roll it into tomorrow's game in Utah. More on that as well, But William Updyke from Clips and Dip is coming in next.
You're listening to Clippers talk here on the M five seventy yards sports. Last time that I check its fine chains on my neck, it was no smut on my BRep. Last time that I send us set and the quartermeil no sweat. Last time I'll come back in the Clippers. I'm out of Moslin. After they come back down eighteen to twenty two, and the fourth from Norman Powell, they win one eighteen to one twelve. In Portland over his
former team in the Blazers. What a victory for the Clippers eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy A spirited victory, an inspiring win. Will see what carryover they have as they introduced a few new players in Jason Preston, Musadiabat and did all this without Kauai, without Paul George, and without Luke Kennard. But we've seen it before. We've also had this man on before for a little clips and
double dip. It's our friend William Updike here does clips and Dip with myself and Charles Mockler. Will I believe Norman Powell would be your surprise player to watch if I remember our podcast from last night for this ballgame. That's right, that's right, Powell and Covington both returning to their old team in a way that's like an unfair picture act sidentally quote unquote sent by your ex's friend to you. Are then doing great? Norman Powell thirty two points the efficiency
though absolutely off the charts. How about that fourth quarter from Norm he absolutely destroyed. Yeah, twenty two of his thirty two points in that fourth quarter. So I gave you some love of that prediction. Can you throw some back at me, because nobody's gonna believe that. I talked about Musa Dabat and how he could be a big contributor with this Clippers team, even this season a couple of weeks ago. Nobody's gonna believe it. You called it. I mean, you hit the nail right on the head, and oh
my gosh. And the word unfatible is a dirty word for Clippers fans dating back to the Avery Bradley era. But how about a team second best plus nineteen in twelve fourth quarter minutes from Musa Diabate. Taylou credited his switchability and his energy is the reason he was in there to close that game, and boy did we see it. He got a crucial loose ball foul what he's
stuck in there for a rebound? Just an absolute great game. And you know, his biggest fan, his biggest cheerleader out there is Nick but two, who had quite an unstatable game himself, plus twenty two and just twenty five minutes. Well not exactly once again burning your eyes out with the stats, but man, the French connection with the impact in this horn. Yeah, those two blocks down the stretch at the rim, just enforcing and patrolling
the pain. Just emphatic blocks. I'd love to see that from both of them. I mean, hey, Moosa played the entire fourth quarter. They won it by nineteen. Hed better be a plus nineteen out there. I'm never believing that stat again. That's how good he was. Reggie Jackson was also spectacular, especially because he faced him adversity. He was playing hurt a little. He had that huge fall at the end of the second quarter off a crazy made layup, and it looked like a lot of people thought he
might not even play in the second half. Instead, he has thirteen points in that third quarter just to keep them within striking distance. I thought Reggie Jackson was spectacular, absolutely like absolute heroics from Reggie and this one. And it wasn't just that thirteen point that kept him afloat when Anthony Simon's absolutely torched the Clippers with fifteen of his own in that third quarter. It was all the extra stuff Reggie was doing. He was leaping on the scorers table to
grab loose ball. He sacrificed his body after that brutal fall for a late game charge that gave Jeremy Grant his six foul. Look, Reggie Jackson in this one gut it out every single number on that stat line. Sure, he put up twenty four, seven and twelve. He took twenty three shots to get to those twenty four points, and man, this was just this to me, was like a masterclass in sort of the next man up, just grind it out sort of mentality, that identity that we keep talking about
that we knew from this Clippers squad. Reggie put every ounce of his body into that performance. And I don't know what we can expect to see on the second night of a back to back after playing every minute of the second half, but oh my gosh, what a performance from Reggie that was. That was just man, that was just giving me all the memories of what this Clipper's team can be and what guys give to this squad. Yeah, it felt like deja vu. It just it felt like once again things are
crystallizing for what the identity and what the philosophy of this team is. They just don't quit, They keep coming. They feel comfortable when they're down big. That seems to be when they're at their best they're okay without they're stars.
They find ways to win. And I thought even though he went three of thirteen in the ball game, there was a big move by coach lew to put Marcus Morris back in for Robert Covington down the stretch, and Marcus, with the Clippers being down three with two minutes left, hit a huge seventeen foot jumper. I just love to see that because even though he was what at that time, he was two for twelve, and he still had the confidence to take and make that shot. Absolutely absolutely, and we saw
him give it on the defensive end. Like overall, I mean a little bit of a rough outing for him, but once again the spurs that he was able to give, the effort that he was able to give on the other end of the ball, it's still those impact moves. And I think, you know Morris, especially as a guy who I know can be sometimes polarizing or frustrating the Clippers fans, you know, you see that trust from the coaching staff and you see that impact on the floor, and it's just
I mean, it's undenied. Well, even when the guy isn't scoring the ball at the level that we know he can do, He's still able to provide that impact. Clippers come back down eighteen. They win one eighteen to one twelve in Portland over the Trailblazers and get twenty two points from Norman Powell and the fourth who outscored his former team by five by himself. He is William Updyke. Follow him there on Twitter. Listen to him on the Clips
and Dip podcast with myself and Charles Mockler. Thanks for the double Dip session tonight. Appreciate it. Will absolutely couldn't come after a better win. Always a pleasure. Now we'll see if the Clippers can turn this into something more. Can this spring board them forward? We'll find out tomorrow. They're in Utah taking on a jazz team they played twice already. They're one and one against. We'll talk about that. Still looking for postgame audio, you're listening
to Clippers stock here on the M five seventy light spots. For me, it was blocked by George. This is LA Clippers basketball. He is a one man King craw on the defensive man on the home of your LA Clippers. Another Clippers big time comeback, this time down eighteen without Kawai Paul George and Luke Kennard and a couple of young guys helped them in a big comeback Moosa diabat in that fourth quarter. I thought Jason Preston gave them good minutes,
just six, but in that first half was good. Terrence Man. You want to highlight everybody in a big comeback team win like this. Terrence Man had that big nine oh run with a couple of three pointers, a block on Jeremy Grant in the second quarter. Clippers do it though, on the back of Norman Powell, the fourth who had twenty two of his thirty two points in the final twelve minutes. Thirty two points in twenty four total minutes. Unreal after what we saw Sunday with Big Zoo. Tonight it was
