Episode description

Sermon: How to study the Bible

When it comes to the things of God, a serious approach is required and just like we sit up for our academics, the Word of God is worth much more attention.
Nehemiah 8:1-8

And here are ways you can improve your approach to studying the Bible:

🔸Show interest and reverence for the Word of God.
You have to take interest in studying the Bible. Also, note that you cannot master what you have not deliberately learnt.
So, to know the Bible, you have to devote yourself to reading it.
You can also join accountability structures/communities to help you.

🔸Learn to take interpretations seriously.
Reading is great. The right interpretation is also important.
Interpretation is your defense against error as two strategies the devil deploys against believers are “Incomplete Information” and “Incorrect Application”.

🔸Memorize Scriptures.
This is a tradition that should never be in your past.
You have to know the Word of God well to be able to vet what is not right or what is almost right when the Devil presents them.

Starting today, create structures e.g bible reading plans (You can take advantage of our devotional app @t30devotion for this) that ensure that you are consistent in reading the Word of God daily.
