I mean, they’re not entirely bad. They’re just not my favorite. And here’s why: budgets just feel restricting. When you look at a budget there’s guilt, shame, frustration and desperation. And all those feelings just lead to a bad relationship with money. So today, I want you to change your mindset and consider using a money plan instead of a budget to reach your life goals. And right now you’re probably thinking, “But Kylee! Budgeting is the silver bullet of personal finances, you can’t just throw it out the window! And what the heck is a money plan anyway?” A money plan is just about making extra income to reach your goals, rather than penny pinching and saving up with the leftover money you have in your budget. With a money plan, there’s empowerment, excitement, hope, action, and inspiration. Good feelings around money. If I budgeted for a $4000 hot tub, it would take me $333 a month for a year BUT if I used a money plan, I could figure out what else I can offer or do to increase my monthly income, I can do it in less than 4 weeks. Going after income goals is MUCH more fulfilling than penny pinching to reach your dream life. I break it all down in today's episode!
