This week, we have Glenn filling in as our host, joined by our April co-host, Todd. We try two beers from Pipeworks Brewing Co., its Select Schwarzbier and its Velocity of Light, a Double Dry-Hopped Oat IPA. We are joined by one of Pipework’s co-founders, Gerrit Lewis.

In this episode, Gerrit shares how Pipeworks became one of the first successful Kickstarter campaigns as the brewery opened with crowdfunding. The origin of the brewery’s name is revealed, and then Gerrit shares how international travel influenced him and the other founders to open their own brewery. Our trio also discusses Pipeworks’ can art—made by local artists—as well as what running a brewery without a taproom is like before wrapping up with an outlook for the future of the brewery as a whole.
