Was Suspending Whoopi Goldberg From The View Justified?

Was the President of ABC News Kim Godwin justified in suspending The View Host Whoopi Goldberg for her comments the other day?

On January 31, 2022, the hosts of The View were talking about how society came to the place it is today.  More specifically, the removal or kinda removal of 2 books from some schools in the US.  "To Kill A Mockingbird" from a school in WA state, and "Maus" about a Jewish Family's experience with antisemitism and their time at the Auschwitz concentration camp.  During the host's conversation, Goldberg said, "If you're going to do this, then let's be truthful about it because the Holocaust isn't about race."  

WHAT..?  I couldn't believe what I just heard!

Let everyone know in the comments what your thoughts are.  Was it justified to immediately suspend Goldberg from the show?  Was her social media apology enough?
