Episode description

NOTE: Please note this episode contains discussion of controlled eating and significant weight loss in adolescenceI was joined this week by JAN FRAN, who's a legendary journalist, presenter and host of the popular The Frant. We had an excellent conversation about how women express control under the patriarchy and a much more practical conversation about how someone might go about getting into journalism or writing. Jan had brilliant advice here about just doing "the next best thing" on your path to wherever it is you want to go. Rather than looking just at where you want to be, imagine each next best thing to do that will get you there. This is definitely the episode for young women looking for practical advice on achieving their career goals (particularly in media).

With the little sisters, we answered questions about how to break up with your high school sweetheart; how to navigate serious sexual harassment at work, particularly when it's being brushed under the carpet; and what to do when your in-laws are making the dinner table a hostile place

Next week: The one and only PANDORA SYKES will join me to talk about her new book and answer little sister questions, so submit anything you want answered to [email protected]!
