In the Old Testament, access to God followed a strict protocol.
Israel was the first nation God called His own. Despite their imperfections, God still gave them His law and chose them as His people. But even within Israel, not everyone had access; God chose people by grace.
But now, through Christ, the veil has been torn. The old protocols are no longer barriers. We have direct access to God, not by lineage, but by faith.
He is God to everyone, but Father to us.
