¶ Life is Short: The Wake-Up Call
Life is short . Life is short , it really is . We get caught up chasing success , that job promotion , that dream relationship , the business idea , the lifestyle we crave , but in all the chasing we forget the most important truth Our time is limited . Too many people wait . They wait for the perfect moment .
They wait until next week , next month or next year , and then one day they run out of time . The truth is , life is wide open for those who choose to take action . No one is stopping us , except ourselves . We build walls of doubt , fear and delay , but those walls , they're not real . We made them and we can tear
¶ Breaking Down Self-Made Walls
them down . You don't need permission to go after what you want . You don't need every answer to get started , and you don't have forever . Stop wasting time , stop wishing , hoping and dreaming , and start doing and start now . This message isn't just for you , it's for me too . We all have things we keep putting off , but time doesn't wait .
It's always moving and it's always watching . So today's reminder is simple Life is short . Pack light and smile a lot and always wear shades .
¶ The Clockmaker's Story
Here's a story the Clockmaker . There was once a quiet man named Eli who spent his entire life repairing clocks in a small shop tucked away on a narrow street . People called him the Clockmaker , and for decades he fixed the broken time pieces of others , making sure their lives kept ticking forward . But what no one knew was that Eli had a dream .
He wanted to build a clock like no other , one that just didn't tell time but also reminded people how little of it they really had . A clock that didn't tick but whispered . Now , now , now , year after year , he told himself he'd start building it after the busy season , or when business slows , slows down , or next year for sure .
But life kept going and Eli kept fixing other people's times , never starting his own . One evening an old customer came into the shop with a broken pocket watch . It's not keeping time anymore , the man said . Eli opened it only to find a note inside , one he had written to himself 40 years ago .
It read Dear Future Me , stop fixing everyone else's time while letting your own time run out . Build the clock , your time is now . Eli sat there stunned . He had written it as a reminder and forgotten it completely . That night he closed his shop early and for the next six months he worked every day and night building the clock of his dreams .
It wasn't perfect , it didn't sparkle , but it whispered every few seconds . Now , now , now , people from all over came to see it , not because it was fancy , but because it made them feel something real . Eli had finally stopped waiting , he packed light , he smiled more and he lived every day like it counted , because it did
