Bansi Mehta is an accountant in practice dealing with taxation, accountancy and valuation of mergers and acquisitions. He is a former president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the former chairperson of the Education Committee of the International Federation of Accountants. He is a graduate in commerce and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is a director on the boards of several prominent Indian companies including: Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited, IL&FS Investment Managers, National Securities Depository Limited, SBI Capital Markets,Proctor and Gamble Hygiene and Health Care, Sasken Communication, Pidilite Industries, Atul Limited, Bharat Bijlee,Century Enka, Ceat, Clariant Chemicals (India),J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Sudarshan Chemicals Industries and Gillette India.
