Time for a postgame look. It's your La Clippers. This is Clippers Locker Room, brought to you by Cedars Sinai, the official health partner of the LA Clippers, and by Patchonga, official travel casino of the LA Clippers. Breaking down today's action with the pre and post game voice. If you're LA Clippers, they're locking in every game every night. Adam Osland Kawhi Bleepin' Leonard comes through late and gives the Clippers their best victory of the season in a

time of need. They win in Philadelphia one oh eight till one oh seven. Welcome into your postgame locker room show. I'm Adam Oslin, coming up on a five to seventy LA Sports. We'll have Clippers suck for you eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy. But first, let's get back to your radio voice. Up the Clippers in Carlo Jimenez. There's your superstar, there's your Hall of Famer.

There's the guy that can bail you out no matter how difficult the opposition looks to be. And especially after that Buddy Healed three pointer where it looked like it's just not gonna be the Clippers night, and Kawhi would not be denied. Carlos Adam Osen Kawhi. Leonard was not losing this game, and he did everything, even the block on Ubre after Ubra didn't get the shut up. It didn't matter. But that's how good Leonard was in this one.

He wasn't gonna allow there to be an opportunity for the Sixers to win this game, won a finish. What a way for Leonard to come back in this game. I mean three points in the first Hawn, he was an uncharacteristic one for eight and we were scratching our heads. And then in the second half he donned a cape and closed it for the Clips one seven the Adam. The Clippers never led by more than one. They only led three times, but that's all they needed. The final nine seconds got them

the victory. It was in oppressive and we talked about it pregame. We said, look, the Clippers just need one gritty win. They just need one opportunity to find us some toughness, to create, some calluses to re invigorate themselves. And it feels like Adam, this is the best start possible.

It looks like after a win like this. The Clippers still have what it takes to come through down fifteen in this ballgame, looking lifeless down twelve after the first quarter, where they can still find themselves and recapture that identity of being able to play through adversity and just find ways to win. Credit coach lou for pushing the right buttons, for going small late, for having the switchability out there for them finally taking away Tyrese Maxi. Philly still is

a quality ball club. They had some of the others stepping up late, but the Clippers were just too good. It was two Pine three and Norman Powell making big shots late, huge huge shots from Norm, from Paul George who set the tone early in the fourth quarter, and of course Leonard took the baton and finished the race ahead of the pack. It was an unbelievable effort by that group. I thought, defensively, they really got it done,

and adam their ability to attack the bane. Our santistician Bob Windheim handing me a note here. The Clippers had thirty four points in the paint to the first three quarters, eighteen in the fourth. I mean they put pressure

on the rim both teams went small, and the Clippers took advantage. Without Mobamba on the floor, they got downhill and they got to the rim the will of Kawhi Leonard Lake getting to the rim with the right hand, with the left hand, showing off the sky skill level that we have known of. This is probably the best seventeen points seven for nineteen performance of his career. I would say, Carlo, I don't think you're wrong. Adam.

The way he finished, it's something we've talked about. Nineteen more clutch points than anybody else on this Clipper team. Kawhi Leonard has been Superman down the stretch for the Clippers, and today Adam, he was the superhero for this Clippers team. Really took them the distance big time and ones I mean his ability to fly through the air, to take contact and to finish it was unreal. The Clippers finished this game with a huge, huge stretch down the

floor. I mean, you just look at this box score at him. They shoot eight more shots, they got back to their three point shooting fourteen for thirty six, twenty eight assists, eight turnovers Adam eight turnovers the most. The least they had this season is seven. If I if I'm right off the top of my head. This was a beautiful game to watch for the Clippers. It was stressful, but it was everything they needed in more

gritty win absolutely and just three turnovers in the final three quarters. Got back to taking care of the basketball. They were better limiting those second chance points in the second half and down the stretch, and they were able to get back enough on defense. You hold a team to one oh seven, that's a great victory in today's NBA. That's a great defensive performance. Overall.

The Clippers didn't have their best, but they had their best when it was required late and their best player, Kawhi Leonard, took care of the rest. Two and ones down the stretch. Two blocks down the stretch. One may not have counted, but it's the thought that counts sometimes. With that block on Kelly Ouprey after good defense by PG thirteen step enough as well there as the low man, and the Clippers win one oh eight to one oh

seven in Philadelphia. Kawhi keep the cape on. Everybody get on his back. It sounded to fly to Orlando. Clippers will be taken on the magic on Friday. Tip time for that one is at four pm. We'll have your pregame show at three Carlo. It is great. Call down the stretch, my friends. Safe travels. We'll talk to you on Friday. Thank you so much, Adam. Can't wait to talk to you in Orlando.

Let's go, baby whoa Clippers come through with a much needed victory thanks to the claw Kawhi Leonard or talk about it and get your second half highlights next right here on your Clippers locker Room show on the Los Angeles Clippers Audio Network. The LA Clippers continue their hunt for a Lario be. They still want

to get that Lario beat. Don't miss a moment all season long. This is the LA Clippers Audio Network. You can let out that collective sigh of relief and thank God or Kawhi Leonard in this case, who comes through late for the Clippers. Clipper Nation as they win one o eight to one oh seven in Philly over the seventy six ers and start off this four game road trip with a victory. Welcome back in a Madame Oslin. This is your

Clippers postgame locker room show. Come on up, we'll have clipperstock for you on AM five to seventy LA Sports eight six six ninety eight seven two five seventy eight sixty six ninety eight seven two five seventy. But we got some second half highlights for you. The Clippers were down fifteen in the first half, but they started to battle. They showed some toughness, They showed some of that spirit they needed when in past games it just felt like you could

break their will with one run. But down fifteen, and then they had it to within four to half. It was fifty to forty six Philadelphia, even with Kawhi, Leonard and Paul George starting off two for fourteen total together. But they started to get it going a little bit in that third quarter. Swings that George left the logo with nine on the timer, George left wing three, puts it in Harden back to George, I pull up three for the lead. There is it. Paul George from bonus distance rebound batt

it out to let it Clippers planning and transition. Harden leaves it off. Leonard then lay up go finish jams right, moves left and his off pic shrees. Leonard picks his pocket. Kawhi one on one with MAXI to the rim. He'll do then't get Paul George in that third quarter would draw eight points. Kawhi Leonard would still finish this three of fifteen from the field,

answering the fourth to start things off. Though in the fourth quarter, which has been the issue for the Clippers, which has been where they had really struggled as of late, it was PG thirteen taking over early. George straight away three cash, big time shot George on the right wing and the Clippers get it going. Pg spins in the paint, goes up with the right hand and feathers it through for two. George with Maxi on him, crossing

over left hand all the way to the rim. George lemonitates finishes plus the foul hanging in the air to find physics and getting the hoop in the harm finds George left wing open for three. Bucket Paul George, another trip bull. Paul George had eleven points. He had eleven points entering the fourth. He had eleven points in the final period alone. But the Clippers were still in an uphill battle. As our old friend Nick buttoom he would have some

clutch shots made. He would play some clutch defense down the stretch. Norman Powell would answer with some big buckets of his own, the King of the Fourth. But nobody, and I mean nobody, was better than Kawhi Leonard in the final two minutes of this ball game, hording the rebound fulcore pass Leonard. He packs it with the right hand, Leonard into the battles inside, fads on the right elbows and drops it in Coffee, swings it to

Leonard to the lane, the reverse lay up. They'll finish now. Leonard pump face fall the way in the rim, plays it up, the fell in one again, the claw in the act and a chancefer three point play and on a night or the Clippers were just fourteen of twenty overall the free throw and we thought it would be their demise. Kawhi Leonard knocked down both of those clutch free throws, converted both and ones, and then had a block on the other end on Kelly Oubre and had one more after the buzzer

to boot. The Clippers come through with a one o eight to one oh seven victory in Philly over the seventy six ers thanks to the claw. Coming up next your final box score and we'll have Clippers sat for you on AM five seventy LA Sports as you're listening to the Los Angeles Clippers Audio networks. The LA Clippers continue their hunt for a Lario B. They still want to get that Lario be. Don't miss a moment all season long. This is

the LA Clippers Audio Network. Kawhi Leonard with the takeover late as he would refuse to lose and wouldn't let your Clippers down multiple and ones, and the Clippers win in Philadelphia one eight to one, one O seven to start off this four game road trip. Kawhi started three or fourteen, finished with just seventeen, but oh the big buckets late he would get the big free throws

and not to mention his Patna in PG. Thirteen who had eleven points early in the fourth quarter, and play some great defense also late on that contest on the Kelly Ubre bucket that would be blocked anyways by Kawhi after the jump ball. Is this the victory that turns things around for the Clippers? I would say it's the exact type of victory. You need to relocate your identity.

We'll talk about it next on AM five to seventy LA Sports eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy outside of Los Angeles, we are leaving you until Friday with the Clippers in or and OD take it on the Magic. Pre game starts at three up. Next Sports, we got Clippers Talk. This has been LA Clippers basketball really good on multitude of levels. Don't miss a moment all season long

mode Adam Ousley. After coach Louke called his team soft, they responded with a hard pot victory in Philly. They win thanks to heroics from Kawhi Leonard late one o eight to one oh seven in the City of Brotherly Love over the seventy six ers. Welcome into your postgame show. I'm Adam Oslin. This is Clippers Talk on a five to seventy LA Sports. If you want to get on eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six

nine eight seven two five seventy. That's how you respond when you're a head coach challenges you like that. When he says your identity that the Clippers have talked about multiple guys PJ. Tucker or excuse me, it was James Harden and Paul George saying we don't we don't have one. When he says, yeah, you got one, it's being soft, it's letting teams break your will. That is how you respond. He challenged his guys, and they

rose to the occasion. Down fifteen in the first half, down fourth to half, down four heading into the fourth quarter, Kawhi Paul George didn't have it going. They combined to start two for fourteen from the field, and somehow Someway PG. Thirteen was masterful early in the fourth quarter with eleven points and then Kawhi Leonard came through clutch late clutched with the K for Kawhi just in. Out of this world performance, but something we have seen from a

top seventy five player ever before. A two time finals MVP A champion was San Antonio A champion in Toronto, and he's trying to do the same for your Los Angeles Clippers. When he came into that fourth quarter, he was three of fifteen from the field. He went four for four in the fourth with multiple and ones down the stretch as he cut through the defense and didn't settle for jumpers and drew content and then knock down big free throws. That's

your superstar. That's why, no matter how bad things look, no matter how much the odds are stacked against you, sometimes and the chips are down and the Clippers were sliding down the standings, when you got that guy in a seven game series, you got a chance against damn near anybody. Kawhi

Leonard is different. He's like that. And if the guys can get behind him and take this momentum with them on this road trip with three games left, starting in Orlando against a good Magic team on Friday, the Clippers could be turning this thing around. I couldn't think of a better way to script a victory to start off this road trip. After all the talk about not having an identity and the Clippers having lost six of their last nine and playing

their worst basketball of the season and looking like a shell of themselves. That's about as good of a victory in the manner they won as you could have. I'd rather see this than a blowout victory for them in Philly. They were tested. They were down five with two minutes left, they were down two after Buddy Healed knocked down a big three pointer after Kawhi's first and one one o seven to one oh five, and Kawhi just does it again, puts them up one o eight to one oh seven, and then has my

favorite defensive play of the season. I think I gotta put this ahead of the block he had on SGA and their sole victory over the OKC thunder back at Crypto, the block he had on Kelly Oubray tough had one more at the end. It was after the buzzer, but goodness know you got that security blanket. Anyways, it would have been blocked by Kawhi if he had got that ball off early. After the jump ball. As Kawhi pinned,

oubre just lay up on the backboard. Unbelievable. Just one of the best plays I've seen in a long time, and the Clippers needed it, and Kawhi, of course, the guy with the least amount of exuberance afterwards, all business. PJ. Tucker tried to give him a big chest bump, and Kawhi looked at him like, this is standard procedure, this is what I do. You didn't know he's got the wallet from pulp fiction. That is a bad mother. Shut your mouth, Kawhi Leonard. They needed that

so badly tonight. This Clippers team was reeling and looking like they were circling the drain in the two pine three era, just backsliding and falling down the standings in the Western Conference to the point where they gotta win games to stay out of the plane. A top three seed is cooked, but the four spot is still a possibility, and that means you'd at least have home court in the first round. Clippers need it, especially if they're taking on the

New Orleans Pelicans, which seems more and more likely. I just can't say enough about the claw Kawhi Leonard and the response from this team. When you're being challenged like that from your head coach and you come through after being down fifteen, that's something you can build off of. That's how you can say

we've found ourselves. I told you one of the positives One of the few I had coming into this game was maybe getting back out on the road, like when they went six to one on that Grammy road trip would be the best thing for him. It's Clippers versus everybody. It's that us against the world, me against the world. Maybe tupac mentality. They need it. Put blinders on and focus in on the task at hand, and that can build up the chemistry and camaraderie that's been missing the last couple of games.

Kawhi Leonard getting into it with a Vitza zobots hell, Big Zoo got into it going to the bench at one point with Coach Low in the second half. Can't tell me the guys don't care when you see him bickering like that. But credit coach Lou for pushing the right button and calling his team out for what they looked like a soft squad that you could come back on, that you could make a run against, that you could punch in the face,

and they just wouldn't punch back. That's what we had seen instead tonight, when they had every opportunity to fold, to pack it in, they didn't. They got tougher, they were gritty, Their backs were against the Wall and Coach Lou made the right adjustment going small late with two, one three, next to James Harden, next to Norn Powell, next to a

mere coffee won in the game. They could switch everything defensively, then on Maxi who was going off early in the fourth quarter, and they could spread the floor for Kawhi to have driving lanes to get those and ones late. That's all Coach Lou. So if you want to talk about him and not playing big enough and too much small ball, what do you have to say after a game like this tonight, We'll start things off with Morris and Inglewood. Now Morris here on, Clippers, stop with our MODSLN. After they

win one O eight to one seven. As Kawhi said, get on my back. I will carry us to victory. What's up Morris? When they get back home? When when the Clippers get back home, everybody need to be at the stadium with signed We love you. Come on, Clippers, we with you. These guys need some inspiration. We saw it today. Hey. By the way, Adam, when you was holling about the Kawhi being the MVP, tonight showed you what the MVP was supposed to do.

Carry the team. He carried the team. The team needs some support. They need to know we behind them. Need some signs out there. These some crazy people in the building, Adam, these guys they can do it. When they were twenty six, they put everybody in the world on notice. We can play anybody, right, and they're gonna return back to that. I'm telling you when they take care of Lamdo on Friday or Nando's athletic,

very athletic, theybando on Friday, We're done turn it around. So let me get off the phone that these other guys called it and crying. But I knew it was never a doubt in my mind it was gonna be Philadelphia tonight. I knew. I didn't know that Kawhi would have to do it by hisself with the kpones, but I knew they were gonna put it out because they didn't have no choice at them. All Right, I'll deal with Jillian and my friends. Maybe they were finally sick and tired of being

sick and tired. They look like a team who forgot how to win after being the team that forgot how to lose for thirty one games where they went twenty six and five things can turn quickly. Wins like this can be inspiring, can bring that passion back, can give them that boost in the final ten games of the regular season. Well here from Kawhi Leonard coming up. We'll take a quick time out. We'll get back to your phone calls.

Eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy. The most spirited victory of the season by the Clippers and their time of need, in their darkest hour, Kawhi clawed them to victory. What a badass you're listening to Clippers talk Here on a five seven LAS Sports, the La Clippers continue their hunt for a Lario b. They still want to get that Lario bat. Don't miss a moment all season long.

This is the La Clippers Audio Network. The Claw went from having his worst game of the season to maybe his most impactful. The Clippers were down but not out, and in Philly, with the Clippers on the ropes, it was the Claw getting them the victory with two and one plays late and two blocks in Philadelphia to secure the win. And when the seventy six ers were hitting shots, when they were battling two and the Clippers fought back finally on

the back of Kawhi Leonard. He was three for fourteen entering the fourth and went four for four in the fourth with ten of his seventeen Paul George had eleven of his twenty two in the fourth. Norman Powell he ended up with seven of his eleven points big buckets in the fourth quarter, and the Clippers just had maybe their most necessary victory of the season with just ten games left

before the playoffs. Welcome back in the Clippers talk, I'm Adam Moslin eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy. I thought Nick Batoom was gonna get that revenge game in. Loved the guy, but hated seeing him knock down shots and have that block like he did on James Harden late. It was tough to watch and hardened by the way really kept this team in it. In the first half.

He was great and had fourteen assists to one turnover with sixteen points. The Clippers had three turnovers total the last three quarters. That's how you win the possession battle. They got up ninety shots Philadelphia eighty two. I thought the Clippers were gonna beat themselves missing free throws, but Kawhi made the biggest two of the ball game unbelievable Jose and Downey. Before we hear from Kawhi, Leonard posts game, you're on Clippers stock with that, I'm ausen hey,

Adam, So I'm gonna be honest. Didn't get to see the game, barely getting home from where it kind of work a fourteen hour shift. So maybe this is why it's hard for me to imagine the whole carrier part, because I'm looking at all the stats, the team stats and everything, and uh, I want to see this why carrying the load? See it gets the and one with the right hand gets the and one with the left hand.

He's amphibious. I mean amidex race, of course. But with that said, I mean I feel like Paul George is the from just looking at the whole stats and stuff. I haven't seen the game. It's like the one that kept them and you know, kind of carried them through that last spot. But they just gotta be ready to go on on on Friday. Man, they got a tough Magic who've lost two games in a row.

They got Charlotte right after, and then they gotta go Vito the Kings, and they got to take care of business, especially in those Indivision or you know, in conference games. But I hope they this is to turn round. But man, I want to see this game. I want to see what you're talking about. Man, I mean, if you he just listened on the radio, Carlo painted the picture perfectly. But Paul George you mentioned

him. He had eleven points early in the fourth to match what Tyrese Maxi was doing, who the Clippers couldn't guard, and then they went small switch everything. Brilliant move by coach Lou Oh something else he did that I don't know. I've been asking for over the last couple of weeks. Get Kawhi Leonard back in the fourth quarter earlier. The way to do that is to not play him the entire third. He took him out about the three minute mark of the third quarter, put James Harden back in. It worked to

perfection. Kawhi came back in and said the seven minute mark. About the nine minute mark of the fourth game looked like it was starting to get away. After Maxie knocked down a three pointer that made it eighty seven to eighty Philly with eight thirty six left George though he was a man possessed two in the fourth gain to the basket, tough layups. It wasn't getting a great whistle, but knocked down a huge three pointer down seven at the five seventeen

mark. Underrated, extremely clutch and needed shot to give the Clippers that hope. It wasn't over lean on your superstars. That's what they're paid to do.

They delivered tonight in the biggest moment of the season to date. With all the negativity surrounding this team and looking like it could be a season on the brink, looking like just like with them folding recently in fourth quarters when teams made runs and they didn't fight back, it looked like they were folding in the fourth quarter of the season with just a dozen games left now just ten, you hope they can carry this over into a victory, as Jose

mentioned, against a tough Orlando team on Friday in Orlando. Let's hear from Kawhi Leonard post game with Christina Pink. I'm excited to hear from the claw. Quite dramatic finish here in Philly, but you had back to back and ones to help your team get a big leader to get the lead and then the critical block here in the closing seconds. How are you able to make the winning plays when it mattered. I just stayed with it, just far

hard. You know, my team kept fighting, they made shots, and I had an opportunity to try to win a game on the next When you weren't shooting the ball well early, you finished with ten points in the fourth quarter. What was your mindset to continue to take those shots? Miss basketball? It's eventually going to go in and just keep shooting. Just had a

championship mindset. It's not over till you know the zero zero. So for you guys to get a win on the road following the last couple of games, what could this do to help you guys continue the springboard that's going forward. Just saying how hard we compete it tonight and see how how tough it is to win NBA basketball games. You know, nobody's just gonna come out here and let you win. Everybody's very competitive. There's a lot of talent in the league, So we got to come out here and play hard.

Kawhi Leonard keeping it simple, stay with it. It's basketball. Eventually shots will drop. He had more makes was zero misses in the fourth quarter than he had in the first three quarters. You're three for fourteen going into the fourth and you still have the confidence to pull out a win like that and to make all the big shots and free throws and the big blocks late. Unbelievable. But he said something there at the end. You know other teams

are competing too, They're not handing you victories. Is that the mentality the Clippers have had ten and twelve coming into this one post Grammy road trip. Did they think they were so good that you could just walk into W's and teams were gonna lay down? Maybe maybe this was a good reminder you gotta compete, don't care who you're playing, don't care that Joe El Embiid wasn't

there. This Philly team just beat them at home and blew them out with an early run to start the fourth quarter at Crypto on Sunday, and I thought it was happening again. They had a quick five to zero run to start the fourth Maxi a jumper, Tobias Harris a three pointer, and the Clippers go from being down four to being down nine, and I thought, here we go again. They're forty five seconds into the fourth quarter. And

they just more than doubled the lead. That's what's been happening. But PG thirteen, maybe this was the biggest shot of the game, At least at that point it was. He came back with a three pointer, steadied the ship. You're down nine, bring it back to six. That's it. Keep competing, keep responding, keep battling, and like Kawaii said, championship

mindset, you don't stop fighting till the final buzzer sounds. It may sound cliche, but this team hasn't been doing it, so I couldn't be more proud of the way the Clippers came back down fifteen to win this ballgame. Coming up next, we'll have Will Updikon since he only comes on after wins. Can this be the start of something? Hey, things can turn around

quickly. The Clippers were in a rut earlier this season. They had lost the first five games with James Harden, and it took the step back game winner he had and the foul against his old team in Houston at Crypto to get them point in the right direction. Sometimes it's bigger than just this one victory. It can spill into a winning streak. That's what we want. To see some carryover. Clippers win one O eight to one oh seven thanks

to Kawhi Leonard. Late, we'll talk about it more with Will Updyke of Clips and dip here on Clippers sock on a five to seven E LA Sports. Next, the LA Clippers continue their hunt for a LARRYO B. They still want to get that Larryo bea don't miss a moment all season long. This is the LA Clippers Audio network. Kawhi Leonard, he's bringing the and one logo back that old apparel company after multiple and ones late to give the

Clippers the victory. Plus a block on Kelly Ubre game saving block. Clippers win in Philly one O eight to one oh seven. Welcome back in the Clippers stock. I'm at a Moslin. Before we get to will Updyke, let's pause ten seconds for station identification. Here on AM five seventy LS Sports, this is LA Clippers Basketball. AM five seventy KLAC Los Angeles ninety eight

seven KYSR HD two Los Angeles and iHeartRadio station. Well, well, to me, this was the blueprint for the type of victory the Clippers needed in this time of need where they were reeling, where it looked like they were letting go of the rope and letting this season get away from them. I prefer this over a blowout victory in Philly. Honestly, you need to learn how to win these type of games again and be reminded what it takes to

compete possession to possession. What say you, Oh, I agree one hundred percent. Look, even if you're optimistic, I don't think that this game had the potential to be a blowout game. Like, while it's been critical of the Sixers and their level of competition versus the Clippers, you're playing a team that's very good at home and you know, still still above the playing

team in the East. Like, I don't think that there was ever the possibility that this wasn't going to be a back and forth game barring some sort of like crazy shooting anomaly or something. I think this is what's exactly what

they needed. Agree, I agree with you one hundred percent. Look, this is the first time I feel that they've actually overcome some adversity in a few weeks, not just you know, not just battling back in the fourth, but overcoming terrible shooting performances from both Kawhi and Paul George, and I don't fault either one of them. Obviously, you know, you don't have

that much control over whether the ball's going down or not. But the way that they were able to stay committed to the game, and especially stay committed on the defensive end, I think that this was one of the just this is the most encouraging win. I feel as though we've had in kind of a while. If the Clippers do go streaking, this is the one we'll look back on and say the season flipped here, something was born tonight.

Let's hope. I'm really hoping that's the case, because I don't know how you can't be inspired after the play from Kawhi Leonard Late, who went at his former teammate and Nick Batoom for an and one with the left hand after having one with the right hand. After Philly continued to make tough shots on the Clippers, I was extremely encouraged by the fact that Kawhi didn't settle for jumpers. He got to the basket late, and part of the reason it

happened was because the Clippers went small and they spread the floor. Coach Lou pushing the right buttons, Kawhi Leonard executing out there. Yeah. Yeah, it was just absolutely great to see. And they tightened them up on the fast break in this one too. I mean, you know, it's contradicting

what I said earlier. I guess some outlier shooting performances from Kawhi and Paul George, and maybe this one is a little easier to put away, but I still like that they got in the trenches and dug this one out. And you know, James hardening his return game too. Not not perfect, just forty percent from the floor, but still fourteen assists, sixteen points.

I mean, it's not if you can get. If you can get that much out of James and a game like you got from Kawhi and Paul George, I feel very confident when the Clippers are at But like I said, it's aside from the box scores, really just that I thought the determination to win was there in a way that I haven't seen this team execute in a while. Like they were just they were really dialed in, and even if they weren't stopping everything, it just it looked a lot tighter out there.

It wasn't perfect, it wasn't pretty. They didn't play their best, but that's exactly the recipe for winning playoff games. They often end up like this and you're just a few plays better late. But you mentioned James Harden. I thought he carried them in the first half with eleven and six, with getting up eight shots on the first half. When people have said, you know, in the past and some of these moments the crowd is on top

of him, he just goes into a shell. He continued to take shots early and often, which I thought was very big for him in this ball club to not just cower because they're booing him relentlessly in Philadelphia like pretty much no other city can, and James Harden just absorbed it and played through it. Yeah, I mean, look, that's what he needs to do. And while I do think this role is complimentary to him in that he doesn't have the same amount of scoring burden thrust upon him that he has for most

of his playoff career, I mean, certainly since Houston. You look at the nets and then the seventy six ers, he doesn't have anywhere near the

level of offensive burden that he had on those teams. He is also much older, but even still just presenting somewhat of the threat completely changes the dynamics of how a defense can approach you out there and opens things up for everyone else, and let's him really exercise what I think is the most genius part of his game, which is really like his eye for the floor in his

IQ for passing the ball. He is still an all time scorer for sure, and one of the best of his generation, but with being a step slower, being aggressive as he can can help open up what I think is the best part of his game. He was diamond out there. He had some unbelievable passes fourteen assists to one turnover. I think he got Kawi his first bucket that pass between two defenders. That was That was a special performance

from James Hard. It may not look like it, only sixteen points, six of fifteen, shooting three of nine from the outside, but he really set the table offensively, and with the Clippers not getting much from their two stars, I think they were three for fourteen at the half Kawhi and Paul George, he kept them well within striking distance they're down for then PG starts to really get it going in the third, really got it going of course in that fourth quarter early on, and to me, that was the test.

They were down by nine a minute in to that fourth quarter, about forty five seconds in, and what have we seen the last couple of games, the last couple of weeks. When that has happened this Clippers team, it would just break their spirit, it would break their will. They would just give into it. They would forget that they could have a run of their own. And Paul George knocked down a three pointer, a big silencer run type of moment there. That's how I saw it. Will Yeah,

no, I agree. Look at the beginning of that fourth quarter, things didn't look locked in. Right off to that sixers will look to extend the lead. You know, I was clenched. It felt like the exact same position we've been in all like we've been in multiple times. I really want to give credit though, to Paul George, who I have been pretty critical of over this last stretch of games. I feel like when he looks disengaged,

it's really really obvious. But he was feeling it in Philadelphia to night, and it was absolutely huge in that fourth quarter in getting some momentum going back in our direction. They also two one three. They led the Clippers in rebounding. They combined for nineteen boards. They had six offensive rebounds. There were a few highly athletic explosive rebounds from each of them in the second half where they really had no business getting those boards and showing that hey,

the Clippers can rebound too. In fact, they ended up with eleven offensive rebounds to ten for the Philadelphia seventy six ers after I think they had five in the opening quarter and it looked like the same old thing with the Clippers not putting together a better effort in the rebounding department, and it took their stars to do the dirty work there. So that's a big to me too, just getting the victory in this manner. I think it's huge for this

Clippers team. But time will tell. They're in Orlando on Friday. Tip time for that one is at four. We'll have pregame at three. Will Updyke has been our guest from Clips and dip here on Clippers Talk. Will thanks for a little double dip here, my friend. Absolutely my pleasure. Let's go clip coming up next, we'll close things out. We'll hear from coach Lou, We'll hear from Oh we got James in North Hollywood. Clippers win by one. After number two Kawhi Leonard took a back seat to nobody

was the best player on the floor. Late got them the victory. More Clippers sock next Here on a five seven E LA Sports, the LA Clippers continue their hunt for a Larryo. B. They still want to get that Larryo bea don't miss a moment all season long. This is the LA Clippers Audio Network. Clippers win one eight to one oh seven in Philadelphia. Kawhi would not be denied this one. The Clippers played with that level of urgency and desperation Late the type you want to see in a playoff series. This

was the prototype. These are the type of games you have to win when things are going your way, you just find a way and by the way, City of Brotherly Love. I don't know about that. I'm looking at Kelly Oubre postgame, go up to the officials and say you will be, you will be, you will be. He used the B word. He and Nick Nurse were a hot post game. They're not like the way this one ended up for them. I don't know what Ubre wants. That was a clean block by Kawhi, at least from what I saw. James and

North Hollywood, you're on Clippers. Stop with that. I'm awesome. Was up, James. I thought Kawhi did an excellent job realizing that the threes were not going down, and so he decided it was time to drive towards the basket and with those and ones that really kept the Clippers in the game. Also, a great defensive play by Paul when he tapped the ball out and then the referees looked and finally decided that it was the Clippers ball.

James Harden made an excellent play driving towards the hoop and then pitching it out into the corner, and I think it was Poul that drained the three pointer. I think paul shooting really helped, and the defense of the Clippers in the fourth quarter led to a very successful result to give them some momentum to go to the Orlando game. I appreciate the phone call, James. I'm with you. Let's hope they need it. Can we just hear from coach Lou for a second, Just for a second, Katie, come on,

I'm telling you it's gonna line up just fine. So I pulled the curtain back. Well my end, I'll tell him how the sausage is made here. Come on. I know we got postgame audio from coach Lou the same guy rightfully, so I thought it was refreshing the brutal honesty to call his team soft after that loss to the Pacers, after that loss of Philadelphia on Sunday where they lost the exact same way, and then tonight they get their

most necessary and needed victory of the season. Here was coach with the post game. I thought, down the stretch, we did some good things with our fires, you know, just trying to get the ball in Tireeche's hands. Like I say, he's a great player and so just wanted to get the ball of his hands. And then we had opportunities where we could have been better, like you know, denying the ball back once he gave it up, like it's like four or five times. We just let him catch

it back and so now you're defensive shifting another time. A couple of times, like I said, rotations, we got to Nico, we short closed, Nico makes a big three, Buddy yeal three singles on the shot clock. We do a great job firing getting out of Tyreeche's hands. Then Buddy Yip makes a three you know, instead of making him put the ball on the ground. So those are things we can get better at. But you know, we talked about, you know, toughness and having a fight.

I liked to fight. You know. We got down fifteen points. Tough game on the first game of a road trip. You know, Nick does a great job having those guys prepared different defenses to keep you guessing, and I just like, I just like, let's staying with it, you know, attacking the paint in that second half, we went small. They matched es my going small and was able to get to the paint, get to

the get to the rim. PG really got it going in a small, small pick and roll and that was a tough, gritty win for us, and that's that's what we needed. Mm hmm. Spoken. I believe that eighteen points in the paint in the fourth quarter alone. Clippers pulled off thanks to two one three Norm Palat took a little bit from everyone, but uh yeah, Kawhi Leonard's gonna get a lot of praise for this, rightfully. So. Clippers next ball game coming up in Orlando on Friday, game two

of this four game road trip. Pregame starting at three before we get out of here. I do want to thank the Clippers organization, Ralph La'ler'brian Seeman noa ego, Carlo Jimenez on the call, Katie Newton, our producer. Back here in the bank until Friday with the pregame show starting at three. I'm at a maas and we'll talk to you then. So why he was doing his thing? All they want to do is win in La. I win. I thought they gave everything they had. I'm very proud of them.
