After his playing career at Alabama ended, Danny Ford would become the youngest Head Coach in history to win a National Championship when his 1981 Clemson Tigers knocked off Nebraska in the Orange Bowl. Through his career his teams beat squad's coached by the likes of Joe Paterno, Woody Hayes, Vince Dooley, Barry Switzer, Bobby Bowden, and Tom Osborne.
