So um, if you're wondering why this episode Sounds like garbage like us. It's because Eric and I are both sick. Don't Panic. It's not, it's not the covid. It's just it's just the poorly
timed Autumn cold. Yeah, I suppose it is, I was really sick last week and then right around like when our normal work recording days talking not only to talking like hurt but like my throat would close after I said, the first couple thing. Anyways, it sucked. So that's why we oppose that last week, and now this week, okay? See, I have the same illness but a week behind so we did we knew we're like we missed two weeks in a row or never making a podcast again and obviously HD.
But so so so ordered to make it. So that the year we have spent building this podcast doesn't crumble because two of us got sick week over week, we decided we decided that we would just do like a really informal episode on because it's sort of like ice I really like the mid-season finale kind of what happens right here and I have no idea, 15 episode 1 million, 1 million billion. We also, I can we just came off of a whirlwind of a past couple time units.
Been a very, very fun and enjoyable, and just all together, strange. Couple of months. Yeah, welcome to the retrospective, dude. I don't have that sound effects, but in your mind, you know, like when Like the Chimes chime and then it's like a yeah, I'm getting. Like they do. Do that in Wayne's World? Yeah, I must think I'm the Garth Garth. Yeah, I guess I don't know. I mean, I think Wayne is more like energetic and well, but he's also like, I feel like Garth is sort of, like, the
strange one, you know? I don't know. I think I feel like we think if we ever cosplay if you'd have, okay, here's my question. Of us destroyed which one of us is our village. Oh man. I'm kinda think I can do. Think I was a bit of I think of it. I think I'm Troy. I think I'm Troy. That's, I mean, I'll take it. I think we have we both have elements of both but ultimately like, come on, come on, come on, come on. I mean, come on. I I do have a Holodeck in my house. So that's true.
It's you do. Is that the room does that the room? The door. We never open. Yeah, that's what's in their holiday. It's not. What's it called? What do they call it? The crematorium? Up in our closet. So oh yeah. You literally do don't act like I don't have a holiday. I forgot about it. You totally do anyway. So so what are we did we do we went to fragment hon, went to Dragon Con, which is great which is what was what was your ear owners bugs in this water.
Eric, I drunk drink. The buck protein think about what is a magic bug. It's magic. Do you want to eat it? That's fine. But we did some panels there. It was cool. What's your favorite panel? Um, I honestly I really Like to neurodiversity a gaming table, which you can watch on YouTube if you want to check it out. Oh, yeah. DragonCon posted all of their bods and stuff. 06, oh, yeah. So I think it's available still, but it was a really, really good panel. We had two amazing guests.
Shout out to horse girls podcasts and they were just, they were so good and it, I just I really feel like that pain all like, I don't know. It just went really well. I was really proud. Yeah, well I mean it's here's a little well I'm wow. Oh my gosh, I was about to excuse myself. And I was going to excuse myself for excusing myself and it ended up just a bunch of syllables coming out. Anyways, I feel like it really. It really scratches the that panel really scratch the itch of
like the mission. I guess. Like the mission being like to promote acceptance and education about nerd of urgency. Gradually. Actually turn like 30 people away. Yeah she's bananas. And and it just really felt like yeah like this is why we're doing it. Like it is Is to try to like talk about that stuff and hopefully have an impact and make interesting cool people who also want to talk about that kind of stuff. Well, speaking of interesting cool people gencon gencon.
Yes, it was fucking chicken was fucking well I got The Vibes. Jen Cotter. Just like a Mac. It was like it was so much fun and there's so much space. There is a space like everything at DragonCon Dragon was great but everything was just close to get. I mean not as close together as well because of social distancing and like it was it was half capacity.
Everything so like, It wasn't like literally shoulder-to-shoulder cramped but it just felt like everything you did was like, you had to duck your head or something like that. We're Gen Con was like a huge convention space. Like if you need a place to sit, there were places to sit you know it was much I don't know and come back to play D&D and invented an entire religion. I did do that. Yes. Would you like to tell that story for the people?
I don't really know what the story is but basically Katie and I played D&D with Quincy. Cavern James James Brown baby Merrill and lightbox. No lightbox know and I'm Deanne way. Thank you. I'll just say everything that you're going to say and it was forgetting. I was incredible. I mean well one it was titled. Tick-Tock Stars play D&D. I was like hmm. Okay but it was it was just absolutely fantastic and my character is the first time I played D&D. Not as wonkin for one.
Yeah. Weird, but my character was cashish P. Don't worry about it. And this whole thing was chastised, was going to be a quite a No-No xuan fellow but actually talk more, if an idea quite a dark past but he also had a basket and that basket snot for holding its friendship, and the basket quickly became the entire thing. The entire show, like, about this basket around at this basket concern for this traffic, Characters were sacrificing themselves for this basket.
Like it was. Yeah, it was such a problem is lovely. It was nice. And it was so much fun, that was awesome. It was a sort of a sentient basket that had a wild magic apples in it. Yeah, while magic apples great time, I had, you throw me at a giant monster and then took a bite of the wild magic apple as we flew at it to hopefully turn into a giant octopus. I didn't I turn into a crystal you did, but you saved the day turning into that girl.
But I did see the new. So I'm just going to say, This you as your friend. And somebody who cares about you very much, Eric, that was goddamn good. Dandy. Hey, thanks for the soup, really crashing to. I'm really proud of you, but he was great. Everybody was super nice.
It was really nice to meet all of them because I've been looking up to like, well, I mean, friggin Quincy's Tavern, he was like one of the first graders I thought on Tick-Tock like, you know, like walked on the screen I was like, this is an account. Like yes, please. This is the kind of Your World. It was great.
It was really nice to me. We have some testing and then we got back and I think we had like two days before all of a sudden I woke up and my throat was wretched and it was I won't get into details. I was sick, conk, conk run, that's what that's that's what it's called when you get a cold right after convention, indeed. And then both of my feet stops working very well. Yeah, I can still kind of walk but I'm really worried about feel like you're glossing over
that one. Well, I guess I know I am I have a podiatrist appointment later this month or next month, but yeah, I'm definitely. Close to not being able to watch. I mean, I don't know. It got it flares up and goes back down when it's really bad. It's, yeah, it's hard to walk at all. I know. But, I mean, I'm, you know, I'm doing all the things that are needs to go into the doctors and stuff, and the x-rays and all that's happening.
So, and if you don't take care of yourself, I will beat you. So, don't don't do that. Right in the feet, bring the feet. Fiction, are you punching the tops of my feet? I was very like handmaid's tale. Which is a, like, a really dark reference. What are they? Slap? Their feet. It's I'll tell you off of the particles. I mean a very dark joke just that I'm sorry. It's I was picturing.
I was picturing like me on my back with my feet in the air, like I'm a baby getting changed and then you're like, just punching my / D like that, like boxing training. That's so that is very silly. I feel like I can't decide of that particular not Think it would tickle. I don't think I don't know, does anything. I feel you, Katie's currently pretzeling ourselves Haitian. What's the punch? My freedom?
If so, then we are next convention is frolic on speaking of beating people in the feed, huh? Frolic on. So it's gotta be at least one person's thing there. One, at least at least one. You think. Least one because I mean, I know like foot fetish it's totally a thing. But like yeah. Foot like beat like, I don't know. Impact play with. I've got a thing where if you if it's for those of you unfamiliar with twitch like the money in twitch is B. So like you, it's like one bit is 1 cent and so people can donate B during extreme and I have it so that every donation of bits between 100 bits and 320 B spawns a random table or NPC from Minecraft. And one of those mobs is the dragon, the Ender Dragon. And so people are having fun looking for this. I've little doodoo lead ads but
actually really dead. So when somebody finds it, are you going to move it to a new location? I don't know. I can figure something, I guess I can like a moon location. Yeah. But you know, no. Like I feel like, oh, it feels like old news at that point, you know? Well, no, because then you can have like a running list of people who've discovered the Ender Dragon. Well, it's true. Yeah. Like the, like a cool wall. Yeah. Well, Fame employee of the month. Okay, that's fair. Yeah.

Yeah and what that was like before it was on Twitch and everything so I'm like okay but yeah anyway it's going really well. I have a lot of fun. We have a really really like awesome crew of regulars who have come out like a morning.
We like hanging out showed all of you know you are so you know who you are eggs in the chat and it's just it's the best thing. It's the best thing is so cool. It's really nice. Well, yeah, because I will, we agreed to so many of these, when we sort of went and things are on the up-and-up, we're like ah, vaccinations are on the rise, it's great. And then Delta very and happens is happening. And so the assumed trajectory was now not the center. So now we have to like go back and like really comb through. And make sure all their covid requirements are like Aces. Yes, and if they're not and I'm going to go, but yeah.
