Pete Hegseth, Trump's pick for defense secretary who is also embroiled in controversy, met with senators Thursday to get them on board with his confirmation despite dealing with sexual assault allegations of his own. Eye on America- African Americans make up about 14% of the U.S. population, but only less than 6% of doctors. In hopes of seeing that percentage increase, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg donated $600 million to all four HBCU medical schools.
