Episode description

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, discusses the infinite nature of the universe using the recent discovery of the most distant star ever seen, some 28 billion light years away from Earth, to launch into an analysis of God's infinite attributes. He points out that the sum total of all actual and potential knowledge is in the possession of God, frequently called omniscience. Hall describes God's unlimited power, omnipotence, and then proceeds to outline the things that God cannot do because it is not in his will. God desires to be infinitely intimate with his followers "come near to God and he will come near to you" (James 4:8). Transcendent means that God is above all finite concepts, unfathomable and unknowable. The implications of this concept are addressed. Dr. Hall concludes the podcast by asking the listeners to worship God as though he is infinite and reigns over an infinite universe. Can also be seen on YouTube at:https://youtu.be/LQSSzJNtkIM
