Episode description

Dennis Hall, ordained minister and Jeremy Dooley, Pastor of Students and Administration at North Pointe Baptist Church, Burleson,  TX  discuss whether it is ever appropriate to claim the Devil made me do it. Many are always blaming others for their actions. They discussed the origins of guilt and shame and the difference between the two. How it is necessary to take responsibility for our actions if we are going to experience guilt is part of the conversation.  The roll that guilt plays in the Christian concept of repentance is explored. The role of prayer in addressing debilitating guilt is part of the interchange. And finally they point out that moderate guilt and shame can be a good thing leading to repentance and a closer relationship with Jesus.
