Life is waiting for you each day and you have to prepare for each challenge along the way towards success . It's not simple , but it can be done . Welcome to my Common Sense Motivation episodes . I'm Chris Fantastic Powell . Mr Dream keeps running and hiding .
We all have a vision of what success looks like Not someone else's version , your version , the business , the life , the legacy . But sometimes chasing it feels like chasing a shadow . Let me tell you about Sarah . She woke up one morning with clarity in her spirit . Today was the day . She had the plan , she had the mindset , she even had the energy .
Sarah sat down , wrote out her goals and mapped out a real path to where she wanted to be . She was ready , the dream she'd been thinking about for years . It finally felt within reach . But something strange happened . Every time she moved closer , mr Dream ran Not walked , not drifted , but ran .
She saw it peek around the corner of a project she needed to finish . But when she got there , gone , she saw it hiding behind a presentation she was nervous to give . She prepared , stepped up and it disappeared again . Every time she got bold , took a step and tried to execute . Mr Dream vanished just long enough to delay her .
But here's what Sarah realized and it changed everything . Mr Dream wasn't running to get away , he was running to see if she'd chase . Because dreams don't belong to the comfortable , they don't come to the lazy , they don't stand still for the uncommitted . Dreams are not hand-delivered , they are hunted down .
Mr Dream hides behind fear , behind procrastination , behind the proposal you keep putting off , behind the late night when everyone else is asleep and you still got work to do , behind that uncomfortable conversation , that leap of faith , that skill you haven't mastered yet . And if you quit chasing because he runs , you'll never catch him .
But if you refuse to stop , if you keep showing up when it's hard , if you keep knocking when the door won't open , mr Dream eventually stops running , he turns around and he begins to walk with you . So don't be discouraged . Be determined . Your dream is not gone . It's just hiding , waiting to see if you've got what it takes to go all the way .
