Ep. 254 — Christopher & Eric’s True Crime Movie Time Presents “Des”

The second episode in a true crime pairing about one of the most prolific serial killers — and most prolific killers of queer men — of all time, Christopher and Eric finally find a true crime inspired drama that doesn’t have them scrambling for Wikipedia after every ridiculous scene. The BritBox produced DES features fine performances and impeccable production values (along with the occasional moment of wooden scripting.) But does it convey the true horror of both the cold, calculating monster at its center and the desperate chapter in Britain’s history that Des sought to exploit?
