Transcript

Wait, who is this, please? Rain Wilson the actor. Now I would have assumed, sir, that people would be like, hello, is this Renee. We have mister rain Wilson on the line. We're gonna patch you through. But you just call yourself. That's very nice. I do it myself. I'm old school. Yeah, it's so nice to chat with you. Listen, I'm gonna we're obviously going to talk about your incredible show

that's gonna be at the toyto Oakdale Theater tomorrow night. Uh May. But I met you on a couple of occasions when I used to do junkets, and one of them was for of course I don't remember, know the Uma Thurman and my super ex the girlfriend though, oh yeah, oh my god, that's a long time ago, I know. And I got a chance to sit in a room with you and chat with you and do and it was just and you were so lovely and so unassuming and just like one of

the decent I get to meet a lot of people. I'm very blessed in my career, but you're just, if I may say, from the times that I've met you and seen you and other internet, you're just such a genuine, decent human being. It's just nice to have you back on the line. That's very kind. Thanks, but save all the compliments for live on the air please. Oh all right in three two one, ladies and gentlemen, Rain Wilson, Oh my gosh, listen, it's a live conversation

that you're going to be having at the toy to Oakdale Theater. A plus A screening of the Office is going to be Wednesday, May eighth. I'll have all the links and everything up for that. But what inspired this tour that you're doing. Well, you know, just really demand. You know, wherever I go, people are just want more office stuff. There's now office conventions around the country and office meetups and stuff like that, and so we thought it would be a good idea to try a screening. I mean,

we've already sold more than a thousand tickets. It's going to be a huge crowd. There's stuff for sale, there's gonna be a Dwight lookalike contest, there's going to be a Q and a section the IP experience, and you know, just office fans are rabbit and just want to give them more

office experiences. I can't tell you I'm not one of those. I'm not very good at quoting movie quotes, some of them like the I guess maybe the Bigger Ones or whatever my husband is and I don't know anyway, but I am able to quote Office The Office, because I just loved that show and I think it resonates even today. Let me hear some quotes. What are your favorite quotes? Oh, don't ask me now, Like I don't even know. I don't even I can't right now now, I fail hashtag

hashtag fail fail, immediately fail, immediately fail. No, I'm not. I can't. Like I just it has to be like in the moment, or I'll remember, like a situation, or like the jokes that Jim did to to Duy. It's just like, I don't even know. I can't. I can't play. I'm not good at these kinds. Again. I suck at drinking games. I suck when I get put. I'm a DJ for thirty five years. Don't even ask me a song right now. I can't. I can't work under pressure. But I'm telling you I love.

What is a Bruce Springsteen song about a moving body of water? The Tunnel of Love? No, it's the river. Well, besides the Riveride, and also I work on the river. Do you see how I'm not good? I'm not good. Yeah, I'm sucked, really bad. It's really bad. But I'm a fan of yours, so you should be nice to me. So now listen, Okay, I will throw it back to one of my favorite movies on the planet that you were in though, and I

don't even know. I bet you I would. I don't. Well, I'm sure people would bring this up to you, but you probably wouldn't see this coming. But I love Rob Zombie so much, and the fact that you're in House of a Thousand Corpses and that I know this information and retain

it is amazing. That was my third movie I did. I came to LA I did Almost Famous and Galaxy Quest, and I played small parts in those movies, and then I got a lead in this crazy horror film House of a Thousand Corpses, and uh somehow I did auditioned and lucked into it and Rob and we got along. And you know, that movie lives on just like the Office does. Some thousand Corpses fans are are just as rabid

as Office fans. I that movie I'll never forget. I made a friend go with me to the theater, and then they looked at me differently afterwards. I'm like, but I love from Safie. I love this movie. So it was it was awesome. Right now, are you allowed to say what episode of the Office you're going to play? Is it going to be snippets? Is it going to be an entire episode? Could just sort of run our audience down the way it's going to go? I was, I

was so afraid you were going to ask me that. I can't. Okay, I forget the name. I forget. Oh wait a minute, Wait a minute, sir, Are the tables now turned? Are there? Are there? Are that because of me? See? Because now you're married? Hold on, no, you're looking it up. I don't. I'm out of the office. Hold on, stop talking for a second. I know it's hard talking about one. Checkon. You have to stop decaffeinate yourself. I just quoted the Office. I said, Oh, how the turntables?

I know? This is fantastic. All right, we're screaming Season four, episode five, launch party, in which Dwight tries to sell more paper in one day than the company's new website. That is the episode. There's it's going to be q and a behind the scenes stuff. VIP tickets are available for a post show photo op. I don't know how much those are, but you can. You can find the tickets on Live Nation Toyota Oakdale Theater tomorrow night, seven thirty. I want to see you Connecticut and Renee Dino.

I know there, oh you know listen. I love inside jokes. I just still I definitely see what it's a quote. Never mind, that was pretty good. Thank you for good But first and foremost so too, I do want to talk quickly because I know we don't have a lot of time and we have to wrap up because I know you're doing interviews and things like that. But I do want people to go out and see this. But I also want to give you an opportunity because you your career is more

than the office. I mean, you've really never stopped working, and I love that you can reinvent yourself just a little bit. And may I say you with like a beard and like a lot of hair around your face look like a serial killer in a good way and a very different person. Because it's like one of these times were I forgot we were watching my husband and I and I was like I think that's Rain Wilson. He's like, that's not Rain Wilson. I'm like, I think it is. We had to

like google you and like, oh my god, that's Rain Wilson. So like you could you could rob banks and not get recognized. I feel so you've already compared me to a serial killer and a bank robber. I love that because that's what I aspire to. I do apologize. You know, listen, listen, Renee, Listen, Connecticut, listen to the River. I'm just an actor. I was in New York City for ten years doing theater before I did The Office. I did dozens of roles before I played

Dwight. I've done a good dozen or two roles since playing Dwight. And I'm just an actor. This is the one role that kind of took off. But you know, there's been lots of other stuff that I get to do, and I'm just so grateful. I mean, if you get a career in doing something that you love, like you having a radio show and being able to babble incessively, thank you. I deserve that. Then you know we've made it right. So yeah, I've got a new movie coming

out next month. Actually, with Robert de Niro. It's called Ezra and it's about an autistic kid on a road trip with Bobby Cannabali, a great actor, and it's a fantastic movie. It's heartbreaking and funny and moving. And I'm really excited to be a part of that. And I've got a new book sold Boom that came out about spirituality. I've got a new soul Boom podcast you can check out that follow that podcast to have the probing,

meaningful conversations about the human experience. I got a lot of I've got a lot of irons in the fire, and someday maybe I'll turn into an actual serial killer or bank Robert, all right, Well that when you say it like that, I hear what you mean. It sounds wrong. I just

meant as an actor. That's probably you know that. I feel like this is terribly but I am a huge fan and I do want people to go and see you, and I hope that if I go there tomorrow and see this, that I'll get to shake your hand because we are huge fans. And of course I want to make sure people know that all the links and everything, you can still get tickets. You can even walk up day of show tomorrow to the Toyta Oakdale Theater. This is going to be a fun,

fun night. A live conversation with Rain Wilson, of course, the screening of the Office and Ray. Thank you for joining me. I really appreciate you, Renee. It was so nice talking with you, and I hope you do come and I would love to see you. Make sure you get backstage or sneak backstage or do something. Would love to shake your hand and say Hi, I know people. Maybe I'll make it happen. All right, I'll see tomorrow, I'll see all right. Sound good bye bye,
