Hello, everyone, it's your big sister Cheeky's and you've reached my personal voicemailbox for the Dear Cheeky's podcast. I'm here to give you advice on anything and everything you need help with. Whether you're going through a breakup or having issues with your family, or maybe you have a question about my personal life. Whatever the case is, I want

to hear from you. Remember these are my thoughts in my opinions, and if you're suffering from a serious issue or hardship, you should seek help from a qualified professional. All right, now, go ahead and leave your message at the sound of the beeB.

Speaker 2

Hi Cheeky's, I just wanted to get on here just to say hi to you and see how you were doing. I know I had sent your messages through Instagram and ozapin that iching, but anyways, yeah, I do want you to answer me. I know you're gonna be really busy. I know you're planning to have a baby soon, so I know there's a lot of factors into it, so

I understand. But the actual question that I had right now is I seen the podcast that you made with somebody that was related to ghost therapy that you were able to connect to your mom and your stepdad in a spiritual way. And I am just I don't know. I'm just curious and I want to hear how that made you feel, because honestly, throughout that podcast, it made me freaking cry. It like I don't know, like the wind chimes how they how they rang, whenever your mom

was talking to you, like I don't know. It was just so so touching and it touched my heart and it made me cry because I felt so many emotions and I don't know. It's just something that I want to hear from you, and I just want you to know that I love you so much and keep doing what you're doing because you're awesome and you're meant to do this to get muncho.

Speaker 1

Oh Ivan, thank you so much. Okay, So those of you who don't know what he's talking about. I went on a podcast called Ghosts There Be back in April, and she basically the host of the podcast, she connects with your loved ones or people that have passed, and she connects with my mom. We got a lot of really great feedback from that podcast, and I also got some not so positive feedback, you know, from religious people, which I understand and I respect, but for me, I

felt at the very beginning a little skeptical. Maybe I don't know if that's the right word, but I was a little. And then as the conversation progressed, I felt better about it and even more and more and more, and like at the end, I felt so much peace and I let out a good cry and I felt good. I have been feeling very connected to my mom lately, so I think that that conversation happened at the perfect time.

So many things were said that I haven't told a lot of people, just very very close people, and especially people that don't talk to her. So I'm like, Okay, I don't know what's happening here, but something is happening. And I do believe obviously in the spiritual world. And I just had the conversation. I took what I needed and everything else, I just I left it there, you know. So that's kind of how I take things like that. I don't try to think more than I have to,

if that makes sense. But it definitely gave me a lot of peace and just oh, it was just like a sigh of release. But thank you for listening to that, and thank you Papah for I love it, Keep it, keep keep it going. I love it. Sending you a big hugbub okay. Second question comes from Diana.

Speaker 3

Hi Cheeky's. I know you're very big on therapy and I'm trying my best to do some healing. The only thing is I'm in a very tight budget. I live a frugal lifestyle in the process of paying off debt, and I would like to know do you have any suggestions for someone like me that cannot afford therapy? You know, is there a certain any books that you recommend, any other resources, because the only thing I can think of right now are books, but I don't know what else.

I will already appreciate your feedback.

Speaker 1

Oh, thank you so much Diana for your question, and I definitely understand. I get it. I know that therepy can be pricey, but I know that there are groups you can find near you. I don't know exactly where you live, but you can check online. There's online communities as well. Also, prayer is huge, you know, I'm huge on prayer and meditation. Good podcast like mine, you know, we love this podcast, but also I love Jay Shetty's podcast on Purpose. I love a good cry. There are

so many great podcasts. It just all depends what you're looking for, but there are amazing podcasts out there. Also. You did mention books, and there is a book that I'm reading right now that I'm loving. Okay. It's called This Is Enough by doctor Sarah Alexander and I bought it on Amazon, and it's a book but also a journal.

So what I like about it is that it's almost like a life coach, and it gives you, It prompts you to think and think outside of the box and really be honest with your feelings, and it's helping you throughout the book, and the more you journal, it's helping you figure out what is that one situation, whatever it may be, or that one person even that is causing you to get sad or angry or is triggering you in some way. So it's something that I would definitely recommend.

And another one of my favorite authors. I love all her books. Her name is Marianne Williamson. Amazing, great stuff. You can't go wrong with any of her books. And one thing that I have found that has helped me a lot. I used to do it a lot more and I'm starting to get back into it is journaling. So this book this is enough will get you started on it. But I like to handwrite things, although my hand now hurts when I handwrite because I'm so used

to my phone. So whatever works best for you, either you handwrite it or you put it in your notes on your phone. Regardless, the important thing is to let your feelings out. That will help you so much. We are the medicine. Okay, remember that. I know that. Obviously therapy helps. Of course, I'm a huge advocate, as you know this, but also, like you said, if right now is you can't afford it, then journaling will definitely help you. What I like to do is start off by writing

down the date, because it's important. I like to write down the date and the time, and then three things that you're grateful for. There has to be three things at least that you're grateful for. It could be as simple as I have a roof over my head. Someone smiled at me. I don't know whatever it is that you're grateful for that made you feel good. And I like to journal at night because I like to go through my day and then I go through Okay, was there something that made me sad, What made me sad?

How I can fix it? And in between the sadness, what made you happy? There has to be something, because it's good to let out your feelings but also compensate it with something good because that keeps your heart nice and light and with time, and the more you write, the better you'll feel. And it feels really nice to go back and read certain entries and realize, Okay, what's going on, what is it that's really triggering me? What

is happening? And how can I make myself feel better or what can I do to make myself feel better? Even if it's if it's like I always say this, self care is so good and that helps a lot. So anyway, journaling is great. Try it. And also before I let you go on Instagram, there are a lot of people that are coming out with podcasts that aren't really podcasts. They're more of like motivational videos that really

helped me. They're super short and concise and straight to the point and like something like that, like fifteen seconds, thirty seconds, like they really just put you back into gear. So make sure you follow the right pages. And also you're feeding your soul on a daily basis. With good, positive things so that you can feel better, you know. So hopefully that helps a little Diana, and sending you a big big hug and don't worry, read this too shall pass. I always tell myself that and always you

got this girl, We got this, okay, guys. So last question comes from Betty.
