Willfully Ignorant

The society of today would be unrecognizable to civil society of the flapper twenties, and especially those who were affected by the Great Depression. But in all seriousness, was there ever a generation of civility? A paragon of people who exuded courtesy and couth? Tact and diplomacy? These terms are only recognizable today as fond memories of yesteryear. Reminiscing on the “good ole days,” is the only way the human race acknowledges that we at one point believed and expected better from and in ourselves. But alas, it turns out no memory is better than not giving a damn.
