Episode description

Months of progress in the United States has been overshadowed this week by a resurgence of COVID-19 cases, with areas of the South and West experiencing their first strong wave of cases. Earlier this week Texas Children's Hospital announced they are admitting adult patients to help with surge capacity in Houston. As pediatric providers, we are considering ongoing PPE preparedness for an unknown future, what the latest literature is telling us about the virus in kids and what a vaccine or treatment option might look like. In this our 15th COVID-19 podcast, we will delve into these topics and more as we unpack what we've learned about COVID-19 in pediatrics with Dr. Sam Dominguez.

Today we are fortunate to be joined once again by my un-official Charting Pediatrics co-host, Sam Dominguez, MD. Sam is a pediatric infectious diseases physician at Children's Hospital Colorado and Professor of Pediatrics and Infectious Diseases at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
