August 26, 2024 - Diocese hosts fourth annual Renewal Mass

The Diocese of Buffalo held its fourth Renewal Mass, Sunday, August 25, at St. Stanislaus Church in Buffalo. Each year since the first Renewal Mass in 2021, praying the Rosary precedes the Mass, after which a knot is untied from a rope symbolizing the struggles of the modern church: abuse, indifference, mistrust, lack of faith, and isolation.

The Diocese of Buffalo will host a training session Saturday, August 10 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) for individuals interested in leading Alpha courses at their local parishes this fall. Alpha is a program originating from England which invites participants to eat, watch video, and then engage in candid discussions about their faith, and the many questions they may have about it.

July 16, 2024 - Faithful get to touch relics of St. Gianna Molla at OLV Basilica

An estimated 50 guests attending a veneration of St. Gianna Molla's relics were given the opportunity to actually touch them, with no protective glass or other surface in the way. Dr. Gianna Emanuela Molla was among those in attendance, as she continued a visit to Western New York celebrating the legacy of her mother, the patron saint of physicians, mothers, and unborn children.

July 2, 2024 - Nearly 60 students gather for Summer Intensive Faith Formation

Teens affiliated with parishes in the Diocese of Buffalo's Parish Family #7 have just completed a five-day faith formation program which allowed them to learn about different perspectives, some local Catholic faith history, and about service. WNY Catholic Audio was there as the participants learned, for example, about poverty which exists in their own community and the need to take it on.
