Insecurity presents itself in a myriad of ways. It carries torment because it is rooted in fear. Somehow we are not enough or too much. We hide or try to prove ourselves. When we hide, we fail to contribute to the world the beauty of who we are and what we are called to give to the world. When we are in “prove yourself mode” we also fail to release to the world the beauty of who truly we are, in favor of what we are trying to be. We may share what we are called to carry to the world, but we do it in a way that is really all about us. Letting God minister your “enough-ness” over and over will settle you. He releases the beauty of who you are and the power of what you carry without hiding or having to puff yourself up. Love ultimately mirrors you in His image.
