Plastic surgery conjures up associations with cosmetic and aesthetic improvements, often in the name of vanity. However, plastic surgeons play an important role in pediatrics for addressing congenital defects, post-traumatic deformities, skin infectious and benign and malignant tumors. Dr. Mason is the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Children's Hospital Colorado and is Visiting Associate Professor of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
