There are many in this world who seem confused and even discouraged about the purpose of their life. Dr. Dennis Hall dispels the idea that God created man because he was lonely or that mankind filled some godly need. He discusses God's self-sufficiency and how God described himself to Moses. Dr. Hall points out that God created us because it pleased him to do so. God created us in his image, meaning that he placed within us a spirit, a soul, and the capacity to love so that he can have a relationship with us. All people have a common purpose, which is to bring glory to God. We bring glory to God by worshiping Him, obeying his commandments, and showing his love to others. Why God created man's capacity to disobey, and sin is explored. Dr. Hall points out that we exist to bring our lives into alignment with God’s overflowing, exalting soul-satisfying love. He concludes this podcast by telling the listeners that they will be restless, confused, or lacking in fulfillment until they begin living in line with God’s purpose for creating them.
