The Turn Of The Screw - Chapter 3

Tensions rise as our protagonist receives a mysterious letter from the headmaster of young Miles' school. The letter states that Miles is no longer welcome at the institution, and our protagonist is left to ponder what could possibly have led to such a decision. In search of answers, she turns to Mrs. Grose, who offers little clarity but does shed light on the past governess who met an untimely end.

As the two women discuss the enigmatic behaviour of Miles and the peculiar circumstances surrounding the previous governess, a sense of unease and curiosity begins to develop. What could Miles have done to warrant his expulsion from school? And what secrets lie in the past of the former governess?
