Episode description

Today we’re going to Brooklyn! Chris visits Pop/Street artist Wizard Skull at his Bushwick studio. Alex shares with us some of his early-on art adventures, inspirations and lessons that lead to him becoming the artist he is today.

The two also chat about his involvement with skateboard graphics, Zines, street art, inflatable art, observing the “Art Game” and social media offerings.

About the Artist:

Painter and illustrator Wizard Skull’s humorous and often raunchy riffs on cartoon characters and mascots poke fun at pop culture and commercialism. Wizard Skull transforms recognizable characters from Homer Simpson and Mickey Mouse to Gumby and SpongeBob SquarePants into hybrid mashups, squiggly portraits, and obscene portrayals of fetishistic sex acts.
