I think it's a good way to keep things positive, to help steer you in the right direction if you do it right. So, without further ado, let's get right

into it. This is cheek Ease and Chill. To dig a little deeper into the whole astrology thing. I'm joined by Raquel Raise. She's the astrologer behind the website Astrology with Raquel dot com. Raquel, thank you for joining me. Okay, So first of all, Raquel or Raquel, which do you prefer? Either? I love both. I'm Axicana, so whichever you prefer, and thank you so much for having me. Oh my God,

of course I'm excited. I'm excited. Look because I was born in a Christian Catholic family, so a lot of my family don't believe in astrology, and I have always been different. I have always liked to look into different things, astrology being one of them. I also love numerology and I follow moon omens on Instagram, and I believe in the full moon and the new moon and retrograde and how it affects us. So a lot of my family don't understand that and think a lot of Latins may

not understand it. So I'm so glad that you're here with us. You can kind of help explain. So tell me how did you get into astrology? So I actually have known about astrology since I was a very little girl, watching Walter Mercado with my grandma all the time, So I've always known that I was a Virgo, and growing up, I'd always be in the grocery store sneaking in the magazine back of it, trying to find my horoscope to see what it had to say. So yeah, I always

had an interest. I also have felt very spiritually inclined, just from a very young age, probably like you, and I really started exploring astrology when I was eighteen years old. I was out on my own and was really having just a rough time in life, really trying to find my footing, trying to find my ground, and I found astrology and I realized, like you had mentioned, it's a great way to kind of keep things positive, to sort of clarify your path moving forward. And I really started

to study it initially just because I was interested. I didn't anticipate it to turn into my life and my livelihood, but it ended up developing into a real passion and here I am today. Nice. You know, it's so crazy that you mentioned now, because you took me way back. I remember him coming out on like Univision and Telemundo, and I was little and at my grandma's house, and I knew I was a cancer. And after I think watching him and he would like read everyone's horoscope or whatnot.

That's when I started getting interested. I'm like, oh what am I? And I figured, okay, I'm a cancer. So I would wait and like watch him all the time. My grandma would get so much She's like, I didn't understand it, you know what I mean? Like, I think some people just get confused, which is you know, brings me to my next question. Can you tell us about your method? How do you do readings? For instance? Yeah,

of course. So for me, when we're looking at astrology, what we're really looking at is the movement of the planets and how that affects us here on Earth and our humanness. That has a lot to do with our psychology. So I really look at astrology as a fun way to get to know ourselves and get to know each other because it reveals so much of our past, present, and future in a way that's really resonant and really accepting. So I kind of look at it as a way

to help ourselves. It's sort of this map, if you will. I almost think of it as looking at like a cheat code to life. It really has so much helpful information. So when I'm working with the clients in a session, It's really all about how can we use astrology to move life forward? Can you explain to me and also to the listeners that may not know what a chart is exactly? What does a chart reveal? It's very different and very specific for each person, correct, because it matters

what time you were born and things like that. It does. So I absolutely love the natal chart and what it is is a snapshot of where all the planets were at the exact moment of your birth. So it's based on your birth date, the location of your birth, and the time of your birth, and it is specific to you. And your chart is going to be telling the story of your past, your present, and your future. And within your natal chart you can learn a lot about yourself.

You guys, if you guys are interested after hearing this episode and you want to know a little bit more about astrology. Okay, so I've given you my birthday, time and place of birth. What have you done with the information? What do you see? Maybe we can start with the overview and then move on.

I don't know, I'm so nervous of course. Yeah. So you know, the first thing that I noticed when I'm looking at your chart is I'm saying, of course you are a cancer, your cancer son in the ninth House. And what that tells us about you is that you're a natural born leader who loves adventure and exploration of the world and the people around you. You know, you're

curious about culture, lauda sociology. I think you have like a constant thirst for knowledge and learning, and then you know you're gonna be the type of person where you're going to live your life and you're going to acquire a lot of lived experiences that ultimately shape you into who you are constantly evolving into. So you love to grow as a person. You're always looking for ways to

deepen your connections to grow. I think your nature is sensitive and emotional, but then there's this piece that comes in with you where you really protect the people that you love and really protect the things that you're passionate about. Your son's one alone is just so incredibly powerful, but for you, it really is about expanding and exploring. Yes, absolutely, I always say knowledge is power, and it's important for me to read or to find information and even to

learn new words every day. It's just a thing that I have since I was I was younger. Um, so that's crazy that you say that. And for me, everyone knows the people that I love, I protect them. My siblings are everything to me. So it's like someone says something or messes with them or or my boyfriend or something people that I love. I'm just like, so now I'm like, wait, hold on, you know, and I stand

for what I believe. I'm very like that. Like if I don't think something is right, I am all about justice. I don't know. If I see something, I'm the type to say something and say, hey guys, um, that's not cool, that's crazy. Oh my goodness. And you know, cancer is very powerful. Cancer rules the entire summer season. It's a season starter sign, so it's very very powerful. But you know, there's this other part of your personality that we see in your charge. And this is your moon sign now

that we're looking at. So we know your cancer. You're powerful, You're the nurturer and the protector, you're the explorer. Now we have this new energy coming in right with your moon sign. So in astrology, your moon sign is your inner world. It's your heart, it's your emotions, it's who you really are deep down inside. It is the part of you that sometimes you never reveal because it's so intimate and so for you, this energy is libra. And what this means for you is that you strive for

balance when things are off, you strive for peace. You want justice and situations. It's so important for you that things are equal, that there's equality. I think you know here we see that you're deeply emotional. You probably love a good mystery. There's probably that. Yes, I love forensic files. Oh, yes, you're very because you want to know why. You're very in tune with the subconscious realms, and you know what, you could even feel very psychic at times. Absolutely. Yeah,

I was going to ask you about that. I was noticing it or feeling like you received these intuitive hits all the time. And I've learned the hard way where I ignore those gut feelings or those things I feel like, especially when I'm eating right not so much meat. And this might sound weird. I don't know you. I don't know if you can relate. But when I don't eat that much meat or poultry, I I feel like and I'm having more juices and more greens and stuff like that.

I'm meeting cleaner. I feel like my intuition is crazy, Like I feel like I'm on a different vibration and I feel things and I see things before they come, and then I'm like no, no no, no, I shake it off or I ignore that feeling and then it comes invites me in the ass. So I've learned to just listen and really try to follow that feeling because I

feel like I am kind of psychic. My mom was too, big time, absolutely, and it's it's in your chart in a couple of different places, actually, So I love to hear that it resonates with you. I think looking at your chart too, it's like you are such a people person. You love being with and around other people. That's like a core value that I think you probably have is to be in connection, to be in community, to be in relationship. Um. I think you learn a lot about

yourself through your relationships too. So you go through these relationships throughout your life and they, oh my gosh, they really uncover. It's like these layers that you never would have explored without the relationship. So very relationship centric, very I do. I love to talk. I love to be

around people. I love to be around my family. And yes, I'd rather be in a relationship than not, to be honest, And a lot of times I've made the mistake of jumping into relationships too soon, um and not allowing that healing process. And I admit that, but I just feel like I just do better with a partner and I I just I am more monogamous in that way, you know. And I think it's important for you to be in relationships. You know, sometimes we we yes enter into them too quickly,

but there's lessons in that too. I think for you, the most important thing is taking time alone to recharge your batteries. Oh that is Oh yes, I always need at least a day or two where I just drive myself, I'm by myself. I need that, like I love being around people, um and sometimes to a fault because I sometimes just do need that alone time. We all need it. So for me, I've learned to just say, hey, I gotta go and just do me today. And I remember what I was going to tell you earlier in regards

to relationships. Before I used to see his relationships is oh my gosh, like that was such a bad experience, and I've learned to see it as that is a teacher, a master, and that relationship, that person is going to help me and catapult me to the next level in a relationships, it helps you learn so much about yourself and about what you want and you don't want in a relationship. So I've learned to kind of just see it differently, because yes, everyone we encounter is there for

a reason and is there to teach you something. And some people are meant to be with you certain seasons of your life and then not be there. So astrology and stuff like that has also helped me understand that. Yeah, I think that's a beautiful reflection and so many beautiful reminders in there. I think, I mean, speaking of beautiful, I think you really understand beauty. Um, what beauty is just I think you value beauty and I mean moving

beyond aesthetics. It's like you understand what it means. I think to be like a truly beautiful person inside and out, mind, body, soul. There's a different and deeper resonance with beauty. It goes like way deeper with you, um, and I think it's a really beautiful thing to see in your chart. But like, don't get me wrong, you're all about the aesthetics too and like looking super cute what you do, so that's in there too, but it goes beyond that. Yeah, it's crazy.

That's why I opened up a beauty salon because and and now, not only was it a beauty salon, but I had quote all over everywhere in every corner that you look something positive in affirmation. Um, because I'm all about like, yes, it's nice to look beautiful on the outside, but you have to really feed your heart, your mind. It always connected and I always say that beauty starts in the heart. So wow, that's crazy. Yes. And the third thing I'm looking at in your chart that I

find so compelling is your rising sign. So your rising sign, it's your energetic frequency. It's kind of like the vibe that you give off to people, Like if there was a first impression and someone meets you, it's the vibe. So for you, this is Scorpio. Yeah, and you're what we call an astrology a plutonium and plutoniums are just known to be so alluring, so magnetic, so beautiful. Um, it's the phoenix rising from the ashes as well. So you have this massive drive to transform as you move

throughout your life. So transformation is a really big keyword on your journey for you. You're extremely determined, you're motivated towards your passions, and you have this really powerful and charismatic personality that other people are really drawn to. And in some ways you might actually feel like a healer. It might be something that you step more into, you know, as you move throughout life. Yes, oh my gosh, I've

never talked about this before. It's crazy because I was a lot more into astrology when I was younger, and I feel that with time and being busy with work and just you know, doing the thing, you know, doing my thing, that I've kind of left that on the back burner and I've always failed like I could do some type of of healing work. I've thought about, you know,

chakras and stuff like that. I'm all into all that stuff, and I feel like if I'm on the right track and I'm in my higher self and doing what I need to do. Like I mean, again, it might sound silly, but even like as much as I'm not drinking so much coffee, not eating so much meat, um, not alcohol and stuff like that, I feel like all that helps you just get really in tuned with that higher and

staying centered, you know. And I've always felt that I'm gonna do something of that sort later on in life. But it's crazy. I've always felt like I want to help people on a different level, Like I feel like I'm here to help people, and I always want to be a positive influence in their life, whether it be on you know, a bigger scale, like with my music and my books and stuff, but also in my personal life.

Like I feel like everyone that enters my life, they're there for a reason and I have to help them and guide them because I feel like I'm an old, old soul, like I believe in reincarnation. I I feel like I've been here many many times. Just a lot of things just come to me like out of nowhere, and I feel it or I just kind of already know how to do it. Yeah. And you know, looking

at your chart, your past life energy is Scorpio. So when your past life energy is Scorpio, it shows many past lives in you know, esoteric or in mysticism, or in a space where you're really going with the flow of life and letting yourself use your imagination. You just have what it looks like. You know, it's like mystical depth,

it's like emotional depth. One thing about you is that I believe you have this really beautiful gift, and maybe it's something you help people with, but you have this ability to transmit your pain into something more beautiful, into something new, into something different. It's like you know how to turn pain into power. Oh my goodness, it's a huge gift. Wow, thank you. That's something that um, I've

learned and I'm learning to. For a long time, I thought I have to go through something in order to bloom, like I have to feel some type of pain, because that's what I've been used to since I can remember, you know, if it wasn't one thing or another. You know, it's almost like I know that when something bad and I'm going through a really bad moment in my life, I'm like I always think and I'm super positive and I'm like, Okay, this is happening for a reason, because

something great is coming, because a blessing is coming. And that keeps me going and it helps me, you know, stay focused on the light at the end of the tunnel. But I also have learned to say, just you know what, No, I don't necessarily have to not everything has to be hard in order for me to feel accomplished. Per se. It's been a journey, and I think life is just about evolution, and we're evolving creatures and it's just a part of it. I've learned that there's ups and downs

and it's the way it's going to be. Because if it was just always butterflies and unicorns and everything, like, I think that it would be not only boring in my opinion, but it would also be we wouldn't grow, you know, and and growing is painful. Growing pains they're real, you guys. So um, I've learned that after the rain, here comes a rainbow, you know, like that saying it sounds cliche, but it's true. It's just you can really turn. And I always say pain is a pastor promotion, So

learning to just see it that way. So that's that's crazy that you say that, because it's true. That's I'm like, it's okay, guys, hold on. I always say hope, h O p E hold on, pain ends. That's what hope is, guys. So just y, I I love that. Since we're in a new year, what do you see or what is this year looking like for me? My love life, career, money, friendship, all that good stuff. Of course, so I'm excited for your Oh yeah, you have three highlighted points and they're

going to be career, relationships and love and adventure. Okay, nice. So with career, um, this spring, you are going to be starting a new twelve years cycle in your life, and you're going to experience new influence and new abundance in a way that you maybe haven't felt since two thousand and ten. Okay, yeah, So I'm not sure what life was like back in two thousand and ten, but you're setting a new cycle for the next twelve years

and career. Wow, that that's crazy because two thousand nine I kind of started stepping into out of my mom's shadow and into like my own career of reality and kind of just being the one behind the cameras. I started stepping in front of the cameras, and then I started my own reality show. And it was just that's crazy that you're saying that, right. Wow, Oh God, I was wondering. I was wondering what looks like for you? So, I mean, you just did twelve years of that cycle.

So you should be so proud and just totally honor where at because you've done a lot at twelve year cycle, it's a full Jupiter cycle. They say, if you've done anything for twelve years, it makes you an expert, you know, So you should be so proud. Oh I got my doctorate degree. Oh my god, yes, my PhD. In life yes, absolutely, no, lived experiences everything. And I think this year, this is the year that you really assert yourself into the world and you show people who you really are, like who

you really are. Um you know, your life's calling is going to be illuminated for you not once, not twice, but many times in two And what you're going to feel probably is this desire to perform from the heart, to really share your inner world, possibly for the first time ever in a way that maybe you never have before. Wow, that's exciting. I think it's so exciting. And you know in two you have what we call in astrology, it's

called a notal a turn. It's a really special time in your life where everything moves in the direction of your highest calling, so you're guided towards your mission in life. Now, this would have happened back when you were eighteen or nineteen years old, and what it's going to feel like

the second time around. It's not that the same things will happen, but it's almost like this energy of you've acquired almost nineteen years of lived experience, and so now these events that are faithful and kind of feel karmic. New experiences are going to come to the forefront, and you're gonna have these beautiful awakenings like what do I want? What type of evolution do I want to take place? And you're going to grow exponentially towards your next level.

It's like this inevitable change that we go through. During this time, you are going to receive so much clarity and it's going to bring you this really deep resonance. Um. It's also another time where like achievements might be recognized in a really big way. It's like all your hard work is finally going to pay off. It's this really beautiful experience. My god, I'm getting chills. Yeah, and then it'll happen again when you're fifty five. Oh that's cool, Okay,

It's something to look forward to absolutely. And then you know, with relationships and stuff, so building relationships and important connections it's that's also part of your calling in this lifetime. So since you're being called towards your life's mission, love is a really big part of the story. And I think that the way you ritualize your love life is going to change. Maybe you and your partners start doing

things together, start doing mind, body, soul techniques together. Um, your shift is going to focus into what feels really good for you, guys as a couple, what feels really good for you and your partnership and love, and not what people say should feel really good, but like what actually feels good for you. So it's gonna be a lot about forging your own path being unique. Another thing is you might lean into like dancing and the arts and music and spirituality, or you might in just be like,

you know what, I'm going with the flow. Nice. I need that. I need to just go with the flow. Sometimes we want to have control and we want to control everything, and it's just you know what, just let it be, you know, Like, I really it's crazy because I want to take more trips this year. I want to actually have two big vacations, so adventures in there, like you had mentioned, this is exciting, guys. Adventures totally a part of your story. In two, you're in two.

If you can picture it, I can picture it for you. You're gonna be living in excitement, like living on the dream. You're gonna be wanting to explore, and it could be physical travel, but it can also be travel of the mind. So learning new information. I see you just like devouring information, whether it's like learning something super valuable or learning more about culture and community or spirituality. I could totally see you doing that. But you're you're not gonna want to

sit still in two. Okay, Well that's fun. I love it. Yeah, I'm all about learning and growing. So that's that's awesome. And this is what I love about astrology because it just kind of sets the tone of good that we're doing this now the beginning of the year, the top of the year, because it just helps you like focus on these things that you've told me, and it's it's just it sets a nice positive tone to the rest of the year. And many people are like, oh, it's

just mental. Well yeah, it is. Like it's the law of attraction and I'm going to attract all these things that Raquel said because I want them to come. So yes, yes, you are on a spiritual voyage of beautiful self discovery in two and there might be some like other changes that you have to just like little things like you might functuate your space or like move all your furniture, do a little remodeling, like you might do some changes

in that way. But ultimately, it's like every time that you awaken your mind or you travel or you explore, you're gonna feel abundance. And it's a year where I think maybe external circumstances in the world could still be chaotic, but for you in particular, you're going to be finding in your triumphant joy in the year ahead. Yes, because I know that there are some things that, um we're going to be dealing with, you know, things that are inevitable as far as you know, in my personal life

with maybe some family or whatnot. But I told myself, I want to really stay centered and focused within and not let that outside noise and chaos affect me and bleed into my inner peace, you know, because I've done that so much in the past and it just really takes a toll on everything. So that's that's good confirmation. It would be all right, it will be It'll be more than all right, you're gonna have an amazing year. Kill. Could you walk us through the characteristics for all the signs.

Let's start with the air sign, then we can move on to water, Earth, and fire. Of course, so air signs. If you're an air sign, you're a Libra, Aquarius or Gemini. You are thought based. You're an excellent communicator. You're going to be the ideas person in the group who likes to lead with mindset and intelligence, great observers and quick witted. If you are a fire sign, your aries Leo or Sagittarius. You are action based, so you're all about going for it.

You're gregarious, you're assertive, your fiery, You're going to be the life of the party, and you're the visionary of the zodiac. Now for the water signs out there, you are Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces. You are a feeling based person who is very emotionally centered and you like to feel your way into everything, into decisions, into friendships. You love to go deep beneath the surface, and you're very intuitive.

And as for the Earth signs, if your Earth sign your Capricorn, Virgo or Taurus, and you are results driven. You like to see those tangible results. You're also assertive but earthy. These are the go getters of the zodiac who love to help build it and perfect everything that they touch. Oh, I love this, love it. Um. Do you have something for like each sign, like a little something you'd like to give them for the year? And

absolutely so. In the Year of everyone's going to kind of experience a couple of different shifts in life, a couple of different changes. So if you're Aries, you're gonna experience growth in spirituality and your identity. If your Tourists, you're gonna experience growth in your friendships and mysticism. If your Gemini, you're going to experience growth and career and community. If your Cancer, You're going to experience growth and adventure

and your influence in the world. For Leo's, you're gonna grow with your resources and your knowledge. Virgos are going to grow relationships and their power to manifest. Libra are going to grow beautiful self love and deeper connections. Scorpio are going to grow pleasure and routines in their lives. Sagittary Us will grow intuition and romance. Capricorn will grow in communication and get very very stable, Aquarius will develop new self esteem and consciousness, and Pisces will grow in

identity and wealth creation. Thank you, Raquel, there you have it, guys, that's so awesome. I think it's good to know what to expect for the year. That way, you kind of just know how to carry yourself for certain little changes that you can make, you know what I mean. So I hope that did help, Raquel. I super appreciate that. So a lot of people don't believe in the language of cosmos, Raquel, what do you say to them? I say, it's not something to believe in, it's something to enjoy,

you know. I like to really differentiate all the time. I used to be honest with you. When I first started studying astrology, I didn't like a lot of what they said about virgos. You know, it didn't all land for me. And so I really invite people to take a deeper look, maybe find astrologers who really align with your core values. The astrology that you're receiving is only as woke or informed as the astrologer educates themselves to be.

And there's so much astrology out there, so there's different types of astrology, and I think that there's something for everybody. I agree, Thank you, Thank you so much. I love how you put that raquel. How do you use astrology to help people? M I love that question. So one of the things that I love about astrology is that it can really help us experience self acceptance and to really help us understand ourselves in a way that we

might not naturally. And within that, I think that we then are equipped with the ability to have that same understanding and acceptance with each other. So instead of using it as a way to like categorize or generalize or like a geminize this or scorpios this, I actually really like to use it to help people connect with each other, to find that common ground, to find out that, like, we're all human at the end of it, and to

recognize that we do have a lot in common. And astrology can also help us recognize that we have a lot of differences, and that's another way that we can bond and connect. So that's how I like to use it to help people. No, yeah, I completely agree, because, like I said earlier too, I follow moon omens on Instagram and I love a lot of the stuff that

they post. It's helped me a lot, and I like to share on my Instagram, but I also look into horoscopes, especially when I'm in a relationship, because sometimes to say you're not compatible, But what if you can be compatible just because you know what that person is like, what they don't like, or how they are. I don't take things so personal anymore now that I know, and I ask, hey, what's your horoscope? That way I know how to understand them,

you know what I mean. So that way we can just coexist versus saying I'm not compatible with you because apparently my boyfriend he's a gemini and I'm a cancer, so we're not compatible. Yeah, but I'm like, you know what, he is healthy. I think we all have the unhealthy and healthy parts of ourselves obviously, and we have to just feed that healthy part of us every single day. And he, I like to say, he's a healthy Gemini. I understand him, and I know how to make him

happy and what makes him upset. So I just kind of stay in those lanes and we're good, you know. And it's worked out great, honestly, because we're both on the same page. But anyways, so, what's the biggest misconception about astrology Riquel. So I talk about this a lot, and I love that you just brought it up. But one of the biggest misconceptions is that we are not

compatible with certain signs. I have this firm belief that we can make it work with quite literally anyone of any zodiac sign, whether that is in friendship and love, in family connections, in any way that we connect. I think that any sign can be compatible with any sign.

And I always like to remind people that we have our sun sign right, like, so, you're a cancer, I'm a Virgo, but we actually have a whole entire chart beyond the sun sign that tells the story of our lives through the planets, and when we look at that, we're really getting a deeper look. So knowing that there's a little bit more to it, going deeper than the sun sign, all of that is super helpful as you're

trying to enjoy astrology. I'm telling you, the one that's more into the astrology and depth is my brother Johnny. He's twenty years old, but he checks all of our charts and knows all about it and everything. So I just found out. I'm like, oh, you have your moon sign and you're rising and all these things that I wasn't aware of, And he's really brought me to a different side of things because again growing up, but we

weren't really allowed to read our horoscopes. If my grandma or my mom saw us do that, it was kind of like no, because it was against our religion. And I think people get confused with astrology and how to use it versus you know, it's because it's so different. It got like and you know, whoever wants to whatever, it's everyone, that's your life. I'm not anyone to judge, but I think people confuse astrology and white magic and black magic and all these things that I feel do

exist because they do. Like goold exist, bad exists as well, and it's just it's thinking of the yang and it's just something that's part of life. But I always was brought up to like it's just a bad thing. It's it's a bad thing to do, and you shouldn't follow those things and why do you want to know your future? And I see it as why not just use it in a positive way like we've been talking about, right, Yeah, And it's a huge misconception to that astrology has any

type of religious association at all. It's actually built on astronomy, psychology, math, and ancient metaphysics at its foundation. At its base. Yes, so I'm so glad. This is why I was like, it's perfect for you to be here, so you can explain that. I'd like to leave you with a little bit of motivation. You guys know my motivational mondays, my little quote, and I want to do one in Spanish, you guys this time, so here we go. Me Okay, I love this quote. I'm gonna tell you why I

always say this. You guys, don't look at anyone else as competition. You are your own competition. You are here on your journey, and I feel like astrology is part of that, like kind of just to help you and navigate through the day, through the week, through the month of the year, and just stay in your lane, staying focused, you know, staying focused on what you can do better, how you can be better, the best version of yourself, without looking anywhere else, because that some times distracts you

and doesn't allow you to focus within. So anyways, that's why I chose this particular quote for the day. And Raquel again, thank you so much, thank you. And before we go.
