Have you ever make a mistake?.... Like forgetting your child's name? It happens, and it did on our last episode when one of our hosts, Garrick Cline mentioned all of his children by name except for one!
DA-DA-DUUUUMMMM!!! (Que: woman screaming, scary music and other ominous sounds...)
This is what is so weird about podcasting... it's recorded. When we're just conversing in our natural habitats, something can be said (or not said) and it floats off into the ether... unless you or your conversation partner(s) remember said or not said quip, word or phrase... it's just gone and forgotten about. The conversation moves on without a second thought.
However, when you record said ridiculousness, it lives forever and is dissected, discussed and scrutinized for the entirety of existence!!
Well, that may be a slight exaggeration, but that's how it feels when you realize that in the middle of conversation you never mentioned a child by name... except you realize that AFTER the episode was recorded and you cannot change it.
So... enter this minisode which we should have titled, "Confessions of a crazy father."
