148. Special Effects (1984) - Part 2

We close out Larry Cohen Month with the rest of our discussion on the less-than-stellar Special Effects. It's a movie that wallows in sleaze and wears its love of Hitchcock and DePalma on its sleeves. It's a bit too meta for its own good in ways that don't totally make sense, and it also wants us to care about Keefe, the dumbest man on the planet (this might be the film's biggest crime). Still, it's a fun discussion and we still love Larry Cohen, despite this misstep.
