The Time Machine - Chapter 5 - In The Golden Age

This chapter follows the Time Traveller as he is confronted by a group of strange creatures from the future. These creatures, which appear to be of a frail nature, take him to a vast, dilapidated grey building. There, he notices peculiarities about their clothing and features, and realises that their level of knowledge is far below what he had expected.
 
He soon learns their language and discovers that these creatures are vegetarians and subsist only on fruits. As he interacts with them, the Time Traveller is struck by their gentle nature and lack of fear.
