I'm glad you liked it, thank you for watching. We had such a hard time getting that together because it was the beginning of Covid, I mean, having that many people and all the rules and everybody had to be covid tested twice a day, like it was a lot. So this year we were just thankful we wanted to bring more eyes back to the special and we also
wanted to enhance it and create something new. So joseph Kahn, who was one of my favorite favorite people, to me, one of the best directors I've ever worked with, he got on board and we have this kind of very, very fabulous deco moment and just the production value is spectacular To me, The kids are, they're my kids, we just go through a lot of different moments as a brand new song I wrote. I don't know if you've heard it fall in love with christmas, Love it. Love it. Yes,
so it's featuring Khalid and Kirk franklin. It's sort of like a love song that then leads you into a gospel moment that, you know, Kirk franklin brings to the table so easily
you
get festive work.
But what
Mariah's household like for christmas is 1000 times more festive at home. Oh no, it's totally bleak. We have no decorations, nothing, of course it's festive santa claus comes the reindeer come we go on a two horse open sleigh, like I'm not playing games, it's christmas, you're serious about it. Yes, I am. What is life without something like that? Really? I can't imagine it. Like I really love it that much, I think other people like it and they're like okay cool,
it's christmas and then we'll do something else. I'm like, I want the whole entire year for christmas but I love, I love all types of music and doing all this stuff, it's just that I truly do love the holidays. So you see all of us for feeling festive. So the theme of your christmas special is magic. If you could have one magical power, what would it be Mariah? And how would you use it every day? The theme is christmas magical came into the thing when everybody was like, oh,
magical christmas, EMC merry christmas, Mariah, Carey. Like somehow they're all m C. S right, I think the magic of it is like the whimsical childlike view of christmas when you really are looking up for santa. Like I I've had so many incredible moments where I just looked up and seen like a shooting star in the middle of like a field of snow and it's christmas,
I'm not making this up. These things make my life special, they make it different and I don't know that everybody holds onto that kind of childhood shall like quality. But that's something that I love. We love that about you, Mariah so much I want to just say before I wrap up that I host a radio show and we start playing your song on my show in july and that's the only christmas song we play.
