Maid is an American drama streaming television limited series inspired by Stephanie Land's memoir Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother's Will to Survive, created by Molly Smith Metzler, that premiered on Netflix on October 1, 2021.

Alex Russell, a domestic abused single mom, leaves her abuser with her two-year-old daughter to a shelter and gets a job cleaning houses at Value Maids.

Alex deals with raising a young daughter, an abusive ex-boyfriend, dysfunctional family, and government assistance in this story of a writer trying to get by.
