Where is God?

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, asks the question, “Where is God?” He proceeds to explain God’s all-powerful and all-knowing nature which leads us to say that He is sovereign over the universe. How man’s free will fits into this theological puzzle is explored. Dr. Hall makes the point that mankind’s free choices are just as necessary for the true sovereignty of God as His ability to enact his will whenever and however He chooses. Dr. Hall points out several reasons for us to be celebrating God’s sovereign rule. There are a number of reasons that God permits suffering which all relate to the expansion of his kingdom. God even uses suffering to wake up a sleeping church to take risks for God. Examples are given to demonstrate how suffering can serve to create opportunities to be a witness for Christ’s suffering. Dr. Hall ends the podcast with several thoughts from Scripture, concluding that the joy of suffering for Christ’s sake makes the supremacy of a sovereign God shine more clearly than all of our gratitude for any wealth.
